Amazing venue😍🫶🏻 The views are incredible and they were prepared with a large water fountain to hydrate on a extremely hot day; honestly could of placed maybe 2 more of those fountains around the venue since there was only one by the concession stands on one side. There were misting fans around the stage for people to cool off and that was a big plus! Also one of the parking lot attendants said it was okay to take chairs on the lawn when it clearly wasn't. The staff at the gate didn't mention it either when scanning our tickets and it wasn't until we were getting bag checked that they let us know we were not allowed to take our chairs in so we had to walk all the way back just to drop them off. (Luckily they had some trolleys that would give you a free ride to the entrance.) The updated email sadly went to our spam folder with all that info and could of avoided that huge inconvenience. Other than that it was a great time but be prepared with hats, hand fans and light outerwear for this extreme 90°+heat!

Surprisingly, good views from most of the seats. Beverage and food items, while expensive, offered good quality. A tram to ferry patrons from outer parking to the amphitheater was rather easy to use, but be prepared to wait during peak times. Staffing levels were adequate to good for gate entry and better inside the event grounds. Attached are pictures from ADA seating of section 103 row X

Google
Pros: Not bad for an outside venue. Speakers were great at projecting. Commissary workers were polite and moved lines quickly. Same with ticket checks. General (free) parking was well organized with the help of assistants. Cup holders on every seat in front of you. Cons: Food was dry or burnt even though we ordered early. Seats are very small as to my child having to lean in on me. The headliner was rained out and security would not let us use the bathroom before being kicked out. Also made a group of 50 ppl stand in the heavy rain while letting 5 cars pass in 10 minutes. Just made us stand there when no cars were coming. We also had an hour left of music we didn't get to see but not even a small refund.

Google
Really nice venue just be prepared to walk from parking areas. Don Felder(eagles), REO & Styx. The music was great. It is an open-air arena not a bad seed in the house. Sections 104 and 105 seem to be the preferred we almost made it through the whole show before the storms moved in other than that had an exceptional night

Went to the Germania Insurance Amphitheater for the first time. Very nice, clean and plenty of restrooms. They also had water stations so you can stay hydrated. Only downside was no shade near the stage area.

First time to this Venue. Spacious but not hard to get around. Seating, Sound, Lighting and just the Energy was great at this Amphitheatre.

Went to the Summer of the Loud with my boyfriend, and we had an amazing time! Definitely recommend getting a hat or umbrella to help cover from the sun it was HOT

At this point, I have been to a handful of concerts here. Of course, the food is overpriced along with the drinks, however, the experience has always been consistent. The sound quality never faltered and I have had pretty good luck getting in and out of the facility. Having such a world class facility in Austin is a real blessing and I look forward to seeing more shows here soon!

Yelp
Saw Lana Del Rey here when she came to Austin in 2023. The venue was wonderful and prepared, intimate yet somehow still spacious. The lawn and food trucks make for enjoyable waiting time before the show, though the options were predictably overpriced and of low quality. The stage is always in great view no matter your specified seat, and the sound system is especially loud and perfect even for the loudest of concert crowds. LDR herself liked playing here! Need her to come back.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience seeing Tiësto at this amphitheater after the F1 US Grand Prix! The amphitheater has many seats in the front and a grassy standing area in the back. We stood at the back and had a great view of the whole stage. The sound quality was excellent and we really enjoyed the lighting effects. The only reason why I rated it 4/5 stars is that finding amphitheater can be a bit tricky as the venue sits in the middle of the Circuit of Americas. There also didn't seem to be many entrances/exits, which probably causes issues at the beginning and end of shows.

Yelp
Fun first experience at Germanic Insurance Amphitheater! The stage is wide enough that most seats were plenty close to see everything and at the best slope to see over other people, even for a shorty like me. They didn't use them, but they do have a a screen on both sides of the stage. Maybe this concert wasn't sold out enough to justify using them? There was a lot more opportunity for shade than I had anticipated due to it being an outside venue. Various places casted large shadows and wind tunnels that made being in July TX 100+ heat all day easily manageable and not crowded. They had a tent that had misters and large fans and had multiple areas of free, self-serve, cold water. There are a few different options for food including a vegan option! Prices weren't great, but that's all sports venues really. The only downfall was the walk from the Very far parking (lot D for no apparent good reason). WE pasted many empty lots that were closer to the entrance and nothing else was going on their that same day. They had One small bus (could hold about 15 individuals) to transport people back and forth from parking to the entrance. We were lucky enough to catch one, but saw tons of people walking about a mile in the heat on hot pavement. The walk felt nice after the show though! Our pictures are from Section 202, Row C, Seats 3-5 during Sad Summer Fest.

Yelp
Excellent experience in every way!!! Parking, entry, food and drink options, bathrooms, watering stations, ushers, seating, sound system, exiting, everything!!! Superb.

Yelp
The food and service are pretty bad, but no worse than most other venues of this nature. The ambiance... I find this place cold and sterile. I've seen a couple of good shows when I've been up real close, but the vastness of it makes it nearly impossible for most bands to connect with all but the first coupla sections. But apart from that, the parking layout makes getting in and out of the venue a very long walk and they cancel shows with little or no communication. Tonight, I drove nearly an hour from Leander, TX all the way to Del Valle, TX only to find that my show had been cancelled. I checked the venue website maybe an hour or two before I left and there was no mention of cancellation even though I know it was known to them before this time. They saw fit to take the even page down, but as this was already a rescheduled show from an earlier date, I figured maybe they just never did a new event page. I had no email or text indicating the show would not happen and Germania's website had no announcement of a cancellation, so... off I went to waste a half a tank of gas and the better part of my evening. I never say "never", but it's gonna take one helluva band (and one that i've not seen before) to get me to even consider going back to this place. And I live for concerts (usually hit 8-12 per year), but not the way this place does 'em.

