Google
Lots of ice cream and gelato flavors to choose from; everything looked so good! We tried a few, but the pistachio was definitely our favorite. Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Great spot

Sharva H.

Google
Great customer service. Salena was very courteous and friendly. I tried 3 different flavors (brownie peanut butter, coffee chocolate chip, ooey gooey carmel)and they were all amazing! I settled on the first two. You have to have the Gelato Boy experience!

Andrew S.

Google
Fantastic flavors and fresh taste, not cloyingly fatty or sweet! Can’t wait to return! I tried the lavender poppy, Sicilian pistachio and cookie jar… but will go back for some others!

Google
Gelato Boy in Denver is hands-down one of the best dessert stops in the city. From the moment you walk in, it feels fresh, inviting, and full of creative energy — a perfect mix of Italian tradition and Colorado cool. The gelato itself is exceptional. Every flavor tastes rich and authentic, with that smooth, dense texture that only true gelato has. Favorites like pistachio and dark chocolate are deeply flavorful, while inventive options like lavender poppyseed, mango coconut, and raspberry mascarpone show how much care goes into each batch. They even offer vegan and dairy-free options that are every bit as creamy and satisfying as the classics. The shop is bright, clean, and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. They’re always happy to offer samples and help you find the perfect combo — and they clearly take pride in what they do. The attention to detail extends beyond the gelato, with gluten-free cones, affogatos (gelato with espresso), and even cookie sandwiches for those looking to really indulge. Located right on the 16th Street Mall, Gelato Boy is easy to find and a perfect stop after dinner or while exploring downtown. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and portions are generous. In short: this place nails it — artisanal quality, great service, and pure joy in every scoop. If you love gelato, or even just good dessert, Gelato Boy is a must-visit in Denver.

Google
OMG. Creamy. Tasty. No ice crystals. The pistachio tastes like pistachios. The peanut butter brownie taste like that stuff too. The butter cake and caramel has chunks of butter cake. Best gelato ever tasted in Denver. Don’t walk. RUN! Get some creamy tasty goodness.

Sai Datta M.

Google
I wouldn’t say it was bad, but it wasn’t particularly good either. We tried several flavors, but none of them stood out — they just weren’t very bold or intense. I also got an ice cream sandwich, and the cookies weren’t even warm, which took away from the experience.

Sarah D.

Google
Thank God they offer a flavor flight so you can pick six flavors, because everything they have is incredible! We tried the dairy free dark chocolate, lavender poppy, pistachio, cookie jar, lemon whoopie pie, and chocolate hazelnut- all fantastic.

Basma A.

Google
WOW…this store has Ice cream made from gelato gives it a special taste and texture; the best flavors are blueberry cheesecake, hazelnut, and cookies and cream. Differently, I will try the rest of the flavors soon.

Yelp
Try their berry cheesecake and PB & choco scoops... you won't want to get anything else ever again. Super fresh, full of flavor and not icy... true gelato and not your gimmicky icy ice cream PS: skip the standalone brownie... it's expensive and I'm pretty sure it's not house-made. Or get it if your wife really really wants it ;)

Yelp
This little shop is located along 16 th street right across from the mall. There is metered street parking and commercial parking garages within a reasonable walking distance. The shop serves an assortment of exotic gelato that you can get in a cup, a la mode, or as a cookie sandwich. I opted to go with the cookie sandwich. They allow you to try samples of their ice cream using washable metal spoons. They have a couple of table/chairs in the dining area to eat. There is also a few chairs on the patio out front. I ate my treat on one of the benches along 16 th street. The staff there were very friendly. After getting a sample, I ordered a Hot Honey Biscuit ice cream cookie. It took a few minutes for the woman to prepare it. It was served in styrofoam container. It started of tasting really good. Then As I progressed through eating it, it just became average tasting and the cookie started to overwhelm the ice cream. It was odd. I think the cookie could have been better also. With that being said, I still would probably visit this place again. My frozen treat was not horrible and they have many other options for me to try.

