Tampa Bay Bars and Restaurants Serving Astral Tequila | Eater

"Did you grow up on sitcoms and listening to the hits on a Walkman? Then you’re in for a nostalgic treat at the Gen X Tavern, where everything from the tube TVs on the wall to the playlist on the stereo brings you back to your ’80s and ’90s glory. Kick back under a mural that blends the era’s favorite characters and bands, and peruse a menu of after-school snacks like fried pickles and corn dog nuggets. Of course, now you can drink more than Sunny D with your fried indulgences, like the Purple Rain, made with Astral Reposado, triple sec, agave nectar, blueberry syrup, and hibiscus." - Matthew Meltzer

Where to Drink Margaritas in Tampa for MargaritaCon | Eater

"Speaking of years gone by, if you ever get a nostalgic pang for the simpler times of the grunge aesthetic and landline phones, pop into GenX Tavern downtown. Relive your rec room glory days while you crush retro video games on a not-so-flat screen TV, then move over to the arcade. There’s also board games, if you feel like fighting with your siblings, plus skee ball, and plenty of prom-worthy music on the stereo. Unlike at prom, you’ll find a full menu of cocktails at GenX Tavern, like the Zodiyak, with Astral Tequila Blanco, cognac, lime, orange, and agave — guaranteed to get you sufficiently amped up for a fun night out." - Matthew Meltzer

Best Tampa-Area Spots For Chardonnay This Memorial Day | Eater

"Nostalgia reigns supreme at this downtown tavern, where drinks with names like “Pump Up The Jam” and the “Espresso Yourself Martini” bring Gen Xers back to their glory days. Even though the food and drinks are named after the ‘90s, their quality is up to 2023 standards, and the “Truffle Shuffle” burger with sauteed onions and mushrooms, truffle oil, and roasted garlic is spectacular for pairing with a Harken. And the “Hellraiser” sandwich – a pinhead-spicy Buffalo chicken sandwich — is definitely worth a try too." - Matthew Meltzer

What a great find! After going to the bar a few doors up selling many different beer options we sat there for ages being ignored at the bar and decided to leave! Then found Gen X tavern! Wish we had found it earlier as we then spent the next two nights of what was left of our holiday from the UK in there, great food and a good choice of drinks, the barman was top notch and on the ball the minute you walk in.

Google
GenX is a SPOT. Good service, I've seen the food, haven't ordered anything, but hearing people to habe ordered, they were happy!!!! A variety of drinks, games, good music 🎶 they do have different nights where they're doing something different with the music and specials.

Went here a couple years ago for my birthday and personally I found it to be a really fun experience, they have all kinds of drinks, we wanted to wake up so we took a shot of this espresso liquor drink, but it had a name, I’m blanking, it definitely woke us up though! Then we got some tots cause you can’t go wrong with tots, they have smiley face fries too! They have cbd infused drinks which are really neat. Definitely relaxed me. But let’s talk about the whole atmosphere of this place. It was buzzin, everyone was friendly, live DJ playing hits from the 80s to the early 2000s, the decor was so cool, I’m born in 1997 but I still resonated with a lot of the decor and music being played. I’m into that stuff more than things from my era. It’s definitely an interesting concept for a bar and they did it well, even the neon lights and the CDs and disco balls hangin fall around really brought it all together. I even recommend that my parents should check it out sometime. They’d love it! Definitely has a cool aura and I’ll be back soon! Thanks for being apart of making my 27th birthday special!

Google
The atmosphere was fun. I like the 80s vibe. However, the food was trash. My Chicken Sandwich was terrible. The chicken was fried too hard. They would not take it off of my ticket. So I recommend if you order anything, just order an appetizer or if you get a sandwich make it a wrap. Also, the drinks were small for the price. This is one place I would not visit again if I were to return to Tampa. The waitress was pleasant and apologetic for the bad food.

