Overall, Gen is an exceptional spot for anyone who appreciates quality Japanese cuisine, a place where every detail from the food to the service is done with care. A great spot for casual Japanese dining. The grilled items here are especially good and priced very reasonably. The unagi is a standout—crispy, flavorful, and highly recommended. I also loved the beef tongue—tender and delicious, with the chopped green onions underneath adding the perfect touch. One surprising highlight was the pickled vegetables—not your typical side dish, but incredibly tasty and refreshing. Definitely worth a visit.

The food is really delicious. There are many food options to be chosen. The meat is well-seasoned which will satisfy your taste buds. The staff are really professional and friendly, with warm greetings once you step in and about to leave. I will definitely come back again when visiting Bangkok in future. Japan is known for its amazing food quality and this restaurant belongs in the same category as any of its homeland counterparts. Our party of 6 had a range of sushi and charcoal grill food and it was all spectacular and left us wanting more. Everyone was really impressed including a couple who were new to Japanese cuisine. Their prices are perhaps slightly above average when compared to other restaurants in Bangkok, but astoundingly well priced considering the quality of the food. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough!

Fantastic place with fantastic food. The steak was amazing. Service was super attentive and fast. We really enjoyed the visit
