Good fun. We did the space flight room and it was great. Perfect for the engineering mind. First time foot is so I know what I would do differently next time working as a team, think ahead and make a strategic plan. Great night out with the family! Oh and I nearly forgot, it was quite difficult but we got out with 1 second remaining! We were shocked as we thought we weren’t going to make it. Talk about a thrill!

I’ve done many escape rooms, they are a favorite date night for my husband and I. That being said, this was one of my least favorite rooms. Pro: The room set up was engaging and fun. Con: The captains deck is a major tripping hazard. The speaker is quiet and you cannot hear what is being said to you unless you are directly in front of it. The puzzles are fairly linear, making it difficult for even just the 4 of us to all be constantly working. One of the puzzles entirely stumped the 4 of us. He had to explain it at the end, never would have guessed it. Instead of a hint given- the password was just sent to us. This allowed us to proceed- continue the linear progression. The music at the end was so loud we had a hard time hearing and communicating to each other. Having to pay extra money to have a room to yourself is interesting, especially with linear rooms. The max capacity should be 2-4. The push for a tip went further than I felt necessary. Many extra components to the room with all the buttons/switches felt a little confusing. All in all, We had fun. Would we return again, likely not.

Google
So much fun! Superhero Showdown. Fun puzzles, not too difficult. We've been to Getout Games a couple times and they are always so friendly and helpful. Definitely would return.

Google
We had a wonderful time! Our game master, Arthur, was fanstastic, and took great care of us. The superhero room was perfect for our group ranging from 9-70 years old!

Google
Had my family group of 10 do the "Get out Spaceflight" room. Gotta say I can appreciate when a place actually tries to make you feel like you're in the location but not only that, have the puzzles make sense to the location you're in. The environment around you showing progress is a very nice touch. I thought the puzzles were fair, made sense and even if one doesn't to you, well that's why having a room that can occupy that group size works doesn't it? We would go back in a heartbeat to try the other rooms out.

Google
We did the Mission to Mars Space Flight and it was really cool!! It was also really hard, but our game master Grey was awesome and gave us clues while staying in character and he made it so much fun!! It was very immersive and probably one of our favorite despite the difficulty level. It was my daughter’s birthday and she had a blast with her friend!! Thank you!!

Google
I loved it and wanted to go again. We did the Egyptian tomb. Very atmospheric and moody which is what we wanted. We started off really well but ended up getting stuck. Our guide was there to drop us a hint. He would even offer hints unprompted meaning he was paying attention the whole time. I loved it. Highly recommend.

Google
This was such a fun place to go to! I’ve done a lot of escape rooms, and this one had puzzles and elements that I’d never seen before! Staff was friendly and very accommodating, and you could tell that they were having fun too!

William S.

Yelp
My family and I did the Egyptian Tomb room and we had a fantastic time. The immersion and difficulty were spot on, and you even get a little miniature to commemorate your victory. Highly recommended for anyone in the area.

Yelp
This was such a fun place and the staff was really fun and cool. We did the Egyptian Room. The staff said it is the second hardest one and a bunch of us have never done an escape room before but we solved it. The room was totally cool and the decor was amazing with the secrets and clues. My only complaint is the escape room got kinda toasty. Some AC would have been nice.

Yelp
So freaking fun! Date night! Loved the challenge and using our brains and working together as a team! We will return again and tell our friends!!!

Austin N.

Yelp
Hardly any puzzles, has got to be one of the worst escape rooms I've ever been to. Most of the time your questioning yourself "how in the hell are we supposed to figure that out." Don't ever go here.
google avatar

Curtis C.

Yelp
Despite a few minor hiccups in the room (a missing key that the employee had to deliver to us), we had a great time here. I would definitely recommend trying to fill the room with only your group as working with other people can be frustrating. Especially frustrating when you have the answer to the combo but they are fumbling around thinking they have the answer ;). The price is right, they have a ton of different rooms, and the puzzles are well thought out. Definitely worth a visit if you need something to do with your evening.

