The Matheson, an Ambitious New Sonoma Dining Destination, Debuts Sept. 2 in Downtown Healdsburg | Eater SF

"By day I can explore an 88-selection, by-the-glass state-of-the-art wine wall that invites wine lovers to sample Sonoma offerings, and downstairs a bar overseen by Jon McCarthy offers classic cocktails—straightforward martinis and old fashioneds as well as modern takes—while walk-ins are welcome." - Lauren Saria

The best place! Jen, the owner is so nice! My friend and I came in on a quiet Saturday afternoon and had the best time with a discovery flight. We had some of the best wines I have ever tried, and Jen’s background knowledge in the wine is amazing. But the main star is the namesake of the place: Georgie! Sweet bull dog with so much charisma. One of the best evenings I have had in a long time!

I come to Georgie’s whenever I’m in town! My family goes to Tuscany for harvest every year and Georgie's has the same welcoming & relaxed atmosphere that truly makes the wine experience. Great selections as well.

A very nice place for wine and tapas. Even though we made a reservation we still had trouble getting a table, they wanted to sit us on a couch with a coffee table, but after some back and forth we were seated. The wine selection was good and the server knowledgeable. The food was very good also, and I recommend the house board and the veggie flat bread. The acoustics are not great, and if you have a hard time hearing in crowds this place will be very tough for you to hear in.

My favorite wine bar in Boston! I have never had a wine here that I didn’t love. Everyone that works here is super knowledgable (including Georgie should you get the pleasure to meet her!) I especially recommend coming for one of their events or a Friday for their fine Fridays! Excellent selection and a perfect location- only complaint is they aren’t open on weekends!

Perfect addition to an afternoon walk with my dog is a glass of fine wine with Georgie. Sunny outdoor seating with a nice breeze. Will have to come back and explore the menu further.

Had a lovely wine tasting here with friends. Atmosphere was warm and inviting and relaxed - perfect for catching up with friends. We tried an assortment of fantastic wines from different regions which was a nice change from our usual 'favorites'. Would definitely recommend for any event.

We came across this place on a freezing night; I immediately fell in love with the chic, but familiar atmosphere! The servers were very friendly, the music pleasant & the menu original: the cheese & charcuterie selection was exquisite, just like the snacks or toasts. The wines were amazing: I adored the Californian Malvasia, but was glad to discover lots of great European wines, too: Italian, Spanish, Slovenian, Austrian etc.

Georgie’s is the best wine bar in Boston. Selection is unmatched. Staff is friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Georgie, the English Bulldog, welcomes every guests with pep in her step. I go to Georgie’s every week and have yet to be disappointed by my experience there. Long live Queen Georgie.

Yelp
I have been to Georgie's a few other times, but more for their wine shop than their bar. This time, I could enjoy a glass of wine at their wine bar next door. The place is so cute and has some phenomenal wine selections. Parking can be a bit tough but I parked across the street for the hour I was there. I want to come back with my husband and/or friends and take in the beautiful shop. They also do some events here too. I have been following them on IG and they post their up-to-date calendar must-do's and must have's. I highly recommend stopping in for a glass or 2 while enjoying the serenity of this space.

Yelp
Great wine bar & selection. Owner is local and very knowledgeable. Ambiance is great, central community type seating and individual tables

Yelp
Georgie's is named after their adorable dog! He's super friendly and will paw you for pets. It's a wine shop but they also offer drinks. They have limited seating inside but some picnic tables outside. Forget me not - not too sweet and the flavors balanced well. A great cocktail.

Yelp
My friend needed to grab a few bottles as gifts. They had a very wide selection of wines, hence the name. There were limited the spirit options and the price tag definitely seem to be higher here. All the employees were incredibly friendly and more than willing to help in anyway they could. Would come again if need be!

Yelp
Fantastic selection, however, the woman behind the counter struck me as rather rude and full of herself. Not particularly helpful in selecting a wine and did not make me feel welcome.

Yelp
Super great selection and lovely folks serving our tasting. Nice food to go with our tasting. Especially enjoyed the Spanish orange wine. Hosts spent time helping and exploring wines with guests that were interested in learning more about a region or wines in general.

Yelp
Excellent selection of wine from around the world and the United States. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, and her pup (Georgie!) makes it an excellent experience! We've never had a bad experience. Definitely a must stop in Boston when visiting or as a local. We will continue to visit.

Yelp
I love me a glass of wine but I am no expert when it comes to choosing a bottle. Common Vines is a small shop in the Financial District. It is brightly lit with two walls of wines and a marble top table in the center. There is a refrigerator with chilled sections for grab and go. They offer free wine tastings and guidance in picking out a bottle for you or a gift for someone else. I had a pleasant experience shopping for two bottles as gifts. Not stuffy or intimidating. I didn't get her name but the woman helping me was knowledgeable and friendly. No up-sell, just honest recommendations. Common Vines has a nice range of bottles in various price points - under $20 and plenty over amount that too. They wrap your bottles in colorful tissue so you're ready for casual gifting. Their rewards program is buy $100, get $5. Nice place, will come back again!

Yelp
We are lucky to live so close to Common Vines. This great little shop packs in a lot of unique wines and because of their regular tastings, has opened up our minds to quite a few different wines and even spirits (including Old Fashioned in a bottle by Billy Boy - all because of a tasting). The owners and the staff are great - truly creating a place that has a neighborhood vibe. I also love how if you fine a wine that you really enjoy at Taste Wine Bar across the road, you can pick it up here.

Yelp
Highly recommend Common Vines! I wanted to send wine to a friend for her birthday and they were extremely helpful, giving me a few different options within my price range and then delivering right to her door in a gift box - excellent customer service and a great experience overall!

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of this place and not just because I work upstairs. Common Vines has a well-curated selection of wines, spirits, beer, and various edible accompaniments. This means that they don't have the largest selection around but they know each and every product they sell and can offer expert recommendations. The people that work here are also extremely friendly and happy to help you no matter your level of oenophilia. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
This wine shop is fun! They offer tastings and the staff is very helpful picking out wine/beer/cider. The owners clearly care about their shop and are very welcoming, even offering our pup a treat on our way out.

Yelp
Me and a friend stumbled across this hidden gem while strolling through Boston, popped in for the free wine tasting and the wines were delicious. The sommelier was wise and helpful. He even gave me wine suggestions to the restaurant we were going to that evening. Lovely all around!!

Yelp
Helpful workers. Fairly priced bottles. Great daily tastings.