Yelp
This is a great amphitheater. It's a little bit of a drive, but I think it's worth it for the sound quality vs. an indoor facility, and only traffic in the area is getting in or out (unlike the Moody center) but moves fast due to traffic control clean, safe, plenty of parking both free and paid. Free parking in Lot A is only about an 8-12 minute walk depending how fast you walk. Security and tickets line move fast. Plenty of food and drink options available both alcohol and non alcoholic. Corn Hole grassy area picnic table area.bar area rises there is a lot to do and pass time once you get there. Large misting fans were running to cool down on hot day. At this time, they allowed 1 unopened water bottle per person and had refill stations available throughout.

Yelp
My second time here! We watched Avenged Sevenfold! The venue had ample bathrooms. They were clean and easy to find. The best bathrooms I have seen at a venue this large! I had gotten some pizza and a bottled water - each vendor had different prices (all inflated but not out of the norm). The ticket booth was easy to find and the service was great! The ticket booth attendants were very friendly and helpful! Removing a star from my rating because the line to enter was a hot mess. They didn't have organized lanes for you to enter so the lines went all over the place. The parking was easy to get to. We paid extra for the preferred parking lot.

Carlos B.

Yelp
It's a nightmare. Parking is a mile away, they cancel/postpone shows minutes from happening, etc.

Misty J.

Yelp
The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is because unless you have VIP parking be prepared to walk your tail off. :) Otherwise; it was an awesome venue with plenty of vendors, great sound, loved watching the sunset, and there's really not a bad seat in the house.

Erika D.

Yelp
Came here to watch Khruangbin and they did not disappoint. This is a flat, open amphitheater. It's quite pretty when you're walking in - open skies, interesting art fixtures that emit fire at the entrance, and food trucks inside. I really liked the food trucks cause there were so many options and we get to support local with reasonable prices. My partner and I got food from a Venezuelan food truck - the tostones were so good to snack on before and during the show. The people at a Khruangbin show are always so friendly and fun to party with. Given that this venue is so spread out, it wasn't bad to stand, sit, or walk around during the set. I can imagine how tough it could be to sit here in the hot ass sun though, there's no shade.

Yelp
Went to a concert in the amphitheater for the first time about five years ago. Yelp decided to remove the review today (five years later) because it was on the COTA page and not this one. So here it is again *eyeroll*. The bands were amazing. Better than amazing. Honestly the amphitheater itself was much smaller than I expected and they definitely oversold the lawn because people were stepping on each other and pouring down the stairs because there wasn't room. Oddly the sound was almost overly loud to the point the music was distorted on some songs, but maybe it was me. Be prepared to smell every kind of smoke there is and it won't matter if you move. I don't remember seeing much security and the parking lot is not well lit. It's not a place you'd want to walk alone. Entering and parking is confusing because if you don't know which lot you're supposed to be in, you could head the wrong direction. Vendors on the lawn were poorly stocked with water given that was August. Took asking three different guys before we found water. A can of Stella was $10 and is more expensive now of course. I will say it was clean, there was plenty of food offerings and it was nice that parking was free given that Ticketmaster charges upward of $15 for service fees. The shuttle guys were awesome. I'm just not a fan of this amphitheater and have been back about four times since I originally wrote this review and it's steadily the same experience but I really wanted to see the groups that were playing.

Yelp
This is my first time at this venue. It's a decent venue. The music sounds decent. I wish it was a bit more enclosed for the sound. It's not as amped as other amphitheaters I've been to. It's not very big either which makes it better to see the stage. I'm sure that if we had front row tickets it would have been alot better. I will definetly be going back here though. They have some good shows coming up.

Yelp
I took my daughter and friend to the Lana Del Rey concert. The venue was easy to get to. The sound was great. Several drink vendors set up. Paid for preferred parking Lot D which was close. We had general admission tickets on the lawn. We got there early to get settled for the show. You can not bring beach chairs. Only a blanket or towel not to exceed the size of a beach towel. We were enjoying the opening band and the company of most of the people sitting around us. One of whom hurt her knee earlier that day and had a hard time bending it. There was one lady however that totally cussed out and threatened another lady for accidentally touching her boyfriend's foot. As it got closer for Lana Del Rey to perform the crowd grew and grew. No doubt they oversold general admission tickets. The lawn became pretty packed and behind the lawn area and the ramps too. I was thinking would if there was an emergency? I never once saw any security other than close to the stage. I checked the venue website for a phone number but there is not one. As soon as Lana Del Rey took the stage the massive crowd of people rushed forward to get closer. All the people who came early enough to find a spot to sit and enjoy the concert had to get up and stand. I had to quickly gather our things as the crowd moved it. It was the crappiest concert experience ever. We could not see the stage, only glimpses of it and the big screens. People were crowded in like sardines. I stood holding all our stuff trying hard to enjoy the concert and keep an eye on my daughter and her friend. My daughter has some medical conditions. I was concerned that there was no security to control the crowd. No effort on the part of the venue to make any announcement about staying seated and no effort on Lana Del Rey's part to encourage staying seated. Nobody had any common sense or decency. I wondered what happened to the girl with the injured leg when the crowd rushed in. I know they can't stop everyone from breaking the rules or being so stupid but security may deter some of that stupid behavior. Maybe there would be less people smoking pot. I don't care if a person makes that choice but it was a bit much after a while. Anyway, it really was the crappiest concert experience ever. Would not go there again.

