Genghis Grill

My food today was absolutely terrible unfortunately. They way overcooked my protein. My chicken was charred, my shrimp was charred and the beef was a weird color. I can tell they don't get a lot of dine in customers, because the waitstaff didn't seem at all happy to be helping anyone and I felt like it was more annoyance than anything that I chose to dine in. I will say my server did check back enough times though and took a little bit off the ticket for the bad food. As someone who took several years of hotel and restaurant management, my expectations may be a bit higher than most.

Definitely will be back here!! Not only was the service awesome 😎 but so was the food 😋 My husband & I didn't do a 'create your own bowl', but just ordered off the menu instead. We got the chicken fried rice & it was amazing and delicious 😋 The restaurant is kept very clean & has a great vibe to it. Our server was very attentive and kind. Y'all are doing a phenomenal job, keep it up!!! See you again soon 🍚

Be very careful eating here!! Was served completely raw chicken in my dish! When the waiter was told he removed it and notified his manager. Less then 5 minutes later my meal was returned to me looking like it had been picked through. We asked for the manager and were informed it is a common practice for them to remove the raw food and then return the food to the customer. This chicken was not undercooked it was completely out of the package raw. My sister had to inform them that it is against food safety to return food that has contained raw chicken back to the customer. On top of this my daughter waited over an hr for her Mac n cheese that was not given to her until we were leaving. Both meals were comped but this is a safety issue and as I cannot find a number for someone in charge above a manager idk how else to make sure this stops happening. Our waiter was great but everyone else seemed to act like we were inconvenience them by making them deal with the issue with our food

When I tried to dine at the Duncanville store but it was locked out, we decided to try this location, and we are so glad that we did. This location was bright, clean, and there was someone there constantly checking the temp of the ingredients. Even though teh staff wasn't very helpful or friendly, the food was delicious. This has become a new favorite go-to.

This was awful. So terrible. The food wasn't good at all, and the service was fine. There is NO reason my grandson and I walked out hungry after I paid $70 for this "meal" and don't use the forks if you do decide to eat here. Ask for chop sticks like I did. The edamame was good, that's it. I noticed the fork was black on the inside prongs, I took a napkin and wiped, all this black stuff came out. The eggs had weird looking green and black marks and the steak didn't taste like steak, it tasted like goat and it was charred. We gave it a chance, didn't like it, so, we paid and left.

WAY over priced for what you get. Food quality was meh. Portion size was not as big as expected based on the price and was mostly rice. Egg rolls ere TINY. Staff were nice but overwhelmed and busy. Did I say that this place was incredibly overpriced? I cannot in good faith recommend anyone else eat here based on the prices alone.

Weird experience and business model, for the “make your own bowl” at least. You wait to be seated, then order your drinks and “base” from the waitress (rice, noodles, etc, even though we didn’t even see noodles on the menu). Then you get up and go to a self serve counter. Think cafeteria style. You add whatever raw ingredients you want into a bowl (including however much meat you want, which was a big plus). Then they’re a sauces, which I was told not to put into the bowl, just a side container. Like a to go cup. I assumed I’d get that later to add to my final bowl. Nope. You put your tray on a shelf and they cook it all. Including all your side sauces. They throw them all in. So I ended up with a gooey mess cause I didn’t understand this whole process. I went back again a few days later, not armed with experience with this whole thing. It was much better. My critique is the confusion of it all. It’s so odd. Why can’t I just order what I want in my bowl, from the waitress, like you do when ordering an omelet? Or if I must stand up and order, why not copy Panda and just do it all there at the counter? It’s so confusing to do half at the table then half at the counter. But… it was really good! Very fresh and well cooked. So there was that!

I love Mongolian grills, but Gengis is not the greatest. Good, but it's just a regular degular chain. There are better places that do pretty much the same thing for cheaper & the food quality is better. The workers are nice though! & it's not terrible! Just ok

Food, Service and Ambiance were fantastic! Sylvia was very sweet and delivered great customer service! We will be back!

My first time trying this place and all I can say is I will be back ... the food was amazing ... and our server Ellie was very attentive and sweet which made the experience more satisfying... will definitely be back !

the food was amazing I personally ordered the Supreme Fried Rice and the manager Mike was really helpful and Artie who gave my order to me with kindness! I'm definitely coming back here!

