This is a must-see when you come to Houston. I have been to Houston many times, but I have never seen this. It will leave you in awe. It is truly amazing. It is also great to cool you off on a hot day. There were tons of people there on the Saturday that we went. Lost of photos were being taken. I was very amazed by the water feature.

Google
Nothing about Houston makes sense! This beautiful attraction is the only attraction to see for miles. Houston must be so large that they sprinkle a little art all around. Luckily this was just a short walk from our hotel. It draws a lot of visitors. I loved to see the diverse crowd that gathered for photos. Be careful though, there isn’t a place to park. The tow truck was hovering and almost towed a car.

Google
Absolutely a pleasure to be standing near the mist of water. The place is a quick 5min walk from Galleria mall which has ample parking space.

Google
Good place to take a break, relax and take your dog out. The Park is pretty nice having an open area, walking trail & the waterfall. But unfortunately, the Waterwall was closed due to pump repair work. PS : If you're planning to go to see it now, wait till the end of April 2025.

Beautiful spot,Something to see and cool you off for a bit.The gallariea is right in front of you that was crazy cool.... but the air quality???🙃 I have to question 🤔😮‍💨🧐 somebody. Let me know if I am tripping.😆😁🥰.

Google
This place is like an Oasis in the middle of the city. The atmosphere is instantly calming. Once you stand closer to the wall you can feel the vibration from the water. If your in the "H" you have to stop by. 💯

Google
Beautiful place. It was an amazing experience. Parking garage available nearby. Starts at 6$/hr which we thought was quite affordable.

Google
Honestly, this is one of the more random things to be so unexpectedly found while exploring a city. Crossing through the city through some of the less than favorable parts and then stumbling through a couple of blocks of a downtown, you find yourself here, something that you can see and hear while driving down the street. It was certainly a fun find, and of course I had to stop and check it out. Be mindful that you may need to cross an entire lawn depending on where you park. It had just rained so there were tons of holes and mud spots in the grass - be aware when you go. Staring at this waterfall structure makes you ponder why they put this here, and then you just marvel that it is here. Then you think about how everything you currently enjoy was made up by someone not much smarter than yourself.

Yelp
Beautiful attraction in Houston. Great for pictures and you can enjoy lunch on the lawn and take in the views. Right next to the mall and you can park in the parking garage nearby or off the street. Definitely worth the visit while here.

Yelp
While waiting for the Galleria Mall to open, we decided to check out this nearby park. It's a beautiful spot with a stunning waterfall that's perfect for taking pictures. It's a great little area to sit down, hang out, or take a leisurely stroll. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Very cool monument/site with flowing water and next to a very tall building. Unfortunately, the main attraction with the waterfalls in a Coliseum structure were turned off, but the south side borders were working and had waterfalls running. Definitely recommended for checking out and a top IG or Instagrammable spot in Houston!

Yelp
What a beautiful fountain in the Uptown District of Houston! Perfect for photos, as I took many, haha! Known for being a popular backdrop for weddings, graduations, birthday photos, etc. Your hair and outfit will get damp so make sure you dress accordingly! If you're looking for a bathroom nearby your best bet is to walk over to the mall.

Yelp
This was one of our first sightseeing activities upon arrival to Houston after a move from a *much* more outdoorsy city. The idea of an artificial waterfall was fairly unappealing, to say the least. Nonetheless, the Waterwall made it's way onto so many "must see" lists for Houston. We were not disappointed. For an artificial installation, this is quite the grand artificial landmark. The immense amount of required water is a bit heart wrenching if you spend too much time considering the environmental impact, yet the majesty of this is awe-inspiring. This is definitely worth a stop (and pro-tip: find free parking nearby, away from the dedicated parking garage, if you are willing to walk a few extra minutes).
google avatar

Alan H.

Yelp
Avoid this place if you don't like crowds. The waterfall is neat but you'll probably only need to spend 20 minutes here. The pro tip is to come early in the morning to avoid a large crowd. Also, there's a paid parking lot near by but selfish individuals illegally park on the street because they don't want to pay for a short stop. It creates traffic and makes a somewhat hectic driving situation.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a cool place to check out when you're in Houston! You can park near the mall area and walk a couple blocks to it. Very picturesque! Come close and you might get wet! Must stop! Come check it out!

