"With locations across the U.S. and three outposts in the Houston area, Gen Korean BBQ House is a carnivore’s paradise, offering all-you-can-eat barbecue alongside dishes like Cajun shrimp, tofu soup, and build-your-own ramen. Nearly a dozen sauces let diners customize their experience. Kids are more than welcome, though: Children 4 and under eat free, and ages 5 to 10 dine at half price." - Brianna Griff

Stopped here almost by accident as this was a convenient meeting parking lot. This is an all you can eat Korean BBQ place. For a flat price, you can order anything off the menu. There is a smaller set of choices for lunch at half the price. There is still plenty to choose from though. Beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, and squid are all on the lunch choices. You can even get the hot appetizers. The issue is that the menu is digital and it’s tiny. Furthermore, you place the order with the wait staff. Even though there was only a small handful of diners, it was hard to find our waiter. That made it difficult to add more food when it came time to reorder. He did eventually come and he did have good suggestions. Just hard to find him. All in all an okay option. It’s probably better for dinner as it would probably be more lively.

I had a great time at Gen Korean BBQ! The food was really tasty, and there were so many options to choose from. Cooking at the table was fun, and the staff was super nice and helpful. It's a perfect place to go with friends or family. I’ll definitely go back!

Google
Clean restaurant. Service was mediocre. Bbq meats are quality. Other side dishes, like korean chicken tastes like store bought frozen nuggets with korean sauce. Calamari was very dry and over cooked. Overall .... 5 out of 10 stars

Google
Had a great time at this Korean BBQ place. The meat was super tasty, especially the pork belly and beef bulgogi. The sides kept coming, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and made sure we had what we needed. Definitely coming back for more!

Google
The food was okay. Nothing spectacular about the meats. There are a lot better kbbq AYCE in town. What turned us off the most was the stale welcome we got at the door...the host was chewing gum and the most unenthusiastic we encountered. She did not smile one bit and did not seem to like her job. Our server was a lot better.

Google
One of the best AYCE in Houston. The meat is of very good quality. We have a party of 18 for a dinner on a busy Saturday. The service is maintained very well. Our waiter worked hard to make all the needs met. Will certainly come back here again.

Google
It was an amazing experience, Ibrahim did an amazing job at explaining the menu to us, providing us with an amazing service, he made sure that for our first time here the experience was wonderful!! He changed out our grill very often so our food didn’t taste burnt. Ibrahim was very attentive of us, made sure our drinks were always full so we wouldn’t choke on our food!! And most importantly he made us laugh and have a genuinely good time!! Thank you Ibrahim for the amazing experience you have provided us with!!

Korean BBQ experience is pretty good here! There is a premium section on the menu for an extra $20. Staff was nice and would change out the pan when you asked. Food came out fast and tasted great! I wish they had dessert choices that were included.

Yelp
Had to give another KBBQ spot a try for a dear friends birthday and the consensus was GEN, which I was coming into with pretty high expectations after a previous okay experience with KBBQ. First let's talk about the vibe. Some might argue this doesn't really matter but I respectfully disagree. I think a well curated vibe can help enhance your experience and lemme say the vibe was definitely curated. It's giving this modern, low lighting feel that just matches the mood with chowing down on some meat. Even to the grill equipment. Secondly the menu/pricing. Look I'm a simple man, give me the pictures and one set price for the normal AYCE experience. And chat that's what we got. Okay they did have a premium menu but let's be honest, you're gonna go ham on the bulgogi mostly right? I'd definitely stick to the normal menu because there's PLENTY of meat options to choose from! I mean pork, beef, chicken. The holy trifecta with plenty of different marinades and sauces. Even for you seafood lovers they got that as well! You might be thinking, ok that's cool and all but how was the QUALITY. Here's my no bs opinion and you don't even have to watch an ad. It's definitely above average and the certain marinades like the honey soy and garlic were especially delicious. However I feel like some other meats like the carne asada and short ribs were not packing the punch I was expecting. There's definitely some room for improvement maybe with a few meat cut quality and marinade/spice mixes but definite gems. Now the service, we were very lucky to be served by some very nice and friendly guys. Now at first when we got our rice it was a bit cold and ofc you know when it comes to the rice it's gotta be WARM, I NEED THAT STEAM BABY. So we asked for it to be exchanged, and just the interaction itself was no fuss smiles all around and even an apology. Love to see it. One of the gentlemen, Boyce, took very good care of us the entire night checking back quickly for any new orders we wanted, giving his recommendations on items, and clearing away plates. But like what summed it up for me, was he was LITERALLY so on top of exchanging out our grill plate after every 1-2 meats that it really gave us the best grilling experience every time. #bless All in all, great KBBQ food at an appropriate price, great staff, great vibes, and great company. So look, give the diet a break and go inhale 2000 calories worth of delicious meat into ya belly. Right neow.

