I walked in here last night took a seat at the bar and the guy behind the bar purposely ignored me. Refused to make eye contact. Walked in around 11pm wanted to order, kitchen is open until 12. Sat there for 15 mins. Passed by me 5-6 times. Dude next to me was eating and other dude next to me had food. Acting busy while not being busy is dumb obvious you’re not fooling anyone.. getting hate from straight men I understand. Getting hate from the men in my community is another level of petty i have still yet to understand. I don’t live far from Asbury but if your traveling from outside as a masc lesbian make sure you have a group with you. Luckily, Paradise was having drag 5 mins away. Tipped the bartenders double what I paid for the drinks at Paradise just from them being kind.

Georgie’s is one of the most welcoming, cool, relaxed bars in Asbury. They have such a wonderful, beautiful, mixed crowd of people. Drag shows on Sunday as well as kerokee nights and other fun stuff during weekdays/ends. They host events for the community like autism awareness. The lgbtq community is just beautiful and welcoming. I bring my buddies here all the time, and they love the atmosphere’s , respect, prices, and overall vibe. You just meet such amazing people here. I love it because I get a beer I love cheaper than anywhere in Asbury (happens to be brewed here as well!) and get my cheese fries ! The bartenders are just kind and wonderful. On busy nights, please be patient t - it can get busy. Happy hour is such a great time to go. This is really a family establishment and it shows. Bring your ID - they are appropriately dligent about checking! Love this place !

I've been here twice and loved it both times. The staff is friendly and the bartenders are awesome. It's a very laid back atmosphere and the karaoke nights are a lot of fun. Definitely going to be coming back with a group when I can again for more karaoke!

This establishment is incredible and very entertaining. Great food and vibes from the staff to the patrons. Entertainment provided all around is really non-stop. KARAOKE nights, Tempted nights, The Queen's night of Drag and great DJ dance vibes. Finally, we have a place to see male dancing entertainment in New Jersey. My 2nd year coming to Georgies on vacation made me want to cry and not go home. I want to thank David, Keke, Mary, Ryan, De'Sean and of course Wendy.

Fair price for drinks and food, and safe place to hangout with the LGBTQ community.

From the bartenders who are snappy to the cook who can elevate a bar burger, to the security staff that are genuinely caring people, it really is a safe space for dive bar fun. Drinks are priced well and generously poured, and don't forget AMAZING karaoke!

This place is the absolute worst. Went here with some friends, got there early 6pm and were buying rounds for hours. As it got busier, we were dancing and accidentally bumped into the computer where the music was being controlled. The bouncer immediately told us that the cops were called and we were kicked from the bar. We were then arrested by the police and detained until 4am. This bar does nothing to protect their patrons, if you’re looking for a good time, definitely won’t find it here.

This place is the best place I've ever been to! If you're looking for a place that will blow your mind, and make you feel right at home I highly recommend. The women are all spectacular and attractive( this one girl wore the hottest pants). I found my wife here and we are now pregnant.

What an awesome Sunday spent at this establishment! My family and I were so excited to check out the Sunday Drag Queen brunch, we rolled in deep. LOL. We got there about 1:30, brunch is from 1-5 pm. Show starts at 3. We were able to come and get settled with some drinks and order food before the show started. Brunch is a little limited in terms of options, but priced very reasonably. I ordered a simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that was pretty small on an English muffin sized bun. It was tasty! Mimosas are two dollars! Seem to be a little more OJ than bubbly, so I added a shot of vodka that took it and me over the top lol. Shout out to Dayshawn, really nice bartender!! Unfortunately, can't say the same for a female bartender that was also working... very unwelcoming and barely acknowledged us at all. Inside is a little dive bar-ish which added to the experience for me! Before you go, $5 cover charge and cash only! Was a little bummed about spending $4 to get money out of the ATM. Ok, on to the show!! SO MUCH FUN! Extremely entertaining! Divinity Banks... OMG. Show stopping beauty who is extremely talented! Very engaging with the crowd and it was just a really good time! DJ was spinning great tunes.. and the icing on the cake, meeting Felipe Rose from the Village People!! Can't wait to come back and check out Karaoke Wednesdays!!

Such a fun bar....but your ball is so dusty. Ya got one disco ball in the whole place. Dust yo ball. Seriously dust that ball.

Great music, great drinks, awesome atmosphere. I really enjoyed the live band that came here.

Sunday Funday at this Retro Abury Park location with the best $5 Sangrias and meal deals. Entertainers are so much fun and the best bartender in NJ ,Ryan. and Best DJ , Mick Hale ,and Dancer Divinity Banks!!!!

well my first time to your bar and maybe the bartender Lisa was having a bad day. but I did not feel welcome at all . I'm a bartender myself I hope I never made someone as uncomfortable as she did me. guess I will try another bar in the neighborhood just moved here and looking for a place to feel like I'm welcome. happy new year to all even Lisa.

I used to enjoy coming here, but now their sound is at ear-damaging levels. Please consider caring for the hearing health of your customers and employees.

i give it two stars bc the other customers were fun. not sure if the bartender has something against female customers but the bartender was rude to my friends and I was waiting to order a drink after my friends had ordered and i was blatantly ignored. ended up just walking away because i decided not to spend the money especially after waiting so long i was just over it. $20 for one drink...i get in nyc but not here. wanna give the benefit of the doubt but, sadly, i will not come back here.

Amazing atmosphere! One of the best places- Recommend visiting this place, this hit the top of our list of gay lesbian bars. Definitely the best place to visit in Asbury Park.

Some crazy, awesome karaoke for late Wednesday night. #nofearkaraoke Hella loved the atmosphere (and obviously that's as an outsider).

