Food is great, just a bit expensive. The employees are nice and attentive. They fill your water and tea without us calling for it. Really great. The food are food, just a bit expensive. Feel like we got more day than meet in some of the dishes. Overall it was great, but not sure we'll be back again soon.

THE BEST Filipino restaurant in Texas that I’ve been to! Great for family gatherings or meeting up with friends! Food is really great and brings the nostalgia from home! Service was excellent. Ambience was homey and classy and atmosphere was fun and lively. Highly recommended! Will surely come back! Thank you Joy and Roger for the hospitality!!!

Service was fantastic! Food was very hearty and perfect for comfort meals! Tried the egg rolls, sisig, adobo fried rice, and spicy wings. Spicy wings were my favorite for sure. Would love to try other dishes. Big restaurant with lots of tables. There’s a stage in there as well so going on a day with performances must be incredibly lovely!

After a long awaited wait, we finally drove and got to try the famous Gerry’s. When we have a tourney here in Houston this place is always packed but this time frame was perfect. Food was excellent but a bit pricey but it was the nostalgia of one of the famous restaurants in the Philippines. But it was good and will definitely be back after our food coma!!!

The food is great... Absolutely love all the food that we order... Insert the flan, I don't get a chance to take a picture of it, but is so good.... Very good service, Ms. Lorna, Jessa and Sheena...

The food here is very authentic and delicious. But they have to improve how they cook the chicharon bulaklak because when you bite into it, the oil will burst into your mouth. Too overwhelming to eat. It should be light and crispy. I hope they fix it because it's one of my favorite Filipino foods. Good service. The staff are kind and attentive.

We had a great time eating authentic Filipino food at Gerry’s grill. It was nice to have a taste of home. The staff were friendly and pleasant, & it was nice dining after the usual lunch hour. We had the crispy pata, crab fried rice, inihaw na pusit, & hall halo…just to name a few. Please believe me that my pictures didn’t do the food justice. My family really enjoyed the experience.

Wow! This place is top-notch. Staff is super friendly and the service is great! We ordered the Spicey Tuna Poke and Pork Pata. Tuna was fresh and not super spicey. The pork was crispy outside and tender inside. We got a side of the garlic rice. If you like garlic, you will love this rice! We ended with the banana lumpia and vanilla ice cream, which was a nice light finish. They also had live music, which was also very good. This was a great 1st experience for us!

Lorna and Nayeli really took care of us. Super friendly and also gave nice energy for our lunch to be amazing. And of course the food was fast, tasty and large portions. Definitely will be back as a regular!

Lorna and Claudia were amazing waitresses. I got the beef salpicao with garlic rice and it didn't disappoint. Very tasty and the portions were great

Had a great time at this restaurant. Ate Lorna and Nayeli gave excellent service, went above and beyond and even gave us recommendations on places to see in the area. The food was delicious especially the halo-halo. My daughters loved it! The ambiance was also good, not too loud music. We'll definitely come back when we visit Houston again!

Tita Lorna took great care of us. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is so relaxing. We had the chicken inasal and inihaw na bangus with garlic rice and both dishes were fresh and tasty. Salamat po sa pagkain at sainyo po. Sarap ng pagkain!

I had no idea today was closed off for a private event but really cool of them to still accommodate us. This was our first time here and it was live. We were greeted at the door and explained what our options were prior to getting seated. The place looked much bigger than expected and very culturally decorated. It was fun, inviting, clean and spacious. We got a couple things from the menu after our waitress explained some of the items and gave us ample time to order. All the food was great, it came out quick and we were excited to give it all a try. The service was great and the food was really good. It was more on the expensive side for what you get but I'm glad we came and gave this a try. The menu has a lot of great options to try.

Gerry's Grill was my first introduction to Filipino food, thanks to my boss! It's a very casual restaurant with lots of seating. I found out that I love Pancit Palabok. So flavorful! It tastes so good that I know that it cannot be healthy for me haha. Great choice of carbs, but you're in the mood for rice and you like garlic, they have garlic rice or adobo rice. We had the Tokwa't Lechon Kawali. I love pork belly, however they made it a bit tough. I wish it were easier to chew. The fried tofu was good with the vinegar dipping sauce. We also had the Chicken Pork Adobo; it was very flavorful, and tastes very homey. I enjoyed the meal, and will return if I am feeling Filipino food again. If you have a full day ahead of you, be warned that the pancit palabok might make you sleepy. So good, but it makes the meal very heavy lol.

YUM. Gerry's is always delicious, and the service is always wonderful. Our server Bethel was quick to get our drinks and orders. The Adobo shreds and lumpia are always a favorite!

