"Going far beyond the standard smoked meat platters, the Georgia-born gents who run this Longmont staple (with outposts in Greeley and Frederick) get creative with their ’cue, serving everything from pulled pork and chopped chicken to brisket and smoked turkey atop nachos, fries, tater tots, baked potatoes, mac and cheese, salads, and tacos as well as in elaborate sandwiches. It’s an occasion for gluttony for sure — but no feast here is complete without a side of sweet potato casserole and banana pudding for dessert." - Rebecca Treon, Eater Staff, Nisa Sedaghat, Ruth Tobias

Came here with some friends. Nice place with a laid back vibe. The staff was prompt and got us seated right away. It was such a nice day that we decided to sit outside with others. Definitely a nice outdoor space. Parking was a little tight but manageable. The food was delicious, the ribs were tender, meaty and delicious, I did not even want to put any BBQ sauce on them. Did end up trying the BBQ sauce and it was good. The burnt ends were good but a little fatty. Fries were crispy but not over done and seasoned perfectly. The toast on the other hand…. Well we just leave that alone. The nachos did not disappoint but I would have to say it needed a little more meat. Everyone in our group said the food was delicious and they would definitely come back and suggest this place to their friends and family. Someone said it was pricy but, what isn’t any more, at least you know you’re getting good food. Give it a shot, what else do you got to lose, besides money. :).

This place was on my saved list to try when in Longmont and we were there over a weekend and decided to try it on a Friday night (6/20/25). It was a warm summer day, but the sun was going down and wanted to enjoy the outside patio area. Living in the ATL and having UGA-fan family members, it was interesting to hear the story of these two Georgia boys meeting in Athens and deciding to open a BBQ joint in CO (smart move!). We got the Half Sampler that feeds 2-3 people where we got pulled pork, brisket (still had burnt ends!), maple bourbon pork belly and hot links with mac n' cheese, okra, sweet potato casserole, fries (daughter's choice) and Texas Toast. I had heard the sweet potato casserole was delicious (and it was), but all the sides knocked it out of the park. This and the best BBQ I've had in CO made this place a top spot to visit anytime I'm back in Longmont. There was enough to have another meal the next da and it was still good. Don't go to the chain Dave's when driving through the town and stop by this excellent joint. Go Dawgs!!

Google
In comparison to some of the other BBQ joints in the Boulder/Longmont area this is a hit. Not everything is wow amazing but there are for sure standouts. For one, the maple pork belly is WOW like WOW. Could not get enough of it. The sweet potato casserole was absolutely delicious not too sweet so you couldn’t taste the sweet potato but baby this was still dessert. Last but not least, the BBQ beans were MEATY- you never realize how people are often skimping on the meat in beans until you’re finally given some. One thing I would ask for a is a hot/spicy BBQ sauce on the table but the Carolina mustard sure was flavorful that was a nice touch you don’t see too often

Google
Florida boy here to give his opinion of this fine BBQ establishment. 10/10 recommend. Service, atmosphere, and food all top notch. I had the pimento pork sandwich with bacon and it was phenomenal. Friends had ribs and brisket, again, amazing. Sauces and sides were some of the best I've ever had. Don't miss the chance to come here if you're in the area and hungry.

Google
Great place! My wife and I had them cater our wedding 1.5 years ago and we came back for this Christmas season to have some more..still amazing as 1.5 years ago! Our waitress was great. Thank you Madi! My wife has Celiac, and they have great food options for those who need strict GF food.

Google
12 hours from home and wanted to try something new. Georgia boys is where we ended up and WOW, did not disappoint. Tennessee sticky pig is a must, every sauce hit. Burnt ends are 💯, chicken, turkey can not be beat. Sides were better than normal but nothing super special. Will be making another trip before heading home to try some brisket and ribs.

Google
These folks know what they are doing in that kitchen and the service is stellar. The sweet potato casserole is a MUST! Honestly all the sides are great and don’t even get me started on the Maple Bourbon Pork Belly 🤤. I’m gunna be a regular here and so should you!

Stopped by for restaurant week dinner, and overall was a bit disappointed. It was whiskey Wednesday (which is a killer deal), so I ordered a nice Blanton's old fashioned (higher end whiskey). I was disappointed to see that the old fashioned was just poorly made. They used soda-machine ice, a full slice of orange, sugar wasn't dissolved, and overall it just turned out sloppy and sub-par (see picture). Also, at one point we received a completely different cocktail than what we had ordered. The sampler platter for two was plenty of food, and I liked everything on the plate. The sweet potato was fantastic, and my fav meat was probably the classic pulled pork. However, it's worth mentioning that the food was not hot when it came out. I'm not too picky with that so it was fine, but other people may be upset.