I love genghis grill but I HATE this location! I'll drive 15 more minutes to the one in the highlands before eating here.. strictly because of the service. I've never seen a waitress roll her eyes in your face before until coming here, a skinny gothic girl (I think her name was anais) I was actually shocked, because all my mom did was ask her for a to go drink, AFTER we ate, and tipped her over 20$. Bad vibes, would not recommend.

Oh my gosh, Genghis is so yumm! Kinda pricey but really good. Chefs here cook the food perfectly. They are really low staffed right now so be patient. They really should make the bowls bigger for the price they charge. In a new shopping center that you can probably find some other things to do after lunch. Clean inside and staff was working hard to get everyone taken care of.

Excellent variety of menu options. The food is always delicious. The portions are very generous; a good value for your money. The service is very good. Recommend ordering ahead online, if you want takeout.

Great service. I like the concept of creating a dish with items of your choosing and seasoned with your choices. It was really good. Staff was great and I've been to a few of these all around USA and they are consistent quality. Would do 5 stars but price is more than it should be by about 25%!

They have the best service and food. Talia our server was very attentive to our needs. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly. The vibe was great.

My wife loves this place so we frequently visit. Met the VP of marketing on the 25th year Bday anniversary. Kind man. Awesome Manager. If only more restaurants could duplicate his energy, experience, kindness and empathy eating out would be so much more pleasurable.

Very friendly grateful always fresh and fast love to go there for lunch. Or to have work meetings or catering for work events has always worked out really good.

I only give four stars because there was a shrimp and a potato in my bowl which is not something i picked. Im sure it was an accident but this could be bad for someone allergic, other than that though, 10/10, the sauces we good and spicy to my liking! This place is better than Panda Express for sure! Customer service AMAZING, came in just 30 mins before close and i know how annoying that can be so sorry but the staff still treated us amazing, thanks Miyaki great waitress. The atmosphere was great and the place looked clean.

Today I had a chef bowl General Tso it was really good . This may be my go to dish. I ordered it thru the app and it was ready when I arrived. The last one I had about 2 weeks ago was a build your own large with cabbage and potatoes and it was atrocious. I ended up throwing it away because it was too juicy the potatoes were too hard and the taste was too sweet.25$ totally wasted but the bowl today made up for it it was a small and it was just enough for an evening meal.

My very first experience eating here. I chose the restaurant because I like the idea of the grill for dinner. I tried it and it met my expectations. The concept of creating your meal to your specifications, is absolutely awesome. The food was awesome. Arty/server, Vanessa/Manager, and the young lady who ask if she could assist me as I went through the process were the epitome of excellence in customer service. Although, I opted to get my order to go, I will eat in on the next visit, the ambience of the restaurant was warm and relaxing. 5 stars​

I came into the restaurant to order a bowl i sat at the counter for 15 minutes before I was waited on,, and the restaurant was nearly empt. After they took my order they ended up giving it away to someone else. They sa that they would give me another bowl for my inconvenience but when it came time to get the bowl they charged me anyway. I won't go back they sucked really poor customer service.

Food is amazing and the service is superb ESPECIALLY if you have the honor of being waited by Arty! He was very helpful in helping us choose a dish, and was observant of our needs by refilling our drinks and having to-go containers ready without us asking. Love this place for a healthy hearty dish, clean atmosphere and great service.

This was an amazing experience!! I absolutely loved this Ghengis and will be coming to this location from now on!! It was so clean!! The space was bright!! Everybody was so welcoming and helpful! My bowl was cooked to perfection!! Our waiter was the best you could ask for! 10's across the board!

Always great food and service!!! The Grand Prairie location at Mayfield Rd and George Bush Fwy is the best. The owner knows how to run a team and great restaurant.

My husband and I went here for the first time and we will never go back. We ordered an appetizer and two bowls. There was only two other tables being served in the whole place and about 6 cooks including a manager, plenty of people to get food out on time. We waited 30 min with no food and the server Breanna only brought out one bowl when she did come. My husband got half of a bowl and we ordered a large. The food was mediocre at best both of our bowls were dry and needed more sauce, very overpriced for what we got. The servers and the cooks were spending more time talking than making our food. When we asked for our appetizer to be taken off the bill and to get boxes and our check the server Breanna gave us attitude and made rude noises towards us. Needless to say everything was very unpleasant and unprofessional and would not recommend this place.