Randomly stopped in for an early dinner for our first visit. There was a ticketed event that day which we had no idea about, thankfully we were still able to be seated in a side room. The service was great and attentive despite there being an event going on. Everything was absolutely delicious. The only thing we probably wouldn't order again would be the kabobs, they had great flavor but just a little too chewy for me. Would love to dine in the main area next time to fully grasp the ambiance.

I am half Filipino so any chance I get to be in touch with my moms culture I take it, and I had never been to Gerry's, we were near by shopping so stopped in for my birthday we got the lumpiang for app, my dad got a grilled chicken dish, I got the beef tapa, my mom got pork sigsig, and we got halo halo for dessert. I was very happy with everything I ate. The server was pleasant and something about being in a building with all Filipinos around me warms my heart reminds me of my childhood. The complimentary chicharron was a wonderful touch

Cute place with good food and drinks (the Pandan drink is great and a new favorite) but make sure you bring an appetite because the servings are very generous! The live music is a lot of fun too & staff is very sweet.

Came for some entertainment and food. The band started at 8:30 pm. I was happy that they played 80's and 90's songs. Unfortunately jammed packed today so had to sit at the bar. The food overall was decent had their specialty fried trotter...decent. My drink was good and girly. The dessert banana lumpia was just meh.

I'm biased because I'm Filipino right... but I really do love this place. The food is always delicious to me. The drinks have gotten so much better since before and the ambiance is just so typically Filipino that you can't help it. We received some great service from two ladies during my birthday and our food and drinks came out very fast. It gets really packed here on the weekends because they have live bands and karaoke sometimes but it's all fun!

So I've been here before and I wasn't feeling it BUT the wife loves this place.... So why not? I was wrong. This place is so good! I ate most of the lumpia and the BBQ pork was good! Wife got the crispy pata and that great too! It's weird that in Chinatown that you have to pay for your rice but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. We also got the Halo Halo because I thought it would be like a Chè Ba Màu and it is but not really. Still VERY enjoyable. Staff and service was great. And I KINDA want to see the live band one day. It's a Filipino place. There has to be some sort of singing or karaoke. The only thing I didn't like was the sticky table. It was sticky! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but the food was very good. Would I come back? Hell yeah! I'm getting the banana lumpia and ice cream next time too. Regrets.

We went on Sunday lunch and was pretty crowded. There were multiple bands plying raising money for a fellow band member so a bit noisy. This is normal on Friday and Saturday nights but not on Sundays. Luckily, we were able to grab a table and got seated right away. We ordered 3 dishes... grilled squid, beef karekare and pork sisig. Grilled squid was delicious. One of our go to items to order. Restaurant is well known for the grilled items so can't go wrong. Beef Karekare is beef oxtail cooked with peanut sauce and vegetables (bok choy, eggplant, long beans). It comes with shrimp paste. This is a must. Tip: do not order if you don't like shrimp paste. Last is the pork sisig. It comes on a sizzling plate and was still sizzling when served. This goes very well with beer or with rice. It is a bit salty. Meat is crispy from the hot plate. We had ordered it with egg that offsets some of the saltiness. Restaurant offers delicious Philippine/Filipino dishes. Service was friendly although it was sometimes hard to call their attention as restaurant was packed.

I love Gerry's but every location I've been to either in Manila or LA has felt distinctly different from each other. This was my first time going to the Houston location, and I had a super fun experience. We went on a Friday night, which is when they have live music followed by open karaoke. It made it really hard to hear my friends at our table, but the energy was good. The restaurant is roomy with high ceilings, more modernly furnished than other locations I've been to. The service was also friendly and there was usually always someone nearby if you needed anything. Highly recommend their sisig, pancit palabok, and adobo rice. My friends got a huge variety of food for the table, but I was a little too late to the hangout to get to try much more. I was looking forward to ordering some Red Horse beers too, but was pretty disappointed when I found out they weren't available. Not sure if it was temporary or if this is an ongoing thing, but I hope they'll be in stock next time I go back.

Very lively restaurant on Fri evening! Great service for a large party dining in. Started off with Lumpiang Shanghai. Crispy and pretty good, but I've had better lumpia before. Crab rice was delicious, but not much crab meat in the dish. Pinakbet had a variety of veggies, but I was not too crazy about this. Crispy Pata (pork) was delicious! I would order again if I go back to dine at Gerry's Grill. Crispy short rib was savory but a little oily/greasy. Inihaw na pusit (grilled squid) was tasty! Sizzling pork sisig was ok. Adobo rice (w/ small pork bits) had a lot of flavor; a tad bit salty though. Pancit palabok was ok; not savory enough imo. Buko pandan had very subtle pandan taste; likely overpowered by coconut shreds. However it was a refreshing dessert overall. The live band had a great performance, but it was too loud most of the time, and everyone had to yell across the table to communicate. It was fun seeing folks volunteer for karaoke. Overall not a bad experience here!

