Man, this is the spot, the music and vibes are perfect. Old school back in the day esthetics and a dope DJ playing while you sip on you morning coffe and eat some awesome French toast, burritos, burgers, or chilaquiles. The food variety is great, and let me tell you the staff is super friendly, very responsive, and constantly making sure you got everything you need or top you off with more coffee. I can't wait to come back, I hope everyone tries this place it's worth 100 stars if it were up to me 10 stars ain't enough to rate this place, it's also super clean, and a great mom and pop kinda joint.

First time visiting George’s Cafe. Our server was awesome, she asked if I cared for coffee after we sat down and were handed the menus. My son got the Pastrami burger with garden salad and ranch dressing. I chose the short stack pancakes and we shared the chicken tenders and fries. My son said he liked the Pastrami burger although it just had a little too much mustard. The pancakes were light and fluffy with a pat of butter and lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. The chicken tenders looked overcooked but they were actually seasoned well, the breading was crunchy with juicy white meat. It is a relaxed casual dining place, wheelchair accessible, with patio seating, adequate parking and clean restrooms.

Looked up a quick breakfast place that we could pick up and it didn’t disappoint. Everything tasted amazing. Normally you sort of expect salty with bacon and sausage but no this was perfect! Went with the basic 2+2+2+2 and a French toast breakfast. Even my picky coworker truly enjoyed the meal. So we will definitely be coming back and trying more of the menu. Owner helped us out and was very kind. Our food was ready when we arrived. Can’t wait to go back. Doesn’t hurt that it’s very cute inside.

I came early morning and ordered a Cafe de Olla and a Veggie Omelette. Both were just okay-typical coffee and breakfast. Service was mildly slow because they only have 1 male server working in that morning. And their customer started to pour in at 08:45 am. I can see he’s struggling taking orders. I almost wanted to assist the male server and I start taking customers’ orders and inquiries. Atmosphere was good. Prices were fair that reflects the quality and quantity of the food or drinks offered. Staff were competent and affable. Overall, this cafe is modest that offers a Mexican home cooked meal. I think there are area in their business that can be improved.

Took my mom here for breakfast and the murals were immaculate. The food was delicious and the service was fast, attentive and so kind. It was such an amazing place to eat with my family.

Cozy, clean and delicious! Staffed by only two yet our food was out fast. I had the ultimate burrito, son had the ultimate omelet, wife and daughter had the French toast combo. All meals were excellent. Their green salsa was perfectly light for a breakfast meal.

Traveling from Texas and found George’s on chatgbt. Loved the place. Great (fresh) food. Awesome service and attitude. There was a DJ who played fantastic music. So happy to have started the day here.

This is the place I have a great time. The food quality is second.To none the prices are reasonable. The movie theme, a blood and blood out is fantastic. Making the atmosphere second to none. This great diner is in west covina, on vine a half a block east of glendora. I totally recommend, and we'll be returning again and again

George's Cafe is hands down one of the best spots in West Covina. The service alone deserves five stars. George himself took the time to talk with us and made us feel completely at home. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and immediately sets the tone. The food was excellent. I had the pancake combo and my son ordered the cheeseburger--both were fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Even the ranch was standout. George then offered samples, which honestly sealed the deal. I don't like seafood at all, but the clam chowder was unbelievably good. And the biscuits and gravy? No exaggeration--the best gravy in the area. Nothing else comes close. The décor is another highlight. The Blood In Blood Out theme throughout the café is very cool, especially seeing the murals on the walls signed by actual cast members who have visited. It gives the place a unique character and makes it feel like more than just a café--it's an experience. Amazing food, amazing service, and a welcoming atmosphere. This is officially my new go-to spot for breakfast and lunch. Next visit, I'm trying the country fried steak and the chicken fettuccini. Highly recommend.

So this mid morning brunch, my son wanted to do a mom/son breakfast after he worked out. Ok, I said let's go to George's cafe. We walked in, the DJ was there again and I guess they have a speaker inside and outside-in the patio. Loud, not even a comfortable, have a conversation loud. Really loud!! So we waited and waited, finally George came out asked our drink order and said the waitress would be right out. So we waited some more. In the mean time it was chili out, we asked George if he can turn up the heater. Well, propane was out, so he went to get another tank which was cool. Nice and toasty now.. We both ordered cafe de olla which came out hot, but it was very sweet with nothing added but creamer half/half. We ordered and our food came out quickly, I ordered the chilaquiles with no onions. My son a steak and eggs breakfast. No pictures this time, but my son chomped his plate down. I had requested light sauce and crunchy chips. The plates were a good serving, but my chips were soggy so ate the potatoes and a little egg and I was done. We waited and waited more, so I guess they forgot about us. My son went inside to ask for more coffee and a small order of pancakes. The service was slightly off, the food was good, but the music...Ayyy, too tooooo loud! Perhaps if the DJ turns the speakers towards him, he would hear the volume for himself. Will definitely come back on another day, not Sunday!!

