Wow Great staff Quality meat, fish , chicken and veggies. Thanks to Rithy who really was best attentive food handler I’ve been served with. Everyone that came in contact with our table was wonderful. The food just kept coming and we barely squeezed it on the table. We all thoroughly enjoy their excellence. I think I had three salads cause it was all you could eat from the kimchi to the delicious more sauce meat cuts, and sliced squid I believe. The round centered cooking platform was great to use and came with plenty of tongs and scissors should you need to cut the meat in smaller pieces. Can’t wait to go back really had a wonderful time the five of us.

Honestly Z is the best server I’ve ever had. I thought we were going to a different KBBQ spot but listen, I feel like everything happens for a reason. The wait was short, but her customer service made it hard to leave. She checked up on us often, and made us laugh. I wish we could give her more than 5 stars, because Gen is now our new place for KBBQ!

Me and my family would always come here and have a Wonderful evening as well as coming for several occasions. But this time we came for my boyfriend‘s birthday and it was a mess. I was so embarrassed that I even talked highly about this place. The server, Haley, I believe her name was great. She was Very sweet. The issue started with our food every time we would order something it would take extremely long to come out. We asked the server about it and she told us there was new staff in the back who was a bit slower and she apologized multiple times. She kept coming back and checking on us and we just kept telling her we didn’t receive this. We didn’t receive that yet, she was in disbelief that we were still waiting for the same exact items. We were sitting at the table for a while with no food. By the time we would get food we would cook it eat it and still be sitting there waiting for things we ordered way before. I brought a cake for a birthday celebration and they normally do birthdays Big with the screaming singing, happy birthday, the LED lights, but this time it was one manager, walking out with the cake and sat it on the table no singing no clapping no nothing just walked out with the cake in the box still and sat on the table. I was in disbelief, considering on how they normally do things, we have piles of dishes sitting in front of us for at least 10 minutes with nobody coming around to grab them . As well as the grill, we had to ask for someone to come change out the grill that was clearly burnt and unable to be cooked on the employees came around and collected dishes skipped us plenty of times when we left the dishes at the end of the table. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me “ I’m sorry for your experience. I hope next time you come we are better.” I was taking by response. After a few more conversations, she told us that she was able to takeoff one drink for us $3.98. She said here you go I hope this helps. Are you satisfied with this? I said if this is all we can do then I guess I have to be satisfied with it. She said I can ask my General manager, if there’s any more she can do. She came back to us moments later and said the general manager denied the request so I took it upon myself to ask to speak to the general manager, and after speaking to her, she decided to give us half off of one person dining. 28.99 - 1/2 off I was fine with it and excepted it. She then told us she will go speak to the waiter about the experience. I let her know the waiter wasn’t the issue. The waiter came back to us and apologized multiple times and offered us ice cream macaroons. Two of the guest accepted the macaroons why she was bringing them over I decided to stop and ask her were you paying for this out-of-pocket? Is it coming out of your checks or is it on the restaurant? She told me she’s paying for it with her own money I told her absolutely not that is not what I wanted at all so of course we declined the ice cream macaroons and we was very thankful to her, I was disgusted that the restaurant was employee pay for ice cream for the entire table!!!

Fathers day 2024 everything is going well until the big crowd starts to show up. Understaffed is the right word. One guy at the bar, 2 waiters on the right hand side of the restaurant who tried to get to everyone in an orderly manner. Just try to avoid the peak hours you’ll be fine 😉 yet, good food coming out! Still had an amazing time!

