What a delicious treat after lunch. The flavors here are traditional as well as wonderful combinations of delectable ingredients. There are so many choices. After tasting so many flavors, I chose Lemon Sorbet for its sour, sweet flavor😋😋😋. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Will definitely return for more🍨🍨🍨

Google
Popular spot with a line out the door and some fun, unique flavors. Prices have definitely gone up — over $6 for a single scoop — but the gelato is rich. Good vegan options too. Worth a stop if you’re in the area, just be ready to splurge a little.

For the past two years, this has been our go-to spot for every ice cream or gelato craving. My husband and I keep coming back to Gelato & Angels and we’ve raved about it to our friends and family too. The gelato here is exceptional. You’re welcome to sample as many flavors as you’d like, and the staff is always friendly and patient with questions. They even offer free waffle bits! Their vegan options are just as creamy and flavorful as the regular ones. We recently tried their newest addition, the Dubai Chocolate gelato…soooo good. Start with the classic flavors first. If a place can perfect Italian staples like pistachio and hazelnut, you know they take their gelato seriously.

Google
I tried the mango and lavender gelato, and it was a perfect balance of flavors. The mango had a fresh, natural taste—rich with real mango pieces, not overly sweet but still bursting with flavor. The lavender was smooth and floral without being overpowering. Together, they were refreshing and unique. Plus, the customer service was warm and welcoming, making the experience even better.

Google
best gelato i’ve had in la. super creamy, rich flavors and just the right amount of sweetness. i got mine and walked straight to the beach — kind of the perfect combo. tons of fun and classic options, and the staff was really friendly and patient while i tried a few. definitely coming back anytime i’m in manhattan beach.

Delicious gelato in Manhattan Beach! This place has a huge selection of flavors. Samples are welcome! We tried a ton of different options before deciding. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. We had a large group come in, and they were so patient with us! The gelato tastes so good! Everyone in our group loved it and their flavors. You get a waffle cone wafer with your gelato, which is a nice touch. Definitely recommend stopping in. Not often you find a good gelato spot - you won't regret coming here!

Google
So many vegan options! I'm allergic to dairy, so I get stuck with sorbet, but not here! I got biscotti vegan sorbet. Super creamy and delicious. They have an entire section of vegan options. Like 8 flavors to choose! If you sit on the bench outside, you get an ocean view too! Lady who works there is super sweet too!

Google
Best gelato in the South Bay, everything homemade! Huge selection of vegan and regular flavors. And for German tourists, they have Spaghetti-Eis, since the owners are Italian-German :-)

Yelp
Hey Angels, Was on the hunt for some gelato for me and the kiddos. I already knew it was gonna hurt the wallet because gelatos are outrageously expensive, every kid wants their own cup, and it's right next to manhattan beach... so can't hold the price against you.... The gelato though.. I can hold against you!... but the gelato flavors were on point. Nice variety. Every flavor seemed pretty good. You were also super nice and happily dished out samples and catered to my kiddos. Definitely felt like a mom and pop shop. When you found out it was my wife's birthday you tried to hers a bit more special. Four stars can be earned through good food... It's the extra touch that earns businesses the final fifth star. Though your gelato alone deserves it. Will return again in the future. Thanks!

Yelp
Love this place. Service is so friendly and warm, and there are always a plethora of delicious gelato flavors (including vegan and no sugar added varieties!) Tonight we got some "protein gelato" to enjoy later (i.e., another day), but we ended up eating the whole jar after we already had a double scoop! Super rich and super yummy!!

Yelp
Delightful little gelato shop with a great selection and HIGE portions! I ordered the kids scoop and I still got two large scoops. The Limoncello was delicious and I highly recommend. Just a short walk from the pier in Manhattan Beach.

Yelp
Had dinner and Brewco Social. After dinner, I needed something sweet. I yelped Gelato and was lead to this location. I parked and made my way over. I was craving deep, dark chocolate and I was not disappointed. I had the chocolate sorbet and it was perfect. I also picked up a chocolate chip cookie. My night's been made. The lovely lady behind the corner, she is just a sublime human being. An overall wonderful experience. I'll definitely be going back.