I've heard so much about this place- my friend and I stopped by to try it out- First impression is always important- Place was empty and it was minutes before lunch time- place itself was clean but seemed to be too much going on- place filled with murals and pictures of actors from the movie Blood in Blood out and 50's music playing. Waitress seemed to be the only one working I overheard her say she was the owners sister. She came by and explained that all their drinks were bottled only- including water- Menu itself was large with a wide variety except not enough Mexican food. It's primarily American food. I ordered chicken fried steak with eggs over easy- when plate was brought to table eggs were clearly overcooked - more like eggs overcooked. Oh and I was told my plate did NOT come with toast I can order it separately. Almost every restaurant I've been to offers toast with chicken fried steak. My friend thought his burrito was "ok" I asked him what he thought of the place and he said it's not at all what he expected. As I was leaving I noticed a sign they will be having a meet and greet with one of the actors from blood in blood out. They are charging $10 Like whaaaat?? Does those $10 include food ? Welp honest opinion.. I doubt we will be back.

George's Cafe in West Covina deserves every bit of five stars! The inside has such a throwback to 80-90s homie style, welcoming vibe, but it's also really beautiful and cozy at the same time. I ordered the waffle country fried steak and it was incredibly soft, tender, and comforting--perfectly cooked and easy to eat. The potatoes were exactly how breakfast potatoes should be: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The French toast was also amazing--golden, flavorful, and perfectly indulgent. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to! The service was great super friendly.

My daughter and I found this place looking for breakfast. Definitely different didn't expect a themed cafe but it was cool. Especially if you're into this sort of genre. Lots of movie vibes great murals though out the restaurant We were greeted right away by a gentleman and sat inside wasn't to busy Gave us the menu we ordered our drinks Looked over everything and decided what we would have I got the vegetables omelette added avocado portion was a good size and my daughter got the chilaquiles burrito it was on the smaller side, Food was good service was good was a bit expensive but I would recommend this place for breakfast.

Found Georges cafe while on my morning dog walk. I was greeted by the server and she took me out to the patio to find a table. Many good selections on the menu for breakfast and i opted for the weekday special of sausage breakfast tacos. It comes with 3 scrambled egg and sausage tacos and a side of green chili salsa for 10.95 . It was just the right size and tasted great! I also ordered a coffee, but unfortunately it was luke warm, even when she topped it off. Service was fantastic! I got my tacos within 5 minutes of order.The walls are airbrushed with colorful Latino culture artwork. I'll come back to try more of the menu.

My family and I had breakfast here for our first time with my mentor it was a lovely and whole experience-- the waitress was so honest and kind with the recommendations. The food was dank; I ordered the menudo and Benedict. I appreciate the environment and the hospitality! It's worth the try and wait! Thank you, we will be back here

My daughter and her boyfriend treated me a nice post Christmas breakfast. I had the la Mexicana omelette with side of beans and rice, just the right size serving which I'm thankful for after a Christmas get together the night before with plenty of food.

George's Cafe serves satisfying, fresh breakfast food. I ordered the Country Fried Steak ($17.50). The order includes potatoes, two eggs (any style), fried steak, and country gravy (on the side). Food came quickly. I arrived on Tuesday (8:30AM); the order took seven minutes. The country fried steak is delicious! It's lightly battered. The crust is subtly sweet, and the thin meat is hot and flavorful. It's not greasy. Rather, the portion is filling. Next, the potatoes are fresh and tasty; it's crispy outside and soft inside. Yum! The country gravy is also comforting and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, the eggs (I selected scrambled) are underwhelming. The scrambled eggs are salty, flat, mushy, and small. Regarding the location, George's Cafe is very clean. It's well ventilated, and the server is friendly and helpful. For example, the server had forgotten that I chose scrambled eggs; however, when asked, he immediately apologized and quickly fixed the order. [George's Cafe Notes] 1. They do not serve water cups; customers must buy a water bottle for water. 2. Bring cash; there's an additional fee (3.25%) for cards. 3. Parking is limited; the lot is small. Overall, George's Cafe is surprisingly tasty and fresh. The Country Fried Steak and its potatoes are memorable and satisfying. Delicious!