Yelp
Kinda the highlight of my evening! Greeted immediately by the friendly staff. Menu clearly marked four dairy-free options. This shop restricts samples by a certain time in the evening (time unknown), but staff was nice enough to provide her recommendations. Small size can accommodate two flavors. So we ordered Mango Coconut and Toasted Coconut Chocolate Chunk. WOW! https://yelp.to/rRmcXx5imM The flavors rocked my world! These vegan options are made with a coconut base and the consistency has a bit of a stretchy texture. Perfect ratio of gelato to mixed-in ingredients (chocolate chunks, shredded coconut, bits of mango). I especially like that the chocolate chunks were chunky without being super hard to bite into. Small shop with about 3 tables. We were the only ones in there at 9:30pm on a Thursday. But then it became crowded just before we left. Absulutely a memorable sweet spot during our trip to Denver. I wonder if they ship to SoCal :)

Yelp
I stopped in here with a friend after dinner and while there was a line, it moved quickly. I had a small with Chocolate hazelnut crunch and peanut butter brownie; a small is 2 scoops so you can pick two flavors. If you want just one scoop they have an extra small. I went with a cup instead of a cone because it was so hot out and I envisioned ice cream dripping all over, but the waffle comes looked good. Both flavors were excellent. There is a fair amount of seating on benches in the area; definitely plan to eat outside as the place is pretty small and there isn't much room inside.
google avatar

Carissa E.

Yelp
It was super busy and crowded in there but we still had fast service. The gelato was fire - I had the salted caramel.
google avatar

Jackie R.

Yelp
Very small place, but perfect for a sweet treat. The ice cream was good, waffle cone was fresh. It was a perfect treat that we ate outside.
google avatar

Susan B.

Yelp
Yum!!! Expensive, yes. Delicious, YES!! Worth the splurge for sure! I had the gooey caramel cake and peanut butter brownie - so good!! The girl behind the counter was by herself, so busy, but handled it well! The servings were generous in my opinion. I couldn't even finish my small cut as it was so rich!

Yelp
Happened to see this place on the way back from lunch to our hotel in downtown Denver and we were just in the mood for something sweet. We went in on a late Friday afternoon and there was no wait and the tables were completely empty. Staff were very helpful and friendly and you are free to sample as much of the gelato as you like. They have a regular waffle or a churro waffle and I was recommended their churro waffle and it didn't disappoint. Added layer of cinnamon sweet goodness (as I got it warmed) that went great with our 2 scoops of gelato. I got the salty cookies and cream and gooey butter cake with caramel. The butter cake also has a bit of sea salt in it too, so this was the perfect balance of salty sweet for me. The salty cookies and cream is mad with their own version of Oreos and is their newer take on the classic flavor. Definitely lighter and not as sweet. I believe they have dairy free and other dietary options for their ice cream, as well as cookies and brownies too. Overall, pretty good place to get some gelato!

Bill F.

Yelp
Gelato Boy is easily one of the best dessert spots in Denver. Every flavor is rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced -- you can tell they take gelato seriously here. I loved the pistachio and dark chocolate, but the lavender poppyseed and mango coconut were next-level creative. They also have vegan and dairy-free options that taste just as good as the classics. The shop is bright, clean, and the staff are super friendly -- they're happy to let you sample and help you find your favorite combo. Located right on 16th Street Mall, it's the perfect stop after dinner or while exploring downtown. Great vibe, generous scoops, and high-quality ingredients. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Denver!

Yelp
Unique place to get something nice and cool to beat the heat. They also have seasonal flavors
google avatar

Kaylee G.

Yelp
Wednesday night around 4 PM wasn't busy at all Service was fast and friendly Nice relaxing little place The gelato itself has great flavor and great texture, it's not icy at all very creamy and has a slight stretchy texture Pistachio and vanilla poppy 11/10 for both flavors
google avatar

Monica K.

Yelp
Came here on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. I just needed a little pick me up so I opted for one scoop of the gooey butter gelato. It was AMAZING! However it was a little pricey for how little I got. I would still recommend trying it out because it was worth it and a perfect way to beat the heat.

