Gelson's Sherman Oaks

An excellent and clean store with friendly staff in every department. The food is almost always fresh, and the atmosphere is welcoming. No matter when you come, you’re always greeted with a smile and kindness. We often come here for lunch and coffee, and it always feels like a pleasant break in the day. I highly recommend this store — it’s become our regular spot!

I had a $5 off $20 emailed reward for my birthday. The barcode didn't populate in the email, and the manager denied me from using it. Why send an email reward that cant be used? Very poor customer service.

I live next door to Gelsons, so it’s very convenient to run in for a few things. It's a little pricey, but they carry many brand names and a good selection of quality items. Great bakery, deli counter, soup & salad bar with hot food dishes available. Got a complete Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, without going to a restaurant or cooking all day over a hot stove. Which was great, since I was on deadline with major script revisions and could keep on working while I enjoyed a nice holiday meal. Everyone who works there are helpful and really nice, so it’s a pleasure to shop there.

Gelson's is great! The sandwiches made with carved turkey (with the option for two sides) are the best! When I realized I left my wallet at home, the checker and the manager helped by keeping my order in a back refrigerator while I went home to get my wallet and returned. Excellent customer service!!

I had a terrible experience with Estela, who was consistently rude and dismissive. Not only did I notice it, but my wife and coworkers have had similar encounters. When I asked her a question and provided my number, she raised her eyebrows and responded sarcastically. Treating customers this way is unacceptable. ESTELLA’S behavior is reflecting poorly on Gelson. Her treatment of customers is unacceptable and damaging the company's image. Will speak to who ever supervise her!

The strawberry short cake was lacking. It had more cream than cake and of course as with all things gelson, it was very expensive. I went to Ralph's and got a chocolate cake for 60% less. Wish I went there first so I saved myself $70

Ay listen up, I am just willing to speak up for myself since every single time we visit the store there is a security guard that has too many assumptions thinking that me and my friend are stealing something but we just always come in to look around, friendly by not disturbing anybody and every single time she targets us. There has to be something wrong with that lady, doing your job is one thing but chasing minors that did nothing is another thing. If there are teens like me tryna visit this store, don’t go unless that woman ever gets fired. Gelsons please consider this. Don’t hire those people, she can’t leave us alone and if there is any suspicion just check the cameras, we did nothing wrong, this just seems very wrong from her side.

Gelsons has long had a bench in the store for people to sit, it was really helpful for people with disabilities, it was replaced with a small table and chairs so high they would be near impossible for someone with disabilities. When I brought this up to the manager he said he had no idea what happened to the bench