Yelp
I really didn't feel like this escape room lived up to the standards of others in the area. It honestly felt ghetto and cheap. The room we were escaping from was tiny (when we saw it, we thought, this is it? The six of us felt very squished), there was no employee interacting with us as an actor in the room or from a loud speaker, and several of the puzzles were super frustrating because they weren't working the way they were supposed to. (Like all six of us not being able to read a hidden message that was supposed to be legible through special goggles, or tapping a specific rhythm with a metal stick over and over without it working until the umpteenth try). Also, we had a giant screen with a clock counting down our time that appeared about midway through our hour, and when it got down to the last minutes, we were rushing like crazy to get through the last clues. When we got the door open with seconds to spare (according to the countdown), an employee walked through the door and congratulated us on getting out with over 10 minutes to spare (???) We didn't really understand his explanation, but apparently that was a countdown to reach a certain clue and it would have given us 10 more minutes after it ended ...? So basically we felt a bit jipped getting super stressed and frustrated with the clock ticking down so fast and then not even getting to enjoy the game for the full hour... so we paid $40 a couple for about 45 minutes. Then the employee led us out to the sketchy back lot and left us there, and that was that.

Yelp
Came here with a few friends and we had such a good time. They were very helpful with giving tips when needed, the room was well thought out and put together, and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

Yelp
We booked the Super Hero escape room. There were 10 people in our group. It was an absolute blast. The staff were amazing. The room was super realistic and the whole group got into the story. Our group ranged from 11years to over 60 and we all enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

Yelp
Getout games is a great idea! The only reason I hesitatingly give it 4 stars is because there have been some issues with the equipment sometimes. Other than that, your experience in large part depends on the group! Depending on how large your group is, you get grouped with other people as well, so be ready for that. Remember that you'll be in locked, closed spaces deciphering clues with others and depending on who you're with or how You are.. you'll either be super impressed, impressive, or.. something else. Just go and have fun! Don't be a quitter. As a date idea, it's probably a great way to explore the patience and strategery of your counterpart. ;)

Yelp
Escape rooms are a unique experience. You and your friends are placed in a closed room and are left to figure your way out. You'll accomplish this by solving a variety of puzzles, riddles and other challenges. One solution generally leads to to the next puzzle, and its solution leads you to the next puzzle and so on. Work together as a team and you just might escape before running out of time. I've done escape rooms at a variety of places. The setting is different every time, of course, and Getout does a decent job of creating an atmosphere which is convincing enough to add to the fun without making you uncomfortable. I enjoyed how the Egyptian Tomb was pretty dark, and you each have a handheld 'torch' to dimly light your way. It helps set the mood and maximize your enjoyment. Don't panic. There are video cameras which allow the hosts to monitor you all the while, and they can even communicate with you and offer assistance (via clues) if you get really stuck. And if there is some urgent reason for you to exit--such as an emergency call of nature--you can easily leave the room and return a few minutes later. Overall, Getout compares well with other rooms I've visited. Getout is priced lower than most other escape rooms here in Utah, making it a very good value. If you've never tried an escape room, this would be a great place to come see what it's like. If you enjoy solving puzzles, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Becky W.

Yelp
I'm an escape room veteran (over 10 rooms in several different states), and Getout Games "The Heist" was the best escape room experience I've ever had! I was brining several friends (first-time escape room for them). I explained to everyone what to expect, which involved explaining that we can request hints on specific puzzles because staff doesn't actually watch/listen to what we're doing. I couldn't have been more wrong!!! Our experience started with our hosts giving us a role-playing-ish themed introduction on the room and story. I was great for upping the energy. We started our room and thought we were doing pretty good, and then our hosts called in on the walkie-talkie. We were missing a critical puzzle! I was bowled over that our hosts were watching and listening and would chime in with a hint to keep us going in the right direction. We received several hints like this, and the hosts often framed the hints within the theme of the room. Once we finished the last puzzle that opened the door to our room, our hosts were waiting for us with crazy energy! I cannot say enough good things about Getout Games, and I will definitely be coming back until there aren't any rooms left for me to do!

Yelp
It's a blast! Such a cool date idea, I've done all their rooms and even a couple of them multiple times. It engages you mentally and really dials up your problem-solving to a 9. It's best when you have 2-3 couples with you, but anything more than that and you run into a "too many cooks in the kitchen" kind of thing. But more perspective is for sure a good thing; someone may see a clue and interpret it in a way you wouldn't have. My only couple of issues they could improve on would be maintaining the rooms, as pieces are often broken or things don't work the way they're supposed to from so many people using them. Also it's about $3 too expensive, per person. Still, I've done every room of theirs so that's gotta tell you something.

