General Tso

General Tso’s truly has an authentic old school Chinese food taste that Philly stores have been missing. I have tried the general Tso’s chicken and vegetable fried rice, beef yat, vegetable lo mein, shrimp fried rice, spring rolls, pizza rolls and pork egg rolls. All truly delicious. But the star of the show at General Tso’s is their wonton soup. When I tell you can taste the freshness of the wonton’s, with the savory broth; top notch. Go and try the food yourself. Make your own determination. I hope it continues to be good!

My first time ordering from this place. I ordered the General Tso chicken combo(C) with pork fried rice and egg roll. Everything taste perfect no bs! The sauce was sweet but not too sweet and sticky like other Chinese stores, and it had just the right amount of spices. The broccoli and everything tastes very FRESH and the store looks well maintained. Not to mention the great prices for what you get. I will be trying them again to test their consistency.. but so far 9.5 out of 10!

Food is great for the price. Menu is not basic. Store is clean and feels safe. Service is quick and courteous

Ming was very friendly and informative . Spring rolls were real good. General Tao chicken was good, vegetable fried rice good. Boneless ribs were good.

Alright, let's talk about that amazing food combo. The chicken wings and rice always hit the spot when I'm hungry. That crispy, seasoned chicken is the best part of it. The rice is the perfect side to soak up all the delicious sauces. I enjoy adding some hot sauce for an extra kick to make it more appetizing. It’s a simple meal, but it always satisfies my cravings. Honestly, I could eat it every single day without getting tired of it. So, if you ever see it on the menu, you should definitely give it a try!

I have been ordering food from here since they opened. First with my mom and 2 kids and now with my husband and 3 kids. We order multiple times a week especially with this hotter weather. The food is always exactly what we order, done always deliciously as requested and the food is always ready when we get there to pick it up and always greeted with a smile and appreciation. I have honestly never had a food place that was as delicious and dependable with reasonable prices as this place and the iced teas was delicious bonus find. I can’t think of one item on the menu that any of us ordered even for the first time to try and wasn’t good. Love this place

I really liked this place when I first came but then the second time ordering the Aisian guy tall with the glasses younger was talking trash about me the second I walked through the door . He thought I didn’t understand his language but he was insulting me and my image . And my gender , then i ignored it he offered me a seat and then in his language said hateful slurs and the woman cooking the big teeth was laughing at all his cruel jokes . My best freind speaks Chinese and I understand it aswell these people are disgusting racist and judgemental and sexist . You should never use your native language to try to low key disrespect your paying customers DISGUSTING PEOPLE THEY WERE ALL LAUGHING Edit: I will forgive the situation for now , I do appreciate you reaching out and making sure that my concern was addressed I thank you for that have a great day may you always be blessed

Always a clean and friendly atmosphere, my girl Ming works hard to maintain a healthy place to order takeout from. There food is very delicious. Its a must try.

This is a hidden gem, you can't sit in and eat but it's definitely a great takeout spot. This is literally the only Chinese spot I go to and I put my sister onto this spot. My food is always hot and tasty. The service is fast, the lady at the front taking the order is nice and I like that she made me aware that there was an extra charge if you use it. The general taso chicken wings are the best.

I'm giving 4 stars just because Chinese Food in Philadelphia is below average and this place was average, order house special fried rice and pepper steak which was almost good not bad but that is nothing more. Price was bit higher that I expected but I guess everything has went up on price! Freshness was there and I guess each time I'm craving Chinese food I'm looking decent taste and also not to get poisoned so I enjoyed food almost average taste and didn't get poisoned, so 4 starts should be for better than good food but under this circumstances they get 4 stars!

First time ordering from this location. Got the large Pepper Steak and rice..The steak was not cooked completely very rubbery peppers not fresh either. Also had the General Tso chicken with shrimp fried rice combo. Poor quality overall. The egg roll was hard and dry inside not fresh at all. I hold a ServSafe Certification and this is unacceptable. Not worth the $25.33 at all. Very very disappointed.

I don't normally order Chinese food but this place was pretty good. The veggies in the stir fry seemed fresh. The fried rice was okay, I guess not everyone adds an egg to their rice which I'd prefer. The crab rangoons were decent, I'd consider reordering one day.

Food was very good (ver nice portions) and ready at pick up time! Taste was very good as well. The place looks clean and very well kept.