Yelp
What a cute gelato spot! Has spaghetti eis reminiscent of Europe. Has so many vegan flavors that are fruity like guava lemon berry mango strawberry pineapple but also chocolate lavender limoncello coconut and hazelnut among others. Your ice cream comes w free topping. Service was so friendly. There's one outdoor bench but long benches inside no indoor or outdoor tables. Cute to stop by prior to beach walk

Yelp
Henry's Take, Takes L.A.! Part 1 Pretty catchy slogan, don't you think? We haven't launched a new series in a while and we are indebted to @1ehernandez for his creative suggestion for this series (and also for branding it). So where does one begin in the "City of Angels?" While there are countless starting points available, we chose "Gelato and Angels." It just makes sense, right? Our Review Team brought with us the individual tastes of 8 varying palettes and yet no concerns were expressed about finding something to sample. In keeping with the L.A. theme I went with the "La Brea Tarpits" flavor and I never found myself hopelessly "stuck" in a cavity of flavorlessness. In addition to the other impressive selection of flavors I was surprised by their offering of no less than a dozen Vegan flavors. Although I didn't try these items, my imagination was captured by their "Donut Gelato Sandwich" and their "Spaghetti Sundae." Not brave enough to try them mind you, but intrigued nonetheless. And that's...Henry's Take. #lagelato

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this spot for a while. I am glad I did and now it will be my go to spot for desserts! I love the people, Stephanie and crew are so friendly, just like a neighborhood spot. The gelato tastes fresh, with good ingredients, and not so sweet like most ice cream. They also have so many flavors to try, as well as different types of dessert. A must try, especially if you are in Manhattan Beach and also only go to MB Creamery!!

Yelp
One of my favorite places to hang out after a long day of work and indulge in some tender, creamy, Ice Cream. I love sitting on the navy blue leather bench, and talking politics with a lot of the guys in the shop, most of them tend to be on the right side of history, but there's a few liberals.... I always make sure to not tip them, and donate to charity instead, in order to fulfill their political agenda. I tend to come here 1-2 times a month and every time I always leave in a splendid mode, I was surprised to see the photo of jimmy kimmel on the wall, considering all of the Epstein Flight controversy....

Yelp
Great small gelato hole in the wall serving authentic Italian gelato. This place has lots of flavors to choose from. I tasted the guava and blood orange vegan style but went with my go to chocolate flavors. I ordered the chocolate mousse pie and toasted almonds. Nice and light, not too sweet and chocolaty. Service was awesome. We went on a lazy overcast Saturday and the place was not busy that day. Servers were polite and attentive. We would go here again when in the area to try the other flavors.

Yelp
Great gelato place for a quick trip for dessert! They have vegan and Keto friendly options! I specifically enjoyed the fresh mango, strawberry, and watermelon gelato! Yum! So refreshing! I also wanted something rich and creamy and got the La brea tar pits gelato!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so cool with tons of options like ice cream spaghetti! We were honestly too full for ice cream but we had to get dessert and luckily Gelato and Angels is open pretty late. We tried a scoop of the Nutella and Taro both super delicious and creamy and high quality. I can't wait to come back to try their ice cream donuts, and spaghetti sundae.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING GELATO. The Pistachio & Lemon Hibiscus are absolutely heavenly. A must stop if in MB!!!

Larry G.

Yelp
Just wanted everyone to know what we feel is the BEST GELATO in MB. Gelato and Angels is not as popular as The Creamery or Salt and Straw, but it is by far superior to them as far as the quality of their gelato. It tastes like the gelato you get in Europe. Stephanie, the owner, imports her ingredients from Europe and makes all the flavors herself. We like to support local businesses and feel that this small business deserves everyone give it a try. Yelp
Gelato and Angels has delicious gelato but the problem with this establishment is the service. The girls rolled their eyes, did not greet us, were visible bothered that they had to wait on us, eating behind the counter. Not even a thank you. I'd consider the ice cream down the road Salt and Straw. We all work very hard for our money. I want to spend my money where it is appreciated.
google avatar

Lucas C.

Yelp
This is a perfect place to get gelato, lots of great flavors to choose from. It is a family owned establishment, and the owners are very nice people. They also have coffee/espresso, which I like as well. I highly recommend. If you happen to find yourself nearby, I would suggest going in.
google avatar

Amy X.

Yelp
I love this gelato spot in Manhattan beach! They offer lots of different flavors and also have vegan options. They let you try samples and every time I'm here, there's never a long line so it's not stressful deciding on a flavor. My favorite to get here is the Stracciatella on a waffle cone. It's so good! Parking can be kinda difficult because it's mainly street parking.