Google
If you are a child/teen of the 80s the decor itself is enough to warrant a visit. The beer selection was good and they have a full bar. I had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich and tots, all done well. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Google
If I could give the bar service a rating, it would be “0” Sloppy, distasteful, inappropriate and so unprofessional …bartender / manager Meagan asking to do shots with customers. We were a party of 12. When we arrived, we started at one end of the bar and worked all the way around, trying to make eye contact with one of the 3 bartenders. As we waited we had to witness Meagan (a manager) doing shots, when we finally caught eyes & were able to flag one of them over. They had to complain to one another and flash over looks at us like we did something wrong… sorry just been waiting for drinks. “If you don’t want to service us, we can go elsewhere” I said, and she just walked over to the next customer and said I was inappropriate, “Really?” And doing shots with customers and ignoring paying customers is not inappropriate? I had ordered a round of drinks and was with a party or I would have left the drinks for your bartenders to enjoy. Suited for one person, that’s all the bar tenders can handle; especially if they’re doing shots behind the bar while paying customers wait to order drinks. The air was low, it was hot as hell and the reunion overflow arrived and they begged to please lower the air. Not interested in the unkindness of your bar staff; especially your manager Meagan.

GenX Tavern is an absolute gem in the heart of the city! Their Monday night trivia is a blast — fun, free, and the perfect way to kick off the week. The food is consistently good, and the drinks hit the spot. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere — pure nostalgic vibes from start to finish. Whether you're meeting up with friends or coworkers, it’s a super chill, cool hangout spot where everyone feels welcome. The service is fantastic too! I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a fun night out with a touch of throwback charm!

Google
Exactly what our generation needed. It’s nostalgic and relaxed. The DJ killed-(wished there was a dance floor) Wasn’t crowded and the age of the people ranged from 30’s to 50’s. Dress causal and get ready to play a few arcade games while eating really good food. Drinks were great and the prices were good as well. I will be going back.

Yelp
So had the pleasure of going back in time even if was just for a few hours. A hidden gem in the heart of Downtown Tampa. This place has so many memories for Gen X. From big box tvs to games we enjoyed growing up. The ambiance is definitely well thought of. This tavern is a place if you bring children they can enjoy the games while the adults enjoy a drink . I can't speak of the food for we came just for the drinks/beer. But going on instinct I wouldn't trust the food, me personally. Unless you like tavern food. The staff get caught up listening to the memories of the Gen X. Definitely will be back Kudos to this establishment for holding on to memories that were once a cool thing.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Uhh well that was an experience. Me and my group got here at 8pm. I guess I didn't read the memo that children were allowed here until 9pm. It kinda threw me off. The stage was pretty simple. Monitor and everyone around cheering them on. It's tucked into a corner so not really viewable unless you move to sit by the bar or are in the area. Plenty of seating available from high tops to booths and regular tables. Bar is right in the middle and it's a full bar. Wine liquor and beer are served. The bar is a bit retro themed. There are a bunch of 90s call backs and retro themed games available to play for a fee. Aka basketball, ski ball, darts etc. Service is okay. Mostly saw the servers run drinks to people and the occasional food from the kitchen. I went up to the bar to order. Got a beer and a vodka pineapple. It's in a small glass so expect to be back quite a bit if you're a fast drinker.

Yelp
Update: 3/2. I went back to Genx as it's around the corner from another spot where I was earlier and I definitely had to update based on the much improved experience I had and the positive vibe. It was a Saturday evening and the crowd was very different from my first experience. there were a combination of tourists (near hotels), locals stopping in for drinks before dinner or a show (they are not far from Straz) or just folks like me who wanted a snack and to chill. We were on our way to dinner but wanted a snack and ordered wings and fries along with a couple drinks. As before, both were good. The wings were juicy and crisp. The table nearby had pizza and I overheard them saying it was good. I'll definitely stop in again.
google avatar

Yelp
Met up with a few friends after work for happy hour. They have a good size bar and then several high tops and tables. They have a smaller arcade area and the entire place is 80s decorated and themed. They have a decent happy hour with some food and drink options. All of their well liquors are a local Tampa brand. $6 for a single well not bad. My friend said they also have great lunch specials and draw a pretty big crowd for lunch. We went on a Thursday night and it was not that crowded right after work. We shared the Buffalo chicken dip. Served with plenty of tortilla chips, celery and carrots.