I cannot tell you how many times my family and I have been to this restaurant since moving to Las Vegas in 2014. I've come to this restaurant with family outside of my immediate household; with friends, and with co-workers/colleagues. Needless to say, I enjoy coming here from time to time, but have failed to leave a rating and/or review from any of my previous visits. The unfortunate thing for us is that we live in the far Northwest part of the city, so the commute to this restaurant can be challenging at times...not difficult by any means, just don't feel like driving the distance unless we just happen to be in the area for other things. My wife and I stopped here on 28 Apr 2024 for lunch, which is actually the first for me; I normally experience dinner at this restaurant. We arrived around 11:30 am, so the restaurant wasn't that busy yet...which I loved because we were both starving. When we sat down and looked at the menu, I was shocked to see how much it had changed because it's been over a year since we last ate here. This restaurant seems to be more like a Korean/Mexican fusion restaurant...which is interesting, yet satisfying. Although the concept is not difficult to understand, I still felt the employees did a remarkable job in explaining the process and the pricing. For this visit, we ordered the Premium Marbling Center Cut Marinated Short Rib, Premium Marinated Long Bone Short Rib Steak, Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Spicy Samgyubsal (Marinated Spicy Pork Belly), Kimchi Fried Rice, and Fried Mandu. If I could eat forever and not gain any weight or die early from heart issues, I would sit there and munch on the Premium Marbling Center Cut Marinated Short Rib with Rice, Mandu, and Kimchi. Although the other items on our table were equally as magnificent, I felt that Marbling Center Cut was the best. I was disappointed that I didn't get to order a few things because we were just too full and it's difficult to order a lot with just the two of us. Aside from the above items, I have tried the following during previous visits: Beef Bulgogi, Gen Premium Steak, Gen Signature Yangyum Galbi, Premium Chadol (Thinly Sliced Premium Angus Brisket), Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Spicy Chicken, Korean Fried Chicken, and Japchae. I've never had any awful meats from this restaurant as of yet, and I don't anticipate I ever will. One downfall to this restaurant is that I wish they would serve Kimchi Jjigae and Kimchi Pancake. I feel those items are a must to have on the table while eating good Korean BBQ. I've had so many different servers in the past and it's unfortunate that I don't recall their names to give a special shout-out in this review; however, I'll at least give kudos to our main server from today's visit, Aniaya. She did such an outstanding job with our table - she was fast, efficient, friendly, and extremely attentive in every way...which is highly appreciated because I've been to other Korean BBQs where the service was slow and I had hangry spells (never a good mix). Overall, I enjoy this restaurant. Between the food quality and exceptional service, you definitely walk out of this restaurant feeling satisfied and happy. The prices are always reasonable/affordable, especially when you consider the quality cuts of meat they serve. If you're a local or visiting Las Vegas/Henderson, you definitely need to try this restaurant...I highly recommend it!

It was an amazing and unique dining experience. Lots of fun at Gen Korean BBQ restaurant and they played the best music ever. It was so entertaining, we loved it. We have been to other Korean BBQ places, but this one was very nice and upscale-looking. The staff was very attentive and very welcoming. Our food came out really fast, excellent service from the staff to the managers. Outstanding!!!! The restaurant is very clean and modern looking design, very upbeat and cool vibe, amazing atmosphere. It’s a great dining concept. We were immediately seated, there was no wait time, which was great. But for dinner time they get very busy, so I suggest making a reservation. Food came fast, the waiter takes your order on their iPad and then they start bringing the meats which you grill on the table with built in grills. The price is very affordable for the all-you-can-eat restaurant. The food was pretty good. The meats are really delicious for all you can eat and the flavors of everything is great . The most of the meats were marinated which brings out the best flavors . We really liked that. They are very efficient with grill changes which we appreciate. Quality of meat is very good, they have great choices of beef meat and we recommend trying: Garlic Chicken, Beef Belly, and Gen Beef Bulgogi . We did not try any seafood, because we are not big fans of seafood. They have great selection of side dishes too. Our favourite were: turnip wraps. The best part were Soju Capri Sun drinks with the flash ice cube in them- so cool 😎. A MUST TRY!!!! Great family, friends and date night spot. Overall we think it’s an experience of a lifetime. I would recommend it to anyone local or visiting Las Vegas , you will not be disappointed!!!

Couldn't even get seated to actually get to the food! Mother's day Sunday, I get it it's going to be busy, wrong! There was tables galore, people waiting matched it. Clearly needs to hire more people. There was 6 families waiting behind me. The gentleman/greeter/bartender while he tried his very best sometimes you just need to hire the help. Don't go unless upon arrival you ask for number of staff. Otherwise like the tables seated, you arrive..wait..you get seated..wait some more..order..wait even longer!!!!

Wow! We have been going here for several years. The food is always great but the service is usually mediocre at best. Until our visit today. Our server Alex was absolutely phenomenal and they have a new GM who was amazing. They have definitely turned service around. We never waited for drinks, refills, food, nothing. The new GM told me he is very focused on customer service and it showed. Usually I hesitate on going because of the service we received in the past. That hesitation is gone. I can’t say enough the amazing turn around that has happened. We will definitely be going a lot more often!