Food was delivered hot and fresh, pepper steak well done how I like it, lo mein was a nice big portion and noodle soup was a Smokey flavor. I prefer plain when I am sick. Over all yummy, they forgot my drink which sucks when your so full and need that soda to refresh you.

This spot is clean and has an open kitchen. I go here because of the proximity to my work. The dumplings seem to be homemade and are the best in the area. I did subtract one star for one of the lunch specials I ordered. It was a beef and vegetable dish over rice, but it was too salty and the bell peppers were cut way too big....about 1/4 size so it was difficult to eat. It seemed like a one-time incident though because the food is great every other time I order from here.

The General Tso Chicken Was Fresh Along With The Broccoli & Rice This is Hands Down The Best Fresh Clean Chinese Restaurant I Been in Frankford and The Prices Are Reasonable

Pretty good food. Great customer service with the delivery guy. Worth every penny. The wonton soup was especially good. My daughter (3) tried to eat the whole large size. I will be ordering from here again soon.

It's hard to find descent food in this area I've got to say this place is very good they didn't have delivery but they had grub hub which I don't use the General tys shrimp very good and shrimp roll very good not much grease at all

My mom and I order from here weekly. It is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is usually very fresh; however, the last three times we've ordered, we never received our can of soda that we paid for each time. So that has been disappointing. Next time I will probably call to make sure they include it, as again we are paying for it.

Delicious food. Ordered online through BeyondMenu. I wouldn't think some corner chinese joint would be good but it is. The general tso shrimp was crispy and delicious. I loved the general tso sauce. The mongolian beef was my fav, quality beef. A little spice and had onions in it. The pork fried dumplings were good to. Def. recommend this spot.

Very pleased with this take out restaurant. Very clean, open kitchen and nice people. The prices are reasonable and the service is fast. Would absolutely recommend to anyone. If I had one complaint, maybe the rice could use a little more flavor, not bland, just needs a little more color and flavor. Besides that, the overall experience has been very pleasant.

Yesterday was my first time visiting General Tso Chinese store, and the food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. The food and the service exceeded all of my expectations. The place was very clean, presentable and friendly! I would definitely recommend coming here and getting a quick bite to eat the portions are a little bit smaller then your regular Chinese store but it was definitely high quality food and worth every penny!

Food was so so. They used MSG so I had a bad headache afterwards. Probably won't go again

If you love Chinese food and grew up eating it as a city kid like me then I think you will definitely find some things you like. I have had some hits and misses when it comes to this place but overall its good and you might find a favorite. The place is really clean which is definitely a plus for this area. The general tso's is really good not that cheap weird orange color you usually see and with big chunks of fresh chicken probably my favorite so far. I'm not fan of the fried rice it taste really healthy if you know what I mean, they put peas and carrots in the fried rice and it doesn't have a lot of flavor to it like it just steamed and not fried which is unfortunate cuz good chinese always needs a good fried rice. Beef and broccoli was good the quality of meat looks and taste like actual beef, not that weird gelatinous meat from the corner store. The chicken wings are ok they use a thick coating which taste like some kind of batter is on it, its not bad just different. The lomein is really good sticky noodles with a good sauce on it although they put in a really small bowl for pint, not the large white containers like I'm use to. This place is worth the try because they use high quality ingredients and give great service, so although there things that could be better this place is clean, the food is cleaner and taste pretty good and the prices are very reasonable so that's a plus. So far this place has replaced my usual corner store chinese.

Food is advertised as authentic, fresh and clean. It most certainly is! We did not have a good delivery Chinese in the area until now. Senior Management is especially particular when it comes to take out. I met a gentleman giving out menus on my street. He paid attention to detail by stapling a rubber band to the menu before hanging it on the door so it wouldn't blow around. I figured that was a good sign. We had BBQ spare ribs, cold sesame noodles, shrimp fried rice and moo shoo pork. Very tasty and not one bit greasy. The fried rice was not pre cooked and the shrimp were good sized and fresh. The moo shoo did not come with plum sauce. I ordered sweet and sour sauce on the side for a very reasonable $ 1. I did get voice mail when I originally called and let them know about it. Try again and make sure you get a live person. They were unaware of the calls going to voice mail. Delivery was under an hour. The bottom line: Senior Management would order again. That's the biggest complement of all!