Yelp
This is the only BBQ I've found in the state over the past 11 years that is actually good. The burnt ends have that crunch and yet melt in your mouth. The ribs are super meaty. The cost was much cheaper than any BBQ I've found in Denver and the drinks were incredible. Our bartender was definitely a pro and the place was very clean and comfortable. I'll be back every time I'm in the area no doubt.

Yelp
I'm a little confused about all the good reviews here. We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch excited for some bbq. We ordered: Burnt end nachos - the burnt brisket was good! However, the queso was not the best. We added some of their sauces and it made it a little better. We also got the half platter: - full slab of ribs: dry and no flavor - pork belly: overcooked and no flavor - pulled pork: tasty! - hot links: not spicy and no flavor either. Tasted old too. - Mac and cheese: the cheese sauce was so watery - bbq beans: spiced up canned beans - garlic broccoli: frozen broccoli - citrus Cole slaw: it had to have been at least 3 days old. - tater tots: well fried and seasoned! To recap, some okay items but we just didn't enjoy ourselves, unfortunately. The server was very nice and helpful and the vibe of the place is casual and laid back. Maybe it was just an off outing.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Georgia Boys. I will say I was thoroughly impressed by my experience though. Our group started out with the Sticky Pig which was delicious. Our server recommended it as a favorite of hers. For my main entree I ordered the double with brisket burnt ends and hot links. I got the garlic broccoli and Mac and cheese as my side switch the double. I think I preferred the broccoli to the Mac and cheese, but that is likely more a testament to my love of garlic than anything. The brisket burnt ends were really good too. Very tender! I liked the hot links but almost prefer a hot link with a little more kick. The sweet heat sauce was a solid barbeque sauce for me too. I unfortunately was too full for dessert so I didn't get the opportunity to try anything but now I know for next time that they offer a variety of delicious options. It is a barbeque joint that serves until they sell out of something so you're better off going early in the day. By 4PM when we went they had just run out of ribs. Overall, I think I'll be back!

Yelp
Georgia Boys BBQ: Finger-Lickin' Good and Worth the Hype! Let me tell you, Georgia Boys BBQ in Longmont is the real deal! My husband and I went for a late lunch and were absolutely blown away by the smoky goodness. I opted for the smoked turkey salad, and it was a revelation. The turkey was perfectly cooked, with a deep, rich smoke flavor that infused every bite. The accompanying salad was fresh and crisp, providing a welcome contrast to the smoky star of the show. I ordered two dressings on the side -- smoked poblano and fig vinaigrette -- both amazing. My husband is a self-proclaimed "rib connoisseur," and he rarely compliments others. However, after his first bite of the St. Louis ribs, he declared them the best he'd ever had. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, with perfect char and a delicious smoky sweetness. The sauce was a perfect complement, adding a touch of tang without masking the ribs' natural flavor. We both left Georgia Boys BBQ feeling incredibly satisfied and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for authentic, mouthwatering BBQ in Longmont, look no further! This is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise. P.S. Be sure to try their sides - we shared the sweet potato casserole and okra. Yum! P.P.S. Our server was an absolute delight. I wish I would have gotten her name!

Yelp
Really solid bbq food truck based out of Longmont. We tried them at Liquid mechanics and I'm so glad they were there that night because it was the perfect meal to enjoy with some tasty brews. My husband and I each got a sandwich and they were both really good. I got the pulled pork Carolina style with Cole slaw and he got the sliced brisket melt style with bacon and cheese on Texas toast. The Texas toast was the way to go for sure adding a nice salty crunch. The meats had a nice smoke and were tender and juicy. The bbq sauces were good too although we liked the spicy bbq the best. We got corn bread, potato salad, Cole slaw, and Mac and cheese on the side and they were all enjoyable. The potato salad was my favorite with the perfect amount of mayo and a refreshing pair to the warm sandwich. The guys running the truck were friendly and cool too. Service was quick.

Yelp
Kitchen staff at least end of shift are untrained. Ordered large fried okra togo. Put the full order in a sealed quart container. Less than 8 minutes home and I had steamed okra, fryer oil leaking, fried cornflour mush. Fried okra is my favorite thing in the world!!! Why, just why?

Kathleen W.

Yelp
Solid BBQ joint in Longmont, CO! Fast and efficient service. I got the burnt ends brisket with brunswick stew and the fruit salad as my sides. Next time, get something other than fruit salad b/c it's weird to eat grapes and sliced bananas with brisket. They also had an array of different BBQ sauces and I enjoyed trying all of them. Cool assortment of apparel as well - but didn't love this place to sport their logo on my clothes.