Aliyah M.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! The ice cream is so creamy and full of flavor you can really taste the quality in every scoop. The shop itself is adorable and always pretty clean and the staff are super friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Tucked into the 16th street mall promenade. This place was open late on a Saturday night. I loved seeing that their gelatos were soaring up high and brightly colored. You know it's good when you see those silver tops!! I chose a chocolate crunch and pistachio mix. The crunch was delicious, but the pistachio a little lacking of the regular flavor I can taste with pistachio. The service was quick and straight to the point. I do wish the place was a little more lively in terms of ambiance. It was a bit too quiet and awkward as you ordered. Kinda wish there was some tunes to help out. All in all it wasn't bad for a late night joint.

Kamryn M.

Yelp
Great little gelato shop right on 16th street mall. Friendly staff and delicious gelato!
google avatar

Yuri J.

Yelp
We love how close this gelato spot was to our hotel in Downtown Denver! Gelato Boy was recommended to us, and the flavors were both classic and unique. Loved the creamy texture and chunks in the ice cream. Split small scoop was perfect night cap! Salty cookies n cream is an absolute must - not too salty and it's a fun twist on Oreo. The milk and cookies reminds me of the Ben & Jerry's flavors, with lots of cookies swirled in.
google avatar

Allison L.

Yelp
My friends and I were in the mood for gelato while shopping, so we popped into gelato boy. I like that they offer a variety of flavors and dairy free flavors. They also let you sample. I had the small lemon poppyseed and strawberry. Even for being dairy free, they were pretty creamy and had a good mouth feel. There is limited seating inside. Clean tables. I appreciated that the AC was on because it was a hot day!
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Disappointed in the lack of creaminess and flavor in both my scoops - salty cookies & cream and milk & cookies. Don't think I would have been able to say what the flavors were if I didn't know ahead of time. There was also an absence of cookie pieces. I ordered a cookie and brownie and were thankful that they warmed them up, but again, not much flavor. They also didn't seem freshly baked or homemade. I'd opt for another gelato/ice cream shop based off of this experience.
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
I will never say no to a gelato/ice cream spot, especially during a hot weekend in Denver! I am a sorbet type person, so I loved they had a dairy free fruity option which was strawberry. I thought the flavor was very good and not as creamy as a typical ice cream, which I thought was exactly what I was looking for. If you're shopping around the 16th Street Mall area and looking for a sweet treat to cool down, I would recommend Gelato Boy.
google avatar

Grace W.

Yelp
Delicious flavors love to see what they switch up when I go! I also love getting the to go pints for easy access at home
google avatar

Noel J.

Yelp
This is a cute gelato spot right on the strip of 16th street mall. The customer service was amazing. They were so friendly and answered all my questions. My nephews are the ones who actually for cones. I just taste tested two flavors the flavor I first tried was the hot honey biscuit and it literally tasted like Honey biscuit with a kick (spice) as well as some little things of actual biscuit in it as well. I liked it a lot it was creamy and all gelatos are in house made the next flavor I tried was gooey butter cake and caramel. This one was probably my favorite. It was definitely gooey and you tasted every bit of all the flavors. If I'm ever in the area I'll definitely be back to try whatever the new flavor of the week is.
google avatar

Phillip B.

Yelp
Very friendly place unfortunately in the midst of the rubble that going on at the 16th st mall. We went there for dessert after lunch and just chilled while enjoying their gelato's.
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
What a delicious treat! They have a great little rewards program! They recently celebrated 10 years and gave away some gift cards on instagram and I was one of the lucky winners. We got to get 3 different scoops and 3 different flavors! The service was great ! The place was small but it's in another building you can cool off in while getting out of the summer heat! We tried Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch, Salty Cookies and Cream, and Raspberry Chocolate Chip! I thought all 3 flavors were delicious !
google avatar

Elise M.

