"A novel new gelato shop is primed to take over along a busy stretch of West Hollywood soon. It’s called Gelato Festival, and just as the name implies it’s tied in with the decade-old international gelato festival founded in Florence, Italy. Gelato Festival (the event) is a near around the clock, around-the-world party, having launched over 100 events since 2010. Ticket holders get access to premium gelato vendors spinning their own stuff, and can even vote on winners in the end. Gelato Festival, the restaurant, is a small storefront almost directly across the street from Craig’s and around the corner of Gracias Madre. The plan there is to focus on a much smaller rotation of menu flavors and to offer an on-site lab for customers to learn about gelato’s past and future. Think of it like the Museum of Ice Cream, but with actual ice cream instead of Instagrammable installations. Not so coincidentally, the opening of Gelato Festival (again, the restaurant) on Saturday coincides with the arrival of Gelato Festival the festival next month in West Hollywood, on September 28 and 29. Tickets for that event at the Pacific Design Center run $25 a head. Hours for Gelato Festival the restaurant run Sunday through Thursday, noon to 11 p.m., with an extension to midnight on Friday and Saturday." - Farley Elliott

Soooo flavorful and creamy. If you don’t love gelato you will after trying this place. Very clean and the decor is super cute. They also have classes here that you can take and lots of information on the history of gelato. Definitely a must see.

Some great flavors but they have NO chocolate … only in the pints! Buyer beware not a traditional ice cream/gelato experience. Limited flavors and poor customer service. No wonder the place was empty!

Best tasting gelato in all of LA!!! I love the vibe and the atmosphere of this place. The employees are so cordial and friendly. Big shout out to Kylie who helped me the other day with my order. She was super nice and helpful and even gave some suggestions for toppings that I loved. I’ll definitely be back to try more flavors soon.

Been coming to this place since they opened. Their gelato is amazing! They consistently rotate flavors, healthy yogurt, dairy, and non-dairy options. My favorite is their chocolate oatmilk gelato. Another huge plus is their high quality Vergnano coffee. And a chef and an entire kitchen on site baking the freshest pastries on the spot. The place has a nice ambiance. The staff is getting a separate 5* review. I never sat here once without Andre, the manager or another staff member, asking if I would like a cup of water, if my coffee is okay, or how is the gelato. Literally the best customer service I have ever experienced. Last time I was there the owner even came up to introduced himself and wanted my thoughts on his delicious gelato. Definitely worth a visit.

This is definitely real, authentic gelato. Good for those who appreciate traditional flavors and who don't want too much sweetness. I had their strawberry popsicle and it didn't have much sugar, which is good for some folks. Their flavor selection is a little limited.

This is by far the best Gelato you can get in Los Angeles without a doubt. Their selection is very creative, I had Bluberry & Basil and my Italian tasting could not have been more satisfied with it. Very impressive.

I highly recommend this adorable place. I just happened to visit Beverly Hills and happened to be walking by when I saw it. I came in and the girl behind the counter let me taste practically all the vegan flavors and dairy based gelato. All were so delicious considering they were vegan, yet I still chose the dairy one b/c I just LOVED their pistachio and hazelnut flavors. I got both of them in one dish. And I love the fact that they have a school right there on how to make gelato. That is so unique. I wish I had more time while in the area so that I could attend the class. Next time. I thought the art on the wall, full of large sized, different colored spoons, with a clever, yet true statement, was so clever and unique and just adorable. Highly recommend!