Food was so tasty and very authentic. Feels like you're in the Philippines. Love all the food the we had! Very satisfying! Service was so excellent! Very nice and helpful. Ambiance was good! Spacious, clean and decoration was so nice.

Took my non-Filipino friends here to try Filipino food for the first time! We came on a Sunday right before the church crowd came in. The place was busy but we were able to get seated quickly. We ordered the lumpia, pork bbq, Kare kare, and the palabok. It was family style and that was a good amount of food for 4 people. Had to get the rice separately. The servers were nice and friendly and the staff was quick to pick up any done dishes. However some of our dishes did come a lot later than the others. The food in terms of taste was okay! The lumpia and bbq were probably the best, as for the Kare Kare and the palabok I've had better. It did scratch the itch of missing my mom's cooking.

The food was amazing! I love Asian food but this was my first time having Filipino food! It was great and is in my top favorites! Our waiter was very kind and helpful. The service was next level. It was a bit cold but that is ok. The restaurant had good vibes Also, if you want desert, get the Halo Halo! It's really good and sweet and tropical all at once! Five stars

Gerry's grill is very nostalgic for me since the last time I had it was in 2016 in the Philippines! Our server was very nice and even though we left before the live band started the food was delicious and the ambience is very nice! Can't go wrong with the Kare-Kare.

It was such a great Dinner with an Awesome Server SHEENA! Coming from Fremont California standard. The service is quick and very delicious food. Place is nice.

Just made a temporary move from California to Houston a little over a month ago, since I was craving filipino food we decided on Gerry's Grill. After getting lost and stuck in traffic for 2 hours we finally made it. Gerry's Grill is hands down the best filipino food in town. We ordered an array of filipino food from seafood to meats and we can't forget about the appetizers and desserts. Unfortunately, as soon as the food hit the table we devoured it, so no photos were taken. Trust me the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was so kind that one staff member was so patient and took photos of us. Until next time!

Filipino hospitality to be experienced here at Gerry's Grill! Live music here on Friday evenings. Staff here was pleasant and friendly. Our food came out so quickly and then we realized our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! But so much delicious entrees and appetizers. Cripsy pata is a must order when dining here! One of the best Filipino dining experiences in the Houston area!

It was an experience dining here at Gerry's Grill. We had an amazing time. We met up with my cousin who suggested this place and we pretty much ordered a lot of food, kinda ordered what looked good on the photos. The food tasted good and honestly I cannot say anything negative as everything was great. They even have a full bar and live band, which we missed since we had lunch instead of dinner. The halo-halo was good and the gelatin drink was good too! We will definitely be back. We had loads of take-away and the food was good the next day. Delicious! Sadly, my phone didn't save the photos I took. I will make sure to take loads of photos next visit Our order: chicharon bulaklak, sisig, crab fried rice, grilled chicken, bbq pork, lumpia and another I couldn't remember but was very good- I recommend this place

Gerry's is the best Filipino food I've had in Texas well period beside my godfather mother's food. Definitely try the lumpia and the adobo fried drive. And the ice tea just know you'll want more than one. Lorna is a gem very sweet

Food and service was awesome!! Our server Lorna was a sweet heart. Some of our favorite dishes were Sugba kilaw and pork Barbeque.

I stayed at a hotel nearby and decided to stop by Gerry's Grill on a random Monday morning. As a Filipino from San Francisco who goes to the Philippines every summer, I absolutely love Gerry's Grill in the Philippines and I was pleasantly surprised by this location!! Their sisig hit the spot! I'll be back for sure!

Gerry's grill always is a must visit for me each time I'm in Houston. Max's failed miserably a few days after a great review for unsatisfying service and substandard pork sinigang. So here we were in Gerry's Grill with a Houstonian long time friend welcomed with handshakes and greetings from the regulars lol. We had grilled pusit, sinigang pork, kare2, crab fried rice, (they heated the brown rice I brought!---thank you!, and crispy pata. Calamansi juice was thirst quenching (Philippine lime) Friendly with live singing, clean, professional staff. A great way to enjoy food and friends/family Either you're a Filipino or not!!!