Ashleigh J.

Yelp
Based on my experience at this amphitheater twice in the last month, I can definitely say I really enjoy it. I like that even if you get lawn seats, you are still pretty close to the stage and it is easy to see. There is a lot of lawn space, And you can easily bring blankets and just kind of set up your own area. There are tons of different food options, including pizza, tacos, small snacks, etc. There are also a variety of drinks, and beer options. Yes, they are expensive, but what do you expect at a concert venue. You are allowed to bring a small water bottle in as long as it's sealed, and they have free water near the bathrooms for refilling. Bathrooms were clean, and easy to find. I definitely really enjoy this venue!

Debi T.

Yelp
It was 101 yesterday when we went to a concert. A little planning went a long way to make the event pleasant. You are allowed one 20 oz bottle of water. I froze ours to keep them cold longer. I put them in a gallon zip lock bag along with those neck bands that keep you cool when they are wet. The frozen bottles kept the neck bands cold and they were awesome to put on while the sun was still up. As the sun set, there was a nice breeze. The frozen bottles also made a sort of mini cooler that we could use for an extra drink so we didn't have to stand in line as much. Over all, it wasn't a bad experience and the concert was fabulous!

Yelp
Warning: Never buy VIP experience or premium seats at Germania Amphitheater!!! When we arrived for the pre show VIP experience (in 100+ degree heat), they lined us up in the blazing sun, then they took us down into the main venue pit, where a small tent was set up for the band, but no shade for the guests. They then asked us 100 or so 'VIP' guests, to sit on the blistering hot concrete ground. With all the hospitality facilities available at COTA, this was the best setup offered for VIP guests?!? At the very least some fold out chairs should have been offered. Even the band seemed uncomfortable with the scenario as they commented on it a couple times. Then we proceed to our front row 'premium' seats that were simply fold out chairs in the pit, divided from the pit with a metal fence. With zero elevation, this meant that we at the same level as the standing pit ticket holders, which meant that we couldn't use our seats at all. What an awful experience for a very expensive price. Never again.

Yelp
We went to a concert tonight, tenacious d, and this very over weight couple were seated next to us. We were all standing and the guy was so large he stood infront of not pnly his seat but mine and i got pushed back. My husband asked him if he could move over because i had no room. His statement to hos female companion was these people are so f****** rude asking me to move. He did switch with the female but then ahe told me im a f****** b**** that there is no room. However, they then sat and she purposely put her legs in front of my chair so i could not pull the seat down and wrapped her arm around my seat, and kept elbowing my leg and ass. I stood the whole concert. When the show was closing she got up and started to push me. This was a horrible experience. They were so large they made it impossible for people to sit next to them. Thank you for having me pay for a seat that i couldn't use, waste of money. thank you for allowing some one who should have paid for two tickets get a massive discount, and the rest of us suffered. There is also no response from this place by phone or the 7 emails i have sent. horrible horrible. 0 stars.

Yelp
Hey bands: Quit booking show at this place anytime close to the summer. It's a giant bowl that bakes in the sun all day. You owe it to your fans not to cook them.

Joseph L.

Yelp
It's wild how this amphitheater doesn't have covered seating like it's Texas competitors (Dos Equis in Dallas and Cynthia Woods in Houston). If you come here during the summertime, get ready to bake under the sun while standing on scorching concrete. There are very few free water stations -- nowhere near enough for 14,000 people. But hey, they'll sell you a small bottle of water for $5!! This place is giving Woodstock '99.

Joannie B.

Yelp
The venue is nice. Highly suggest purchasing the C parking upgrade. With that said, they do have a tendency to over sell their concerts and whatever you do "DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR EVENT UPGRADE from VIP NATION!". We did for Incubus and it was a complete rip-off! Didn't get any of the merchandise promised, MixHalo didn't work, no signed limited poster, and the VIP host was the worst. More focused on parting with others than being a host. It your JOB to provide some type of hospitality not completely ignore those who paid good money for something so you can personally enjoy a concert. It's called a job for a reason. The only reason I am giving this venue a 2 is because the seats were good and performance was good. Overall experience is less than that. Greatly disappointed

Shannon L.

Yelp
I have been to several shows here this year and a great venue happy employees ! Merch lines moving fast a lot of food and drink vendors ! No wait times getting in ! Parking even a breeze ! Bathrooms clean ! Not a bad seat in the house ! Thank you to all the staff for making the evening a great one !

Phillip M.

Yelp
This person is the rudest person EVER! Had ticket trouble and would even tell me the time let alone help me with the issue. Customer Service?!? More like venue service. You are here to serve them.

Blyth P.

Yelp
I feel so safe and secure knowing that my dangerous towel at less than 2 inches over regulation size, despite being shared by 2 people, was taken away. Got to sit directly on the wet grass while watching the bands, joy. There's rules and then there's a pure lack of logic on the part of policy.

Ana A.

