"We know about Gelateria Tony because our Roman cab driver wouldn't stop raving about it during our commute from the airport. Since opening in the '60s, locals from the Monteverde neighborhood have been flocking here. Tony sticks to the classics while adding some surprises, like babà al rum and apricot crostata. Their Nutella with fior di latte is sweet and sticky in the best way, and their silky, smooth zabaione tastes like liqueur-soaked golden raisins. " - annie replogle, gillian mcguire

We tried the brioche with Gelato, which was okay, but the ice cream itself was not that special. The flavors were not intense and somehow a bit artificial, especially the nutty ones.

Oh my goodness the gelato from Tony’s is incredible and no amount of words can do justice to describe it. I had 4 flavours in my cone and each one was heavenly.

Great place with LOTS of options that were excellent! Also VERY affordable. Servers spoke Italian and Spanish so took a second to get my order in as I'm a spoiled American that typical gets by on English alone. Would go a few more times if I wasn't leaving town tomorrow early. Highly recommend.

To me (and to many others) among the best gelaterie in the district and probably in town. Some may complain their gelato is not homemade/natural... I don't mind, it's tasty and not excessively sugary. Top tier gelateria but the bar is (below) average.

Delicious, tasty ice-cream and a very wide range of flavours. Absolutely the best I've had in Rome. Friendly staff.

Average quality gelateria, ice cream tastes good. A bit heavy to digest. Despite being famed and at the very heart of Monteverde, I still believe there are better alternatives in the neighbourhood.