Yelp
I tried the dairy free strawberry and the espresso chip, both were very good! I appreciate the variety of non-dairy flavors available. Also, it has a cute atmosphere and nice seatings option inside
google avatar

KJ E.

Yelp
I ran into a random building as it started to rain on Denver and ended up buying myself a small two-scoop of gelato from Gelato Boy. I had a two-scoop of lavender poppy and salted cookies and cream-- and the combo is a winner! Bummers: - Kinda steep for such a small serving and not offering a kid scoop option... I paid nearly $7 for this business - Not a small place and seating is outside

St L.

Yelp
Perfect after-dinner stop on our way back to the hotel. Cups, sugar cones, waffle cones and we even watched the heat up a cookie for their gelato sandwich. So many excellent flavors-I tried lavender poppy and mango coconut-so delicious! Next stop in was for chocolate hazelnut crunch, heavenly! There is often a line, but it moves, and the people who serve the gelato are so helpful. Chill ambiance with seating indoors and outside.
google avatar

Gio B.

Yelp
Great and Rich Gelato! Fav: pistachio, butter cake caramel and red velvet. 3 tables with stools available inside. Stools also available outside. Great service - would recommend!
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Visited this store over Labor Day weekend. Ordered a variety of flavors and all were delicious! So flavorful and satisfying. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The store was busy with lots of holiday customers but staff never missed a beat and customer service was excellent. Overall, we loved our experience and highly recommend!
google avatar

Amara R.

Yelp
I stopped by Gelato Boy on a recent trip to Denver. While I only had the one scoop, I promise it's worth the 5 stars I'm giving here. I ordered the dairy free dark chocolate gelato. It was so rich and delicious and I didn't miss the dairy at all. I spent the rest of my trip thinking about it and was so upset that I just couldn't make space for more of it. I fear I'll never have a dark chocolate gelato so good again!
google avatar

Janet D.

Yelp
Located right on 16th St. It's Gelato Boy. So expect an awesome creamy creation. My first Gelato Boy was in Boulder. There's a love story behind this incredible gelato. Native Coloradan Boy meets Italian girl in Italy. Falls in love with both girl and gelato. Gelato Boy was born. The closest thing you can get to an Italian gelato without a passport. I like their flavors. Whatever you get here you will most likely come back for more. Such great quality n creamy gelato!
google avatar

Ronnie T.

Yelp
So today I happened to catch this place out of the corner of my eye, and I decided that I would give it a go and try some of their gelato! I tried some samples, and then proceeded to place my order for a small cup of gelato. There were lots of folks ordering different kinds of flavors, and this just added to my excitement! Upon tasting the Buttercake Caramel, It was like taking a bite into love!!! The gooey richness of the caramel, combined with the soft notes of butter cake was pure bliss! I took my time eating every single last bite, while also letting the sunlight penetrate my skin. This is a great shop! Check it out! They are putting love into their gelato!
google avatar

Mallory S.

Yelp
this is really good gelato. a little pricey but worth it imo. I tried the milk chocolate fudge, lavender poppy, and lemon poppy. all so delicious. the staff are friendly too. i will definitely go back. ** keep in mind the seating here is only high top tables.
google avatar

Charlene T.

Yelp
By far the best gelato I've had outside of Italy. A lil on the pricey side but well worth it in my opinion. Cookie sandwich wasn't as good as just getting the straight up gelato. Gooey butter cake and caramel was my favorite flavor!

Grace H.

Yelp
Some of the best gelato I've had in awhile! It smells amazing when you walk in and fresh waffle cones made to order!

Hoodie H.

Yelp
Great service! Amazing gelato and an immaculate atmosphere in the store! Everyone here is so nice! I HIGHLY recommend the GOOEY BUTTERCAKE + CARAMEL
google avatar

Meg M.

Yelp
Cute spot on 16th street. Not bad. My friend really enjoyed it. For nondairy options there wasn't a huge selection, I only saw 2 when I went but still very good!

Tamar K.