Yelp
Our son and daughter-in-law wanted to go here for her birthday and I have to admit, I wasn't too excited initially, but hey... it wasn't for me. Adding another son and his wife, we made six for the Heist room and that was about perfect. Too many more and I think it would have been a bit crowded. What a blast. I'm sold and we'll be doing more. There was enough of a variety of puzzles that we each contributed although our minds all work differently. Some of us... way differently. We thought we had it easy until there was a twist we weren't expecting. Then it was a race to finish. It may be a bit much if you're on a tight budget, but throw them on your Christmas or Birthday lists. Definitely worth it.

Travis W.

Yelp
For the price wasn't as good as other escape rooms I've done. Lots of little things - it is very dark and they give you flashlights but some of them were out of batteries, pieces to puzzles were missing and required the guide to interrupt and say How things were supposed to be, the walkie-talkies which are used to communicate with the guide suddenly started blaring with feedback/other people speaking which made it so we couldn't hear anything unless we turned it off. I love escape rooms but will not be going back to this place. Too many deficiencies/secondary problems for the price.

Yelp
We did the heist room in a group of 8 which was supposedly the "hardest" room but maybe they say that about every room? It was challenging but the sense of accomplishment and discovery as you worked your way through it (with a few well placed clues from the workers) was rewarding and exciting. The puzzles were varied so they would cater to multiple people's strengths. Some were number puzzles, others were more logical and intuitive. Overall a fun team building experience, would be great for a group date.

Yelp
Getout Games is cool, fancy, and sometimes clever. And it's totally fun/maybe a little addicting. The puzzles can be challenging, but with a couple of clues, we found them totally doable. I only wish they had more rooms and new rooms more often! I'd come back 1000 times. Note: The Heist room was very dark, and it freaked my 11 yo nephew out. I kept my cell phone flashlight on the whole time, but really, it was very dark. I wish I'd been warned. So keep that in mind when you're thinking of who might like to go.

Yelp
UPDATE: The company has reached out and sent the vouchers that were promised. The person I was communicating with has been very apologetic and helpful. I do plan on trying them again and i'm really hoping my third experience is closer to the first time I went, but, I live on the east coast and won't get back there for 1-2 years. I've been to get out games twice. The first room was wonderful and we had a wonderful game master. The second time we went was a horrible experience. The room wasn't ready so we had to wait 20 min. The A/C in the room was broken and we were on a top floor in July. It was dangerously hot in the room and we were all miserable. The game master was not great at communicating with us before and during the game which caused a lot of confusion, especially about how much time we had. Some of the puzzles malfunctioned so we had to wait on the game master to come help us. I sent an email to the company about this and 3 days later they responded asking if we wanted vouchers to come back. I responded that that would be great. That was over a week ago and they haven't verified or given us any vouchers.

Yelp
So I love logic puzzles and this really scratched that itch. Went with a large group about 20 people. They split us into 2 groups and we raced to finish the rooms against each other. Pros Lots of fun Great for groups Hard enough, took the full hour to solve They have multiple puzzle rooms Totally planning on returning to do other puzzles Cons They need to check the rooms to make sure all items are working. it slowed us down in a couple of puzzles and we had to ask for help because of a faulty item Rooms got a little toasty with a full group

Yelp
Oh my goodness! We just had the most fun hour of my month. There were so many twists and turns and shocking reversal that the four of us were laughing and yelling and screaming at each other for an intense bout of bonding excitement. I strongly recommend giving this place a try!

