"A new gelato shop is getting ready to open on the Upper West Side at 2486 Broadway, between 92nd and 93rd streets. Gelotti will serve ice cream, Italian ices, and yogurt, with wonky flavors like 'Mountain Dew and cantaloupe.'" - Carla Vianna

I was working nearby for the week after about a month of IG plaguing my feed with Gelotti’s beautiful spectrum of ice cream treats. How exciting to finish off a hot AF Tuesday with Gelotti? My aunt met me from across town and we entered the neon pink haven of sweetness. The two workers were awesome - they answered our ridiculous questions, encouraged us to try all the flavors, and made fun small talk. They have lactose free and gluten free options (my aunt is GF and had a hard time deciding what to get for once! Woo!). After an exceedingly long period of deliberation, my aunt and I both got 2 scoops in a small cup - the flavor we each planned to get, and a new flavor we loved that we’d just tried. I got the pediatric friendly blue Cookie Monster & cannoli gelato; she got mint chocolate chip & cannoli gelato. Ironically, both of us just had to get the second cannoli scoop after trying it in the shop - it’s made with ricotta, according to staff. Yum! In terms of experience and flavor, easy 5/5 stars. Would go back again for that Cookie Monster and some other great flavor that I’ll discover day of. The shop is fun and colorful, with a giant, hilarious ice cream cone garbage can out front that serves as a magnet for kids (well... and us).

You gotta try the banana pudding flavor!! The lady that works there recommended it to me as one of their popular ones. I will definitely go back. Just wish their scoops were larger! 😩😩😩 Another last thing, the image is inaccurate. The business is on Broadway Ave near the Sweet Green joint.

Formerly Rita's, this place is the real deal. I went twice this week. Great service, outstanding gelato and and ice cream. Sal's daughter is a gem giving tastings and she was super nice.
