Gezzo's West Coast Burritos

My girlfriend and I come to this location at least once a month. I frequently tell people this is my favorite restaurants for several reasons, the biggest being the people. Every time we come we are greeted with the same hospitality, Jonathan and Dillon have been there 9/10 we come, they always engage in conversation with us the second we walk in the door. Our experience always starts out well, because of the people. The food is always incredible. I never have a complaint when I frequent this establishment

I guess I got a new server, he was smashing my food down with a spoon. I asked another person to do my order over. The food is great and the workers are friendly. This is the second time I visit Atlanta, GA and I wanted to eat again there cause the 1st time was totally awesome, the 2nd time was so-so.

Great experience and the staff is always so nice and helpful. Chris, Nebula and Kai served us this time. Our food was delicious as usual. Thanks so much!

I remember going to this location a few years ago and the service and food were GREAT! Today around lunch time the whole place was terrible. First the the service area for the food was not clean and no one seemed to care that customers could see it. Customer service was non-existent! The two ladies that were working was not engaging (seemed more concerned with counting the cash from the register). I had to remind them to get my food off the cook top or it would have burnt. AND... why are they so stingy with the chips? The salsa area was dirty as well, and running low on everything! I'll ride the extra miles to the Locust Grove location next time... PLEASE DO BETTER!

We were immediately welcomed upon entry by the team. The staff was very friendly, they explained that Tuesday the children each free with an adult entree. Every bite was savory. We sat, enjoyed our meal and thanked the staff for an awesome experience. Thank you Jonathan, Jordan, Jelani and Chris!! You guys rock!

My family and I always eat at the McDonough Location. The food is great and always fresh! The Staff Members Chris, Nebula and Dalllis were all friendly and very welcoming! If you have not tried this place give them a try. The Fresh salsas are the best!

I love coming to Gezzo’s! The food is always fresh and the workers are always super welcoming. Specifically today, Johnathan, Jordan and Mrs. K were especially great! They were very nice and made amazing food!! Will definitely be coming back soon!

Ms K....U R VERY NASTY! ONLY because I have been to this location befire do I leave 5 stars. But you need to be fired. You are very nasty. You too sorry to go get stock and you cannot hear orders so you screw them up. You were so very nasty to the new nale employee. You are truly nasty. Wet friendly and food is very good and portion size is amazing. Staff was very friendly. I got the bowl. But my son gets the burrito and can only eat half and has to save it for later. My new go to place when in the area

Reviews brought me in. Service was good, food was meh. Unfortunately the rice was horrible and I mixed my bowl before realizing it. I ate it like a picky toddler eats their food, picking through the ingredients. Chips were really good so there's that.

This was my first time here. We came around 11:51 just to try something new in the neighborhood. Everything was very inviting--they greeted us right at the door and asked if we needed anything or had any questions. I got the fish bowl with fish, shrimp, and tofu. I was told everything is cooked to order, which I loved. They have a wide selection of ingredients to choose from, and since I have to be very selective with my diet, that really helped. The atmosphere was great--very inviting. They had music playing and a TV on. It felt very family-friendly. No complaints at all.

Needed a quick dinner stop on the way from FL to MO and found this little strip-mall gem south if Atlanta. Similar to Chipotle in that they serve 'make-it-your-way' burritos and bowls but different is a few key areas. (1) not a huge corporate entity-more mom and pop (or actually brother and sister owned) shop (2) Shrimp!!!! Which was freshly grilled to perfection! (Ordered the surf and turf burrito) (3) servers are actually super nice. So this is not a 5 star gourmet experience but if you are looking for fast casual, fresh healthy ingredients and to support the local community, this is the stop you are looking for!

Got just a regular chicken burrito, it was really good. Wife got a mushroom quesadilla and liked it as well. Got salsas off the bar and they were quite flavorful

Eating there since they opened. Food's fantastic. The people are wonderful! Understated dining, one of the best kept secrets in Henry County! It's my go to place when I really want to treat myself!