JP C.

Yelp
The food is better than any BBQ around, we prefer this place because get anywhere. We typically hit the one in Frederick but every location we've been to is in point!

Ali S.

Yelp
Best BBQ in Colorado. I've had both the pulled chicken sandwhich and pulled pork sandwhich. Would recommend getting them Texas style with red onions and pickles. Adds more flavor. I like the hot ghost pepper sauce but it isn't really that spicy so don't get disappointed if you want heat. Mac n cheese and fries are very good. Sweet tea is good taste like any southern sweet tea you would get. Happy Hour has good discounts and you can get rewards / birthday gift. Staff has always been nice and has good service. Soda machine bags needed to be replaced, Coke tasted like spicy water. Banana pudding was alright, I think it had too much whipped cream. I would give 4.5 stars if I could but I'll be generous and round up. Definitely worth a trip and great food. They do offer a food challenge where it's free if you can finish it in an hour if shoveling food down is your thing.

Ruben S.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch with a coworker that has never been here. Let's just say a nap is probably in the near future. Our server Kelsi was top notch friendly and had us taken care of. The food as seen in the picture was an amazing size portion and the flavors are off the charts. The picture doesn't do it justice. The vibe and music here are relaxing and fun to say the least. Not my last visit here, you have a fan for life.

Mildred M.

Yelp
Georgia Boys BBQ is amazing! The smoked meats are super tender and packed with flavor, and the sides are just as good. The staff is really friendly and makes you feel right at home. If you're into BBQ or just want a great meal, you've got to check this place out!

Kaitlyn V.

Yelp
Holy H**l this place is delicious. loved every part of my meal, even the gluten free bun. Great flavor and perfect smokiness in the sauce ... yum!!

Ashley M.

Yelp
Have had their food truck and their catering. It's always delicious, i love their BBQ sauces too!

Monika A.

Yelp
Service was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Good selection of bbq sauces. We had loaded tater tots and did the shareable half platter. Great way to taste a variety of meats and sides. Loved the sweet potato casserole.

Flo L.

Yelp
Good service. Bbq was good (ribs, burnt ends and brisket), but was disappointed with the Mac n cheese. Was just okay overall

Jay S.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! First time there and my wife and I pulled up to the bar so the service was great. Fantastic beer selection and delicious food I highly recommend the burnt ends, They were the best next thing to KC BBQ! My wife went with the Cobb Salad with Burnt Ends and absolutely loved it! They have a great variety of sauces if needed but the Burnt Ends have a great salty bark so no sauce is needed. You definitely need a little south in your mouth!

Jodi G.

Yelp
I miss having many BBQ options, but Colorado just doesn't have many good choices. Georgia Boys is the only BBQ we get in the area when we get a hankering. We've tried ordering meat plates with sides and different sandwiches. The spicy sausage is a must, as is the okra. We typically get brisket as well. They may be out of ribs if you come too late but good if available. The Mac is inconsistent - sometimes it is thicker or looser. The pulled pork is also inconsistent as it has been dry on occasion but other times very moist. The banana pudding is good if you have any room left! The cocktails are pretty good. Many beer and some cider options are also available. They have a few different BBQ sauces to choose from. I love the mop and sweet heat. If you get takeout, double check whether they've included the sauces requested as we've missed out after not checking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be tight on busy days and you may have to drive around if you aren't looking to walk. Service has been hit or miss over the years with some folks being super great and others not - maybe overworked and frustrated? Unsure. We will continue to patronize this restaurant.

Jack D.

Yelp
Today we had an overwhelmingly poor experience with the Georgia Boys food truck. Started with the mediocre service that made tipping feel like it was mandatory despite having very little to no hospitality. I ordered the Dog Bowl with "burnt ends" which ended up being majorily extremely large pieces of fat attached to regular brisket. The mac and cheese is subpar as it was extremely runny. The sauce ran off the noodles leaving a broth like base which lacked seasoning. Unimpressed and overpriced. Would recommend not going to save 20 dollars for your next store visit for your pet's food, likely better quality and taste.

Jason S.