Yelp
Waterwall Park is such a mesmerizing free attraction. Something as simple as a waterwall keeps you watching and walking all around it. We wanted a free tourist attraction while on vacation and this is the perfect spot. Great place to take photos as well as videos. It wasn't too busy when we were there, plenty of space all around for the perfect selfie. Looks like this is also a popular spot for locals to take special occasion photos. While we were there we saw 3 different parties taking Quinceañera photos. Also a great spot to sit, relax, and people watch all day long.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a nice little feature/green space by the Galleria area of Houston. To me, it was one of those visit once, take a pic (if you want) and be done. It's impressive in the volume of water and helps cool you down on a hot summer's day but that was about it. There didn't seem to be any convenient parking close by so that's probably the one thing to consider if making your way out here. It seemed like most people sorta just parked with their hazards on and stayed close by.
google avatar

Troy S.

Yelp
Definitely a unique feature. It is pretty busy with everybody trying to get a selfie. I suppose that depends on the time a day. You'll have to park in a parking ramp adjacent to the park since there is no street parking. 15 or 20 minutes is probably enough. There's not a whole lot else to see in that immediate area. The water feature itself is very cool.

Yelp
When looking up things to do in Houston, the water wall kept coming up. And I was a bit confused at first trying to figure out what it is. But it's quite simple, it's literally just a water wall. However, I will say it is absolutely beautiful, especially at night when the lights are on. I drove by it many times during the day and it always seemed to be busy but I never got the chance to stop by. It was fairly busy at night too however, the wall is large and there were plenty of space/opportunity for everyone to take their own pics without getting in each other's way. The park/area around the wall are also very nice, great place to go if you want to take a walk after eating nearby or even to have a little picnic at the park. Parking was limited to street parking and a couple of parking garages near by however, some of the parking garages closer to the wall were specific to residential facilities.
google avatar

Juanita S.

Yelp
My daughter visited the waterfall months ago and I had to stop here first when we drove to Houston. I had to see the falls for myself and it was beautiful. I suggest if you go, to use the visitors parking because they will tow your car if you park along the falls.
google avatar

Kenneth E.

Yelp
Was a good time and something to do while visiting Houston. We were waiting for a reservation so we took the time to explore some parks good time
google avatar

Amber D.

Yelp
This was a lot of fun before going down the street to get lunch. Nice park green space to hang out.
google avatar

Cat N.

Yelp
Nice but can get crowded. If you're in the area then it's worth checking out. It's free but you gotta pay to park. I think its like $3 for 30 minutes parking in the structure. I find 30 minutes to be enough time though. While out in Houston I visited this place twice. Both times were nice. The second time I took my parents and they seemed to really enjoyed it.
google avatar

Daniela R.

Yelp
This is a tourist must! Or even just for a Houstonian looking for a fun, aesthetic photoshoot. Its truly so beautiful. There is a beautiful lawn to walk across, have a picnic. There is a parking garage right across for $5+ or if you're lucky somehow you can TRY for find a spot somewhere but I would just stick to the garage to be safe haha this place is truly majestic and so gorgeous
google avatar

Nick P.

Yelp
You can find free parking nearby at the mall and a short walk over. The waterwall was cool to see. You can spend 10-15 mins here, walking around it and taking pictures. People over here are nice, they can help you take pictures and you can return the favor. I recommend going when it's warm outside.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a quick photo op. It's worth the trip! There's paid garages nearby. The high waterfall walls are grand as the water cascades around you. It's a sight to see and it starts to look like an illusion if you look closely. It is misty near the walls, so beware on a cold day. It can also get crowded, but people are typically only there for a short time to snap some pictures and move on. They're generally respectful to give you the space for your photos and willing to help out if you need to borrow a photographer. Behind the waterfalls is an open park area, opposite the Williams Tower (an office building that reflects the sky, so go on a blue sky day with some clouds for a stunning pic). Children were running around and enjoying themselves on the lawn on a sunny day. This is a great hangout spot for the locals and a must-see for tourists alike.
google avatar

Annabelle R.