Yelp
I am a huge music junkie! This is one of the music venues I really enjoy. There's GA, seating and lawn available. I usually get the lawn. The tickets are cheaper and the viewing is just as good. The amphitheater sells food and drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic). Prices are a little high but that'll be at any music venue you attend. Sometimes they do have specials. For the lawn you are able to take a small blanket as long as it doesn't exceed a specific length. Lawn chairs are no longer accepted. Hand bags have to be clear or a certain size. They are getting a bit picky with what is now accepted in but it actually helps in my opinion. The venue has screens both left and right of the stage for a view. They also have screens in the very back on a separate lawn for those that don't wanna be in the crowd but just relax and see from afar (no stage view) strictly screen. They have a VIP area which you can purchase when getting your tickets. The area has its own seating and bar. Available only to those with VIP tickets. It can be a walk from the parking lots to the main entrance but I won't complain cause the parking is free! Who offers that anymore?! Plus they have the people on bikes who can offer you a ride (for a fee of course). I have been there several times and I will continue to purchase tickets to this venue.

Belly G.

Yelp
Note that this review is for RESERVED SEATING only. I have no experience sitting in the lawn section. Came here to see Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars. Wasn't really sure what to expect since I'd never been here before. When one of my friends told me that this Amphitheater is located in the same complex that houses the F1 track, I got kind of excited because, Formula ONE! My main concern about coming here was parking. I was tempted to get VIP parking because it seemed like all the other parking lots would require you to walk a good distance to the entrance. To my surprise, however, there were plenty of shuttles that would take you from the parking lots to the main entrance. As I was walking from my car toward the shuttle stop, I saw people getting on the shuttle and that it was getting full. By the time I got there, the shuttle was full and I had to wait for another one. I thought it was going to be a little while until the next shuttle came but this wasn't the case; not even two minutes later, another shuttle showed up. And as people were boarding the shuttle, I could see another shuttle approaching. If you're thinking about getting VIP parking, save your money and just park in the regular parking lots and take the shuttle. There was a line going to get inside the venue. They WILL PAT YOU DOWN! Which is about the only thing I'm not okay with. I'm okay with the metal detector, I'm okay with you waving your wand at me. I'm not okay with you touching me, my butt, etc. This is not the airport and if you want to grab my butt, at least buy me a drink first! Walking toward the amphitheater, there's a food truck area inside the venue although during this particular event, there wasn't that many. There's also a designated area to sit down and enjoy your meals. Pay attention to beer pricing. If I recall correctly, the beer pricing at the concession stands was higher than if you were to get one from one of those beer stands. I think domestic beer pricing was $12 vs. $8 or something like that. I didn't take pictures of the prices, but I do remember talking to my friend about the pricing. Now let's talk about the amphitheater. It's all open space which means: (1) If it rains, you will get wet. (2) People will be smoking. And not just cigarettes, if you know what I mean. (3) When the sun is shining hot, you will sweat! Dress comfortably. Now, with that said. If general admission (standing room) is an option, I highly suggest you go and do that. I had a reserved seat, and even though it was in the 4th row, I still had a hard time seeing the stage because people in front of me were always standing up. And they were bigger/taller people as well. And since there were also people to my left and right, I was pretty much stuck having to see somebody else's backside. NOT COOL. The sound system was pretty good for someone sitting in the 4th row. Not sure how the sound system would fare toward the back in the lawn section. But to compare this to The Woodland's Cynthia Mitchell Pavilion, the Austin360's sound system is, in my opinion, far superior Once the concert was over, I opted to walk back to my car although the shuttles were still out in full forces. However, since there were thousands of people leaving at the same time (vs.people coming in at different times at the beginning), I opted to walk back to my car. It took about 10 minutes from the venue back to my car, and another 5-10 minutes until I was back on the road. Again, I was plenty surprised at how easy it was to leave. If there's another band that I want to see and they decide not to make a stop in Houston but here at Austin360 amphitheater instead, I wouldn't hesitate to come back. STANDING ROOM ONLY!

Paul D.

Yelp
Live music is not dead where venues like this one keeps events booked with big name artists. This facility can hold a 14,000 people with different price points and seating options. There is standing room an the front of the stage, club seating next up in middle and normal seating up two levels. Back you have the H-E-B Lawn so you can lay down on a towel and relax versus sitting in a chair. Early birds get the prime spots and you can claim a table next to the railing with perfect views. If you prefer the 360BLACK treatment then you can watch the show from the Crown Royal tent. There are lots of different types of food trucks and drink choices. You can even make an order from your phone using the FanFood app. Lots of places to hangout either next to food trucks or on a soccer field watching the performer on a big screen but still hear the sound from the stage. The sound is actually excellent for an outdoor venue. I have been to many across the country and this one is the best. The stage is huge and having the COTA Tower behind make it even more impressive. Getting here for newcomers can be confusing but I noticed the signage has improved. Lot A is the main one where either there is a charge or free. You can upgrade to B, C, or D. The walk from Lot A is a bit far but there is a shuttle and bike peddlers. Sometimes Lot F is open. All drop offs including ride sharing has been moved to Lot H. This place is rain or shine and I been here for both. Only lightning will either delay or cancel shows. There are built in restrooms on either side of stage and next to concessions (Turn 15). There is also plenty of port-o-potties located behind the stage. Overall it is a great amphitheater and always have a great time here.

Jake H.

Yelp
I always enjoy going to concerts here. The acoustics are pretty good and I always try to get seats in my preferred section, 103. You sometimes have to pay for parking depending on the concert. Get ready to get your steps in. The seats aren't covered by a roof so bring a poncho if there is a chance of rain. It's a fun venue and if you are in Austin for something at the Formula 1 track, there are often concerts here at the same time.

Bobby H.

Yelp
The parking SUCKS. If you wind up out in the F lot. Use the bike taxis. Seriously. And drop a pin where you park. I walked around for 45 minutes trying to find my car. If it wasn't for a bike taxi, I'd of have been looking for probably another :30. Aside from that the food sucks and the beer is expectedly overpriced.