Yelp
I've been to other Gen locations plenty of times, but this was my first time at the Westheimer location. The food was about the same, pretty good quality, but they dropped the ball on service. Our waiter was nice, but I'm not sure what was going on in the back of the house. It took 20 minutes just to get a fork because apparently they were out of clean silverware. Orders were coming out painfully slow. They were out of noodles and calamari. Mind you, we were here at 4pm, still early in the day and off-peak hours as well. We kept having to ask to check on 2 of the meats we ordered in the first round, and one of them still hadn't come out by the time we asked for the check. It's a shame, because the food itself was good. Higher quality meats than other kbbq places I've been to and the honey soy beef belly was fantastic.

Yelp
First time visiting Gen in the H and the experience was good - although they were out of shrimp that day (we still had a good experience, yes love the shrimp with kbbq) Meat selections were good and service was consistent and fast, what threw me off was the rice, not quite sure what type of rice it was but it was not jasmine rice which I am usually used to when hitting up kbbq spot. Ambiance was clean and wasn't smoky because we went during lunch and there were only a few people at the restaurant. Overall a solid experience and a good pick when looking for kbbq

Yelp
1. Service - I must say that this place has top notch service. I am so impressed. Management here has trained the staff well. I have never experienced such outstanding service at a Korean BBQ restaurant. The minute you look around for service, someone is already there to help you. I have to say that this is one reason why this place out shine the other Korean restaurants in town. 2. Price - depending on lunch or dinner, this place is All-you-can-Eat. A bit pricey, but worth the price. 3. Ambiance - this place caters to large parties as well as a party of 2. But it can host big parties for sure. This place gives you a lounge feel. They have loud music jamming in the background, but it's part of their ambiance. The music gives you a club feel. They have a very nice sound system. 4. Food - the Korean BBQ is good, however their kimchi soup is not the best, and they don't have a lot of Banchan (Korean vegetable side dishes). I was pretty bummed out about that. However, besides that, the meal was not bad. 5. Cleanliness - dining area appears clean, restrooms are not bad, but it's wet everywhere. SUMMARY - Overall, this is a good place to eat Korean BBQ. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
It was our first time trying out this place, as it was a recommended by a friend of ours. It was a very pleasant and delightful experience our waiter, Jacobie, was very down to earth, easy to talk to and very attentive to our table. The food for the price blew our mind, it was pretty good quality food for the price point, we went particularly just for the dinner service. The ambiance was very chill when we walked in and pretty inviting to us when we went around dusk/late evening. Would recommend this location to others in the future!!!

Yelp
Went on Monday for AYCE lunch. Service was great. Meat quality was not that great anymore. Saporo and Asahi bottle beer $12.98/ each.

Yelp
Went for dinner 2 weeks ago. When we walked inside there was another party waiting. We stood at the front for maybe 10-15 minutes. Saw servers taking care of tables, some servers would look at the host stand but none of them came up to us. We heard a table say "you guys are gonna be waiting for a while. might as well seat yourselves" another table asked a server "is there no host? how come no one's seating them?" the server said oh i have no idea what's going on. ??? After a while a girl came by and said sorry for the wait. After we got seated, we saw our server go to the host stand to seat other people coming in. But how come when we stood up there with the other party nobody acknowledged us? Our server was pretty awkward when talking to us. He told us there were no potato side dish, said he wasn't sure what was going on with that. Other than all of that, food was good. Not sure if they're short staffed, no management or what but everything just seemed unprofessional.

