"Inside the 52-story Georgia-Pacific building on Peachtree Street downtown, I visited Kevin Gillespie’s Ole Reliable breakfast and lunch counter, which is open to the public through 3 p.m. (breakfast begins at 7 a.m.; lunch starts at 10:30 a.m.). Breakfast offerings include baked eggs topped with cheddar, roasted poblano peppers, bacon, and caramelized onions, and a smoked gouda grit bowl with prosciutto, mushrooms, and a fried egg. Ole Reliable also serves open-faced sandwiches on Root Baking Co. bread—mascarpone with strawberry-mint preserves for a sweeter option and smoked salmon with Duke’s mayo topped with an egg, radish, celery, and sweet herbs for a savory choice—and sandwiches are available all day. Lunch highlights three hearty salads and soups, including an Italian wedding–style take with hot Italian sausage, potatoes, and kale. I can also get coffee and coffee drinks made with beans from Old Fourth Ward roastery Docent, cold brew, and teas. Hours are Monday–Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for food and drinks, with drinks-only windows 6:30–7 a.m. and 3–4 p.m." - Beth McKibben