Yelp
The food was amazing. We really Loved the new premium menu they have. Definitely worth the price. Alex was our server and he was so great. He was very attentive, speedy, kind AND funny!!! 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
Hear me out, when Gen first popped up years ago at the Galleria mall it was awesome! This was our first experience with a Korean BBQ place. Since then we had frequented other establishments in the Las Vegas valley and found that each place had their unique take on this type of dining and menu options. Up until today we had been fans of Gen. I had heard that there was a changing of ownership a while ago- I'm assuming this was the change? Problems: Under staffed, wrong orders, not timely service, refills on drinks were nonexistent, and the KFC was cold. The funny thing was, at one point there was 7 staff members in the bar area- yet still, no service to the patrons. This is not a knock against individuals or specific staff members but perhaps just a suggestion that there could and should be improvements to keep this place floating and in good graces of their local patrons.

Yelp
I've seen Gen Korean BBQ House all over the Las Vegas valley, from Summerlin to Henderson, and have been curious about it for quite some time. This was my first time eating at this restaurant and I was excited to see if it lived up to its reputation. I came here on a Sunday afternoon, we had a party of 6, and overall, the experience was pleasant. I would have to say the food was pretty good, with some standout dishes that impressed me. Nevertheless, I believe that in a city like Las Vegas, where dining options are endless, the flavor of the food should be exceptional, and the service should match that quality. Unfortunately, our experience fell short in the service department. Our dining experience was extremely disappointing due to the lack of attention to basic details. The server rarely checked in on us, forcing us to repeatedly request water refills, which took an inordinate amount of time to arrive. Furthermore, it took a considerable amount of time to change out our grill, and to make matters worse, dirty plates were left at our table for an extended period. These issues were not isolated, and the list of problems we encountered goes on and on. One star for location. Friendly tip: either go shopping after eating or put your shopping bags in the car before eating so what you bought doesn't smell like food.

Yelp
This was not our first time experiencing Korean BBQ. Overall the service was below average and the food was average. Our waiter seemed more annoyed to be there than anything else. Did not come back to check on us for more food orders and drinks orders. We had to flag someone else down to order more food. I would say save your money and try something else at the strip.

Yelp
Nice place, it was our first time trying Korean BBQ it was great, the place is big, clean, fast seating, good pricing, and a lot to choose from, the customer service was great and she keep coming back to check often, the food and drinks were good and the experience too we will be coming back!

Yelp
Girl's night! Had an amazing time with friends at a new to us place. You have to go for the premium option with ribeye, short ribs, carne asada and el pastor! Who would have thought tacos would be a winner at KBBQ? The wait staff was exceptionally helpful and full of wonderful tips.... proteins flew out of the kitchen once you ordered, and the options were plentiful. I was very happy with everything and will be bringing my husband for sate night ASAP!

Yelp
Hate to say this but the quality of the food went down. This was our go to spot for some Korean BBQ. I dont know if it is different owners or different cooks. All I can say is, it wasnt the same.

Yelp
RESERVATIONS Made a few days in advance for a Monday 6:30pm dinner in November. We ended up running late due to traffic and pushed the reservation back a coupe times until 7:30pm and the staff were nice about that. THE COST $189.82 including tax/tips for dinner for 4 adults, 2 toddlers (who were free), plus 3 drinks and 1 dessert. I read online they charge for kids 5-10, but they didn't charge us for our 5 year old. THE SERVICE Fine, and fast. They order on an iPad at your table, so even as your ordering, your meat orders start coming out! THE DRINKS * Sojujito Pomegranate $9.95 - 3 stars Very sweet, I was looking forward to the tart pomegranate taste but didn't get too much of that. THE FOOD Don't get: Japchae (way too plain), the ice cream macaron (macaron is hard as a rock) Must haves: Anything bulgogi, Gen Premium Steak, Pork belly (any type) Just ok: KFC (lots of crunch, not a lot of meat), anything spicy (things are very spicy here, including the Dwenjang Soup and Korean Style Pork Riblet), Fish katsu.

