More than an hour's drive from a train station, this is certainly off the beaten path, so much so that it's within walking distance of the Austrian-Czech border (unguarded). The service is friendly and very attentive, and the entire experience is redolent of "romance" as if misted daily with heavy doses of some (metaphorical, of course) kind of perfume. The relaxation areas outdoors are a bit crowded and "we" chose not to spend much time in the pool with nude strangers, especially the unshowered ones. Hiking through the nearby forest was more of a pleasure. The kitchen is a bit over the top, as if every meal is competing for some eccentric cooking show award. No choices of any interest were offered for vegetarian or vegan cuisine, since beef, veal, pork and venison were the typical main courses, daily, during a five-day stay. All-inclusive for breakfast and an early supper is misleading since anything from the bar, from a glass of wine to a bottle to a cocktail is an extra tariff. It's a well-kept, kitschy novelty for a night or two, but no more in our opinion. It promises "romance," but needs to learn that that can't be canned or programmed.