Hannah M.

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went to the Alt-J concert this past weekend and had the worst (venue) concert experience I've ever had in my life. 100% due to the staff, not the venue**. I bought tickets back in December for a friends Christmas present. We show up to the concert, go through security, literally run to the entrance to floor seating. The person manning the entrance asked for our wristbands and we said no one gave us any (no one offered or mentioned this to us).... we go back and forth and he says they should've given you wristbands at security. I said "I have the tickets right here" and he said, curtly, "nothing I can do you have to go back." We run ALL the way back to security - the man who supposedly had the wristbands said he ran out and there was "nothing he could do." We explain to him we were sent back to him and he rudely repeated himself. We go back to the entrance and talk to several people who repeated "we ran out of wristbands" and "without a wristband you can't get in".... despite the $80 (apiece) tickets I had in my hands. We spoke to at least 5 people who repeated the same statement to us. A wonderful man named Mike overheard us asking someone else and decided he would walk us in. We STILL had resistance DESPITE the fact that an EMPLOYEE was escorting us in. Even more shocking to see one employee treat a fellow colleague with such disrespect. From human to human, this was unbelievable. They finally reluctantly let us in after I showed them only one ticket (didn't even ask for the second one). How is it possible a CONCERT venue ran out of wristbands, and refused to let us in despite the fact that is was the venue's fault they ran out of such a needed item. It's a concert venue, and you ran out of wristbands?? Wouldn't be a problem if that was everyone's argument for why we couldn't get into what we paid $160 for. Unbelievable. Everyone we spoke to (except Mike) was incredible rude, unprofessional, un-empathetic, and did not want to listen (except Mike, thank you so much Mike). Shocking that's what $160 + fees got us. I will never go here again, and I will tell everyone else I know never to do so either.

Yelp
I looove this venue, its become one of my favorites. In the past year I think I've seen four or five shows here, lawn tickets every time (Groupon is the greatest.) I've seen reviews of people complaining about the prices throughout the venue but I think they're pretty average compared to anywhere else I've been. (And since I get all my tickets on Groupon, I honestly feel like I can afford to spend a few extra dollars on water bottles and whatnot.) I've never paid for parking and I've never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus which I find ASTOUNDING. Any other venue I pretty much have to mentally prepare to shell out $15-20 to park but there is free general parking and free shuttles constantly running back and forth and the drop off point is right by the venue gates. There is something pretty specific to this location that can be seen as good or bad, though. Since it is outdoors and they host a variety of entertainment (I've been to multiple concerts and a comedy fest, myself) the regulations on what you can bring in with you can change if you don't do your research on that specific show. In the past I've seen people bring in lawn chairs for the yard but the last show I saw, they were prohibited. In this situation most people would have to make the hike back to their cars to stow any prohibited items (or toss it out depending on your own effort) but they've actually got a tent where you can check your stuff and just pick it up when you're headed out, saves show-goers a ton of effort, I feel. TL;DR, Check Groupon for tickets, $25 to see Gwen Stefani and Eve? Hell yes. $22 for Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg? Uh duhh. GENERAL PARKING IS FREE AND FREE SHUTTLES TAKE YOU RIGHT TO THE VENUE GATE, its great. Not sure if you can bring something in with you? Idk try it, worst outcome is you'll just check it at the gate and pick it up when you're headed out.

Yelp
Awesome venue for a concert! There was not a bad seat in the house. I was in the lawn area and still had some great views. The lawn was very well maintained and easy to move around and not to far from getting to bathrooms or stands. Overall I really enjoyed this venue and I look forward to future concerts here.

Yelp
This place has it all, high prices, far seats on the grass and far far parking. I will stick with frank Erwin whenever I'm wanting to see a show. Counting crows didn't even play their best hits which really made me leave besides paying 10 for a hot dog. You heard me right a hot dog. Least the soda was 6 and not ten. Great food truck selection and easy access to restrooms on walk to car. Well lit walking path to and from car, would recommend Small vehicles for those leaving early to drive them to their car

Yelp
I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. There is plenty of parking, a ton of restrooms and you don't have to hike miles to get a drink or food. The layout is very well thought out. I love that there are Austin food trucks, and even frozen drinks for adults- it's Texas- we've needed this! Somehow for the concert we went to, they never made you pay for parking, which was awesome. My negative is that there is only 1 water refill station- there needs to be at LEAST one more. Something I learned is you can bring in an empty container (reusable or not) and just fill it with water at the refill station...once again it's Texas. This is a great idea

Yelp
What a great outdoor concert venue. Tons of parking, either free with a bit of a hike or premium for a reasonable fee. Plenty of eats and drinks from which to choose. Food trucks. Wifey and I had great seats up front and enjoyed our show. Leaving was just as easy. Two thumbs way up!

Yelp
This is the worst organized venue. Paid for VIP GA only to end up at the back of the GA line after VIP activities. The venue did not communicate and is the reason why all of VIP was angry and upset. Never coming here again.