El Mero, Mero Burrito is the best I've ever had ever ever!!! Super delicious. The Breakfast Croissant was so fresh!, The purple onion gave it so much flavor. It was so good! And filling! The service was pleasant the restaurant vibe its like you time travel back to the 70's chicano! I will most definitely be telling everyone I know about this place! God bless them!

Came to George's Cafe on Saturday around 11:30 am with a party of 8. We were seated and helped right away. Everyone enjoyed their food and had no complaints. We will come again!

I went Sunday morning. The waitress did an amazing job. She did explain everything to us specially because it was our first time. The food was delicious. The menudo. Was tastety. It was worth it even if they serve their drinks in bottles n cans no free water I didn't mind ! The place is clean n I like that the owner comes out n checks on the tables to ask if we were ok the murals are beautiful definetly coming back

My boyfriend and I came in this morning for breakfast and were greeted quickly by a gentleman who seemed to be both serving and waiting tables. We ordered the French Toast Combo with a side of house potatoes, and the 2 by 4 Pancake Combo. I asked for my eggs scrambled specifically (since I'm pregnant and avoiding raw foods). The food came out fairly quickly, but my eggs were served sunny side up instead of scrambled. The staff fixed it right away, which I appreciated, but my plate had raw egg residue from the original eggs. On top of that, I wasn't given the "2 eggs" listed on the menu for the combo. My side of house potatoes never arrived, and while we made sure not to get charged for them at the end, it was disappointing. What stood out most was the service -- once the eggs were "fixed," no one came to check if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. At one point, the server sat down to eat his own food while we were still waiting, and since there was no one else in the restaurant besides the cook, it left us feeling unattended. The ambiance itself is nice -- it has a cool, old-school Chicano vibe that we really liked. Unfortunately, the service issues overshadowed the atmosphere. We had been excited to try this place based on reviews, but realistically, we won't be returning.

I never been to this place until Thursday. I been wanting to try chilaquiles but I see people doing them with tortillas chips from the grocery store instead of doing them fresh. So I finally tried them they were delicious. This cafe has the cast from the movie blood in blood out in murals all over. They so nice. This cafe is so close from where I live. So whenever you want to eat breakfast or lunch stop by here trust we will like it like I did. Oh yea one more thing some the cast had showed up and sign their pictures. The owner of this place is very friendly and nice. We had a great conversation with him. They play oldies music.

Food was good. Had the French toast. Coffee was delish. Mary my server was wonderful. Will definitely go back at least once a week now that I have been there. Can't wait to try the lunch menu.

I wasn't expecting the food to be as bomb as it was ..I had a breakfast burrito but asked if they could put carne asada in it andake it wet my daughter had the sausage breakfast burrito and it was I gotta say 9/10 .. The two waitresses were kind attentive and all about business the place is a cool vibe with posters from blood in blood out definitely recommended this place ..I just wish they had cheesecake inside joke... great place !!!

I'm still chasing the best country fried steak and this one is right up there! Delicious gravy. Perfectly cooked fried steak and the batter was also delicious. I'd say this is my favorite so far!! The veggie omelette was a bit of a disappointment. The egg was good but as far as veggies it was only mushrooms and peppers. Where's the spinach?? And waaaaay too much cheese. We would've ask for light or none at all. Ended up scraping it out. But service was good and the place had a good out of people coming and going. We will definitely be back!!

1st time here. Had to come check it out after Tik Tok clip. The place is clean and love the art. Breakfast; chilaquiles green were very tasty. Hubby had huevos rancheros also good tasting. The best part they were rockin great music! Definitely coming back

First time coming here love the customer service. They were very friendly. The food is amazing. They do have breakfast lunch and dinner and I love the atmosphere. The whole blood in blood out. Theme is super cool. Really recommend this place come and check them out.

It was our first time trying this spot for brunch this past Sunday. I believe the restaurant maybe be under new ownership or at the very least, newly remodeled. They have an old LA street gang theme to it, think of Blood In Blood Out movie. For brunch we sat on the patio, which was nice, also decorated with the theme. There was a TV outdoors also playing one of those movies. I felt personally especially with it being Sunday, maybe show football to break it up a little bit. They also had a DJ on the patio playing records, Oldies, like old Art Laboe songs. While the live music was a nice touch, again I felt a little overwhelmed by the theme. We ordered breakfast. My husband had a pancake combo and I the tri tip burrito. The food was good, flavorful and served with breakfast potatoes, which were delicious. Price wise roughly $16/plate. The part that I didn't care for was there are no fountain drinks. The drinks, including water and juice, are all cans and bottles with no refills. They do bring you out a cup of ice; however, I feel at the very least, a restaurant should offer their patrons water free of charge. And to that same respect, the drinks were not cheap. If I'm not mistaken, a can of soda $2, a bottle of juice $3, a bottle of water $2. I'm not sure if that's something they're working on getting but it was a negative for me personally.