Yelp
Ive had good experiences at this restaurant. Relatively new in its faculty at WoW, Gen has been a household name when it comes to Korean BBQ. At this location, the place is hip, modern and bumping. My party of 8 elected for the normal all you can eat which comes in at around $33 per person. Pretty generous cuts of meat, decent sides and good fast service are always great. The pork jowl was my favorite with the galbi ribs coming in next. A fun thing is that we get to cook ourselves unlike some other places that demand they cook for you. My only gripe is that they have a mandatory tip tacked onto the bill and the options begin at 18%. I know I can go back and tell them to print me a writable invoice so I can add in my 15%, but it definitely feels like they're trying to squeeze you for more money whenever and wherever they can. Good food, but it'll be a long time before I come back. Before any of you guys defend against my viewpoint, I'll straight up say maybe I can't afford to eat out anymore.

Yelp
Started off pretty rough with no host in their position by the door...We stood there for a couple of minutes until someone nonchalantly walked towards us while still scrolling on their cellphone. Not a good look, especially when people are hangry. Luckily this was the only bad thing that happened tonight. First off, menu is extensive! I've been to Gen before-- their first location, but I don't recall having so many choices. Very pleasantly surprised. Another shocker was the sizing of their apetitizers! Other K-bbq places their appetitzers would be half the size, but here they actually give you a good portion. For appetitizers I liked the soondooboo soup and tonkatsu. Mandu was nothing too special, but it wasn't bad. Japchae is an easy pass-- very bland. First time trying ricepaper with k-bbq, did not know it was a thing till tonight. Not bad. Now the meats, all of them were tasty. No complaints. Usually there would be at least one meat choice in every k-bbq place I go to where there would be a miss, but today everything was solid. Beef bulgogi somehow always ends up being #1 at any establishment that we go to, but tonight crown goes to Hawaiian steak. Okay and to top everything off, our lovely server tonight, Roland! You made my mom so happy, I don't think she's ever been so impressed with anyone like this before. You impressed her so much that it made me impressed because she's pretty hard to please. Management if you're reading this, if you can, please give him a raise. He truly deserves it! As mentioned earlier, we were pretty dissatisified from the beginning, but Roland managed to change the whole night around for us.

Yelp
I had one of the most disappointing dining experiences at Gen Korean BBQ. From the start, we were handed visibly dirty tongs, and asked for a clean one. While waiting for our food, we noticed a spider crawling out of the grill. Our sliced beef that we ordered and cooked had plastic in it. We informed our server, and they offered cuts of meat off the "premium" menu. At that point, we had lost all appetite and trust in the cleanliness of the kitchen. We ended up cutting our visit short, completely dissatisfied.

Yelp
One of the cheapest AYCE KBBQ spots in Houston, at $30.95 per person. They can accommodate huge parties of 16 easy, at least based on the birthday party group that was there. Lots of meats to choose from, and plenty of sides to order from as well. Favorite meats to order were the chadol, gochujang beef belly, and of course the galbi. They replace the grills at a good frequency. A few areas where they lost points: 1) only 1 order of galbi at a time, and the slices are super thin 2) some of the sides took forever, the cheese katsu probably took 30 minutes, and we asked about it 2 times. 3) they ran out of the rice wrappers, and we arrived at 5pm... 4) cheese katsu, soondooboo, and hotteok were disappointing; would not recommend any of them.