Yelp
I didn't really care for gen before but I figure hey everyone deserves a second chance right so what the heck gave it another try . I feel like it says a lot when baskin Robbin's has more customer dining in than you do ... we went for lunch the 20.99 per person deal and was such a disappointment . Ok it's a bit annoying when you're the only one of two customers and the service still sucked. The server was nice and everything but man we had to even ask for the dipping sauces ... and when it did arrive it had so little I use more lotion on my face than the amount of sesame oil , sweet soy and salt given in volume . Your business is already slow , what are you tying to save in dipping sauce ? The menu was quite limited which was fine if you do things well . It wasn't terrible but it wasn't worth the $20 , I should have went to any of hwaro s sister restaurant and paid like $6 more for a much better dining experience and meal . It was kind of annoying that something cheap like fried rice was not in the aYCE menu , don't you want your customers to fill up on rice instead of meat?? Made no sense .and dessert not included . Who does that now days for kbbq might have been fine 6 years ago but now days almost all kbbq give some sort of free dessert with AYCE The pros : restaurant itself was nicely decorated . It was spacious . Cons: everything else.

John C.

Yelp
The food was really good lots of meat for the selection. The pork belly was not very good. It seemed old. The atmosphere was really good and the cocktails were great. We went with a group with Hilton Grand Vacations so I can't give a review on price. I would like to go back there on my on. The service was great.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with Korean bbq. The food was great. Except for the fish katsu. Wouldn't recommend that dish. Our service was great. We barely waited for our food to arrive. I swear the turn around time from the time we ordered our food to the time we started eating was less than 5 min. Great service when you're hungry lol. We went during lunch so it was very quiet. Which I like. Sometime dinner can be to loud and crazy. So a nice quiet lunch is always appreciated. Whatever you do you HAVE to have an ice cream macaron! Omg absolutely to die for!

Yelp
We haven't been here in a while and decided it was time. We were created right away and advised it would be just a few minutes while they got a table ready. Sat quickly after that. It seemed a little long until our server came but maybe cause we were hungry. She was very nice and let us know the menu can be found in the QR code. They did have the "premium " menu available to actually have in hand. I dislike when I have to look up menus on my phone. Might just be me but I prefer to read a menu I can hold. They don't serve sides unless you ask like the cucumber and kimchi potato salad. Which usually are already on the table. We ordered and food brought out. We didn't opt for the premium as it's $20 person extra. So that is basically $100 plus tip for 2 people and we were not trying to spend that last night. . Although the choices look yummy. After we cooked our first round of meats we ordered more. Our grill was very burned and smoky and she didn't offer to change it out. We waited for a long time until she came back and asked her to please change it. Waited quite awhile again and a guy came and changed it. I was coughing from the smoke of it. We were in a corner and kinda felt like we were forgotten. It's weird cause the server was super nice just not as attentive as I guess I would have liked. She did give us suggestions and recommended the rice paper over radish paper which the mister liked. They only have macaroons for desert. They were just ok. And to top off they didn't give us the credit card back. We had to go ask for it only to be told are we sure we don't have it. Luckily they found it and the guy did say "sorry". It was juts a weird vibe and not sure if we will be back. Lots of choices out there.

Yelp
The food is good. Lots of options, they now have premium option which include Al pastor and tortilla i guess a Mexican Korean type deal. The services here is a hit and miss sometimes and the music here is really loud can barely hear the waiter or your dining party partner. Pretty pricy

Yelp
9/03/23 6pm Party of 4 After returning from NYC, my fiancé and I brought my daughters here for dinner. Quickly seated in a large booth, Alexandria came over to take our orders. Cajun Shrimp, Steak, fried chicken : 10/10. The shrimp was our favorite. Calamari (not pictured): 0/10 it was no good at all. Don't recommend. Restaurant is nice, music was good and Alexandria was very attentive. You also get as much as you want of the kimchi, cucumbers and white rice. Next to Galleria Mall, check them out.

Yelp
Gen was awesome! Would highly recommend this place. Never needed to wait too long. Great food and a good environment. Super clean.

Yelp
It's a little different here, they don't give green salads, and straight into the cooking of meats.

Yelp
I debated on this review. First, the price is decent. About $29/pp AYCE. They have over 30 items on the menu including gyoza, pork belly, brisket, shrimp, octopus, squid, bulgogi, salad, etc. The food itself was good. Seemed fresh and came quick. Natasha, our server, was excellent. Very attentive to us and our grill. My issue comes with the cleanliness of the restaurant. The bathrooms were a mess. No soap. They laid a soap dispenser that is normally on the wall, onto the counter. So you had to pick up the entire dispenser to try and get soap. The floors in the whole restaurant were dirty. The walls had big chunks out of them.. like they had artwork up and ripped them off the walls. And, the AC was not working well (same goes for the attached mall). The ambiance is really what brought this restaurant down. It's a decent price and has a lot of food items. And the staff was very good that waited on us. But, I couldn't look past these details unfortunately. And, there are a LOT of Korean bbq places here now! I'd probably try out another place next time.