Yelp
This gelato place unexpectedly blew me away! I was astounded by their vegan flavors because they had so many to choose from. I wish I had taken pictures, but they have different fruit sorbets like mango and lemon but also creamy vegan gelatos in flavors like strawberry, mint chip, coconut, hazelnut, etc. The texture was incredibly creamy and smooth as well. Not watery and no bad aftertaste. I'm so impressed. Usually, it can be quite difficult to find vegan gelato that compares to the real thing. My non-vegan partner loved the vegan flavors as well. Next time I go back, I will definitely take some more pictures. The employees were also super friendly and helpful. Plus, the place is so cute right next to the water! Perfect for date night 10/10

Yelp
Such delicious gelatos. Perfect location to have a nice gelato treat after you finish the beach or have some food from one the many restaurants. Great customer service, stop by and check out their great selection of regular and vegan gelatos. They also let you taste test.

Yelp
Based solely on the lavender and honey gelato I ordered. It was wonderfully relaxing flavor of a dessert. You could taste the natural aroma of lavender in every bite without being overwhelming. It paired perfectly with a nice crispy cone. Note there are no tastings due to COVID-19. The employee was really kind to answer any questions about the flavors. Would def come back.

Gem Y.

Yelp
One scoop with sugar cone is around $7. They had some refrigerator issue, and ice cream was already halfway melted when scooping. I have tried their lavender ice cream before, and I think its color got darker and the taste of lavender got stronger.

Yelp
Gelato and Angels is a good place to hang out and get some desserts when you are hanging out in Manhattan Beach. It's walkable to the beach but also has some seats for you to sit and enjoy your treats inside the shop, too. My friend and I were hanging out in the area so we decided to check out an ice cream shop in the area. My friend got affogato and he literally wolfed it down in less than 5 min. I got a spaghetti sundae and thought the ice cream was good (although the spaghetti shape waa more of a gimmick to make the plate looks interesting...nothing really different than your typical ice cream with whipped cream and topping). Overall, a great place to hang out and not expensive. The staff was friendly and patient when we asked her some questions, too. One drawback though...no restroom for customers to use.
google avatar

Marsha G.

Yelp
If you want some good gelato head to this place. Just the smell alone when you walk is intoxicating and the amount of flavors to choose from is almost overwhelming lol. But there is something there for everyone, they have fruit options, chocolate options, and even vegan options. I wanted to try them all!! We ended up trying vanilla butterscotch and pecans, cheesecake ( raspberry), gelato special, and chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. Honestly wasn't that into the cookie. I have had much better cookie sandwiches but the gelato hands down the best I've had in a long time.
google avatar

Yaoska R.

Yelp
This gelato was soo good! I recommend the vegan chocolate! I was very pleasantly surprised. Chocolatey, creamy, and not sugary. It's a clean snack. I don't even like chocolate flavored snacks. But that vegan gelato is definitely special. Their (non-vegan) pistachio was so good too!! Another Plus: they're open late!! And the location is fun, right in the heart of Manhattan Beach.

Yelp
Wanted gelato in downtown Manhattan Beach and this place hit the spot! Good service, wide variety of flavors, decent portions. Tasted ok, only downside was the price was extremely high. Great location right near the beach, give it a shot but budget accordingly!

Yelp
I love the vanilla bean gelato and their cones are so good! Service is alright, there is very young teenagers working there when I have gone

Yelp
Affogato was perfect! Great service, friendly vibe! Highly recommend this little ice cream shop!

Yelp
Ambiance: tiny and narrow ice cream shop located near the Manhattan beach pier, limited seats and very hot inside, good for to go orders Service: very friendly and patient with specific request Food: so many choices of different flavors Watermelon - *** sweet taste Berry Mix - *** sour taste Pistachio - **** unique flavor, recommend Raspberry Cheese Cake - *** light taste Yogurt Berries - **** refreshing, recommend Gelato & Angels - ***** so creamy and crunchy chocolate chips, highly recommend Price: inexpensive, less than $10 per order

Yelp
Review is solely for the Spaghetti Eis. Learned that they serve this Euro-based dessert (vanilla ice cream shaped into pasta-like strings, strawberry sauce, and white chocolate shavings that all mimic a spaghetti dish) so of course I had to try it out when I was nearby. It's in the village area so there's street parking and the shop is easy to find. They have indoor seating and an outdoor bench. While the plate was not quite the SpaghettiEis from my childhood in Germany, the look was convincing enough and the portion was large and shareable. I also appreciate that the option is available on this side of the coast. The many gelato flavors looked pretty good, so I'd probably like to try their main fare next time, or even maybe a variation of the Spaghetti Eis. 3.5

Yelp
My family and I came after a long day of swimming. There was a wide variety of flavors and I really appreciated the fact that there were also many vegan options. The cones were super good and stayed in tact the whole time I was eating. I do wish that the gelato did not melt as quickly as it did :)

Alejandro A.