Yelp
I was at Gen's Westheimer location on Sunday 2/2/25 and will NEVER return to this location. As you can see on my receipt, we had 29 adults for a birthday dinner. We made the reservation in advance and paid a $200 deposit because we had a large party. We are extremely familiar with the Gen Midtown location which we love but decided to give the Westheimer location a chance because it was closer for the majority of our guests and parking is easier/more plentiful. We arrive and the manager lets us know it can only be a maximum of 2 split checks (same policy as Midtown). She then lets us know that there is a Premium Option which is $20 more per person and a Regular Menu ($31.95 per adult). The majority of our group wanted to try the premium menu and a handful were okay sticking with the regular menu. When the manager saw that so few people wanted the Regular option, she encouraged us to do Premium for All guests and offered 8 carafes of Soju to make up for it. As hosts of the party, my husband and I did our best to spread our time between the 2 tables. 15 minutes into us being seated, a few of our friends let us know that the Premium Marinated Long Bone Short Rib Steak as well as the Premium Cajun Shrimp were out. We immediately flagged down the waiter and he confirmed this. I told him we only ordered 1st round and you're already out of the main things we wanted to try on Premium, I want to go back down to Regular menu or at least receive a discount on Premium. Our server was very understanding and said "Look, I haven't charged you guys for anything yet, let me call my manager out to see how we can make this right" Manager came out, we explained how we felt it was unfair of her to sell us on Premium when she's out of the main items making the extra $20 worth it (nobody is paying an extra $20 to eat Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Pollo Asada). She stated that since we had already started ordering that she cannot charge us for Regular and that the register only has 2 options-one for Regular and one for Premium and that she's not able to give a discount. We asked how she planned on making this right and she said Gen is still able to charge full price for Premium as long as they have some Premium items. She told us we could still order ribeyes. We asked "What ribeyes? Where is that on the menu?" She looked around our table and returned to the front to grab a few laminated sheets that said we could have 1 Ribeye per person. THAT MEANS IF WE HADN'T had issues, we would have never even known it was an option to order ribeyes. We then ordered ribeyes and they came out FROZEN. I called the Manager back and said "can you tell me how to grill frozen ribeyes that still have ice on them?" This was the 1st time she actually seemed embarrassed and said she would go and get me the "non-frozen ones". When she returned I asked if she wanted the frozen ones back and she said yes. I am 100% sure that the frozen ribeyes will be served again to other customers despite sitting at our table for 10 minutes. My group didn't tamper with anything but who is to say that if this happened to another group they wouldn't have spit or cough on the steaks? GROSS!!! To make matters worse, the waiters kept bringing out the same cuts of meat and they were meats we hadn't ordered. I had to pull aside our server Rolando (that's what my receipt says his name was) and told him not to bring anything that was not ordered from a member of my party. He was apologetic and kind. The receipt came out and they tried to highlight 22% (options are 18%, 22%, and 25%) but we immediately said to change back down to 18%. TLDR Long Story Short: 1. Gen Westheimer Female Manager from Sunday 2/2/25 IS TERRIBLE! MEAT ALSO SUBPAR. Will never ever return to Gen Westheimer location. 2. Make sure Gen actually has all Premium Menu Items Available before opting for the $20 more expensive premium option ($51.95 vs $31.95). 3. Don't cheap out on tip for waiters/servers just because their manager is the worst (we still tipped 18% on receipt despite being straight up cheated).

Yelp
Place is losing its touch. They are always out of items. Galbi, fish katsu, the boneless short ribs. Every time we go. And this time we went closer to closing and several employees were walking across the tops of tables to clean. They were not wearing their shoes, which I was like oh ok. Then I saw them walk across the entire restaurant in their socks and wanted to puke. These tables had already been cleaned for the night, and they will seat and serve people after having their nasty dirty feet all over the table. Gross

Yelp
Our family had dinner here last night with another family. We had been to 2 other Gen locations (downtown Houston and one in Los Angeles). The interior is pretty modern and still pretty new/fresh. The service was good. The good is good (not great) but for the price, it's quite a bargain. Even with the basic AYCE, you have a lot of choices for meat (we probably tried ~5 different kinds because we liked what we had but there are ~20 options) as well as lot of extras or appetizers.

Yelp
Great ambiance my server ryan was fantastic and very helpful with how to cook meats and explaining the premium menu!

Yelp
Our son moved back to Texas not long ago and wanted to take me and his sister to a Korean bbq place. We agreed and off we went. It was very clean and the staff was very very attentive. We just about ordered the whole appetizer section and shared everything. It was very good. Then he showed us how to cook on the grill. Yes it took a little bit but I was in good hands with my daughter, son, and grandson there as well. We ate so much food. Absolutely nothing was left over. We definitely want to go back! Oh oh oh we also had adult capris sun drinks that were marvelous. Can't wait to go back. On weekends it was 30$for the regular menu which will cover all the regular foods. No upgrades.