Yelp
Friendly service and excellent gelato is a great combo. Owner is Venetian and makes gelato like a true Italian - in covered metal containers. Taste the difference in quality when prepared this way. I'm on vacation from Los Angeles and have yet to find a place in Cali that does this! I've had their pints from Gelsons, but the texture is so much creamier when taken freshly out of the metal containers. Employees said the owner had the containers imported from Italy. Slightly on the expensive side, but yes, worth every penny. The waffle had that perfectly just made slightly crunchy slightly chewy texture. Enjoy and you're welcome
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Really amazing gelato made with quality ingredients. When I was in Italy, a local told me the best gelato was not the kind that was showcased behind glass with fruits and chocolates decorating if. Truly good gelato gets kept in closed containers where you can't see it until scooped. This place serves just that, with some of my favorite Italian flavors like dark chocolate and Sicilian pistachio. The guy serving us was super friendly and helped us choose our flavors. Not really anywhere to sit down and eat your gelato, but I am still so glad I chose this place for dessert.
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
I was craving a milkshake and was happy to find out that I could grab one here. There's a good amount of ice cream flavours available so I'm sure everyone would be able to find something they want. For the milkshakes I was told I could have up to 4 flavours! Pretty wild. The milkshake was tasty but it ended up costume about $10 after tax and tip which feels a bit much for me to go back and grab again on a regular basis.
google avatar

Christina K.

Yelp
Pretty good selection of flavors. I ended up getting the Sicilian pistachio, which had really true pistachio flavor. On recommendation from our server, I paired it with the salty cookies and cream. There were a number of dairy free flavors as well. I mostly liked it, but did think it was too sweet. I did think it was rather decently priced - I saw one reviewer say it was way too expensive, but the small with up to two flavors was still a very generous portion in my opinion.
google avatar

Jessy B.

Yelp
I don't typically like gelato, in fact I came into this store thinking that it was ice cream. The staff was incredibly friendly and nice. They let me try four to five different flavors without giving me dirty looks, which I appreciated. Especially since they were very, very busy and the store is quite small. They have a couple tables for seating one to two people, if you come here with a large party be prepared to eat and walk. After deciding on a flavor ( cookies and chocolate chip ) I got it on a cone, which is another thing I never do. And then it wasn't until I had already eaten a few bites that I realized thenemployees shirt said "gelato boy" and I realized I was eating gelato and not ice cream. Let me tell you, this place changed my entire perspective on gelato. This some of the best cold treat dessert that I've ever had and I am sad that I am only visiting Denver and won't be able to enjoy it on a regular basis. Definitely give this place a shot!
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
The ice cream is excellent here, but it was the warmest ice cream shop I have ever been in. The teenagers working the counter or polite and quick, even though they were completely overworked.

Cameron M.

Yelp
This place was delicious, the options are great and everything is very well priced. The service is also top notch. Definitely check it out if you have the opportunity.

Garrett W.

Yelp
Best gelato ever???? I love it and I want more of it always. The salted Oreo I would stand in front of a moving vehicle for if it was crossing the road at the wrong time

Andrew M.

Yelp
Killer place and great gelato! So many delicious flavors and the people are wonderful. In the words of the T1000, "I'll be back."

Hoodie H.

Yelp
The people that work here are amazing! The quality of the gelato is some of the best I've had in Denver and the atmosphere of the store really was what originally drew me in! cannot recommend this place more

Julie V.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for gelato and Gelato Boy did not disappoint. I especially love the Dark Chocolate.
google avatar

Charlotte C.

Yelp
This was absolutely delicious. I never thought that i would enjoy lavender gelato but it was delicious. The worker was really nice and let us sample a bunch of flavors
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
This place is great - we had the hazelnut gelato and the gooey butter cake gelato with 2 chocolate chip cookies on the side. So, so good. It was all solidly tasty, which left us wanting more. Great location in the 16th Street Mall. You can enter from the outside or, if you are in the main building, there is a door to Gelato Boy there, too. The staff and service were nice. They were so accommodating and helped us figure out what we were going to order. They also offered us samples to help.