Yelp
Okay, let's just start this out by saying a venue this far out of Austin shouldn't really have Austin in its name. Unless you live east of I-35 and very far south, just getting there will be a hike. Once you reach your designated parking lot, following the frantic arm-waving of the parking lot attendants who could certainly be hired to direct 747s, you will have another long hike to reach the actual amphitheater. It will feel like entering Six Flags or Astroworld, complete with lazily rotating shuttle buses that are scarily packed and smelly. Enter those fire-hazard pickpocket grope-fest vehicles at your own risk. A walk is healthy. If you're going to pay one of those guys $10 a person one way to bicycle you in his cart to the door, you might as well have paid the $20 for VIP parking closer up. Allow 15 minutes to walk from your car in the standard parking lot to the gate and by all means ladies, wear flat shoes! Do not think you're going to wear that cute rocker concert attire you spent hours picking out to see your favorite band. You are going to hike, you are going to sit outside under the hot sun, and you are going to sweat like a pig. If you bought a seat, and you should have, at least no one will be rubbing up against you against your will during the show. The lawn at the recent Rush show was soggy, packed to standing room only, and mostly filled with men. So on second thought, if you're there to meet people, maybe a lawn seat isn't so bad. I silently thanked God as I snaked through the sweaty lawn crowd that I had spent the extra 20 bucks for a numbered seat. The sound system is good, not overblown, but somehow the sound still echoes around just like at the Erwin Center. How did they do that? The food is overpriced just like the Erwin Center as well. No outside food or drinks, you're sweating, and a bottle of water is $4. Um... Oh, and the bathrooms consist of port-a-potties. Yes. And they stink to high heaven, even at the beginning of the night. It's like the last day of ACL Fest. The ticket prices are usually fair, considering the extra hassle to attend a concert here. So the venue has that going for it. Just eat first, try not to have to pee, and treat it like a day hike or a camping trip to see a band. That's my best advice on the matter.

Yelp
After reading previous reviews I did not have high expectations for this place but after visiting tonight, I was pleasantly surprised. We went to the Chicago and Earth Wind & Fire show; we had lawn seats. Coming up from San Antonio, it is rather annoying to pretty much be forced into taking a toll road to get to the venue. Traffic after the exit moved slow but steady up to the venue. We bought premium parking in lot C for $25 and saved us what looked like a solid mile walk from lot A. Once inside the venue, there was ample room to walk around with a good variety of food and booze available. Of course food and drink was outrageously priced but they let you bring in one bottle of water per person so long as it's sealed. The lawn is a great spot in my opinion. You can see the stage plus there's big screens and unlike reserved seats you're not stuck with the people around you. Annoying guy nearby on the lawn? Just get up and find a new spot, no problem. This might be difficult for sold out shows but tonight was a large crowd but not sold out. The sound tonight was good with a pretty even mix for so many musicians on the stage. I will definitely return to this view and it encourages me to see more shows here. Ignore the whiners who say it's too far outside of Austin or that food/drink is too expensive (sadly the norm everywhere now).

Yelp
I was worried after reading the reviews, so I had low expectations going in. I was pleasantly surprised on my recent visit for the Dave Matthews Band. It's true: - it's probably an average 30 minute drive for most folks to get there from Austin. - drinks are pricey ($8-$9 for a 16 oz can of beer, $6 for iced-tea, $5 for a soda), but that's expected for concert venues and movie theaters, right? - it's weird they obviously put a ton of money into the venue and ended up with "jumbo" trons the size of the TV most folks have in their living rooms these days. - you can't take in chairs with legs, and you have to do some detective work to figure out if blankets are allowed or not (it depends on the show). The venue in terms of close-up seating and sound quality is excellent. I envisioned terrible general lawn seating, but we were able to perch ourselves on the stools lined up in the back and from there it was a great view of the stage (albeit not super close, but I don't really care when the sound projecting all the way to the back is crystal clear). If I were to do the lawn GA again, I would hope for the stools but if not I'd be prepared to stand the entire concert (it's too cramped an area to remain seated). Maybe they've worked out some of their kinks, because I thought the parking deal was pretty organized. Although the standard lots are far there is a shuttle that runs back-and-forth or you can enjoy a walk around the stadium. I was there on a drizzly evening and we left before the encore, which may be why it was a breeze getting out of the parking lot.

Yelp
We had a great experience at this venue. We did arrive at the time of "doors opening" which I believe was 5:30 at the 7:30 show which I highly recommend. We were on the lawn so we found a spot very easily and it allowed us to get merch, drinks, etc. They had quite a bit of food but we ate before. If you come closer to show time it will be hard to find a spot on the lawn and you will have to squeeze in but at least in our area we weren't packed like sardines. Also everyone was standing but because of the sloped lawn it wasn't a big deal. Drinks were expensive but that's to be expected. My only complaint is there aren't many signs so when we first arrived we weren't sure where to park or where to enter but parking was free. There is quite a bit of a walk from the stadium but we just power walk to and from.

Yelp
Did a show last night at the Austin 360 Amphitheatre. Now I'm giving it 4 stars for a few reasons. First the loading dock is is close to the stage so it's very easy to get the gear to and from the stage. Second of your in the crowd watching a show at this place there really isn't a bad seat or standing section in the Amphitheatre. For a big Amphitheatre it has a intimate feel to it. Over it's a pretty nice and great place to see a show on a nice day.

Yelp
This is a good venue. It's in the middle of nowhere so a rideshare or personal car is gonna be a little expensive and it'll take some time to get back to town... But my main reason for satisfaction is the staff... most event centers of this type offer a TSA-style experience, where employees are either totally cold and snippy, or power tripping over dumb things. Literally everyone I've experienced here actually seemed... enthusiastic. Certainly helpful and not burnt out. Idk if they pay well or just have a good culture. Even once we were smoking in the wrong area and were told "hey you guys can smoke up there" - nothing reprimanding or threatening. They've all been pretty chill. The venue itself is pleasant, walking from the parking lots can be a journey (I think there's a shuttle, and there are certainly pedicabs). Lots of space, good views even high up. It's usually easy to figure out where to go. And yeah you're gonna spend $8.00 on a beer and then $10.00 on gross pizza, but that's par for the course. There are many drink stations, though.

