Summer Tastes Like Raw Fish Crudo at These Montreal Italian Restaurants | Eater Montreal

"At this longstanding family-run restaurant, I noticed crudo was added to the menu in June after owner Anthony Gentile tried the dish in Sicily and wanted to replicate those flavours. Their take is a yellowfin tuna dressed with chili, toasted hazelnuts and kale. Chef Nelson Maceira says they adapt with the times while keeping things classic, and the emphasis here is on the texture, the fat and the freshness of the tuna; other ingredients provide minimal bursts so the tuna remains the star rather than being concealed as can happen with tartare. Absolutely loved this café!😍 We tried the pan au chocolat in different flavors, the sfogliatella and the croissant with pistachio and honestly, I’ve never had anything more delicious, it was perfection! The cappuccino was hands down the best I’ve ever had, and the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming that it instantly made us feel at home. We sat outside and the atmosphere was amazing - beautiful music, relaxed vibes and just the perfect setting. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my birthday. 1000% recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, great coffee and an even greater experience!❤️

If you’re looking for a cafe where you can enjoy great coffee and excellent service, this is the place. The cappuccino is magic!!! It starts with a creamy foam, transitions into smooth milk, and then the rich coffee flavor kicks in. Yes! I’m already missing it as I write this review. The pastries are delightful. I could eat them every day. And the staff at the store? They’re truly the best of the best. 1000/10! We tried orange juice, ginseng coffee, and other sandwiches too and all of them were amazing. They made our trip to Sorrento unforgettable. If you don’t visit this place, you’re seriously missing out.

What a beautiful little cafe! We visited here twice whilst we were in Sorrento and loved it both times. We both enjoyed a pistachio croissant each and the pastry was so fresh and flakey. The cafe interior is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! A lovely cafe to have a little breakfast before you enjoy a day of exploring!

I was here with my mom and nephews and we loved it. my mom is difficult to satisfy, but you did. The croissants with cream we ordered were delicious and huge. We had decaf cappuccinos, the foam was like a cloud. We all enjoyed our experience here. Last but not least, the cafe looks very fancy and luxurious.

Visited the cafe a few times during our visit to sorrento. Really enjoyed it and found it reasonably priced compared to other places in the area. We only got cappuccinos and the stuffed croissants 🥐 but can’t complain, food & drink were lovely & staff very attentive

The food tasted good, but in the middle, my croissant with ham and cheese was cold. The employees were very nice and welcoming however the waiting time was a little bit too long. Atmosphere is really nice, overall a very good spot.

Just a few minutes walk from the train station this is a must stop. A beautiful cafe with an AMAZING selection of food and cakes. A proper Italian pit stop or a place to sit and kill some time! Anna was amazing!

We visited this charming cafe in July on our stay in beautiful Sorrento. The food was delicious!!! Shout out to the waitress Anna who spoke English very well and made us feel at home. A definite place to visit on your next stop in Sorrento and it’s just a short walk from the train station.