Yelp
Absolutely distasteful‼‼‼ I came in wanting ice cream and left with sadness. The whole experience has tainted my want for ice cream for the rest of my life. And what makes things worse is that the person who "helped" me was so full of himself. He started forcing his muscle to contract and going on his tippiest of toes while putting together the geladough. Also my big cookie was harder than a Bulgarian crossword puzzle in Chinese. Zero ambiance. Like holy macarole‼‼‼ #heisnotgoingpro #icecream #gelato #dabonthemhater #whatispotato

Yelp
Hands down the best ice cream/gelato in Manhattan Beach!! Service is always wonderful and it's extremely high quality

Yelp
Excellent spaghetti ice cream! Try it, you will love it. Tastes like the spaghetti ice cream you get in Germany!

Yelp
My grandson loves Gelato and Angels. It is vegan I think so great for all. There are a ton of flavors from which to choose and you can have it in a cup or cone. The place is super cute. Gelato Angels is located on the main tourist drag of Manhattan Beach. It is often crowded and during the summer you may wait a bit, but the service is fast and just super friendly. My grandson loves all of it so I don't have one thing you must try. They will give you samples of whatever you want to try and you can go from there. Parking is not easy there, but you will find a spot and you will have to walk a bit to get to this adorable store front. It is spotless, and just super cute. They have very limited seating. Most take their gelato and continue to walk Manhattan Beach Blvd. If you are visiting the area this is a must stop for local flavor. The locals are friendly, and the entire area is fun. Besides the great gelato, the service is wonderful. My grandson decided half way into his cup that he just had to have more sprinkles. He went up to the counter to order and the kind server made his cup look great again, added a ton of sprinkles and charged nothing for it. How sweet. We will be back every time we go to Manhattan Beach. Have a great time.

Yelp
Delicious! You can try any flavor you want, they have a variety of different gelato flavors like Thai tea boba, green tea, Taro, and then more common flavors like mocha, espresso, pistachio, salted caramel. They also have egg waffle cones, cookies, donut sandwiches, brownie bowls. We got the lemoncello gelato which was vegan and it wasn't too sweet which was perfect. It had a strong lemon flavor. The fudge brownie was amazing - it was warm, gooey and melty inside and it tasted heavenly. Definitely recommend here over the Manhattan creamery down the street in terms of satisfying portions, but if you don't like gelato and just want ice cream the creamery might be a better choice. I liked the egg waffles and donuts and brownie options they had here though. Amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome little shop, authentic Italian gelato, with incredible flavors. It's literally tiny, but very clean, cozy and full of flavor shop. They have options: waffle cones or cups and creamy shakes and coffee I got the yummiest, dulce de leche double espresso and whipped cream. Baristas were awesome, friendly and knowledgeable and made my drink in seconds. Would definitely be back and would strongly recommend to try them out.
google avatar

Kaylie C.

Yelp
Great to grab under sunny sky. I took out one star because it tasted less chunky that I like personally.
google avatar

Toshi I.

Yelp
Yum! It was a hot day walking and we popped in for a taste of this gelato. I was really intrigued by the Charcoal (vanilla). The servers here are really polite and I would definitely stop in again.
google avatar

Tara C.

Yelp
This place is awesome if you are looking for vegan options! They have an entire case with a vegan selection (and they aren't just sorbets)! We got the double dark chocolate and chocolate almond and both flavors were awesome!
google avatar

GG M.

Yelp
No clue how long been open but noticed first time this past weekend visiting from the valley. Hard to tell from across the street if its a clothing boutique shop or actual gelato shop. Thankfully it was the latter. Straight to hazelnut flavor as always for me anywhere gelato, they stack it good, the sugar cone is crisp and fresh. Costs about 5.5 bucks. Liked it a lot. wife tried 1/2 scoop chocolate 1/2 scoop hazelnut, liked as well. Bit cramped and crowded/narrow but not their fault.
google avatar

Franklin M.