Yelp
This place is cozy and vibrant. The staff is very attentive on customer even though they are all busy. Came in on the weekend. Fine selection though I was craving fish cakes and it's not on the menu anymore kind of disappointed but I did enjoy the food.

Yelp
I haven't gone to the Ala Moana Korean BBQ since 2017 but I just reviewed I didnt like it as much as Pearl City but maybe I'm just not a city girl and because to me the Pearl City kids are so so much nicer and Pearl City easy parking and not so much walking window shooing and honestly better service than Ala Moana that's why I took off 1 star because its a hassle to go into town Ala Moana but I do love their food so it's worth it and people in town have to eat too! U have to have ur entire party before u are seated and everyone in the party has to order from same menu Mind bottling that's why I chose premium but I probably would have been just find w basic and it's busy expect to wait try going off hours like weeknights so u can have the best possible first experience HIGHLY Recommend honey soy mandoo and mouth watering cocktails Gosh I love Hawaii! Thank u so much for providing quality local restaurants family friendly ITS A MUST esp if ur not from our beautiful islands it's an experience u can not get in the mainland no such thing So Go be patient polite u will be fed and ur belly can wait be a courteous guest these are our local people and Thank God they work and work HARD! much aloha prayers and FOOD ONO BOMB BEST On ISLAND

Yelp
I hope all Gen's close down. Service is bad And they will rip you off. Doesn't matter if you only order ice cream or just drinks, you will be charged an all you can eat fee when you are zero food. After a poor experience at the Strip location we decided to give the henderson Gen a try and I brought a 4 of my friends with me. Place wasn't busy and plenty of tables available. When we sat down, I told the server that the three kids will not be eating. Instead, we bought them the ice cream from their restaurant. Server said it's fine. (That was a lie, because they charged a $14.99 all you can eat for them. More on that later.) They tell us to order 4 meats at a time which is fine. What they brought was two strips of pork belly to split among 7 people. Incredibly small portions that should only feed 2 per grill. They didn't change the grill one time. By the time they asked, we were already done eating. Ambiance wants to be a night club. Selections lacks several premium meats you would expect for 28.99 And if it already wasn't the worst value for Korean bbq in the city, they charged 14.99 to kids that only ate ice cream that we paid them for at 2.99 What they said was, they took up a seat that could have gone to another patron. There was no wait list and the kids are already paying customers with the ice cream. They charged us $45 for kids that didn't eat anything. When do you charge someone to not eat anything? At Gen apparently. What is that? A cover charge? Convenience fee? The manager said you aren't paying for food, you are paying for time. The kids just ate ice cream that we paid extra for. The server tried to explain to the manager that she said it was okay and they didn't have to pay and he wasn't having it. He chooses to use his powertrip as a manager to bully customers instead of providing customer service. I implore anyone considering eating here to reconsider because it has not been a good experience at either Gen's I have been to. Avoid at all costs. They rip you off any way they can.

Yelp
Visiting Santa Claus can work up an appetite. What better place to go than an all you can eat place? The restaurant was clean, bright & had plenty of seating. With five of us in our party, we didn't have to wait at all, but were taken straight to a booth. Our waitress Natasha was wonderful. But, she wasn't alone. The staff here is great! You don't wait for any of your food items. Order your favorite & BANG! Someone brings your dish out to your table. Natasha checked on us often throughout the meal. Then you place the meat on the burner on the table & watch as your meat sizzles & steams, turning from raw meat into a delicious meal. We loved the Beef Bulgogi & asked for it several times, as well as the Gyoza dumplings. The Mrs enjoyed the Crispy Cajun Chicken & everyone dug into the salad. It's nice to have an Asian restaurant so close to home.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Korean BBQ and I was impressed! This restaurant is all you can eat which added to the experience. We were sat down and provided a menu with nearly 30 items we can prepare at our table (and an additional 8-10 that they prepare). Various preparations of different meats including beef, chicken, pork and calamari. The first round came out quickly, the bbq was lit and we were started. While the steak was slowly grilling we had some spicy calamari and bacon quickly cooking to start the eating. Steamed rice and a variety of dippers and toppers were available for us to use. We were barely through round one when it was time to order the second grouping of meats. Much like any other all you can eat in town, we left stuffed. I liked the fact that we were enjoying the food and not the heavy sauces that most Asian food is served with. The restaurant is located on the south side of the shopping mall across Sunset Road from the Sunset Station Casino. There used to be outdoor dining available in the summer months. The inside was well done. Not too fancy that one felt underdressed but nice enough for business lunches, get togethers or a nice couples night out. This restaurant has me sold on Korean BBQ.