Yelp
The management at this location does a poor job of keeping inventory in stock. There is always something missing from the ayce menu. I've had three separate incidents at this location: 1) no rice paper because they did not have any in stock, 2) no rice paper because the microwave broke and they did not know how to steam it and 3) no more salad. Very disappointed as it does not live up to the Gen experience. Do not recommend coming to this location.

Yelp
Gen is one my favorite places for Korean bbq. Alonzo is a great manager and is always friendly. Staff is amazing and the atmosphere is great. Honestly I always get the delux the food is fresh and the marinated meats are top tier.

Yelp
This is my 2nd time coming here for lunch and I have to say that it's been pretty decent. Not great but not bad either. My friends and I came here for lunch & it was kind of busy. Our server was somewhat nice to us but my friend thought she was rude. I definitely did see her treating him with a cold shoulder & treated me nice. But her service was good enough for me. We decided to order their KFC as a starter & I thought it tasted below par. Nothing in that chicken screams Korean at all, it just tasted like frozen popcorn chicken. After that we went ahead and order the meats. * Beef bulgogi- tasty, juicy, tendered & Nicely marinated. 4.5/5 * Gen premium steak- meh 2/5 * Honey soy beef belly- it wasn't marinated that well, I felt like they just poured sauce into the meat and called it a day. 2.5/5 * Premium chadol- it was thin but it was tendered. Kind of bland but that's where the dipping sauce comes in. 3/5 * Nook gan sal- my 2nd favorite on the menu. It was juicy & flavorful. 4/5 * Hawaiian steak- it was alright, it just had a sweetness to it. 2.5/5 * Woo beasal- good 3.5/5 During our meal, we were not allowed to adjust the temperature on our grills because something about a safety issue. So we were cooking it at the lowest temperature. Pretty much telling us they didn't want to change out our grills without saying it. The white rice that was provided was hard and dry. Rice isn't that hard to make but they failed on that. Overall, it was decent. It's good enough for me to return. I am happy that they have a Gen by my house so I don't have to drive to midtown. I think 19.99 for lunch is a great deal, you get your bang for your buck & you'll definitely leave full. Will I come back? Yes.

Yelp
HOUSTON, TX 77070 / AYCE KOREAN BBQ / MULTIPLE VISITS / DINNER +The brisket was the star meat choice of the meal. +The customer service was great. +Plenty of seating space and table space. -The dwenjang (fermented soy bean soup) was watery and bland. -The strip had a major chunk of fat on it. Please open a location in/around Katy Asia Town!

Yelp
We had lunch on a weekend here and it was great. Mr. Zo took great care of us! Couldn't have asked for a better waiter. It was our first time here and he helped us with ordering. The meat - galbi and chicken were so good! I was surprised with the chicken, it was super flavorful and soft. The tables are large and easy to share a meal with others.

Yelp
The new location of Gen Kbbq is great! Came here for dinner for 2. The restaurant is very clean and open with lots of seating. Thank you to our server Alvin. Dinner is $30.95 per person which includes anything on the AYCE menu, no drinks. My favorite meats were the spicy pork belly and beef bulgogi. The spicy tofu stew was also surprisingly tasty. Generally in my experience, the sides are kind of lacking at ayce spots. The japchae is nothing special. I really like all of their banchan, especially the potato salad. Don't forget to ask for samjang and the rice paper or pickled radish sheets if you want them. I would say the meat quality is pretty good but not the best I've had, however the great service and tasty banchan make it amazing to me. Definitely give it a try!