Yelp
I've been to several concerts here and I think they finally got it together on the transportation from parking to the gate. If they would let you park in A it wouldn't be so bad, normally its H or F that is free and it's super far there are little train cars that come by to pick you up. The F parking is terrible it's in the dirt and there is a giant ditch so you have to use the bridge. H parking is okay but it sucks getting out at night. They should figure out the parking better, unless you pay for VIP parking it sucks. The music is good though, it's all outdoor, but the sound is good and there is seating as well as the lawn, and the sides around the bowl that is first come first serve. There are food trailers that line the concert venue. There are some good nacho places, the pizza and sandwich I wasn't too impressed for the price. The kettle corn is always a must for me because it's fresh. They do come around and sell you drinks as well during the show. The seats aren't staggered too well in some areas so if you are short like me you might get screwed with a tall person in front of you and you can't see the stage unless you sit all weird. Overall I'm glad there is another venue in Austin where bigger name people will come play shows at.

Yelp
Love this venue. It's huge and very clean. The bathrooms are great especially for the size venue. I've attended two events there so far and I'm sure I'll be back soon. A tram is offered for those who park in the lot and if you park further out they have a rickshaw service also. The security and event staff is efficient, courteous and professional. Entry is always hassle free and quick. The vendors circulate frequently and are a lot of fun. The best part is that no matter where you are in the whole complex, you don't have a bad seat. Even on the grass you are able to enjoy the show. There are two large screens on either side of the stage for a good view if your are not in the seated areas. Awesome place to see a concert. I've seen the Kings Of Leon and I recently attended Willie Nelson's 44th Annual 4th of July Picnic. Both awesome shows!

Yelp
This place is pretty cool...for any first timer. Not sure if I'd feel like that after having to deal with the traffic getting there and coming back. It is pretty much NOT in Austin in my opinion as one comedian that I went to go see put it. It is about 25-45 minutes South East of Austin right next to that super expensive Formula One track that they built. The route out there is easy enough with various options depending on where you are traveling from. The closer you get, the more you will be getting off bigger roads and highways. You will also notice that it looks like the majority of the traffic traveling with you is more than likely algo going to the venue since it is kind of desolate in that area...for now, (end of summer 2014, I am sure time will change that). The theater area is pretty large and seems to take the entire West area outside of the track. They don't seem to have the best entrance set up, because the lines got ridiculous for the comedy event I went to. Yes, they apparently had 15,000+ people there, but with such crowds, more entrances need to be arranged. There are plenty of food trailers as well as drink carts and drink vendors walking around, but I suppose as with any large event with thousands of people, expect long, long lines. The prices are typical concert venue or ball park prices. $9 for large tasty BBQ sandwiches, or $5 for some weak looking tacos. Took a peek at one dudes and they looked like the veggie options. Felt bad that he got a corn tortilla and "salsa" for $5, but hey, to each his own. My Q sandwich was almost worth the $9, if not on taste alone, at least in size and meat content. Seating is ok if not a little tight together, but with all our butts growing out of proportion, I suppose that is the norm at most locations...and airplanes. It has a large grass seating portion at the back of the theater that allows blankets to non sold-out events. If you happen to bring a blanket or travel chair to one of these and don't want to return it to your vehicle, they will throw it in a pile at the entrance and on your way out, you get to go hunting for it if you want it back. :) That is a site homeless people would love on a cold winter night! I guess it is also a way to acquire other people's blankets if you are into that sort of thing. There are lots of port-a-potties, but they do form long lines. In my opinion, they have plenty of other areas where they could increase the amount to lesson them a bit. Overall, an ok outside venue for large festivals or concerts.