Very poor service, After staff finished arguing about who would take my order i was run through a confusing ordering process that ended with me having a ton of mushrooms in my chicken salad bowl that I did not ask for. Disappointing and waste of money

Tik tok got me. Everything about my bowl was mediocre. Shit was mid. No where near even chipotle quality

The food was ok but it had a low score and it wasn't the cleanest. None of the workers seemed happy or helpful except one who was the only one who greeted me asked if I needed anything, believe it was Jonathan. The salsa station was out not cleaned, the manager or owner person barely spoke and seem bothered to come out and help. The bowl was below average.

I've been going to this Gezzos since they opened. Used to be such a cool place. CA surf vibes, great service (super friendly), upbeat atmosphere, great food, etc. I went on Friday for lunch and it was the exact opposite! No one spoke to me AT ALL. Like...literally, I walked up to the counter and the woman just looked at me as if, "You know what to do". I had to speak to her first to try to get some sort of "I'm alive" response. When I said hello, she just looked at me. The second employee, a young lady, was super sweet. My go-to is a teriyaki chicken burrito. The last two times that I've gone, the flavor of white pepper killed the rest of the ingredients' flavors. Yuck! Why this change? I ordered the chicken tacos this time and was so disappointed. I threw half of it away (after spending $13 on them to add extras) because of the white pepper. It will be a WHILE until I return, if at all. Gezzos has been a favorite of my entire family and I have recommended them to some many people in the past. Too many burrito places now open to go spend my money on poor service and food. Hate to give one star, but this place has gone wayyyyy downhill. They've also cut down greatly on how many chips you get. My last to go order had 8-10 chips in the bag. :(

Gezzo's is ok if you want something a little fresh however, compared to other taco restaurants they are a bit pricey. Teenagers really don't understand cleaning as the food bar is always messy. Please take extra time to advise your team to wipe down after every order to ensure cleanliness and no cross contamination.

My family and I love coming here. It reminds us of our California joints back home in San Diego. Jonathan and Terence delivered great customer service today with a smile. Keep up the great work you two.

Gezzo has never disappointed me. My salad and steak quesadilla was fresh and delicious. The combination of Jonathan, Ethan R, Josey & manager Angela was a great team. They worked in harmony as they were patient with my orders. I was tired and hungry but they service me with smiles and anticipation of what I needed. It was another great experience which is why Gezzo get my money at least twice per month

My son wanted to try Gezzos he said it was edible but wouldn't return. It was a waste of time and money.

I came here on a Saturday around 4 pm. This was my first time coming here. I thought that it was a cool concept to build your own taco. It's almost like Moes but more of a variety. The prices were also reasonable for what they offered. The service was fast and the customer service was good. However, they could've cleaned up some of their spills behind the service area. For example, they had spills of black beans that were dried out . I know that this happens but it should be cleaned up. The taco salad was ok, but nothing to rave about because it was very bland. Maybe it depends on what you put on there.

Oooh oooh oooooooh! A lil Cali flavor in GA. I appreciate Gezzo's every time I come to Stockbridge. The fresh salsas is impressive, especially the chipotle salsa!!! Get you an extra side of that. I'm sure the chips are made fresh as well. My favorite is the tofu burrito (yes. Tofu. It is mid-firm and well marinated). It is an order at counter situation similar to chipotle, they offer tacos, rice bowls, and salad options. The service is always good and food is consistent.

I was not happy with the service, When I was ordering Gezzo's last night during my break for me and my coworker. I ordered a Spanish Burrito which turned out fine, However my order for my coworkers did not she got the ground beef burrito it wasn't anything complex, very simple order. GROUND BEEF BURRITO 12" Flour Tortilla Burrito With Rice Both Beans CHIPS ONLY w/Guac w/ Sour Cream Shredded Cheese Pico de Gallo Shredded Lettuce Diced Onion Cilantro Black Olives In that order, she got corn and that made her sick. she does not like CORN. My good coworker had to get sick because of the incompetence's of someone mixed-up corn that someone added corn in the order. For that I am not coming back there again! You lost a good time customer! Never coming back!