Yelp
I Love KBBQ but most of them are in super busy Chinatown --Gen is conveniently located in the Galleria mall shopping center which is much quieter and less busy. Lots of easy parking! It's a decently sized location, and the service has been great every time I've been there. We were seated within about 10 mins on a busy Saturday afternoon, and were checked on constantly (but not overwhelmingly!) All of the meats we chose were fresh and delicious. My absolute favs were the galbi and beef bulgogi.... Amazing! My least fave was the premium steak.. the flavor was good but the steak was very very tough. No, we did not overcook it --it was just a very tough cut, could barely chew it. We also had garlic chicken, Cajun shrimp, spicy octopus, beef belly, brisket, Hawaiian steak, japchae.... All delicious! Love Gen, this is def my go to KBBQ.

Yelp
Not sure what's up with all the poor reviews lately. Went on 12/29/24 at noon. Service, food and atmosphere were excellent. They had radish wraps. Great price, only $29.99 which is cheaper than what we are used to. We only like the brisket but the meat was tender and flavorful. They changed our plate 4x. We will be back.

Yelp
I think perhaps in the Korean BBQ world I have been a little spoiled by a couple place I have visited leaving my expectations sky high. This is the 2nd GEN location i have been to, this one is right next to Galleria Mall. To be fair but brief on the parts i thought need improvement, everything from the service to the standard of meat offerings and portions left much more to be desired. I felt the portions were a little too small and there was no notable savor to any of the main things ordered. The other side of the experience that also can be considered is that this is one of the BEST lunch specials in town at $19.99 with almost everything available on the menu for lunch. They had a unique seasoning called "green tea salt" that no one else has. Though the portions are small, the food wasn't BAD or not worth trying like people may interpret my previous paragraph to mean. I simply want to convey the message that I have had more flavorful food. I liked their Sahara ave location and this brand is worth checking out, just may not be at the top of my list.....right now.

Yelp
Party of 6. Food and service were great. The server and bus boy were very attentive super sweet people. I hadn't eaten here in a while since the menu had changed but it's still pretty good. Ambience was chill, very much gave club vibes since the music was a little too loud. Other than that I would come back whenever I get a chance to go to the galleria mall again.

Yelp
I would give this review a 0 but the food was pretty OK. Went to the restaurant around 6 o'clock 615pm on 6/24/24. Upon arrival immediately requested waters then requested silverware which we had to literally request 4 different times, once with our waiter Maximus and then another waitress. Maximus never brought our silverware after waiting 20 to 30 minutes, we finally received our silverware. I asked if I could get a knife, Maximus stated I did not need a steak knife. One was not requested, but a regular knife was, which I did not receive and was told to use a scissor. It was extremely hot in the restaurant, because we were grilling but also there was one fan and it was sweltering hot in there. Most of the patrons were using the long menus to fan themselves to try to keep cool. It was like 112 outside, but it probably was 100 in the facility as well. No one apologized for why there was no air-conditioning, and only fans working. Our waiter Maximus was running around not very involved with coming to see if we wanted anything maybe because it was so sweltering hot inside the facility. The food was just OK, when it came time to pay, my niece went to the front register handed her credit card to the girl at the front to pay our bill. The girl at the register after charging her card then tried to hand her credit card to someone else who then tried to hand it to four different male patrons, when my niece grabbed her credit card from the girl. I've been here on three occasions without any issues but today made me decide that I will never return, I am a local and since Vegas has lots and lots of Korean restaurants, I won't have to worry about missing this particular one again. The service which was horrible, including the sweltering heat inside of the restaurant made me write this review.

