The 35 Best Restaurants in Porto, Portugal | Eater

"In a city historically known for its Port wine, the number of good wine bars (with great food) has only recently improved. In a casual, cozy space on Miguel Bombarda Street, known for its art galleries and studios, Genuíno joins the trend with a sharp wine list focusing on organic and natural winemakers, mainly from Portugal, along with comforting yet creative dishes. The menu changes weekly — think veal tongue with celery jus and esparregado (spinach purée); or chayote tempura with amberjack crudo and green apple vinaigrette — as do the wine options. The restaurant recently underwent a renovation, making the space even more comfortable and inviting. Know before you go: Genuíno operates on a fixed seating schedule, so be sure to plan accordingly. You’ll be expected to leave at the end of your allotted time." - Rafael Tonon

Truly a beautiful and memorable dinner experience in Porto. Thank you Arturo for being so kind and genuine to us. The starters plate was delicious, the main plates were all very flavourful and the desserts were excellent. The restaurant’s interior design is also cozy and welcoming which adds to the great experience we had. We will definitely be back on future visits 🫶🏻

We discovered and tried this restaurant through the Rally Fish Experience. So to be fair we didn't really experiment the menu food but the dish they were serving for the experience itself. The dish wasn't pictured accurately, so it was a bit like a downfall regarding our expectations. In terms of flavor it was good, for the 3,50€ - HOWEVER, the staff was not very friendly, it seemed like they just wanted us OUT as soon as possible. Next time just don't participate in the Rally Fish Experience if you're not willing to receive your clients comfortably. The restaurant was basically empty, and they were putting people from the rally Fish outside, dealing with cold weather. The space is fancy, very pretty I must say, and the menu looked interesting, but I appreciate friendly over snobbish.

Absolutely amazing place, the best Italian food we've had in ages! It truly feels like dining in Italy. Great service and excellent wine as well. Highly recommended!

Visited here in a week night, and the place has plenty of seating. The server was very kind and have us the story of the restaurant and made some recommendations. We enjoyed the chefs choice starters, the spinach ravioli and oxtail pasta.

Italian gem in the city! Amazing Franchacorta sparkling wine, stunning appetizer board, and incredible pasta with shrimps! The menu is unconventional but highly gastronomic. What impressed me the most was the attention to every detail, from the quality of the fork and knife to the elegant napkins. Recommend!

Not our first time at this restaurant, we've been quite a few times over the last couple of years and always enjoyed it. Sadly we won't be returning. We both ordered the veal steak with sauce and double cooked potatoes. We got the veal steak and sauce with corn on the cob! When we questioned this we were told "the chef thought he'd try something different" If corn on the cob had been on the menu neither of us would have chosen it. We told the waiter this and sent it back asking for it to come back with the potatoes. We ended up waiting just over an hour for our food. The waiter told us he was 'triggered' by the chef doing this when he finally apologised. When it finally arrived the food was good. Surely if a chef decides to change something so fundamental to the listed menu the waiter should have asked us first if that was ok?

I liked the restaurant, the space is also cozy, but I didn't like the starter, the bruschetta was burnt, and the mozzarella was not original. I found the pasta with clams tasty, but there was very little pasta, and very little sauce with clams, the dessert, the baba, was very original and the coffee was very good.