Came to Gerry's grill with a big group of friends so we could try many different dishes as this was our first time here. Also got the famous iced tea based on the reviews, and it was so delicious with a fruity hint! We ordered the crab rice, lechon, crispy pata, grilled squid, chicken inasal, pork sisig, chicken skewers, and some garlic rice. The crab rice was delicious with lots of flavor. The lechon and crispy pata were a little to dry and crispy for my taste. I didn't go back for seconds. The grilled squid was pretty good with good amount of squid and was more tasty with the sauce. The pork sisig was perfect with the garlic rice and was a good amount of savory and rich. I was suprised that the garlic rice was just garlic and rice since I've had it more flavorful at other places but it was a good rice to pair with the other main entrees. The star of the show for me was their chicken dishes, which I was suprised about. The chicken inasal and chicken skewers were SOOOO delicious. They were so well flavored and the chicken was very tender. These were definitely the 2 standout dishes to me and the dishes that I would get when I go back. Sadly, we were way too full for dessert at the end but I want to come back and try those as well. All in all, I had a great time eating here!! The food was delicious overall, and I'm definitely coming back :-)

Decent Filipino food, tastes pretty much just like the Gerry's at home. They have live music. Also service speed and quality was pretty similar to American chain restaurants.

Service was excellent. Beverages were always refilled. The staff constantly checked up on us. Ambience was ok Food was not up to par thus the lower review. The grilled squid was overcooked close to the point of rubbery texture. The crispy pata was crispy but was also overdone. The eggplant malasada was salty on one side and unevenly tasted bland

How did the prices get so high? Tortang talong from $8 to $14? Shanghai is now $20? Not sure it's worth it anymore.

Came here for a company dinner and we stayed in a private room where the staff was helpful and provided sufficient service. We ordered individual drinks throughout the night and shared several dishes family style, including pork bbq skewers, chicken skewers, fried rice, lumpia, sizzling sisig, pancit, calamares, and eggplant omelette. Everything tasted amazing, probably my least favorite was the eggplant omelette, but it's probably just personal preference. And the pork bbq skewers were some of the best I've had anywhere. Our vegans and vegetarians were able to find dishes they liked and were able to eat a satisfying meal, but they were at a different table, so I don't know exactly what. For dessert, we had leche flan, which was on the sweeter side but good as expected. On a Saturday evening, I was surprised to learn that they do live music here (the band on this day was This Side Up), and they played some great covers while we were there, starting around 8:30pm. I didn't stay later into the night for the music though. This venue is pretty spacious, lots of seating, a full bar, clean and modern looking, and plenty of parking outside.

I'm so spoiled coming from Southern California and tasted the best of the best. Though we enjoyed our family lunch here, we think that this food is okay. We ordered about 4 entrees and one appetizer and the damage was $160+ The service was great however they made sure we had everything we needed.

Staff, service and ambiance is inviting and appreciated! They have live music Friday-Sunday evenings. As a Filipino, the food tastes great and supporting the community is important even though most Filipino moms will say they cook better at home LOL. My irk with Gerry's Grill is daaaaamn talk about over-priced! Lumpia is awesome yet not $15 awesome I'm also not sure about charging Filipinos for rice- it's almost blasphemous- and a small bowl! I gave this place a try and I do like it yet honestly would rather Filipiñana for buffet lunch with dessert for $40 for 2 people than the $120 lunch I wasn't expecting. I also ordered tea because I was cold and I think the picture is 1000 words for $3 tea. The food is tasty and delicious so don't get me wrong. It's a nice place to introduce others into the cuisine!

Food is mediocre. But Love the service. And the live bands makes the difference. We were seated near the bar where NBA finals were playing so overall I enjoyed our night.

Can you imagine a great Filipino restaurant right beside Chinese restaurants near Dunhuang Square in Houston? I had been there just for the delicious crispy pork knuckle. The service is amazing. And there is band performance on weekend!

Excellent Filipino restaurant! I drive to Houston sometimes just for food (especially Filipino food). NOLA has some of the best restaurants in the country but Filipino cuisine is basically non existent. Gerry's serves authentic food such as sinagang, pancit, chicken adobo, kare-kare, lechon kawali, and halo-halo for dessert. Everything we eat at Gerry's is delicious and the ambiance is so welcoming compared to other asian restaurants. They have a full bar and plenty of seating. Service is great as well as all of the staff are very welcoming!

Today, I had the opportunity to try the inihaw na bangus, and describing it as amazing would be an understatement. The fish was exceptionally juicy, flavorful, and filling, while also feeling light and fresh. This dish pairs perfectly with the garlic rice and has now become my favorite at this restaurant. Gerry's is such a great restaurant to bring your family for any event. The staff is equally impressive as the cuisine. Today, I was attended to by a gentleman named Troy, who was exceptionally accommodating and polite. He was, in fact, the one who recommended the dish to me.
