We had a really disappointing experience at the Tustin location.
We arrived at 11:55am and stood at the front with no one greeting us. Multiple employees walked past us without acknowledging us. Eventually, a girl who I later found out was the manager came up and said she could seat us in 15 minutes—then disappeared. No follow-up, no communication.
Finally, someone seated us, but the table was absolutely disgusting. It was greasy, the floor was so slippery from grease that our shoes were sliding as we sat down, and the burners were so caked with grime that they tried wiping it with a napkin just to get it to light—and it still wouldn’t work. We had to be moved to another table.
The second table was just as bad. The chairs were covered in grease, which is unacceptable, especially with a baby. I asked if they could wipe it down properly with a cleaner. I also asked for a high chair, which I had to request three separate times before one was finally brought.
Once we were finally “served,” we noticed everyone around us getting food and drinks while we were still waiting. We never even received our drinks. The table next to us ordered after we did and got their drinks before us.
By 12:45pm, after being there for almost an hour with no food or drinks, we gave up and decided to leave. I asked to speak to a manager and explained everything, only to be met with a very rude response saying, “You were only waiting 5 minutes,” which was absolutely not true.
We love Gen and go often to the Huntington Beach location, which is why this was so disappointing. The cleanliness, service, and management at the Tustin location were horrible. We won’t be returning to this location.