Yelp
Fun, nostalgic feels especially with saying goodbye to some Gen x legends this week. Great service & food, definitely worth checking out if you're a local or in Tampa visiting!

Yelp
Really fun! We went for lunch with friends so we could really taken in all the sights. We walked around because there is a lot of fun stuff to see. Great, creative menu and the food was really good. It's not just bar food either- it's good stuff! Our waitress was so patient and helpful. We really liked the place

Yelp
I always heard of this place but I'd never been! I spent the day downtown recently and decided to stop by. A group of 4 moms who had a free afternoon we had the best time ever! We played games, vibed out to the fun play list, ordered drinks and food! The wings were not my fave but the drinks & vibes are enough for repeat visits over and over! We had a memorable afternoon thank you Gen X for the best time!

Yelp
I went with my husband and in-laws to Gen X Tavern in downtown Tampa. I liked that their bar was lit up. I also really liked their fun atmosphere inside. The bartender was outgoing and fun to talk to. We ordered and shared their "Call Me" Cauliflower with hot sauce which was tasty. We also got their Slider Trio to share, which were also tasty. Overall, pretty good experience! Cool bar in downtown Tampa!
google avatar

Jesy T.

Yelp
Honestly, was really excited to try this place out as it appealed to me for being Gen X themed and just looked like a cool bar to check out. I was quite disappointed to walk in and see kids running around a place I thought was a bar lol! Nothing wrong with that, just not the vibe I was expecting on a Saturday night. I enjoyed the drink I had which tasted like a spike Starbucks pink drink! I loved the decor and even noticed a DJ setting up for the night as I was heading out. Bartenders were really nice and attentive!

Yelp
As for the hype, thought the bar was a decent spot and they had great choices and unique names for it , but not entirely what I thought it would be. Could've just been one of those days where it's just rainy, cold, and affects the mood? But still feel that I would like to come visit with a couple buddies to have some more of their drinks, I enjoyed it and felt it was a good touch to the visit. Parking is all around the city side or in the parking garage next door. Plenty of spaces to choose from , but of course you need to pay. Was about $10 and I was only there for about 45 mins.

Yelp
Cute place. Theme was good and drinks were all on point for the time. We actually stopped in here twice since it was close. By the first time we got some burgers and a couple of drinks the waitress was very pleasant. Went back another night the female bartender was not very friendly and seemed bother with all the customers.
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
This place is so cool and the drinks are reasonably priced as well. Paid $6 for a 3 daughters raspberry code. My boyfriend and I are both 80s/90s babies and nostalgia was totally there. The atmosphere is very chill too! Def recommend to go if in the area! We will be back for sure.
google avatar

Renee E.

Yelp
I stopped in for a drink and bite to eat with friends after happy hour elsewhere. I absolutely love the decor- it's like going back to school but more fun. The food was good, so were the drinks. I'd go back, but probably in the same "already out and about" type way.

Yelp
This bar was located walking distance from my hotel. I went in on Monday because I found out they host trivia and it led to a great spot. The name of the bar is adequate as the bar has all the staples of things kids loved from the 90's to 00's. My favorite is the huge post of the T-Rex from Jurassic Park. They also host karaoke on Wednesdays. I didn't eat that night but went back the next day during the evening for their burger specials. Jamie, the bartender, told me upfront it did not come with a side which was helpful to know. I ordered a side of tots to go with it. The food came out super quickly. I also noticed this on every around me. Their kitchen is extremely efficient. My burger was massive but delicious and filling. I barely got most of my tots down. Highly suggest visiting this bar if you're nearby.