Yelp
This park is simple, yet amazing. A large rectangular field of grass is lined by beautiful trees on two sides, and on one end is the magnificent Williams Tower reaching for the sky, and at the other end is the 64-foot waterwall fountain, with constant water plunging toward the ground, 11,000 gallons to be exact. Photos don't do this monument justice. The experience of walking along the curve of waterwall's semi-circle, standing next to the falling water up close is just special and feels incredible, and I'm not talking about the sprinkles of water that create a mist and dampen your skin and clothing, rather a peaceful and soothing feeling created by the white noise coming from the structure. And the longer you stare at the waterwall, you almost start to feel like you are floating or in another world, everything around you just disappears. If I lived here, I would definitely come here often. Besides the waterwall, there's so much open space for picnicking at the park and lots to appreciate about the nature around you (on the outer side of the waterwall, there is even a forest of seemingly endless trees). We parked in the Galleria parking lot for free about 1-2 blocks away on a Monday morning (MLK holiday), but I'm not sure if it's always free, since I'm unfamiliar with this area and city.
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
This is a great spot to just unwind and enjoy the methodical sound of falling water. Lots of green space to enjoy a picnic, plenty of parking in nearby garage $6 for two hours. My kids enjoyed the outer area of the falls more than the sought out photographed center. There were a large abundance of lady bugs during our visit that may have swayed their decision for wanting to linger there more. Definitely glad to finally check this one off my bucket list of must sees (only took me 9 years).
google avatar

Markeda D.

Yelp
Caution you will get wet, not too much though! But you will also find a lot people taking pictures and videos and they will help you take yours if you ask :)
google avatar

Michele P.

Yelp
We stopped on our way out of Houston and so glad we did! The sound of falling water and the cool damp breezes made a sweltering summer day pleasant. Families having so much fun! Water wall on both sides of the arc. Incredible design.
google avatar

Justin G.

Yelp
The Waterwall is a cool little stop by for a quick photo op but nothing I would go out of the way for. 15 minute max for stop over. Traffic can be pretty annoying so I recommend parking in the Galleria shopping complex for free and walking right over. Expect crowds congregating around the Waterwall during busier hours. There is a nice green space connecting the Waterwall to Williams Tower which is perfect for a picnic to just to relax.
google avatar

Matthew O.

Yelp
This is definitely one of the coolest parks you will find in Houston! Located next to the Galleria, parking can be crazy. But if you manage to snag a spot in the Galleria parking garage, you can walk the 5 minutes to get to the Waterwall. The scale of the Waterwall is just huge and amazing. Standing in the middle, you feel like the hustle and bustle of life gets drowned out by the sounds of water cascading down. The breezes that blow through lifts up the mist and helps cool you off on a hot summer day. Be sure to go early in the day to avoid the afternoon crowds. It may seem like a hassle to go, but if you brave the parking and crowds, you are rewarded with one of the most unique places to visit in Houston :)

Yelp
Thanks to the Nor'easter hitting NY (1/29-1/30/22), my flights were canceled twice. This allotted me a couple extra days in H-Town. Not a total bummer since this trip was mostly for business. The extra days gave me some free time resulting in a visit to Waterwall Park. I welcomed the idea because on my first trip to Houston, I didn't take in many sites. The park is both a tourist & local attraction. The 64-foot-high semi-circular water wall is just south of Williams Tower. This provides two opposing photo opts. You have the natural feeling of the water on one end (it doesn't escape me that it's man-made) and on the other end you have the mirrored looking architecture of a modern business building. All while in the center you have green space consisting of 186 live oak trees grown in Jacksonville, Florida and a 360-foot-long lawn. The Waterfall is massive and the sound of over 11,000 gallons of water per minute cascade down the inner and outer walls of the 64-foot fountain is both soothing and relaxing... even amongst the consistent groups of visitors posing for the perfect IG photo. While there isn't exactly much to do after snapping the perfect shot I can understand how people can spend hours here. The lawn and oak trees allow the perfect escape even among the masses. You can easily find a spot and get lost in a book, the sound of the water or even your thoughts and realize a hour or two has passed in a blink. No matter if you come for a photo or to spend the day, it is worth a visit. Keep in mind the mist is refreshing in the Houston sun but the longer you take to capture that perfect frame you will quickly realize that the cool mist can leave you a little soggy. Please Note: 1-The park can be closed/ the wall off (no water) for maintenance or severe weather concerns. Check before you go. 2-The park has rules and there is a list of both things and activities that are Prohibited and that may require a Permit. I suggest you take a quick look at the site to avoid any un wanted surprises. 3-There is paid parking right across from the park, $5 for 2 hours and $10 for longer. If you don't plan to stay too long you can park for free @ the mall 1/2-1 block away. (However it's @ your own risk)

