The Best Food at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) | Eater New Orleans

"A beloved Kenner spot for homestyle Italian cuisine in delightfully large portions—from giant meatballs to muffuletta to cannoli—with the option to order online to grab items to go for a flight. (Approx. 15 minutes from the airport.)" - Clair Lorell

Where to Dine Along Williams Boulevard in Kenner, Louisiana | Eater New Orleans

"Copious portions, homespun charm, down home Italian menu. That’s Gendusa’s in a nutshell, a Rivertown classic that’s kid-friendly and known for its pizza and pasta specialties. Try a daily special - liver and onions on Wednesday, or get the aptly named veal saltimbocca, which ltranslates to ‘jump into the mouth.” Delish." - Beth D’Addono

Fantastic local eatery. The owner and staff were great! In addition to the pictures of my meal, my wife got shrimp/crab ravioli; superb!

Fettuccine Alfredo sauce stayed creamy thoughout meal and didn't clump or paste up at the end of the meal. Italian Sausage was awesome. My wife said that her pizza was one of her best ever. Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, salami and ham were excellent especially the ham and the salami. Super friendly service. Never heard of gravy as an Italian food term before. Good lesson. Also learned that they are Sicilian. I heard that regional Italian is a thing. I understand that, but I love all kinds of Italian food.

Not first timers! We are locals and probably our last time. Table of 4- we asked to have separate checks. We were seated up front by the check out. Was very noisy so can't speak for the main dining room on this friday night. Service was slow. At one point I got up to ask the receptionist for refills. Apps were good - crab dip & egg plant sticks. Once we got our dinner. 1 dish was so hot the person burnt there mouth, 1 dish was just barley warm. The other 2 dishes were just ok. We ordered a whole muffuletta to go, we asked for it to be cold so we can heat it up the next night. Omg we opened our bag with the 2 halves wrapped in plastic and there is NO meat on this thing. Terrible pic will be attached. Keeping the same prices maybe but skimping on the amount of meat a muffuletta is supposed to have. Now onto the checks. Again 4 of us separate checks. The other couples bill was like $68.00 and ours was $123. The suggested tip was the same amount on both checks as if it were a whole bill. Pay attention to the tip percentage if separate checks at the same table. I handed the server all cash for 1 bill and he came back to say I shorted him $5.00. I said I gave you the cash price. The difference of $5.00 was for the cc fee. He said oh I didn't notice the different prices on check.

Shane was a wonderful server - knew the menu, made excellent recommendations, attentive, and good humor. Of course our lunch was delicious! You just can't go wrong ordering their pizza - especially with their hand made cauliflower crust. But ya'll the meatballs and red sauce can not be beat 🙌🍽️

Delicious! Great Italian and huge portions. The veal Oscar was divine. Pizza was excellent. Service was good too. I'd eat here again.

I loved it and wish I lived closer. We decided to give this restaurant a try based on other reviews, and it was well worth it! Enjoyable experience. The waiter was knowledgeable and recommended a very nice wine that went well with the crab cake meal. As we were there on a Sunday night, we even got to enjoy the live music. Definitely added to the experience and well done both in technique, song choices, and especially volume for the space. The crab cakes were phenomenal and very well enjoyed. Wanted to try lasagna, but they were already out. Decided on my second choice, angel hair pasta and meatballs, and they did not disappoint. The the meatballs are HUGE! Again, wish I lived closer that I could come back and try more of the menu.

This was a really cool experience and atmosphere. It's like a secret restaurant behind the bakery storefront which are to the mob boss vibe. They had godfather playing on the background which was awesome. The food was great! Had the platter, spinach dip, calzone and chicken parmesan. All of it was delicious. Highly recommend this location if you're looking for a great Italian spot. Live music as well!

Great authentic south Italian cuisine! Hugh portions of veal and chicken parmagian! Both veal and chicken were thick pieces of meat flash fried to a crispy golden crust and very juicy. The sauce was perfectly seasoned. I asked for more and it came out quickly and hot! Love that they serve angel hair pasta. The Gelato selection is amazing, creamy and flavorful. Looking forward to our next visit
