Gengs Linde - Restaurant & Hotel Mauchen | Stühlingen

Can’t speak for the rooms, but the restaurant has very good food and interesting dishes. I’ve eaten here twice now and both times was very happy with the meals. The filet dish with mushrooms was particularly good. I would also recommend the salad as a starter. Then deserts, they have a very wide selection of dishes…all look solid!

We visited the area to ski but walked away talking about the wonderful stay we had at Gengs Linde. The room was very comfortable, but the food and service were truly exceptional! So friendly and absolutely delicious meals. Highest recommendation!!

We had a marvelous stay here while visiting from the US,our student exchange host family. The renovations were only 2 weeks new! Beautiful clean room, delicious German breakfast. So quiet w only the sounds of a rooster and church bell and babbling brook. I highly recommend staying here if you want to feel like a houseguest. Danke! (This is the view from our balcony)

I had absolutely one of best experiences. Our expectations were exceeded. Silvia and Christian are wonderful hosts and it is hard to not notice that they put so much effort and love into what they are doing. Everyone there was very friendly, helpful. Maybe that's why there was very homey, cosy, warm atmosphere. Rooms are modern, clean. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Thank you for everything. We would love to come back here again

The hotel is on the basic side, but clean and quite decent. There was some unpleasant smell in the shower, possibly due to old pipes, but no other complaints. Restaurant is very good: tasty dishes and huge portions, be careful not to over order. We came from Switzerland where prices are probably three times for the comparable plates, so didn't expect to get such large servings (just a fair warning). The owners are very nice, definitely recommended.

Surprising to find this level of quality hidden away in a village. But judging by the full car park, it's wellknown locally for excellent food and service, that one would expect from a five star London hotel. The breakfast was a talking point for some time as we continued our journey. It was simply tasty and an overall higher standard. The Bircher muesli was especially light and delicious. I can only imagine the chef is aspiring to his first Michelin grading. Five stars *****

Wonderful experience. Lovely service, clean rooms and the restaurant is just sublime. Original and creative dishes with only quality produce. What a gem for the region.

Good: The hosts are enthusiastic & friendly. The apartment was spacious, modern, clean, new & well equipped – a pleasure to walk into. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. Large kitchen & balcony off the bedroom with rural view. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection and eggs to order. Plenty of on-site parking. || ||Bad: The only issue was that the WiFi signal lost strength – we had to use our computers in the dining/kitchen area, not a big hassle. TV had no English channels.