This place was cool, came on 4th of July. They had an indoor and outdoor space. Very polite staff and the bartender was funny and attentive. Drinks were cheap. The music was 70s. It's definitely geared towards a specific crowd I would say, although, the outside had different music, more modern.

Love this bar!!! Affordable drinks, friendly staff, and a very loving vibe. "The gay cheers of Asbury Park" is a fitting description. When I first started going, by myself, I was nervous. I had made friends pretty quickly and enjoy their company...thoroughly. As far as the comment below, I have been there at times of downpours and they close at 2am...so yes, we are not supposed to be in the bar rain or not...in addition, they do give you a last call warning 15 minutes before closing to give you time for another beverage....or summon your ride. Security there are very friendly and, IF a security person said what Dom states, I can vouge it was in jest and being silly. I've never had an issue there and hope not to. It's a good place to just "let loose."

Every time I come here it's always so much fun even before the pandemic bestie invited me out here and all the people and staff were awesome and friendly. I still go to karaoke nights there.

What a dump! And I mean that in the VERY BEST WAY!!! Georgie's is old Asbury! A place you go to when you don't want to spend $18 on a cocktail or worry if you're dressed okay. You go there to meet friends (new and old) have a drink and feel like you belong. The bar staff is the best. And to the guy who talked smack about Jeanie, don't worry, they don't need you business. But I will give a special shout out to Beth. The nicest person in town. Stop in and say hi. You won't be disappointed.

Ignore the terrible website and the ridiculously cheesy flyers. This is a wonderfully laid-back bar that's perfectly comfortable for everyone. Draft beer is cheap as hell and the staff is both friendly and attentive. Wednesday night karaoke is low-key, low-pressure, and well-run. Recommended.

One of the first times I came here there were kittens. Now I'm disappointed each time I come back and there are no kittens. I keep coming back anyway. It's not the friendliest of local bars. No matter how many times I come, it's always an effort to get served. The people watching is amazing. There's always a game of pool going on. It can get pretty wild later on in the night. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Georgie's! even if going there always makes me so, so glad I moved away.

This place almost makes me wish I didn't move away when I was still underage. Such a beautiful, friendly, diverse group of people. My go to when I'm in town!

I came here two nights, last week, with a friend of mine. Wednesday night was karaoke. It goes without saying that these men out-sang me! Fun night and the woman running the karaoke was lively. Requests are taken via text message, which was different, but worked I guess. Thursday night it was a lot quieter, but the bartender was so friendly! He got everyone in the place chatting with each other and kept the spirit of the evening alive. Great fun! This bar has less of a club crowd so it's a little more my style of people. More mature crowd and MUCH less drama!

Gay people doing karaoke! How can you go wrong with that? If you are straight the bartenders give you a look but I'm okay with that. The entertainment for free was awesome I drank and watched all the crazy people around me and got my laugh on and danced a bit to the songs. I'd def go again for the entertainment but it will never be a usual hangout stop as it looks this way from where I was standing.

Love this place! Beer's always cold, prices are reasonable, the bar food is absolutely bangin. In addition, they give you a heads up at last call so if it is raining, you can be calling your cab when it's time to go and enjoying your final beverage. My favorite watering hole in the area!

Great place with the exception of the one (straight?) female bartender who usually works happy hour. She is a nasty piece of work. Why so mean and miserable lady!? This person should not be working with the public. The height of hostility.

Georgies is a reliable standby, like a comfy sweatshirt. If you are male you should go on a week day, if you are female then weekends. I think its awesome that there is a place like this to go on a Monday evening even in the winter in a town the size of Asbury Park. Will you have the time of your life? Probably not. Will you find familiar faces and friendly conversation and come back the next time you're feeling antsy on a weeknight? Of course you will.

So if you're looking for a crowd, good music, and just a plain old great night...head the completely opposite way from here. It's a bar...with a pool table...and thats it. There's really nothing here unless you bring your own party. Bartenders nice, but with an empty place like this, does that even matter? Don't waste your time.

Beth is the best bartender in the tri state area !!!.... come to Georgie's when she's working!!!!..... she's incredible ....beautiful..... and gives outstanding service; hands down..... and that hard to find in Asbury Park.....

This is a hidden gem in Asbury. Everyone is great and the place is a lot of fun. They also serve food now, I haven't eaten there yet but it sure looks pretty good. And both food and drink are reasonably priced. I was getting Grey Goose Martinis for $7.50 but cannot say for sure if it was just on special or not (it was on a Wednesday Karaoke night). Definitely check it out if you're in the area.

The bartenders are friendly and this is a great local bar. I haven't tried the food yet, but every time I've been here the kitchen was closed.

REVIEW FOR MONDAYS ONLY: I loved that a round of beers on Monday only cost me $6 (half price drink night) and that the pool table was free. divey and fun!

Karaoke on Wednesdays & Saturdays are the absolute best. Mixed drinks are a little pricey but they are strong so it works out. Beers are reasonably priced. Awesome laid-back atmosphere.

The Kim Davis look-alike bartender was awful. The guys that came in later were great but the drinks were extremely overpriced for a dive bar. $10 for a captain & coke.

i absolutely love the bartenders here!... usually. the rest of the time they are still very very likable! they mix drinks nice and strong and will do anything for you. the atmosphere is not hole-in-the-wall though it might seem that way from the outside. (but it's also not completely void of being a dive bar). and don't worry about your vehicle either as there are security cameras and monitors that you can see from sitting at the bar. the music is good, people are fun enough, and you don't have to wait the entire night for the pool table. and they do special things on certain nights. can't have a bad time here even if it's a slow night.

Great bartenders, great drinks, great karaoke, great crowd. A lot of fun. There are many different things to do, , the outside is great during the summer. And there's always something going on for whatever your particular fancy is, live music, karaoke, gogo, drag...what more you need?