Yelp
After walking around and window shopping we decided on having a sweet treat. They had so many different flavors to choose from but found a new one to try. The gelato was very creamy and full of flavor.
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
Not the best gelato/sorbet I've ever had. Nice place, nice location, decent service. I just wasn't very impressed by the product. Due to Covid-19, you cannot sample, which didn't work well in my favor because the flavors I chose turned out to be lackluster. Typically I like anything Mango flavored but this was underwhelming. If you aren't a gelato snob like myself and just looking to try it out, I'm sure this would suffice. However, if you are already a big fan, this may not quell your gelato urges. No exclusive parking here. You'll need to park on the slanted street spots or walk from elsewhere. Area is a nice walkable section of Manhattan Beach.
google avatar

Vincent P.

Yelp
Not quite impressed with the gelato here. The flavors didn't standout and for a small size, it was quite an expensive cup of gelato ($6.50). I was initially interested in the spaghetti ice cream but decided to just order a regular cup of gelato since I was still full from my dinner. The worker was friendly and gave us plenty of samples to help us choose. I decided to get the Lavender and Mint Chip flavors. The taste and texture of the gelato wasn't the best, I wasn't exactly satisfied with it. The expensive price for a small cup of gelato is also a detergent to coming back. The spaghetti ice cream seems interesting, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.
google avatar

Nick G.

Yelp
Ordered the geladough ice cream sandwich with white Nutella ice cream and churro topping. Very delicious. Donut was warm and tasty. The white Nutella ice cream was cold on the inside and very good. Will recommend to others
google avatar

Nina W.

Yelp
We walked here after the line for Manhattan Beach creamery was super long. This place is small but has great gelato! We got the pina colada, mango and lavender honey. I loved how refreshing the flavors were and they weren't sweet. Service was also fast and friendly and they let me sample all the flavors I wanted. The price is a bit high at $6.25 for a small cup but it's enough to split. You get to pick up to 3 flavors. Awesome treat for a hot summer day. I may come back to get some of the more "heavy" flavors. I did sample the pistachio and it was super nutty and delicious so that may be my next order ;).

Yelp
Updated pics! A must visit if you're in the area! The best eats are the ones with character lol. Presentation is everything!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the location (right in the middle of all the buzz) and the employees (owners?) Were sooooo nice! I had the honey lavendar and am literally still dreaming about it *pans to me with my mouth watering* Would definitely recommend! Stay Cheerful ;)
google avatar

Sarah N.

Yelp
Stopped by for a sweet treat for the kids. Space is cute and decorated with lots of Italia stuff. The young staff were friendly and funny! I ordered the pasta looking gelato and two small cones. The lemon sorbet was really sour and not enough sweet...not very good. But my daughter still ate it. The twins loved their cones and made a huge mess with them. Not a bad spot for some yummy gelato :)
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Pretty mediocre gelato to be honest. We chose to come here instead of the creamery around the corner because it was empty while the creamery had a long line. Now, I understand why that is. usually gelato is creamy, flavorful and rich. It was definitely creamy but none of our flavors had any actual flavor! It was extremely mild and you couldn't tell the difference between them which I've never experienced with gelato. Very disappointing. The inside is nice and there is a ton of different flavors. Prices are decent.

Yelp
Spaghetti gelato, the latest craze in town. Who would have thought that these two completely different things can be combined into one. What's even more surprising is that you can have spaghetti as a dessert. This shop which is located near the Manhattan Beach, offers gelato in various forms, the most famous of which is the spaghetti gelato. You can choose your own flavored gelato which is then put in a spaghetti press and voila, your spaghetti gelato is ready! You can have it on a cone or a plate with your choice of garnishes and toppings. Watching my gelato comes out of the machine is so mesmerizing. I felt that I've seen that scene before when playing with Playdough Pasta Machine. Who knew this could have been an entrepreneurial training that I didn't pay attention to. Oh, well... Gelato and Angels also offer a geladough which is a donut or croissant filled with your choice of gelato. They also have cannoli gelato, macaron gelato sandwiches, gelato cookie sandwiches, gelato tacos, gelato pops, etc. Too many options to choose to cool down in this hot weather.