Yelp
First time here. Walked in, not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. Not saying it was bad, it was a pleasant surprise. We sat at bar, initial bartender didn't acknowledge us at all. Second bartender came up and asked us what to drink. She was definitely dressed the part, which we appreciated. Bar had a ton of stuff from the 80's. Brings back memories of being a kid. Made us start reminiscing about the shows we watched as kids. We didn't eat, but had a a couple of drinks. It's a full bar and good mix of beers. Seems like it would be a good time. We just wanted to stop in and check it out. Will come back the next time we are close by. If you are in the city and want to reminisce, stop by GenX Tavern. It will be worth your time to walk around and take in what they have. Will bring back memories!!
google avatar

Moriah L.

Yelp
The theming here is really really cool. The food is pretty good and the drinks are also pretty good. The service is also good. Nothing but the theming is AMAZING at this place so I'd definitely stick with a four star rating. Definitely a spot to check out if you like 80's pop culture because it is EVERYWHERE in here. Super neat spot for a few drinks and some fun snacks (dunkaroos as an app? What?)
google avatar

Lou L.

Yelp
We went here during a really busy time, and seemed like a pretty young crowd! I'm sure I would have loved it in my early twenties. Music was great, food looked good but we didn't try it. Seems like a jammin spot on the weekends.
google avatar

Alicia P.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times - once for a Halloween costume contest, once on a Sunday afternoon after coming from the Sheraton pool deck across the street, once on a date, once with friends while doing a downtown bar crawl, and a few other times. I tend to order just beer here because I don't like the liquor drinks here and I've only had the food once (wings/sliders) and it was OK, I wasn't terribly impressed. What's FUN here is the music and the decor and the games!! OH the games! Skee-ball and the old school arcade games. Bring the right company and you'll have fun, if you appreciate the 80's! And the service is generally friendly as well, which is a big plus.
google avatar

Kristi P.

Yelp
We stopped in since we are Gen X. Great memorabilia like photo booths, tvs, Arcade games, Betamax, pics of all 80s-90s shows, athletes & celebrities. Stuff like that. It was completely dead. We didn't eat here but hubby got a drink & chatted with bartender who was very personable. The floor was VERY sticky like it hadn't been mopped since the 90s.
google avatar

Karissa M.

Yelp
The vibes here are really cool. A lot of 80s-2000s nostalgia with their decoration, arcade games, and menu. It wasn't crowded and the drinks were pretty good. The food was also pretty good but I felt the burgers could've had a little more umph to them. They were also on the small side. The DJ was very mid too. I would come back for the vibes and to have their drinks again.
google avatar

Lara T.

Yelp
This place is not only a bar, but it is a museum for the generation Xers to reminisce about their childhood. They have a cool set up. They had a DJ in the front of the place playing some great dance music, there's a bar in the middle and the service was good. They have a really nice Beer tap list. The best part is the decor. There's just so many references to generation X they also have some fun arcade games as well. Located in downtown Tampa parking is available in a nearby garage or street parking.
google avatar

Audrey W.

Yelp
We came on a Sunday evening, so it wasn't crowded at all. Our friend who recommended this spot said it was packed on Saturday night. I had my 2 little ones (3 & 10 years old) with me, and they were so excited to see the ski ball and basketball games AND even more excited to play some classic board games! Right away, the decor is like a gigantic seek-n-find with all the 80's & 90's references including the menu items. The music, too, was perfectly mixed to bring you right back to your childhood--if you're "of the age," anyway! Plenty of tables and sofas spread out around the place, which makes it perfect for a group dinner or a place to hang out and chill. Service was good. Food was delicious! Wish I had thought to get more pics!
google avatar

Frank M.

Yelp
This place is across from my office. Whenever I want a great burger in area I come here. The bacon cheeseburger has such a nice seer, the bacon has great flavor, great bun, and the fries were perfect. Great lunch spot and soon may have to visit on a weekend.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
We were there for karaoke. We did have fun. Service was good as well. One friend had the fried pickles which were not very good. But very interesting location and great stuff to look at.
google avatar

