"Well positioned near the Uffizi gallery, the more than 30-year-old Gelateria dei Neri has high ceilings and a large gelato counter with a wide array of flavors, as well as another case for granita and semifreddo. Gelato comes in big portions and the flavor selection is wide-ranging and creative, from salted caramel to ricotta with fig. The shop is one of the only places we've seen that does an on-trend matcha; additionally, its pistachio ricotta cremino—essentially pistachio nutella—is devilishly good. A Gelato Gem in Florence! Gelateria Dei Neri is truly one of the best gelato spots in Florence. Regrettably, I discovered this gem only after being in the city for three years. Since then, I find myself returning at least once a week—it's that irresistible! The flavors are exquisite, and the quality is unmatched. I can't help but yearn to go back every time I think about it. A must-visit whenever you're in Florence!

Very delicious ice cream with unusual flavors, such as spicy black chocolate or mango cheesecake. The service is attentive; the girl behind the counter warned that this type of ice cream would be spicy and offered a sample first. A large cone with 2 big scoops costs 6 euros.

Top quality gelato you can find in this place. They have many flavors and you can choose various portions. I recommend taking not more than 2 flavors at a time as the portions are big. If you are brave you can also get a giant sweet pastrt bun filled with gelato in it.

This place is very crowded. There was a queue but it does move fast. Once inside, you have no time to look at the flavours (which are all in Italian), shop is small and you are rushed. No complaints about the flavours/taste. However, there are other gelatarias which are equally good and less crowded. It’s in a heavy tourist traffic area, hence the crowd.

We were visiting Florence for one day and we had to choose one place to try gelato and given the popularity of this place , we had to try it. We waited few minutes in line before it was our turn. We tried three different flavors and all of them were amazing. If only I could teleport my self to this place to try their gelato again.

This is definitely of the top geleterias in Florence and I would highly recommend trying it! They have a lot of flavors, we tried about 8 over multiple trips and I can say all of them were amazing in their own ways. My favorite ones were the passion fruit, the fig ricotta, the berries and the salted caramel, you really can’t go wrong with any of them. Definitely try multiple before picking your flavors. It’s crowded during peak times so you might have to way but they are also open until midnight!