Yelp
Bad customer service : I had a reservation for a party of 11 for dinner, i get there 30 min prior to the reservation, no one greeted me when i walked in. no one talked to me til AFTER 20 min of being there. Family shows up , yet again, they weren't greeted. Ok we get our table 15 min after our reservation time.. we sit, start placing our order. Food comes... ok cool, we asked for silverware took them a while "because they were being washed" , excuse me ? Shouldn't all restaurants have plenty of these? Ok whatever . We start eating and now we have dirty plates off our table, had to ASK someone to pick up our dirty plates not once but THREE times before they picked it up and that was the only time they cleaned off our table.. we already had no room on those small tables. If we were to ask for anything one of the girls had a whole attitude, wouldn't say a word to us. Asked to get our grilled changed , yet again more attitude and took us 2 times to ask before it was changed . Oh then we asked for a to-go cup, we never got it !!! Smh The fact the tip was included in our bill, they didn't deserve it , never again will i go back to Gen bbq in Henderson!!! I wouldn't event rate this place a star..

Yelp
GEN has gone down! Menu has changed along with service. Better off going elsewhere. I believe they changed ownership. bad decision.

Yelp
Just moved here from CA and our GEN was good but the service here is 100% better! We loved our server Pookie! She was AMAZING. We went tonight for new years eve and couldn't of picked a better place to spend it. Food was 10/10 will def being going back now that we live here.

Yelp
I had my grandson, Michael Ronquillo, belated birthday celebration yesterday March 29, 2025. I'm so happy that I chose this place to have it there. The food, service and ambiance were all great. I like all the delicious food that were served and great service. Friendly service. They kept checking on us for anything we needed. They're all nice. I'll go back there for another occasion. Two thumbs up!

Fae U.

Yelp
They kept playing the worst EDM christmas music at 2 pm in the afternoon. The food is pretty good, comparable to the other kbbq places in terms of selection and flavor of everything. It's super cute and all in the actual restaurant, but they keep playing the worst mixes of christmas songs i've ever heard. really not fun and lowkey ruined the vibe.

Yelp
Service was ok. In spite of being here nearly at open we still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated things started to move a bit quicker. Our server was very helpful and checked in on us regularly. It wasn't very busy, and unfortunately arriving on Friday for lunch they don't offer their lunch pricing, but rather charge you the dinner price. I think in the future I'd only come back Monday to Thursday as it's a way better deal. Most menu items with the exception of rice, rice paper, etc need to be eaten or there may be an additional charge on your bill for waste. One technique that helped us not get too full but still have a good variety without waste was the option they have for half plates of the protein. The menu is digital now, and they encourage you to scan the QR code into your phone for easy viewing. The gyoza were standard, I'm not sure I'd bother with them next time. I really liked the Jap Chae (I was forewarned that the spicy one was super spicy). The Garlic Calamari was rather lackluster and I found that the heating element wasn't able to give it any type of sear or crispness. I probably would skip this one next time. The KFC Korean Fried Chicken was amazing as well as the sauce! I really enjoyed this one with the rice sheets. The Smoked Garlic Pork Belly was good, but I enjoyed the Hawaiian Pork Belly more, which crisped up amazingly. The Hawaiian Chicken was also good, but I was partial to the Pork Belly version. We also had steamed rice and the GEN Salad on the side. I absolutely love their salad and the baby greens are so fresh. Would go back, but for the lunch hour special only. I'm not sure we ate enough to mitigate the dinner price.

Yelp
This time we enjoyed our visit a lot more. Glad we gave it another chance. Some items were a no go but mostly we enjoyed. Definitely get the watermelon macaroon dessert before going- my daughter and I got one to split but when we finished it we wished we had each gotten our own!

Yelp
We looooved eating here!! Definitely my best Korean bbq experience by far, Chris was our server and he was awesome!! Everything tasted amazing, the adult capri sun's were hilarious and delicious, and the service was great! Thank you!

Yelp
My first time here and not bad. So you gotta work for you meal haha! This may be about the only dining concept where the meat comes to your table RAW! But it's a great first date place as this would force one to relax and get over inhibitions for sure! The service was pretty good, overall entire staff was very helpful! My drink was a little weak but the bottled wine price was great! All you can eat is the way to go do you can try lots of different things then load up on your favorites! The Hawiian Steak was real good, the spicy Pork was my favorite and the spicy octopus too!

Yelp
Lunch was amazing and affordable. Their menu is comparable to other kbbq. They also have happy hour for the drinks.

