I looooove paella, but so few places serve it and fewer make it well. On a short getaway, we found a farmer's market in Occidental. Gerard's Paella had a booth. When we walked by the first time the Paella was cooking in the giant pans. Later we returned and ordered the chicken and shrimp Paella. We were served a generous bowl of goodness. Loaded with chicken, shrimp, veggies, it was the best Paella I've had in this country. It was full of flavor. The crispy bits of rice from the bottom of the pan are my favorite. I'm so happy to find them. Ill be searching for their future events.