Easily the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. Our waitress Breanna was rude and didn't make me or my girl friend feel welcomed. The cook was also extremely rude and told me that I had to get a large and a regular size bowl because my regular size bowl was "over flowing" (this was after I had tipped him, keep that in mind) for 2 bowls and quesadillas we spent over $70. This place is a disgrace and the food is mid at best. Poor customer service, fine-dining prices and average at best food. I Would never recommend this place to anybody I care about. What I do recommend is Tons Mongolian grille, it's about 5 minutes away from this GG location. It's all you can eat, very good customer service and for 2 adults it's roughly $23 USD and they offer complimentary ice cream. The address to TONS is 4136 S Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie TX 75052. I am a Grand Prairie local and want to help anyone if I can! I am in no way, shape or form involved with Tons. I just highlight recommend them over this GG dump.

Not a great place for single people to eat. The staff gave me a dirty look when I said it was just me. Then the staff helped 4 other tables that came in the door after me, when someone finally came to talk to me. She rolled her eyes when I said the lady took my drink but never came back. So I left.

It's a newer establishment.. I can't speak to how it was pre-covid19 as this is my first time at this location but I'm just happy to sit inside a restaurant. They are operating in accordance with state guidelines so they're operating at 25% capacity. 75% of the tables have a marker ontop stating it's closed for social distancing. Ordering your food is definitely a big change.. You never touch the bowl. You still go down the line but they'll put in what you want. I would like to specifically give a shout out to a great employee... Mrs. Katana. She was the one putting our bowls together. She was sooo nice to my indecisive children. Great personality, very attentive and of course patient. I really appreciated it. Food wise, outstanding! Everyone loved it. Can't go wrong with it when you're the one building your own meal with what you select. With all the precautionary measures they're taking, I'd recommend this establishment!

This was my first time at this location and won't be my last. Although getting seated took slightly longer than expected, my experience was a pleasant one and all of the staff were great. I ordered the "create your own" bowl in a small size and the food came out quick and was delicious! For myself, the small size was an adequate portion and filled me up. Arturo, our waiter, was fun and friendly!

Welp. Ive passed by this place probably 100 times over the years and have never gone in due to it being always empty. Today, I decided to try. It was 12:30pm on a Saturday. Empty restaurant. it was a waste of money. Its like an American attempt an Asian. Any post that says otherwise is either a promoter or owner. Find a real Mongolian grill. Hope this review saves someone.

This place deserve more than two and a half stars. The food is great. Its filling too. They need to hire more servers but yes I love their food and will go back again.

2 stars is because I'm upset. Not because of service or taste of food. I've been here 4 times in the last 3 weeks. Food was great. I understand cov19. Will affect hours. But 7 o'clock. Really. I arrived at 704. I've tipped 30% to help out workers You would think they want all the business they could get

It's been a hot minute since I'd been to Genghis Grill, the last one I went to was in Addison which may be why I haven't been back. This location is new, brightly lit, and has a much better parking situation. (Parking is a HUGE problem at the Addison location) Plenty of booth seating. There's also seating at the bar. TVs that can be seen from anywhere, but they had some sporting thing on, possibly football... I wasn't really focusing on that lol We were seated quickly and felt right at home. The Dragonfruit Sunrise drink was a $5 special and did not skimp on the alcohol (nice). The place got uber busy seconds after we arrived so the line behind us at the ingredient selection station got long fast! Which moved quickly despite how many people showed up suddenly. The food was well cooked. All the servers were super friendly and courteous. Our server was very attentive. I will certainly be back to this location again. The new rewards app is going to pay in dividends since they have specials on different days of the week, lower lunchtime prices, and orders to go.

The food was great! However this place needs a manager on-site. We walked in and they were ok busy, but hesitant to seat us right a way. Our waitress seemed new. I've been to other locations of Genghis trough out their years and never seen such a poor managed one. Their was dirty tables and just trash on the floors, really sad actually. We received our bowls and I was crushed because their bowls have gotten a lot smaller. We got up to create our bowls and their buffet area was not nicely clean. I didn't put much attention since I thought, maybe they had a lunch rush and haven't got to tighten up. BUT after waiting for our food for a while to cook, noticed the standing and chatting. I was very disappointed of this location, being such a new store in the area to start of this way. I'm hoping they read this review.

Bro, this is the slowest place I've been to. I2 orders, mine came out 1st, my wife's hasn't come out for 45 minutes.