Yelp
As the name suggests, Gen X Tavern is an explosion of 80s and 90s nostalgia from VHS tapes and tube TVs, to PacMan and Pulp Fiction... it's a cool atmosphere especially with Journey and the rest of the 80s music playing in the background. They sport a pretty robust bar style menu with your typical wings, burgers, handmade pizza, and fries. The names on the menu also are also oozing with 90s nostalgia and everything I tried was pretty yummy. I got the pickle chips and their "Fire That Pigskin" Burger (Varsity Blues reference). First the fried pickles. This is a tough menu item to mess up. It was pretty tasty and seasoned well. The pickles were definitely WAY over fried, but still tasted fine if not a bit dry. I saw other orders of fried pickles come out of the kitchen, and they looked much better. Secondly, the "Fire That Pigskin" burger... this was a single patty smash burger piled high with pulled pork (definitely not cooked in house), onion rings, and Sweet Baby Rays BBq sauce, on Texas Toast (pretty sure previously frozen). This is a massive, greasy, gut bomb and was exactly what I was expecting when I ordered it. It was pretty damn good! They have a solid Happy Hour menu and each day of the week different specials. As for the staff, the bar tender was super friendly and attentive to all customers. I'd definitely be back if in the Downtown Tampa area!
google avatar

Matt D.

Yelp
GenX feels, check! Lots of great memorabilia Service was great, as well as the beer selection. Check! Highly recommend the steak sandwich on the May Specials menu. The best steak Sammie ever! Bacon jam?!? Check! On the down side. The floor was sticky. I don't recommend flip flops 5/5 anyway!

Kelly S.

Yelp
Our company recently held an event at GenX Tavern and we could not have been more pleased with our experience! Management was so easy to work with and accommodated all of our requests, our guests loved the atmosphere, food and drinks, and the entire staff was on it all night long. Would definitely recommend giving this place a visit!
google avatar

Will R.

Yelp
Being a GenX person, I was looking forward to this place. It truly has the bar feel to it, not a restaurant. They have a pretty wide selection of draft beers - both local and national. The menu is interesting. Some items were nice flashbacks to the 80s/90s. I ordered a beer and we got waffle fries to start. My daughter couldn't find anything really healthy to eat and the waitstaff seemed to forget about us. We decided at this rate, we might as well pay the bill and find another place. I definitely want to give this place another try when I'm with my GenX friends.

Alexis K.

Yelp
I came in from out of town and had the most lovely experience with Trinity. She was wonderful and incredibly attentive. Everything she brought to us was absolutely delicious and perfect. Loved my experience here! Will be returning next time :-)

Yelp
It was fun to see all the Gen X memorabilia. The food was good. Service was excellent. I wish it was easier to find parking.
google avatar

Ryan F.

Yelp
We stopped here prior to a show at the straz one Saturday evening. We had seen advertisements on social media and it looked like a cool little place for a bite and a blast from the past. We got the waffle fry nachos, which were amazing, spicy and cheesy and everything you would hope for from a waffle fry appetizer. The wife and I both had general tso cauliflower bowl, which was also delicious. I had a beer and the purple rain cocktail to drink. The atmosphere was lively, with loud music and lots going on. The decor was great, and reminded me of my childhood. Service was good.

Chuck F.

Yelp
I travel a decent amount to Tampa for work. Most recently I was there about a week ago where I went to Gen X for lunch and drinks. I love the atmosphere and the employees seem very nice! More specifically, Trinity was my bartender and to say the least, was a great help to my visit. As I walked in she greeted me in a very welcoming way and happily assisted me with my choice of drink and food. I had a burger there, which I cannot remember the name of exactly but it was fantastic! Trinity served me a few different drinks and each one was delicious. As I come back to Tampa for work, I will definitely be visiting my favorite spot, Gen X and hopefully Trinity will be there!

Yelp
Really cool retro vibe here, nice music and nice servers. The food delivers every time!