Yelp
It's a good place to stop by to listen to relaxing sounds of waterfalls and take photos. If you're in the area it's definitely worth a stop to see and maybe linger. When the weather is nice, the area offers a lot of shade to sit and read, have a picnic.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is one of my favorites. Really beautifully done. Free to enter and see. Has near by car garage parking for $10. Beautiful place to stop by and take pictures, recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
beautiful photo spot, but smaller than expected and needs more grass. some people was taking graduation photo at that place and I think it was so cute.
google avatar

Serenity L.

Yelp
Very stunning ! Be aware, if you get too close, the water will get you wet and it is a little slippery closer to the edge. However, it's definitely worth stopping by and taking a look.

Yelp
Located near the galleria mall, this huge waterfall/wall is a nice place to cool down. Definitely stand in the middle to feel the water lightly splashing on you and enjoy the sounds of rushing water surround you. It's quite peaceful. You can also walk around the outside which also has water running. In front of the water wall is a large green space and many benches in the shade. Definitely come visit this, it's free of charge.

A Foodie's Life N.

Yelp
Went here to eat some dumplings 6/8. By the time we got there there was already a bunch of people at the park. Some people were fancily dressed and then you just had families walking around. Sat on a bench and ate. Good place to people watch. There's a parking garage for like 5$. The park is beautiful, there was a part where the trees were planted like a long hallway, but you also had well maintained lawn. There was also a slight slope from the sidewalk to the lawn and many people sat on the slope. Slope also had shade from the trees. The waterfall is impressive and it does feel cool with the water rushing down. Its a peaceful park. There were also policeman w/ horses - not sure if this was a typical thing or not.

Yelp
I've been living in the galleria area for about 7 years, but I finally was able to visit the famous waterwall when my cousins came to town as they wanted to check out what Houston has to offer. We went during the weekend in the afternoon, so there were quite a few people already congregated in the area. I should also mention that they came during the World Series, so there were even more people than usual. While there is paid street parking available, I would recommend parking 2 blocks away in the parking garage for the mall. If you see signs about Macy's or Nordstrom, you'll know you're in the right place. Although my cousins enjoyed the view and took some cute photos, I really don't think this is a MUST to visit when you're in town. If you have time though, by all means! Pro tip: If you want to take photos with no one around during peak hours, try taking them on the sides than in the front. Another thing is to watch where you step; some dog owners aren't so responsible, so there might be some nasty findings left behind on the lawn.
google avatar

Jazmin T.

Yelp
Great place to visit for the day and picnic or have a date night or just hang with friends! The weather was perfect for hanging in the park and there's a parking garage close by with tons of space!

Ashley C.

Yelp
Sign says it is closed till January 2025 as of October 12th. Both sides. No water was running.
google avatar

Susanne B.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to experiencing this since so many travel blogs highly recommended it. Unfortunately during our visit in early April, the waterfall was completely turned off, and the entrance to the surrounding building was even blocked off by gates. Clearly I should have checked on the website prior to wasting a long time in busy traffic to get to the park, I didn't realize that the waterfall is closed for several weeks at a time for cleaning and refurbishment. My advice: Learn from our mistake and check the website prior to going.

Yelp
Nestled in a bustling urban area, the Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park is a beautiful place to visit. It has a large area of lush, green grass in front of a mammoth sculptural fountain. Benches are scattered along the walkway on the perimeter of the lawn, where visitors can sit, relax, and enjoy the peaceful park. I'm glad the park wasn't crowded when we went because it was easier to enjoy the beauty of the fountain. I've always loved fountains of all shapes and sizes, but the Waterwall really stood out to me due to its towering height. The semi-circle enclosure of water transports you to a serene escape from the busy streets nearby. The slight misting spray from the breeze and the subtle roar of the falling water further enhances the experience. Not only is the Waterwall a great place to go for taking photos, but it is located directly across an unobstructed Williams Tower--another architectural beauty that is picture-worthy.