Yelp
Great option for AYCE KBBQ. There are only 2 prices: Lunch $20 and Dinner $31. Lunch is available before 3 on weekdays, and Dinner is after 3pm and all day on weekends. Amazing value!! The menu has a large variety of meats, appetizers, side dishes, etc. Everything was delicious. Pro tip: try out the rice and radish paper if you haven't already as well as the sundubu jigae (spicy tofu soup). Although the food was overall really good, there were 2 issues we had. All of the banchan was WARM. We started snacking on the banchan as we were waiting for our meats to arrive and immediately were turned off by warm potato salad and kimchi. We tried the other banchan and it was all warm. I also have a strong distaste for green onion/scallion. That being said, nowhere on the menu does it say that the galbi would come covered in green onions, so I sat there trying to scrape all of it off the meat. Not sure what went wrong here since these things weren't issues at the Midtown location. On the bright side, we received great service, our server was attentive and stayed on top of our orders & changing our grill. We were also greeted by the manager who came over to make sure we were still doing okay. Overall, good food, great service. Definitely worth stopping by for any KBBQ fan out there or anyone hoping to avoid the long waits at the Midtown location.
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
The meat quality is noticeably much better here than the Midtown location and there are many items that are only available here - don't judge me for ordering the fish katsu at a KBBQ restaurant. There is a limit of 4 meat items per order but we never felt restricted since our server came back regularly to ask if we wanted to order more. The banchan took some time to come out, and I was disappointed that I had to specifically request the picked radish and salad since these are normally included with the first round of banchan. Was also disappointed these took a bit longer to arrive since the meat I wanted to eat with it was getting cold while waiting. I had also ordered a tofu soup at the beginning of the evening and had to check back with my server 3 separate times about it. I didn't receive it until we were about to leave. I would come back based on the reasonable pricing ($32 per person for dinner) and convenience, but I hope they iron out some service issues as they continue operating.

Yelp
Absolutely not worth it. We ordered 5 different types of meat and didn't enjoy a single one. All were super chewy and were not marinated well. Side dishes were limited and not fresh. Service was below average with long waits and inconsistent orders. We had to wait for sauces for 15 minutes after we ordered. The sauces were not worth the wait. We left disappointed.

Yelp
This is the third location I've been to, and I think this is the best one in Houston. The staff are super nice, the meats come fast, and it's pretty clean. It's loud, trendy, and upbeat, and overall, it's a great meal with friends and family. My favorites were the kalbi, spicy pork belly, and seasoned beef bellies. I was order multiple rounds of those and stuffed myself until I was about to explode! Definitely one of the best kbbq restaurants in Houston considering the quality of the meats and the price.
google avatar

Iman Z.

Yelp
Loved trying this place out. Overall price for AYCE was really good for the amount of meats available. Loved the galbi and calamari. I did come around 3pm and they were out of a couple items which was disappointing but still loved the flavor of everything.
google avatar

Lily N.

Yelp
I went on a Saturday night and was seated right away with no reservations for five people. I read the reviews and saw plenty about service not being the best and I totally agree. Our server brought our meats, sauce and salad out and completely forgot about our water and sides. Every time we ordered something we would always miss an item and had to remind him to bring it out.

Yelp
This is a nice restaurant food was good buttt be prepared to cook everything this is a nice restaurant I would come back but not anytime soon it's just takes time to cook LOL but everything was nice

Yelp
The menu in this Restaurant is amazing and it is all you can eat! Good tasting and tender beef , many varieties depending on which set of price you chose . We like quality so we chose the premium and we were not disappointed. Great ambience although I think is more the pop Korean :)) wagu was amazing and their even put rosemary leaves & Onion sprouts for you to bbq with your steaks! Our server Alvin was a people's person and did his thing , 1st visit and he already told us most of what we should try etc. we are die hard Korean bbq fans and had been loving these type of bbq for years . Must go against and again to try more on the menu! Couldn't even do half the justice as it's a lot of food!

Yelp
It was pretty mid I've had better kbbq. Service was pretty bad as well. We came in and it was pretty empty and still took awhile

Yelp
The experience was unique and you can get as much as your want! The server was super friendly and helpful. The vibe of the place and the experience is definitely worth trying at least once! Come hungry because it's all you can eat!