Yelp
After coming home from a birthday party about a month ago, my 12 year old daughter wanted to do the Zombie on a Chain game for her party. After looking at the minimum age recommendation, I called and wanted to make sure that it would be okay for a bunch of 12 year old girls. I was planning on buying out the room and asked if the zombie's anger issues could be less intense. They said it could be adjusted slightly without ruining the experience so I went ahead and booked. We had 8 kids and 2 adults on a friday night. They were running about 15 minutes behind but got us in without too much delay and started the game. The zombie was awesome (didn't ever break character even after we left the room and he had to return some items we left behind) and the assistant was extremely helpful in making the game flow while giving us all feel the sense of accomplishment. We did have 2 girls that were a little timid, but I watched the assistant discreetly communicate to the zombie to avoid these two. They were comfortable staying in the room knowing they wouldn't be singled out. Room was a little cramped and hot with the zombie and 10 people + assistant but that added to the intensity. I've done one other escape room and the presence of the Zombie definitely increased the intensity by 10! I would definitely recommend this activity. I will be back with my friends for a different room.
google avatar

Sinclaire H.

Yelp
It was my first time trying one of these escape rooms and it lived up to all my expectations! We were in a group of 8, but I think 5 or 6 people would have been the perfect size. I want to come back to try the zombie room!

Connor A.

Yelp
Their website neglected to tell us necessary reservation and payment information. We get a huge group of friends to go here, most of which have never done an escape room. We're all amped and excited only to have the front desk bro tell us the reservation never went through on the website. They were very unapologetic, and their website is trash. Waste of time and effort, but such is expected in a place like Provo.

Alysha M.

Yelp
This is the only place we want to go for escape rooms - everywhere we go we compare with this place. They bring together the fun of a group activity while balancing the type and complexity of the puzzles so that there really is something for everyone. It's my favorite flavor and I recommend it to everyone that visits Utah - everyone I know that lives here better have already gone..... Oh and a bit of context we've gone to all but 2 of Get out games rooms. My hubby and I have gone to about 10 escape rooms and we both hate the rooms where the puzzles are only cryptograms or any one of the same type for that matter... it gets tiresome and is unimpressive. The other loser category for us is when a room is neither story based or linear.. If you can just dump something out and find a clue in a room but have nothing pointing to that place where the clue was..... your room is not 'hard' and don't be proud of your low success rate... it just means you have a poorly designed room. end of story. This place is NOT like that. It is beautiful and well put together. Well maybe the zombie room's not 'beautiful' but I'm sure it sticks to their brand I love... which is great puzzles, elements of urgency, and an overall story.

Yelp
My first escape room experience. The scenario was really well planned and thought out with clues being hard enough to keep you thinking but not too easy to underwhelm you. The rooms are very well decorated with fake smoke and everything in place to create a realistic scenario. We had a group of four which was perfect. Anymore than that would have been too many people in my opinion. We needed some help from the assistant here and again but got through the mission eventually. I recommend this place highly.

Mike C.

Yelp
There were 5 of us in the group that successfully completed "The Heist" and we had a blast. The excitement level continued to increase as we solved each puzzle until we finally escaped. This was a great experience and well worth the cost. I would recommend this for couples and definitely as a team building experience for coworkers.

Anna A.

Yelp
The people who run this are actually the kindest people ever. Also these escape rooms do not disappoint! I've done the heist room and reactor room and they both are so much fun to do with friends/family or on a date! Everything runs so smoothly every time and is SO cleverly put together. HIGHLY recommend :))))

Sean R.

Yelp
We did the Zombie on a Chain room with a group of 8 adults. Prior to going, I was slightly worried from some of the lower reviews. We shouldn't have been worried at all. It was fantastic! For this room, the zombie really did a fantastic job. The chain was plenty long and presented challenges--but it was fun and required a little thinking and coordination. The zombie did a great job of making it a challenge while not going overboard and getting everyone he could without giving us chances to distract him or escape, etc. A few in our group got caught by the zombie (he'll grab your foot, and then you have to stand along the far wall and do what you can to assist from there), but I think that is to be expected and added to the experience. We needed a couple of hints along the way. The staff did a great job of helping us when asked without giving us too much help. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Deanna J.

Yelp
We did the heist room while on a triple date and it was SO fun! Loved that everyone got to work through clues together and enjoy an activity that was so different! Loved it!

Matt L.

Yelp
Went here for a company event and we cracked the code in 40 minutes. After confirming the code with the monitor, the safe wouldn't open. They said to keep trying it. When the time ran out after 20 minutes of trying, the guy came in and said, "Oh sorry, we confirmed the wrong code with you. Here's the correct one." Seemed kind of strange after he confirmed it and heard us repeat it out loud every time we tried it during that last 20 minutes of the clock running down. No offer to make it right or attempt was made to make up for the misinformation. Great business idea and maybe they'll get better at it. They weren't very organized and didn't handle that situation very well.
google avatar

Austin M.

