Bought a groupon, figuring how hard can laser hair removal be. I had my first appointment and it was ok, but it took several weeks before they would answer the phone or return messages to even get started. They booked me out like 6 weeks after I finally got a hold of them. The place is a little dodgey. A run down office that's never open. (I tried to stop by several times since no one was returning my phone calls.) Ideally you're supposed to get this done once every 6 weeks or so. Every time I call to try to make an appointment (because they keep cancelling the ones already made) it has take at least three weeks for someone to get back to me and that's only after making me feel like a stalker.
I've only been able to get two treatments so far and I've the groupon since March. Just got off the phone with them again....they're cancelling my appointment.
Both times I have been able to go in for treatment it's been horribly unprofessional. Opening the procedure room door while my shirt is off (having armpits done), not hardly waiting until my shirt is off before zapping me.
I can't say if the treatments are working or not yet because I've only been able to have it done two times.
Unrelated to how bad the business is, the laser itself doesn't hurt at all. I was hoping to have some improvement by summer but summer is half over and it looks like it'll be Christmas before I'm able to finish up and hopefully see some hair removal.
UPDATE: After writing this review I was given an after hours appointment. I thought perhaps this was to help compensate me for all the scheduling mishaps. I was very quickly proven wrong. The place was empty except me and one lady, the owner I think. She told me I was a liar and was very threatening. Telling me that every negative thing I write will be removed and she's already told google I'm a liar. I told her that everything in the review was accurate and asked what she felt was a lie. She just repeated over and over that I was a liar. At which point, feeling very attacked, I said, "I stand by everything I said. It was all accurate and I think it's a little unprofessional to threaten and retaliate against your customers for writing a review you don't like." To which, her response was, "YOU'RE UNPROFESSIONAL!"
What? That doesn't even make sense.
"Ma'am, I'm the customer, it's not my job to be professional, and everything I said in my review was accurate."
At which point she refused to reschedule me just staring me down--despite having already paid for a full laser hair removal package through groupon (I bought 6 treatments, this was my third). When I finally decided to leave after being stared down with the only words she'd speak to me was "liar. you're a liar" I decided to leave as this clearly wasn't going anywhere and she clearly wasn't going to honor the remaining treatments I bought. I started to leave only to have to call out after me by saying "we're just not a good fit" confirming that she had no intention of honoring what I've already paid for. Hopefully groupon will back up the purchase. They're usually pretty good at that. I still stand by my original review as this time she wiped the goggles with a dirty cloth and tossed them at me. The room still had crinkled paper on the table from the last client and clearly had not been cleaned or wiped down in between users (a problem in hot Utah where everyone comes in sweaty). However, the hand-written notes taped to the windows were gone. It might be a "new" facility as she claims but it's still not up to my standards. And clearly more unprofessional than I had ever imagined. And this a review, with my opinion, which should be allowed to be posted and people can decide for themselves.