Yelp
Great customer service when you talk to the folks working there/ issue with online ordering. We had an issue (more than once) ordering online. When ordering a combo plate it prompted my wife to choose which type of brisket and appeared to force her to select the second item (ribs). Selecting the "2nd item" actually added a 2nd set of ribs with an $11 upcharge. I called and was a bit on the angry side, admittedly. They figured out that the online ordering saw the 2nd selection as an additional selection and said they'd work to resolve it as it's confusing. Also an issue (still 3rd party website) around using Costco purchased giftcards when ordering online. Everyone I spoke with was apologetic. I believe there was no real intent to double charge. Dan, the manager, was super helpful and professional. I feel bad for calling in angrily, Dan. Thanks so much for your help and professionalism. Owners - Dan is a KEEPER. No joke. Regards, Jason Edit: professional, I've worked with 3rd party app/web developers and know it can mean less than perfect execution. I'm sure that's the case here. Also, the food is GREAT.

Arlene O.

Yelp
The last few times I had the burnt ends, they were awful. They have a strange taste to me. They used to have good tastes. Not anymore

Carey S.

Yelp
I love their bbq and fried okra. My favorite type of bbq is Carolina vinegar based. We have eaten there a lot and love their food. I go to the one in Frederick.

K B.

Yelp
Best BBQ in Colorado. Absolutely fantastic food and the seating is nice, too--not too many shared-booth type seats. Highly recommend Georgia Boys.

Marc K.

Yelp
With a nod to Craig W. - While the service and decor was pleasant, the "BBQ" Beef Brisket was very disappointing; dry, chewy, and by my reckonning was taken out of a cooler as a day old leftover and warmed up with some sauce. May try it again in a year.

Craig W.

Yelp
Food was eatable, but very basic. I've had MUCH better. I was hopeful as it's close by me. Well, not the first on my list.

Chris K.

Yelp
Terrible options for bbq. Nothing on the menu offering a 2-3 meat combo unless it's from their own choosing. This place makes you choose one or choose their pre selected combos. Not to mention the most expensive bbq I've ever seen. What an insult. Never returning to this spot. Dave's BBQ is where I'll be giving my business to from now on

Hannah R.

Yelp
Ordered takeout for Christmas Eve and it was one of the best dinners I've had! Everything was delicious, even when re-heated. I look fwd to trying the food in store as well. 10/10

Sarah M.

Yelp
We went here but ended up leaving immediately once we learned they use sugar in all of their meat.

Greg J.

Yelp
Great service. Great food. Great sauces that are on the table and that you don't have to pay for. Large portions and awesome fries. Cool decor and not too loud. I will definitely try it again.

Tamara S.

Yelp
Awesome food and service but terrible lighting. It's like being under an interrogation lamp. I'd never go here on a cozy date but if you want great bbq, this is the place.

Laura M.

Yelp
We stopped in here on Halloween for a late lunch (around 2pm). The restaurant was fairly quiet - and people were spaced out at tables around the restaurant. Our waitress (Kari) was very nice and helpful. After ordering, our food came out fairly quickly. The brisket was delicious - nice smoky flavor and perfectly cooked. So good - you don't even need the sauce - but if you do want sauce, there were plenty of delicious options (I combined a few for the optimal flavor of vinegar/mustard and spicy! The turkey was also very flavorful and good. The mac n cheese is a must try - so creamy and delicious! The coleslaw was also really good. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for some good bbq!

Sandee N.

Yelp
Only place in town to get Smoked Turkey... its addicting & friggen delish! I also love their (summer only) collard greens, and their sweet potato casserole. If your not in the mood for Smoked/bar b q then I highly recommend their fish tacos.

Annet W.

Yelp
I love the BBQ here. Burnt ends yum. Choice of several sauces. The servers are always friendly.

Nickolas L.

Yelp
I got off work. I took my dogs for a walk. I called and asked if I can sit out in the patio with my dogs. They said yes watch my dogs only lay down to the patio sat there for a good 25 minutes 30 minutes and the waitress has kept looking at me and didn't even help, I left and called and asked if there's any reason why and the girl on the phone said the waitress must've been confused because dogs are not allowed on the patio. That's probably why they didn't serve me. Crappy.

Donna M.

Yelp
Yummy food!! Love their bbq!! Nice service and fun atmosphere. Love the take-out too

Kajsa C.

Yelp
So yummy. Friendly staff, BBQ is delicious. Love the beans and collard greens. Burt ends are fabulous.

B A K.

Yelp
Brisket and burnt ends are winners! Sauces def have a kick. Got take out, will be back to try more.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Wonderful food in a fun atmosphere. They have gluten free BBQ sauce which makes it a nice place for us to have all our family. Remember, in the south, macaroni and cheese is a vegetable...

Michael W.

Yelp
I received the response from the Co-Owner (Matt), which changed my attitude. Matt will work with his staff to locate the problem and implement change that will hopefully keep this from happening to other customers. Thanks Matt!

Derek Y.

Yelp
Great bbq in Longmont. Brisket is awesome and burnt ends are even better! Leave room for the banana puddin, too.