Yelp
Idk what to rate this tbh cuz it was not running when we came to visit on a Monday afternoon on August 22 :( We were really excited to see the waterfall in action and were disappointed when we got there
google avatar

Marineya V.

Yelp
This is such a gorgeous place it's very clean and you can also have a picnic there with family and friends!
google avatar

Bre S.

Yelp
When the weather is right, this is an amazing space. I love how close it is to the Galleria yet outdoorsy plenty of space for the kids to run when it's hot outside. The cool mist of water is a well welcomed that comes off this beautiful monument wish there was better parking close by.
google avatar

Amber T.

Yelp
Highly recommend when visiting Houston! Great photo ops here and perfect place to cool down with the mist from the hot humid temps in Houston. Even with it being such a hot spot for tourists to visit; There are many walls to take photos. Just a tip: be prepared to get wet from the mist especially when inside the wall.
google avatar

Maggie L.

Yelp
This was my favorite attraction in Houston! Not only is it a creative idea, it's a very smart idea to situate a waterfall in the middle of Houston so visitors can cool down through the mist of the fall. This is also a great photo opportunity! My family and I spent some time taking pictures and getting our body temperatures down, then checked out the Galleria mall nearby.
google avatar

Sandra R.

Yelp
Such an amazing structure. Once you pull up to the park the sight of it automatically puts you at awe. Parking is limited. Honesty we just parked in a no parking area took a picture and rushed back in the car. It's the only thing at the park besides a grassy area for maybe a picnic. It's really a must see if you're in the Houston area being a tourist. It's for sure on the top of the list!
google avatar

Lee B.

Yelp
Cool place, great pictures! It's a great place to visit when you're in the area. Very scenic, and it wasn't too crowded when I went.
google avatar

Sharon H.

Yelp
On my recent trip to Houston! We decided to visit the Waterwall. This was a beautiful Center piece of Houston! The wall is tall and the water gives off a cool breeze when standing close. A great place to take some fantastic pictures when on vacation and a great remembrance of this awesome city! Until next review Kisses

Yelp
Leave it to me to come on a rainy day here. Lol. This giant waterfall is located right next to the Galleria. We parked in Nordstrom's parking garage, and walked a couple blocks to get here. This is a nice picture taking, Instagram worthy spot. Because of this, just be ready to wait while other people finish taking pictures before it's your turn. Once you do start taking pictures, be prepared to get a little wet. It's worth it to see and hear the grandness of this waterfall. Tread lightly after you're done so you don't slip and fall. Overall, this is a nice spot to visit in Houston if you want something fun to do during this COVID-19 pandemic.
google avatar

Danielle P.

Yelp
I did a little research before visiting and the waterfall was on my list of must do first. Its close to the Galleria mall. It didn't disappoint at all, I went early Saturday morning to beat the crowds. Nice park area with really pretty trees are on the side walks upon entering. This is definitely worth spending some time here. I saw quite a few people eating or having picnics in the front lawn area. Great place to take some pics, everyone was being respectful not photo bomb others. I walked around the outside and inside, you will get a little wet. It cool due to the weather in Houston was hot and dry for a September. I would actually visit again to relax or meet up with friends. They do have parking lots close in proximity.
google avatar

Bree R.

Yelp
What an aesthetically pleasing little waterfall park!! Super crowded, but don't worry, people will move out the way when they see you're trying to take photos! Not much to see besides the waterfall though. But it was a cute quick stop during our ride home to our Airbnb!
google avatar

Maria F.

Yelp
This place is walking distance to the mall. The water falls sound is soothing. Very interesting architecture. I think it's worth seeing.

Yelp
Well what else are you going to do with all this beauty? You take it to Gerald Hines Waterwall and do as people have done for years: take pictures . It's the place to see and be seen. Kids love it, just enough grass to run snd play. Dogs love it, fresh air . Photographers, brides, moms the list is endless of the typography photos you can capture at this beautiful wall rushing with water.