Yelp
Be careful in the lobby. They have chairs in the waiting area right underneath a large shelf that sticks out from the wall at head level. My 87-year-old father went to sit down there and smacked his head against it really hard. It made a loud noise and the attendants at the front desk looked over...and did NOTHING. Not even a "are you okay?" Pretty lame if you ask me.
google avatar

Ariel B.

Yelp
This place is way fun. The game is super intense and exciting. Some of the props malfunctioned for us a little bit but the staff was able to help and we "got out." They said they were working on fixing it so I bet it's fine now. Really super fun. You've got to try it!
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
We did this with some family and friends and had so much fun! We didn't know exactly what to expect but it blew my mind. A very unique game that makes you think, lets you have fun, be competitive, and be amazed as the dots connect and you solve the puzzles. Great for anyone because of its variety of puzzles, and so much fun you'll definitely want to go again!
google avatar

Jesse G.

Yelp
I really enjoyed get out games. It was a really cool way to spend an evening with friends. There is a great combination of entertainment, wits, and interacting with friends and others that is not typical for the average evening out. The games were fun and challenging and the time went by too quick because I got so caught up in the game. The concept is a great new way of entertainment. I would highly recommend any one wanting to get out and try something new and challenging try Getout Games!
google avatar

Mitchell C.

Yelp
Last night was our second visit to Get Out Games and it was even better than the first! We tried out the new Zombie Room and it was AMAZING! They have really outdone themselves this time. The puzzles you have to solve and the entire experience was second to none. It is a must try for sure! If you're looking for something fun to do as a group, then you have to try Get Out Games. You will definitely have a blast! We'll be back for a third time soon!
google avatar

Rich R.

Yelp
We had a great time doing the Heist room! Only had a group of four, but that was okay because we could collaborate easily. Game Master Amanda was great. Loved dancing for a free hint! Definitely recommend this activity.
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
I love escape rooms and sadly this is one of the best ones around. Dont get me wrong it was fun but not the most impressive. Really great for college students near buy as its cheaper than most places but still not cheap. We also got out 22 minutes out of the Egyptian room and all of us felt ripped off. $20/person and 33% of our time was outside. We paid for an hour of entertainment and when you get out that fast the room isnt set up well enough. A lot of us were standing around as well with nothing to do since we were capped out at capacity. Decent room, hope the rest are better but totally worth going to as there aren't many better options near by. Actually this is probably the best option in Utah county.
google avatar

Trevor F.

Yelp
Went with 8 people; it was super cool but all of my friends were smarter than me so they beat all of the puzzles. Very grateful for smart friends or else I would have been trapped in the room eternally!
google avatar

Danny B.

Yelp
This place is super fun! We had a blast finding all the clues and using them to escape. Highly recommend it.

Tracy C.

Yelp
This was our first experience with an escape room and it did NOT disappoint. We did the Museum of Lost Heros and every one of our TEN people loved it. The room was VERY well done and our host was great. Highly recommend.

David B.

Yelp
I've done 3 of the rooms and loved them all. Some of the props are junky compared to other escape room places but overall this is a great place to go for fun.

Fran L.

Yelp
Had a blast we my family, the workers were so nice and so accommodating! Thanks for all the extras you helped us with!
google avatar

Casey C.

Yelp
we just did get out games on monday and it was pretty dang fun. the front room was cool and then you get started put in the room and its underwhelming, but don't be so arrogant to think it will be a breeze. Its a bit of a challenge and with out the clues i don't think we could have made it. Don't wanna spoil anything for anyone, but it was worth it if you can get 8 people to go. we'll definitely be back for the new puzzles

Becky C.

Yelp
Been here twice and both times it is the most amazing experience ever!! First time was with friends and a couple of people we didn't know, but we all worked together so well, like everyone was friends. Everyone has something to contribute. You brainstorm and bounce ideas off each other!! Second time with family, it was an amazing experience as a family!! LOVED IT!! I love how it makes you think WITHOUT using phones or electronics!!
google avatar

Derek H.