Yelp
My last experience here was so bad because of service and we swore we wouldn't go back. But we decided to give it another try. This time we had the best server Nikko, who is also the bartender. He was the only server at the time we went but he kept checking on us as much as he could. We were very satisfied and we will be coming back more often. Good job and thank you, Nikko!

Yelp
We went to dine about a few night ago, everything was going good food-wise, and ambience until our service went down after we heard and seen the main manager was yelling very loudly at her staff in the front of the store. Once I heard it, it ruined the whole entire meal because we heard the whole thing...I feel so bad for the staff that have to work there. Get better management that doesn't yell.

Yelp
Me and my family would always come here and have a Wonderful evening as well as coming for several occasions. But this time we came for my boyfriend's birthday and it was a mess. She kept coming back and checking on us and we just kept telling her we didn't receive this. We didn't receive that yet, she was in disbelief that we were still waiting for the same exact items. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me " I'm sorry for your experience. I hope next time you come we are better." I was taking by response. After a few more conversations, she told us that she was able to takeoff one drink for us $3.98. She said here you go I hope this helps. Are you satisfied with this? I said if this is all we can do then I guess I have to be satisfied with it. She said I can ask my General manager, if there's any more she can do. I let her know the waiter wasn't the issue. The waiter came back to us and apologized multiple times and offered us ice cream macaroons. Two of the guest accepted the macaroons why she was bringing them over I decided to stop and ask her were you paying for this out-of-pocket? Is it coming out of your checks or is it on the restaurant? She told me she's paying for it with her own money I told her absolutely not that is not what I wanted at all so of course we declined the ice cream macaroons and we was very thankful to her, I was disgusted that the restaurant was employee pay for ice cream for the entire table!!!

Yelp
Zero stars if I could. I'll be nice and just say that David needs to find a different career path. Serving is not a good fit, when you mess up an order taken in an iPad, bring food hours later, wrong twice, don't even check on us, actively ignoring us because of your mistakes. Not cool. Management seems like just a bro in a suit. Didn't even offer to talk to us or apologize for anything. We are an easy family and usually amazing tippers. Left extremely unsatisfied. Food was ok since we cooked it ourselves. Will NEVER be back.

Yelp
Food was okay. No generous portions here. Premium steak was an absolute joke. The assorted vegetables were I slice of onion, 2 pieces of bell pepper and on thin slice of zucchini. Ridiculous. Not what I expect from a Korean BBQ. Very loud music with hardly anyone in the restaurant. So loud the server dis not hear our order correctly. $75 plus tip. Really not worth it

Yelp
Food was meh. Meat quality was ok. Bulgogi and and galbi weren't as sweet as expected but both were quite underwhelming. Just a few banchans that were bland. The rice paper and radish wrap were nice. Also, they give you a BIG bowl of rice. If we had known, would have shared as there was rice left over. Even though our server was friendly, the service was meh. We had to wait and look for our server on a couple of occasions to order food and request refill of side dishes. He definitely seemed overextended covering lot of tables. While the ambiance is nice with high ceilings and cool music, the smoke from grilling didn't vent that well and when there were more than a few tables going, you can see the haze of smoke inside the restaurant. I wasn't expecting an authentic Korean BBQ experience but still felt something essential was missing. Don't recommend and plan to try a different K bbq next time.

Yelp
Probably my least favorite KBBQ in Vegas. I know it's a chain, so I wasn't expecting much, but there were many reasons why this missed the mark for me. 1. The brisket and beef belly meat quality did not seem that great. As the meat was sitting, the fat was already rendering, and ended up not looking very appetizing. It didn't cook as well as other places too. 2. They didn't give brisket sauce automatically, you had to request it. I feel like this is the only place I've seen that. 3. The original pork belly had a very old fatty taste. The smoked garlic however was really good. 4. I usually order beef tongue, but after looking at another table, I did not feel like it would be good. 5. A lot of the "spicy" items just had the same gochujang sauce, a little differentiation would have been nice. 6. They were missing some great sides I am used to. Other Gen locations have rice paper which is my FAVORITE, and this one did not. Despite that, some great things about this restaurant is it has amazing sides. The fries are a must order, as well as the volcano chicken. The corn cheese was also really good. The banchan was generally good too. There are definitely way better options in Vegas. Check out Doh!, Master Kim's, Kogi, or Hwaro.