Finally! I found a burrito that reminds me of Southern California! First, I'm always excited when I'm greeted with a friendly face and a smile! I ordered online so I could save time and pick up my order. I ordered the steak burrito and the shrimp burrito. Both were absolutely delicious. The steak was tender and juicy, the shrimp was exactly what I had hoped for. You are able to choose from 18 different selections. The Serrano salsa had a good kick, but I'm still looking for something spicier. There's an indoor dining area that has a west coast theme. (Surfboards remind me of home even though I can't surf!) Gezzo's will be my go to place when I need a little piece of San Diego. Thanks for the great food and awesome service!

It was pretty good. Very good customer service but I love Moes wayyyyy better. It was just okay to me and I believe that they had more options for toppings as well but the flavor (to me) is not as good as Moes

Gezzo's in McDonough at 1866 Jonesboro road was bad. Receive Chicken quesadilla that was burnt. They had no sweet tea machine to brew. Instead got tap water they had to the side in small kiddie cups. No ice was available to chill the water plus they charged you for the cup of warm water. That was sorry customer service. Beware of this location. I wish I can contact the manager at this location and express my discontent.

The place was Super busy, a lil messy behind the counter, cashiers were great. These burritos were so big until I got stuffed. Better than Chipotle's

We were on a road trip and stopped here because of reviews. The place was not very clean and the portions served were very small. There was basically an assembly line behind the counter. Other than the first gal no one really spoke to us until we got our total. The food was pretty good. If I was local I don't think I'd go back...

Gezzo's was cool. It's a chipotle style place where you build your own, so you can't really mess up lol. I ordered the spicy chicken loaded nachos which were pretty good. The spicy chicken wasn't that spicy but it was flavorful. The prices were affordable and the portions were good. Not in a rush to go back but if I was in the area and just wanted something quick, I'd stop by. A chipotle, moe's alternative

My regular Wednesday spot. I pick up food for the people I work with. On my way I will call in their orders and when I get their I order mine. Always the same thing every week. Jada and Maria always deliver on great service! When I walk in they wave and get the shrimp thrown on the grill that I get for my order. The owner is a very personable person always recognizes me and chats about her other great restaurant around the corner "sweet auburn BBQ". Both of these spots are def great places to eat. Highly recommend the surf and turf burrito on a spinach wrap. Substitute the jerked chicken for the steak if ya want a spicier taste. Don't for get to add the chipotle ranch sauce.

Best vegetarian burritos stuffed like you'd like em -forget chipotle the food is very good here and I eat there often . Even accumulate points towards free purchases

Theres a new female employee & I think she may be a manager or supervisor but she has a terrible attitude. I've been going to the Mcdonough location for years without an issue but this new lady's attitude towards customers is horrible. I dont want to go back. She's rude, and changes the rules as she sees fit. I asked for chips with my queso as I've always gotten them with any size queso, she tells me no, they only come with a med or large. I'm like, where is that posted? She then takes my bag & angrily adds a scoop of chips & gave me the wrong drink with my order. I hand her the drink & she asked for the entire bag to review my receipt. Listen, I don't know what her issue is but this is the 2nd horrible encounter with her within the month & I'm not sure if she hates black women or people period but I'm done with this location & her. Theres a whole new staff & she's not good for business.

I have been a customer here for about 3yrs now. The crew really held it down during Covid. That previous staff is gone , but I'm ECSTATIC to see that the new staff is just as attentive, professional, and dedicated to providing a great overall experience for everyone who walks through their doors. In this post pandemic era, we should not take good restaurant service for granted. Love this place!

Tasty, large burritos. They had some good vegetarian options. The staff was very nice and thorough. I loved the sautéed fajita vegetables! Good for takeout

As soon as you walk in, the smell is amazing! I had the steak quesadilla, just meat and cheese. They do offer a nice choice of veggies to spruce it up. The steak was tender and nicely seasoned. The young ladies provided great customer service and recommendations since it was my first visit. The restaurant was clean. Great place for a quick grab to eat!