Yelp
We had a fun time! We worked hard to break the puzzles and we got out in record time. :) I almost wish it was harder...maybe we just had smart people in our group. I want to go back and try a different scenario.

Saul S.

Yelp
Been to each of their three rooms. I love this place, it's one of Utah's best entertainment stops.

Jeremy D.

Yelp
This review is for The Heist. Here are our top 20 complaints on this room: 1. There weren't any real puzzles. No logic. No solving. Just looking at stuff and figuring out which item gave you the combination for which lock. 2. There were WAY TOO MANY LOCKS/COMBINATIONS/PASSWORDS!!!!! 3. The room was tiny - way too small for 8 people. 4. The room was hot and stuffy. 5. There weren't enough parallel puzzle paths to keep everyone busy. Most of our group stood around while one person worked on the one puzzle that was holding everything up. 6. The room was too dark to see anything. The flashlights they provided were useless. Everyone had to use their cell phone flashlights the whole time. 7. The theme was lacking - the puzzles didn't match the theme of the room. The decorating was not at all realistic. 8. The 'final' exit door was surprising, but in a bad way. 9. The decor was cheap. 10. There were several puzzles that required colors, but the lighting was too dim to make out the colors. 11. We had to do trial and error on too many things. 12. There were two puzzles that used colors, and there were two other puzzles that provided colors but didn't use them. No information was given to indicate which color items went with which puzzle. 13. On several of the puzzles, there was no indication of which solution matched up with which puzzle. 14. The huge metapuzzle at the end requires you to get a bunch of numbers using a bunch of items throughout the room. This puzzle was broken and gave the wrong numbers. 15. The box puzzle took us 25 minutes to solve, even with the game master trying to explain the solution over the walkie-talkie. 16. We had to receive 6 hints and still were 20 minutes short of escaping. 17. We tried to ask for a hint several times with the walkie talkie, but we didn't get any response. We even tried waving at the camera to get the game master's attention; again no response. After the game was over, we realized we were pushing the wrong button on the walkie talkie. 18. There was no sense of how close we were to escaping because of the false endings. 19. The games were scheduled way too close together to give the teams adequate time to debrief. We felt like we were kicked out of the room before we could take it all in. 20. The lobby was way too crowded with people going in and out at the same time. It seems like it would run a lot smoother if the start times were staggered. We did The Heist as a group of 8. Four of us had done one other room (at a different establishment), and this was the first escape room for the other four. We found the whole experience lacking on so many levels. In short, this room fell way short of expectations. It was medium-fun, but not excellent.

Scott G.

Yelp
AMAZING fun!! It is a live "escape the room" experience. We did the zombie room, which I definitely recommend! The puzzle is super challenging, and it definitely doesn't help to have a zombie chasing you the entire time to really bring the intensity. But, we solved it with a MINUTE to spare! Incredibly fun date or group activity, but be warned, it's not for dummies.

Yelp
"Egyptian Tomb" 1 of 5 stars Pending review We, as a family, were excited to try this new adventure...lock us in a room and see if we had the smarts enough to get out. We booked the Egyptian tomb for 10 people which was the max for the room. We were led into the room and told we had 1 hour to get out. We were given a walkie talkie in case we needed to communicate with the outside. We quickly spread around the room looking for clues. We found them quickly, the only problem was that the clues had to be solved sequentially. One part of our group could not solve one set of clues while another solved a 2nd set. This made for many of us just hanging back while 3 people decoded a clue. Also, after a couple minutes the person in charge of our room came in and kept saying "don't touch that. It will break and has nothing to do with the game" or "you're close to the clue", or "the clue is in the other room". I finally asked her to let us solve it since we had paid $160 plus tax for the room. There were no indications other than her saying "that's right" or 'that's wrong" when we tried to solve something. Even with asking her to be quite she kept giving clues. Also, many things in the room were broken, We were able to get in the back room before we were supposed to because the door lock was broken and the room became revealed too early which lead us on some wild goose chases. Also, there was one spot that you were supposed to use a light to get a reflection through a piece of glass and copy what you saw. It didn't work and see had to sketch what we were supposed to have seen. All in all this was very poorly designed, was set -up for 3-4 people max. You should probably find something better to do with your money! Visited May 2016