I have to start of by saying the host she's very friendly and understanding I had ordered a tea and I forgot I can't have Caffeine and mentioned I needed to swamp it and with out hesitation she accommodated not only that but the food service was fast and very flavorful and good the way we were also greeted from start to end was amazing never felt more welcome any were else , ambience was all awesome love that it's dedicated to blood in blood out one one my favorite movies growing up I would totally be coming again thank you George cafe and staff

Visited for the first time this morning with friends and met Jorge the owner who was very welcoming. My chilaquiles burrito was delicious! Sat outside in the patio as it was a gorgeous day...Jorge even set up a fan for us for comfort. The coffee was delicious and a special treat! Thank you again.

Found this spot on google! It's definitely a yes! The food was delicious! Customer service is definitely a priority for them. (Clean restroom) I wish we could've sat outside, but it was full. Loved the homeboy mural and oldies playing in the background. And know he didn't! our server brought us a complementary piece of cheesecake! you got to try this place if in the area.

This café is located directly off of a main street in a fairly inconspicuous spot. Very nice indoor and outdoor seating areas. It wasn't extremely crowded, but all of the tables were taken. Two tables finished up right he as we were seeking to sit so no issues there. After placing our order, the food arrived more quickly than expected. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, the food was very good. I especially loved the burritos. The entrees were filling and everyone left full and happy. My two main concerns had to do with the bill. 1. They charge a 4% credit card fee, and the only alternative payment option to avoid that fee is to use cash. Nobody really carries cash anymore, and I certainly don't carry $100 worth, which is what I wouldn't needed for my family of five. 2. At the time of packing our order at the counter, the cashier tried to push their refrigerated drinks on us, but we didn't want soda or iced tea so I asked for five waters. It wasn't until I reviewed my bill that I noticed that they charged me $2.50 for tap water. This is a very tacky approach to running up checks. The bathroom was dirty.

I give this place a 4.5 primarily on service and freshness of food Let me explain So, I went on Tuesday around 10:30 and there wasn't one customer there. Which is typically a bad sign haha but the reviews and pics of food looked good so we gave it shot I ordered the avocado breakfast burrito and my mom got the patty melt with fries The burrito was solid. It wasn't bursting with flavor and one could say that the burrito was under seasoned. However, the eggs, potatoes, and avocado did taste fresh. They only had green salsa that came with it and it wasn't as flavorful either but it worked. Everything tasted fresh and recently made Mom said that this was one of the better patty melts that she's ordered and gave it a 8/10 which is good for her haha The fries were fresh and crispy with nice seasoning The vibe was pretty amazing. I would love to come back just for the vibe alone. They have an inside and an outside patio that's nicely shaded and decorated Also i love the authentic small business vibe that they had. They had old school pictures and oldies music on, and the service was very personable. The cook helped us at first and then the waiter finished the job taking care of my mom and me. Everyone was polite and the waiter was a cutie with an easy going vibe about him I definitely recommend coming here and checking this place out

We like to support our local businesses, so we picked this place, had good reviews and it's a local business. Small dining area, with an outdoor patio area available. Menu was extensive, serving everything from breakfast to pastas. We choose two breakfast burritos, one with sausage and the other, avocado burrito, along with a coffee and a can soda. The one guy taking the order and cash at the counter was nice and friendly, the problem is when he delivered our food to our table. Both burritos were small, very underwhelming. Now I've had breakfast burritos on the small side before, but they were priced accordingly, $8 to $9, respectively. This place charged $13 to $14, for that price, they need to throw a little extra something in that tortilla, or maybe a side of hashbrowns?? The taste was ok, egg, sausage and a few potatoes, your standard sausage and egg breakfast burrito. The main factor was that we paid $34 and were still hungry when we left, so 2 stars from me.

Food wasn't good, came because I saw so many good reviews, ravioli was very hard it needed more time in the boiling pot, my burger was cold, pancakes were tasteless, they also charge for water ???? Service was good, they just got our order wrong.