It's like another version of Moes it's good and it's easy to find near the target so that's a plus

Ate here for the second time in the latest weeks while I've been in town. It's says a lot that I've gone back for a second time. I had (for both times) the rice bowl with rice, black beans, spiced chicken, guac, sour cream, pico, pickled jalapeños and cilantro. It was amazing once again. Not sure if this is a chain (I don't normally like chairs) it's really Deliciou

Decent, but a little overpriced and bland compared to others that are a very similar style. This is essentially the same set up as a Chipotle, Moe's, or Qdoba. You choose your base - bowl, burrito, salad, etc. and then tell them everything you want to go on it as you move down the line. The steak was good and they gave you a decent amount of it, and I like that queso is included in the price instead of being extra (like many others). The price itself ends up more expensive than most with the extra prices of various things, and all the salsas and sauces were super bland and lacked in flavor. Not bad, just not impressive either. If I had the choice, I'd opt to visit one of the others.

This place was absolutely delicious! I can honestly say that I probably won't be returning to Chipotle or Moe's as they have let me down time and time again. The food was fresh and tasty here at Gezzo's.

After a morning consulting gig was headed back to ATL to fly home. Looking for something other than the standard chain fare and ran across Gezzo's. It took a little while to find-my GPS took me past it and I had to circle around and head into the Target/Old Navy shopping center and found it in the building just to the right of the driveway. Stay to the left upon entering and you'll see the chalkboard menu-it's not immediately clear where to start the ordering process but the staff will be happy to guide you. Think of Gezzo's as the Urban Californian hipster cousin of Chipotle. With seafood offerings as well as other meats you can create a burrito, a salad, nachos or tacos. The shrimp is grilled to order as is the fish, so expect a wait but it's warm and fresh and good. Several salsas, toppings that include cilantro, black olives and broccoli make Gezzo's a little different, in a good way. I ordered steak and shrimp tacos with chips and guacamole. The server said I could come back for more chips if needed. Around the corner is a salsa bar with several varieties, hot and mild. I liked the roasted chipotle the best. Gezzo's position themselves as West Coast which is displayed in some is the decor. The dining space is a bit dark, has mostly two tops and a couple of booths. Your office group of more than 4 may have to sit separately. There were a lot of to go orders being picked up over the lunch rush so don't be fooled by the low car count if it seems like no one is there. Glad I happened upon Gezzo's-especially since I wanted something different and unique.

Terrible customer service every single visit. The food is decent but the manager Maria is always rude. This food is too expensive for the extra attitude.

I don't know what was going on here. But I ordered a chicken quesadilla to go and when I got it home to eat this is what I received . Burnt nothing, tasted horrible ended up throwing it out. Wasted money

The food bar is not well kept. The condiment station could use some sprucing up and kept from everyone touching everything in the bar. In spite of all of this, the food was actually very tasty.

Love this place great Local shop similar to Chipotle but way better, lots of options and good staff

3.5 stars. Solid local restaurant. Spent 2.5 years away from McDonough and seriously missed this place. The food is consistently good, but the portions can be off depending on the server. I try to grab late lunches here because the line can get super long. If you're ever in, grab an order of steak nachos to go. You won't be disappointed.

This place needs better customer service. We walked in and everyone looked confused and with an attitude. Food was ok but got home with the worst stomach ache and acid reflux.

I needed to be in McDonough today for business I was told I could eat a healthy lunch at Gezzo's. The set up was similar to Moe's or Willy's (which i really like) but came off more authentic. The food had more flavor & was not as salty. Staff really friendly. Restaurant was very clean! I am glad I had lunch there.

So, I've been here once before last year. But this visit was great! Gezzo's is a pretty simple & easy place to stop for some quick food. It's basically another "Chipotle". There's bowls, tacos, burritos, etc. I personally ordered the grilled chicken bowl w the toppings I wanted. I will tell you this -- they really don't give you a whole lot of food... I'd say they kinda skimp out on putting stuff in the bowl. I had to ask for more lettuce...lol like really? I got it "for here" & it came w a side of chips. Now, those chips were good! Everyone was really friendly & greeted me when I came inside. All in all, if I lived here, I'd maybe come here about once a month. But, it was pretty decent to say the least! I'm not disappointed so that says a whole lot.

Super friendly staff await your entry into his establishment. Its a bit fast food but casual and like a Chipotle on steroids, more choices. Quesadilla, flavorful, satisfying. Tacos, ranks better than most. Got a free eggroll on checkin, couldn't beat it I will go again to this place when in GA.
