Augusta’s independent art school and gallery lives in an 1818 Federal‑style mansion. Free weekday gallery hours and juried shows like A Sense of Place bring national and local artists together, a fixture often praised by regional arts publications.

Wonderful museum in town that hosts all sorts of art events and auctions. We've always had a great time contributing artwork for the different events and charity things. The people here are also really nice, and they often host events throughout the years for children and other groups of people. Please check them out

A little spartan on the artwork when we were there but nonetheless very interesting. The building has federalist details that are original. If you are in Augusta you must have a look.

Great ceramics studio! I've taken the independent study ceramics course for a few sessions now. The studio has tons of tools, wheels, glazes, and other equipment, and the staff is incredibly helpful, and the classes are well-priced. This is a great place to unwind and get creative!

Yelp
this place is absolutely gorgeous! i was searching everywhere for a place to take prom pictures, and this was just perfect! everyone was so sweet and welcoming, i peeked into a few gallery rooms and the art is beautiful as-well.

Yelp
I'm loving Augusta a little more every day as I come across these hidden little gems, like a place with serious & accessible art classes. YES! I'm taking a lovely figure drawing class at the moment, with a wonderful teacher who gives individual feedback & a small group of serious artists (myself, a dabbler, not included). You climb up two flights of curving stairs & over broad-beamed rough-wood floors, and painted-over fireplaces, walls covered with (at the moment) children's art... its kind of worth a visit just to climb into the attic for an art class. Anyway... loving it and learning a bit about figure drawing in the process. $200 for 8 classes... not too bad.