Yelp
While I have heard great things & even the reviews were half good - I found it meh for a dinner & night out. The ambiance is great, lots of 80s & 90s memorabilia... maybe would have been more fun later in the evening for drinks. We ordered 2 appetizers & drinks - our waitress really must've had a bad day cuz she was less than happy to be at work... As soon as the appetizers; hot dog nuggets & fried pickles - both good! came she wanted our dinner order, I ordered the happy hour smash burger, hubby got the truffle burger & friends got the chicken sandwich & brisket sandwich. Our burgers were okay. Mine was like a slider size not what I expected... Our friends enjoyed theirs. But we never saw our waitress again... Until we had to find her to ask to pay. To me that ruins an experience- it was not crowded or even busy at all. We played some games & hung out for a bit after... I think it has great potential just missing something to make it great.

Rob C.

Yelp
Not bad, not great. Went in on a Tuesday mid-afternoon. Single employee was running the bar and dining area. Did as well as could be expected for the number of customers. I had the General Tso's bowl. Ingredients were fresh but overall a bit bland.
google avatar

Boon C.

Yelp
Very hip place. Plenty of space to have gathering. There are noisy sections on the front or more quiet place at the back building. This place attracts a lot younger group of customers. I feel old when I am walk in but in the same time I am juvenile myself with the younger group. The bar has cocktails mixologist which can make some cocktails. We got the Happy Buddha Beer, hotdogs nuggets, fire that pig skin burger. This burger is burger week burger. It has Wagyu beef patty top with smoke pull pork and onion ring. It is using Texas toast as bun. Very good burger. They should keep this in their regular menu. The hot dog nuggets just like the Somali corn dog. Come with special dipping sauce. We enjoy our time here at the bar. Service is good because we got all the attention from bar tenders. Food is good and so is the speed to deliver the food to table. The game machines is classic which is fun enough to play.
google avatar

Meghan S.

Yelp
I've been to this bar a few times and if you're a 90's kid you'll love the nostalgia. From gusher shots, super Mario brothers, adult capri suns, and board and card games this place will keep you busy. They have a great drink menu with so many fun and creative drinks. I had the pop rock drink which was really good and went down a little too smooth. I could probably have drank a lot more of them LOL. I definitely have to go back and try some other drinks and food! Gen X is super busy Friday nights . So it may be a little wait at the bar but totally worth it.
google avatar

Teddy A.

Yelp
Happened upon this place and am amazed! First of all the beer selection is excellent, the Caribbean wings, the grilled cheese are all awesome! I came here with 2 other people and we shared several items and will be back.
google avatar

Desirae L.

Yelp
Super cool environment. Loved all the nostalgia. Way too loud and overstimulating for it being more of a restaurant environment, we found a much quieter side on the other side of the wall from the bar so we could hear our group. Food was delicious but very small portions for the price- we got the peanut butter solution burgers, 10/10 for taste. When I took the bun off the burger was so small I thought they forgot to even add it under the jam concoction. The adult caprisun was cute and delish, though. Lots of board and arcade games. It was fun and maybe a good once in a while experience.
google avatar

Loni M.

Yelp
Gen X always a brings me back to the 90's! As a 90's baby this place definitely has nostalgia written all over it and I love it! The decorations are so detailed with memories that we are always pointing out things on the wall or in the restaurant that we remember. It's usually a seat yourself situation but we never had a problem finding seats. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is always good as well. Their menu is also very nostalgic and I can't find mini corn dogs anywhere else! One thing I will say though is that for a restaurant/bar that opens until late the kitchen closes a little early. Like around 9:30 they were taking last requests. But nevertheless, I enjoy my time here and will definitely be back in the future!
google avatar

Nicolas L.

Yelp
I recently visited Gen X Tavern for lunch and tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The soft bun was filled with tender chicken in a crisp breading and topped with flavorful blue cheese crumbles and lightly spicy buffalo sauce. The sandwich was paired with savory seasoned waffle fries. The menu is massive and full of bar food. I will need to visit for drinks and/or during a sporting event.
google avatar

Elle E.