Yelp
Great news: Austin finally has a great large capacity outdoor stadium for concerts. There is not a bad seat in the house. If you've lived here long enough to remember when Southpark Meadows (SPM) was a giant cow pasture with a stage where huge events like HORDE Festival and Lilith Fair were enjoyed by the masses, you'll be as excited as I am to welcome the Austin360 Amphitheater at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) to town. Now we have our own place almost as nice as The Woodlands' Cynthia Mitchell Pavilion, but without the cow patties of SPM! Bad news: It will cost you one meeelleeyun dollars (imagine Dr. Evil's voice) to get a drink or a snack while you're here. No kidding, they charge $8 or more for just about anything you might want to consume. It can bust the budget quickly when you have to spend $17 every time you go get a beer for your date and yourself. Dang! Know this: The venue only very recently opened for concerts in Spring 2013. COTA is still perfecting some of their processes and the growing pains are still showing in April 2013. I expect this to only improve over time as the construction is complete, more vendor relationships are established, and they figure out the best ways to control traffic flow in and out of the park. From the first review on this Yelp listing, as well as those on the main COTA page, one can see that it's already gotten better since opening. Most of the roads, paths, and parking lots are now paved and landscaping is fairly complete. There are way more clean porto-potties available throughout the park now, and beverage vendor options are EVERYwhere. Good news: Roving beer/water vendors circulate throughout the 14K capacity venue, so there is no need to wait in line for drinks. Even better, if you do decide to stroll over to a booth to get a different kind of drink (Tito's & soda? Frozen rita or daiquiri? How about anything you want from a full bar?), wait times are minimal after the show has begun. Rumor has it that if you look hard enough you can even find a mythical tent offering $5 wine. Bad news: The best drink options are only available inside the amphitheater area, and you have to wait until they open the additional gates to that area. For our concert, this meant that when the park gates opened at 6p, we could only access the front entrance grounds. At about 7:10p, they finally let us get into the amphitheater so that we could snag our seats and access the better beverages. Other good things to know: --Tailgating is allowed. We saw lots of people parking early (5ish for a 6p gate opening, 8p showtime) and picnicking before the show. This seems like a great way to head off some of the outrageous prices in the park, as well as to avoid traffic hassles closer to showtime. --Pedi-cabs and shuttles from the various parking lots are available. We parked in Lot F (come in on Elroy from 130 and follow the signs to COTA) for $12 (pre-purchased online; $20 at the venue) and the walk in took no more than 10 minutes. --There is generally no exit/re-entry, so don't forget anything in your vehicle. --Bag checks seemed pretty lax, so do with that what you will. --Foldable, low-to-the-ground chairs are allowed for those with GA/Lawn tickets. --The front entry area (Grand Plaza) of the park has a nice green lawn with beanbag games, Adirondack chairs, and space for running around. We saw kiddoes and adults alike enjoying this space before the show. --Get there early enough and you can snag some comfortable tall stools on the risers at the back of the park. We loved this area, which offered great sound quality, unobstructed views, and quick bar access, with no crowds ever crushing us. Early-bird Lawn ticket holders can also take perch at the bistro tables near the cocktail tents for a great views surprisingly close to the stage, bars, and potties.

Yelp
Decent size ampitheater for events. The only downside of it is that it is completely outdoors. If it rains, EVERYONE gets wet! There is also a racetrack next to the venue.

Terri J.

Yelp
My friend had VIP tickets for Sheryl Crow & Rascal Flatts. Ummm yeah... I'll go! The amphitheater is large (yet still fairly intimate) with a variety of seating areas: Stand up pit, seating pit, VIP, main seating, back seating & lawn. There are also special access areas with AC & cocktails/food. The acoustics were excellent. It does not appear that there are any bad seats. We walked around some and could see/hear well from many different spots. The large video screens were very nice for close-ups and for those with seats in the back section and lawn areas. Outside the main area is a long row of vendors for t-shirts, food, drinks, etc. The food options ranged from hotdogs, BBQ, Mexican food (yummy), to kettle corn. Vending machines were also available.

Yelp
I've been to hundreds of concerts across the country and I'm attempting to write a review of every venue to assist my concert going troubadours. Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic - July 4, 2016 Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic had been on my concert bucket list for years. Tales of the wild three-day picnics in the 70's with Bob Dylan and The Grateful Dead are legendary. Nowadays, the picnics are tame one-day affairs, but no less consequential. This was the second year Austin360 held the all-day event (we entered the venue at 11 am; we were walking out at 1:20 am). As far as I'm concerned, they can host the picnic every year going forward. First of all, extreme heat - 102 degrees (116 heat index). The Austin folk reassured me that the severe heat was an anomaly and by the number of people I saw being treated for heat related illnesses, I believe them. However, the venue did everything possible to aid in the relief from the heat - free water, free sunscreen, cooling shelters, misting fans in the pit. One unexpected consequence of the heat was it curbed drinking. I didn't start drinking until the sun went down. But, I was over the moon when I discovered they poured liquor at this venue. GOD BLESS TEXAS! We don't get that at large venues in the northeast and midwest (only beer). There was all kinds of food and I was delighted by the local food trucks. Food and liquor prices were moderate. The event was divided between two stages. The smaller one on the hill offered picnic table seating, close access to the stage (we got a pick handed to us from Johnny Bush), and a steady breeze. The main stage was parceled out between lawn, seats, and furnace pit (my choice). For a portion of the event you had to bounce between both stages and the layout of the venue made that easy. The sound at both stages were flawless (no matter what Shakey Graves insists) which is remarkable considering how many artists (18) were ushered in and off the stages. Access into and out of the venue was painless - open lanes and no traffic and just miles from our hotel by the airport. We elected for a man-powered carriage ride to our vehicle at the end of the night after being on our feet for 14 hours. Overall, just an amazing time. We will be back next year if Willie is up for another picnic.

Yelp
The Amphitheater is pretty nice. Their seating is nicely spaced and from where I was there was not a bad seat anywhere. I have sat in the back on the lawn and in the VIP section for concerts and both locations were great. They have plenty of indoor restrooms and they keep the place nice and clean especially when comparing it to many other outdoor venues I have visited. The down side to this place is the location, it is a bit of a drive, the parking is far so bring your walking shoes and the drink prices are high! As with most concerts you expect to pay a markup for your drinks but for what they were charging I could have easily bought a bottle of liquor, ugh! I will definitely be back since the fact that the seating, restrooms and over all cleanliness balances out the drive, parking and drink prices. This place is a solid outdoor concert venue!

Yelp
COTA is a good time for all. Whether you're watching the races, attending concerts, or both. It's a sprawling venue so dress comfortably and don't think "I'll just walk it" ... I'm known for that fatal flaw and my cowboy boots trekking from one end to the other didn't end up working in my favor. The races and VIP section are fun otherwise the lines for refreshments can be a bit daunting. It's a good experience and the concerts are fun. The main stage only serves beer so I've sat through a few concerts sans alcohol. They should definitely serve more than beer. But, I've had an amazing time each time regardless. Traffic. But, duh.