Very disappointed in this restaurant, restaurant hasn't even close yet, has an hour left before it closes. The lady in front that help me ask the boss in if I can sit and order. He hesitated and then said no, to go order only. Two others walked in and left also. Turning away customers. I didn't want to order to go cause my food would have been cold the time I get back home. I'm sure the food is amazing, poor customer service

George's Cafe is a local small business tucked away in a very small plaza along Vine Ave. Parking is very limited in front of the store, but parking is available along the street. Dining in and out are options. They offer a good variety of breakfast/brunch items in their menu. Prices are about comparable to other local breakfast/brunch eateries. 3.5 stars but rounding up for good service. Popped into George's Cafe on a Thursday mid-morning for brunch. Order at the front before finding a seat. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We personally enjoyed sitting in the covered outdoor patio. The gentleman who took our order also delivered our food and came around refilling water cups and taking our plates when done. Great service. French Toast Combo ($12.50): 2 pieces of halved French toast sprinkled with powdered sugar + a side of maple syrup, 2 eggs (cooked to your liking), and 2 strips of bacon. Personally think the price for this combo is a bit stiff since the two halves of french toast is only one full piece of bread. Bacon was a bit overcooked and burnt on the edges. Denver Omelet ($14.50): - 3 eggs scrambled with peppers, onion, ham & cheese; served with a side of toast and breakfast potatoes. Definitely more worth it than the french toast combo as portion size was great. The potatoes were tender, flavorful, and delicious - especially with a little side of ketchup. Tuna Melt ($12): - Sourdough bread stuffed with melted American cheese and lots of tuna and a side of fries (or fruit). This sandwich had sooo much potential but the tuna had a heavy heaping of salt included. The fries weren't seasoned equally and the top parts were also heavily salted and peppered. Not sure if the tuna is pre-mixed but I'd definitely ask for light salt in the sandwich and fries. George's Cafe is located in a small plaza next to a grocery store/pupusa restaurant combo. Limited parking spots within the plaza but there seems to be ample amounts of street parking available.

It's crazy how I never stopped by to try their food. And to my surprise the art on their wall man priceless. I felt like I was at East LA. I like to support small businesses y mas cuando es la raza. The owner was so nice came over to talk to us and told us every 3 months they have someone over to meet and greet. Food was good and the service was good too. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Brunch food is my favorite, so I was thrilled to discover this gem near my house. The portions were generous and both plates were super filling. We ordered the chorizo burrito and the 2+2+2+2 combo. They forgot to include bacon in my boyfriend's combo, but as soon as we mentioned it, they promptly brought out bacon and even added extra for us. The service was quick and attentive, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The only downside was the price; at about $40 for the combo and the burrito, it felt a bit overpriced, especially since you can find similar meals for less elsewhere. Despite the cost, the food was delicious, and the excellent service made up for it! :) we'll be back soon to try more on their menu

The vibe when we walked was super calm they were coming and attentive, checking in often. The food was ABSOLUTELY delectable 10000000000/10 I'm not one for breakfast burritos but this place really turned me around. And what can I even say about the French toast the first bite was like heaven l! And I have to say the decor is beautiful I had to take a photo! I hope to come again soon with my father :)

Great tasting food! I can taste the quality ingredients in every bite! The menu has great variety which I love because we are a family of four with two picky boys and they love it here. We can all eat something we like and enjoy! Breakfast was great and the pasta was delicious too! Ambience is great. We like the outside patio. The owner is very attentive with great customer service skills. It was a hot day and he made sure we had cool air outside. Very friendly! When you walk out from George's cafe, you feel like a valued customer who was just served a delicious meal! You can taste the love put into the food!

SMALL portions not worth what you pay. French Toast 3 triangle slices. 2 sausage. Looked like 1 egg.. The food was tasty. GO elsewhere. Especially if you want more serving. Did not have water to offer customers. Had can coke products.

This place is amazing. I went in for breakfast and I got a greek omelette, a side of pesto, and a side of strawberries. The food was AMAZING. I definitely will be back. A lady at the front took my order and she was so so sweet. I definitely will be back here. The inside looks pretty cool too I like it. Definitely give this place a try!

I have ordered here twice ( uber eats ) and I been there once. And let me tell you, will not order from Here again. The two times I ordered , I got the pancake combo. On the menu it says powdered sugar , both times the pancakes came with no powdered sugar. Then I asked for extra syrup and only got one! Both times! Although this may be small but it's sooo frustrating when you expect and ask for something small and they still don't come through! And when I called to complain , no answer. So will not be ordering from here

The food is good but not a great value. Burritos are pretty small and overpriced especially since they're mostly made of potato. This place gets packed for some reason. You order at a cashier, pay, and then sit and wait for your food. I ended up paying more here than at another traditional brunch spot serving bigger portions and with waiter service. Overall, the place is clean but small.

My veggie omelet was made with fresh ingredients and the service was great! I was a bit surprised they charge for bottled water when you ask for water.

This is a lil hidden gold mine. If your a burrito fan, they are amazing! The pancakes are fluffy and the biscuits n gravy are out of this world. Fresh homemade ingredients. Give it a try, you will not regret it!