Patrice B.

Yelp
Always great food and good service! Try the burnt ends! They do not disappoint! The wings were very good too.

Josh O.

Yelp
The restaurant is nice and the staff was friendly. The bbq was lackluster. I ordered the ribs and they were dry. (Not even close to fall off the bone) The potential is there, I just think they aren't that concerned about turning out high quality food. It was ok.

David S.

Yelp
Went to this place for lunch it was good service was good will be going back soon. I had the brisket very tender great smoke taste.

Mark D.

Yelp
Had a need to try some BBQ and decided to give this place a try. The brisket sandwich caught my eye and ended up all 4 of us ordered The Pitmaster. Great sandwich and the fries were top notch. Ordered some onion rings which were also very good. The only issue was the size of the sandwich was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, It was the size of normal slice of bread with standard size "scoop" of Meat. Great environment and not so loud that you can't talk and hear each other. It was good enough to go back and try something else.

Matt D.

Yelp
I was born and raised in Georgia and love going here and seeing all of the UGA stuff everywhere. Usually the BBQ is pretty solid and I don't have much in the way of complaints. First the Good: Pulled pork is solid. The smoked turkey is life changing. The stuffing they make for Thanksgiving will make you wanna smack yo mama! The colesalw is REALLY good. The burnt ends are great when you can get them. The staff is almost always really friendly. The Bad: I have NEVER had brisket there that wasn't overcooked and dry on the many times I have been here. If you love Brunswick Stew this isn't really the place to get it. This next complaint is minor as i realize we are in Colorado, but almost everytime I go in there I meantion something to the staff about UGA, Athens or something associated and they look at me like they have never heard of UGA or Athens, GA. Additionally, I went in this past season to eat and watch a Dawgs game on one of their multiple TV's. Not one of them had the game on! I had to ask someone to put it on, which they did happily but this should be a company policy! Last Night's experience 3/14/2023: I go in on this Tuesday night really excited to eat BBQ. The very nice guy who sat me recommended the Smoked brisket Reuben and described the house brining process. The bartender encouraged this when I ordered it and even the guy next to me at the bar said it was really good. It took roughly 30 minutes for the order to come to me. It was not busy at all and I didn't mention it or complain as I was enjoying my beer and was in no particular hurry. However, when it came I was disappointed. When you read their menu they have these amazing sounding sandwiches with piles of meats. I cam e in there ready to Fat Boy it, so I was expecting normal, thick slices of brisket piled high....basically a Reuben on steroids. What I received was an anemic, sad sandwich. The brisket was sliced thin and even though it was tasty there was not nearly enough of it and all of it was on one side of the sandwich. Half my bites were just kraut. The bread was soggy as well as I suspect it sat in the window before being brought to me. It could have been a decent sandwich if simply executed properly. I took a look to the kitchen window and I see two very young kids who probably have no passion for good BBQ and it's simply a job to them. I have been to this location many, many times and have NEVER seen the owners there. This place has the potential to be AMAZING but I suspect they are spending their time expanding rather than making sure what made them Best of Boulder doesn't slip. GA Boys, I give this constructive criticism cause I love ya! Go Dawgs!

Renata P.

Yelp
Delicious ribs!!! The corn cake is also great. Like the environment. It is Family friend.

Brad M.

Yelp
Great Georgia bbq! Service was excellent and friendly, the ribs and tips were delicious as was the Brunswick stew. We will definitely return. Go Dawgs!

Linda B.

Yelp
The food is very tasty and you can eat on the outdoor patio. The inside, though, reminds me of a biker bar, although I have never seen any aggressive behavior nor heard shouting. The last time I was there on the patio there were a total of 4 people, 2 tables. I had to go into the restaurant to look for the waitress for silverware, and another time to ask for another drink. No stars for service.

Joe A.

Yelp
We eat at Georgia Boys a couple times a month and it's always delicious! Except for today. The brisket burnt ends that we normally get were just cubes of brisket and fat with a little bit of burnt area on the fat. The ribs were a bit dry and lacking sauce. My wife's loaded potato was delicious and my fries were also, but we're hoping todays visit was just an anomoly, meat-wise. We'll be back in a week or two and hopefully things are back to normal.

Grant B.

Yelp
Wayyyy expensive for meat that has clearly been sitting in a warming vat all day (dry on top, kinda moist below). Poor portions, mediocre sauces. Money is better spent at smokin Dave's. That's where I'll be

Jennette R.

Yelp
Super Yum! Big portions. Nice atmosphere. Tasty sauces! That mustard. Pretty darn close the actual BBQ from the south.