I walk in confused and one of the workers was like you can go to the bar to get your order. I go and as soon as I walk up the guy walks to the back without saying a word to me. I made eye contact with him, he finally comes back and was like "you need to place an order? And I was like yeah. Rather than taking my order he proceeds to continue opening his can of pineapple juice and refilling his bar stuff. I just walked out. I had a large order bcuz someone recommended the food. I won't ever be going back. Went on Saturday 7/10 at around 2:55pm. Everybody there look miserable. Customer service is number one.

They were a dope staff the manager was great food was great servers great and fast wow

First time at this location and the food isn't the issue with my rating. The level of sanitization , safety, and hygiene practices are awful here. Employees not wearing masks or gloves handling food. Eating and drinking while preparing foods and in the cooking area (incl. manager) as well as cleaning and changing the filtration equipment over the cooking grill while food is being prepared. Employees constantly on their phones and messing with their hair. If I were a food inspector, this place would have been written up.

Second time picking up lunch and having a great experience! All the staff is have great service! I was hesitant on visiting because of the reviews and the restaurants nearby are very disappointing. But I appreciated the service her and look forward to my visits!!

Arturo was a great server! My family and I came in and he was just that breathe of fresh air we needed.

If I could give them 0 I would've. Genghis grill my Favorite place. But this location needs some changes I waited 45 minutes for my food and people before me and after me got food was just one thing. No one wants to even wanna come to your table to get your drink order. And tell me why servers wearing heels?. We left now I'm disappointed and hungry. Never coming back.

The servers are terrible and looked like they'd rather be doing anything than their job. Food was average but for the price, it sucked. There was nothing special about it. The wait time was 30 mins or more, I lost count because I was starving. It was my first time there and my last one too. Overall, go to fuzzys that's next door for better food. Save your money and time. Not sure why there are any positive reviews about this restaurant.

This location is fairly new so you would expect it to be clean. Not the case. Very dirty with plenty of staff and to top it off you typically have a server but not here. Never going back.

We were excited to try this new place for lunch on Saturday. We weren't sure how it worked, so we ordered a premade bowl from the menu. We never saw the waiter again until we got our check. The food was just ok. We got a Mongolian bowl and a sesame beef bowl. The meat was stringy and I got a few pieces of gristle. The vegetables and noodles were good. The customer service employees were bored or else could not be found, and the food was not worth the price. My husband did not even finish his food.

Restaurant is open, clean, and has a nice layout. This was my first time trying out Genghis Grill. I wasn't sure where I needed to go to place a to go order and kinda wondered until someone finally assisted me. Placing to go orders are at the bar area and it wasn't very helpful. For my first time I expected a better experience while placing my order as far as my options and how it works. The bartender was friendly but could work on her customer service for first timers. The food was okay and overpriced. I ordered the regular size Chicken Teriyaki bowl with steamed rice. Portion size was good and amount of chicken in the bowl was good too. But it lacked flavor and that is why I did not like my meal. My husband had the Mongolian Steak with fried rice and he really enjoyed his meal with no complaints. I'm not sure I will return to Genghis Grill in the new future. Restaurant is open, clean and service was okay.

I was very dissatisfied with my service first of all we waited for over 30 minutes for a particular bowl that we ordered on the first bowl it was incorrect and we have to go and order again on the second bowl it was incorrect as well the waitress was not apologetic I just said take it off the menu and that's all they did I will never come to this location in Grand prairie and neither will I recommend it again to anyone

Tuesday's the special for 20% off our order wasn't applied because we have a coupon for a free meal. We asked to ring it up separately to get the 20% off the full priced meals. My parents are the ones who ordered and try to save financially where they are able to. They were told they couldn't do that but have done it before. Stop giving folks a hard time, the discount doesn't come out of your check.

I love this location!! Elijah was excellent and very attentive, Any question I had he answered. Valerie the manager was also kind enough to check on me and how everything came out . Very great service here and the food was amazing. They also have awesome drinks. One of my favorite spots to eat from now on. Highly recommend this place

Good food. Their menu is outdated because I wanted to order an appetizer and they told me it was no longer served at the restaurant yet it's still on the menu. The appetizer we did order, the waitress forgot to put the order in for it so we got it after our main meal arrived. When we finished our meal we ordered dessert from the menu , but they did not have that dessert in either.