Yelp
I came here yesterday for lunch. It's an all you can eat Korean BBQ buffet. You cook the food yourself which is very fun. I've never had sweet on meat before lol. I tried lots of a new food and different kind of drinks and it was all delicious. The service is amazing! #shoutoutbryan our server he was very informative and friendly. Also, the two other gentleman that dropped off the food, drink and clean up the plates! They played great music, food and drinks were bought out in a timely manner. I had a great time, if I had money like that I would return ! #bringyourwallets

Yelp
Excellent service. Everything but the floors were clean. From all the smoke and grease, floors were very slippery. Walk slow. We got premium dinner. Everything looked like excelllent cuts. Fresh meats. Wish there were more sides. Although if you want a variety of sauce, it comes with the sweet brown on and the sesame oil and salt only. This location if you get premium, you can get the taco sampler! And for an extra $4.95 you can get a macaron ice cream sandwich. Overall - Definitely way better than the midtown location. Personally feel like this is currently the best kbbq in Houston. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
I had a very disappointing experience with the manager, Miss Nayeli, at Gen Korean BBQ. When we arrived, she told us to "sit anywhere," so we double checked with her just to be sure. She confirmed but did so in a rude and dismissive tone. Then, after we sat down, she looked our way and told us to get up from a distance. When she did so, she sat us down with an attitude. After all the confusion that she caused, she ended up seating us all the way in the back. The whole situation felt unorganized and unnecessary, and her attitude was unprofessional. Definitely not the kind of service I expected, very delicious food tho.

Yelp
It was my first time coming here, didn't have to wait too long to be seated. They do run specials, I'd ask about them if you're dining in. I do like the atmosphere, I came around the time when it wasn't open long. The food is just like any other KBBQ place, nothing that stood out to me. The service was good, he had him running around since we did order quite a bit.

Yelp
the meat was good but Appetizer and the rice wasn't fresh and hot. The appetizer was so cold it like it's been there and it's cold , upset cuz I really wanted to like this place a lot

Yelp
The service was good and it was a fun experience. Definitely try it if you've never had it before. We had dinner which is $30 all you can eat but we added the premium option which is an additional $20. Get the short rib, try the bulgogi, the ramen was pretty good too! The drinks are pricey in my opinion. Over all it's fun experience bur if ur going with a big group try to get a long table

Yelp
Roland was a great server. He was able to handle a group of 15 of us pretty much on his own.

Yelp
Most cost effective and convienant location for AYCE KBBQ. The options are fantastic and the fact that they have the steam rice paper banchan keeps me coming back! My personal favorites and recommendations: The cajun shrimp (head on) Bulgogi Pork cheeks chadol all of the different flavors of pork belly tongue honey soy beef belly garlic chicken cheese tonkatsu - oh my goodness, so good!

Yelp
Food was awesome! I love coming here during lunch hours for only $19.99 for an AYCE! Their drinks were also very good, I had the Mango Island. Our server was Andrew and he was very friendly! Very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Hopefully we'll get him again when we come back!

Yelp
Had an awesome time at Gen Korean BBQ, and James really made the experience even better. He was super friendly, on top of everything, and just had a great vibe overall. He checked in at the perfect times, made sure we had everything we needed, and was patient when we had questions about the menu. You can tell he cares about his work and the people he's serving. If you get James as your server, you're in good hands!

Yelp
I came here for a birthday on Sunday night. Was not super busy when we showed up and the lighting in there is a bit off. Almost too bright. I have been to the downtown location a number of times and always enjoyed it. We did get seated and started off with a few of the "hot" appetizers. Everything was room temperature like it had been sitting out for hours. They do have a limit of how many things you can order per table, which was fine but the service from kitchen to table was very slow and our server was not stopping by frequently enough to put in more orders. On top of that all of the portion sizes are so small compared to what I had experienced at the other location in the past. The quality of meat was not the same either. I'm unsure if it is all locations that lack this quality but there are FAR better Korean bbq options that also offer AYCE before you decide to come here.

Yelp
This location recently opened near me, and i was very excited to come try it out. I had been to their midtown location before. Overall, it was good, but the side dishes were not as great as i remembered them to be at the other location. The service was a bit distracted as we had to ask for a fork about 4 times before they brought it to us. Great selection of meats. And the drink was fun with the lit up cube.

Yelp
One of my go to Korean BBQ AYCE restaurants. I really like the meat selection available. There have been days where they run out of stuff and that can be really disappointing but staff will give a discount for those scenarios. I do wish that they provide pricing on their website though. They now charge the full dinner menu on Friday and this isn't very clear on their website or on screenshots that people have provided for their menus.