Yelp
You'll be instantly transported back in time to the 80s, with the decor and dj. Really cool concept and they've done a great job transforming this into what we grew up with (console tvs, cabbage patch kids, connect four, etc). The mini corn dogs were a fitting late night indulgence.
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
I mean it's ok. The place is very cool. It does have that nostalgia vibe that you'd expect at a place called "gen x". The service is a little weird. They tell you to seat yourself. Easy enough right? But after sitting for a while, to my surprise, the staff around starting hanging signs on the walls that said to go to the bar for service... I wish I knew that 15 minutes prior to the staff meme communicated this to me by sticking that sign right next to my table. Very nice.. Ordering at the bar was easy enough. They have 7 menus through their QR code though. 7 menus. I went back to my table after ordering from the bar and was told I couldnt sit there because they were reorganizing the layout... Yeah, so anyways, the food is ok but there were a lot of staff to keep me waiting around the way I was. Neat novlety, pretty below average service. You need to be in the mood for plain food with decent beers and a neat atmosphere because you certainly don't come here to be treated well.

Yelp
The actual worst place I've ever been to. Sure, it was the day before St Patrick's Day. But it was also 5pm. We couldn't get a single persons attention to order food. The noise levels were insane. Probably more people than what is safe to allow into an establishment of that size, honestly. We even tried to order online and couldn't complete it because the online ordering was missing items. We left. Better planning would benefit this place. A few doors down was a completely different experience. I would have expected that at 2am, not 5.

Yelp
Love this place! Was expecting another overpriced downtown theme bar. Just came in so the kids can play games. Wow cool cocktails and beers on tap. That was good let's try an appetizer. Great chicken dip! Let's order fried pickles and mini corn dogs. Solid. Kids are having a blast. Dad's watching football. Tell mom to meet us here. We're staying for dinner. Burgers were excellent! The whole family loved this place. Clean, cool atmosphere, and the best part was the service. Everyone was friendly and hard working. Especially Megan the bartender! Welcomed from the moment we got there. Took such good care of us and everyone else in the place.

Yelp
Finally tried this place and wasn't disappointed! I'm a total 90s kid so this restaurant was a complete nostalgic experience. From the drink menu to the video games, it all brought back a simpler time. Food & Drink: lots and lots of options. Even a shot menu! All drinks were around the same $10 price point so don't expect to have a cheap meal. The buffalo cauliflower was to die for and the wings were fabulous. Parking: many garages around and a few street parallel parking spots out front. Dress: casual! It's the 90s! Seating: couches, bar seating, tables, high tops, lots of stops! Other: Because of covid, the wait staff was one person out front and one person (the manager) cooking and/or running food. I felt so bad for our bartender/waiter but he handled 6 tables & one party of around 12 people like a champ. The timeliness is the only thing I docked a star from. I think management needs 2 people on at least to help this poor guy out.

Yelp
This was my first time here and honestly when they told me we were going to an 80's/90's themed karaoke bar I cringed but was pleasantly surprised. The ambience is cool, even seeing magazines from the 90's taped on the bathroom stalls. If you're feeling nostalgic this is definitely a place to visit. I stuck with beer because I wasn't sure how well this place could do a cocktail but two people I was with both ordered martinis and said they were good but a bit too much on the dirty side. The food was really good for bar food. I did love that most of the people that showed up for karaoke came dressed in genre gear and everyone was supportive of those that got up to sing. A lot of positive vibes and a fun place to hit when you're in Tampa.

Yelp
Still a cool place that is becoming one of my "go-to" places. It deserves to be closer to the Riverwalk. Since my first visit, I've also tried... Buffalo cauliflower: spicy and deceivingly crispy like you would expect from buffalo wings Toasted ravioli: very crispy and the cheese never seems to end; it's almost like an upgraded fried mozzarella Salted chocolate chip cookie: the cookie is huge and delicious. The salt doesn't add anything to the flavor (it's not enough to make an impact for a true sweet/salt combo and you probably don't want a lot of salt of a cookie anyway). It feels like an unnecessary intake of salt. If possible, I would ask to have it unsalted. On my most recent visit, my family was watching the football game without sound and someone (possibly the manager) noticed we were engaged in the game and turned on the sound without us asking. I really appreciated that and it was one of the things that made my family from out of state enjoy their visit to Tampa.
