GG Coffee & Matcha

Very chill local energy. The music sits at the perfect volume and the booths are genuinely comfortable. The horchata matcha was spot on with a great balance of bitter and sweet. My only notes: the space feels a bit bare, like it could use something — plants, art, maybe a few more tables. And a couple of power outlets would make a huge difference. The staff is friendly and actually follows up to see how you’re enjoying your drink. Great job all around!

Excellent place with great vibes. You can really tell they care about their customers. The matcha and coffee were also excellent. Even though there was a small wait, they noticed we’d been waiting a bit longer than others and—without us saying anything and completely unprompted —generously covered our drinks. I appreciate the display of mindfulness. 10/10, will definitely be back.

From pictures the design looked classic, but the actual vibe was actually more casual than I thought. Compared to atypical coffee shops around the neighborhood, I would say their prices were slightly more affordable. Initially intended to get coffee only, I couldn't help to skip the sea salt chocolate chip cookie when I spotted it on the showcase right next to the order point. Being heated upon order surely elevated it though I would say I had better ones in other cafes. Still worth trying nonetheless! I got their signature cold brew with maple syrup and touch of cinnamon, added with dash of almond milk. It's tad acidic, but still in a good way and felt refreshing. I loved how the maple syrup gave sweetness into the drink, but not overpowering the taste. Overall it felt refreshing and surely would be right choice if you dislike overly milky coffee.

I want to be as understanding as possible, but incredibly fair and truthful at the same time. We came in to try GG Coffee & Matcha and ordered a Horchata Matcha and Horchata Cold Brew. I want to preface that being a lifelong LA Native, I clearly know the taste of horchata. Upon receiving my Horchata Matcha, I asked the gentleman behind the counter if it was the Horchata Matcha, to which he said “yes.” I took a sip and immediately realized that this was just a matcha with oat milk. My partner’s drink order was correct, as was evidenced by the Horchata milk and taste. I think in the future, they should prioritize either taking all orders or making drinks first, instead of one person trying to do both and ultimately getting the order wrong. I would be willing to return.

GG Coffee & Matcha is one of my go-to spots. The breakfast burrito is always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Their horchata matcha is unique and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, with a smooth matcha finish. The cappuccinos are consistently excellent, with great texture and flavor. On top of that, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is always inviting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality coffee, great food, and good vibes.

Incredible all around. I got both a coffee and a matcha. The cold brew was strong, well rounded, and balanced. The matcha is such high quality with a high matcha to milk ratio which I don’t find often. The breakfast burrito is one of the best I’ve had, and the salsa served with it on the side is amaaaazing. The owner/barista Gio is so kind, in the couple hours I was here I watched him go out of his way multiple times to make sure every customer was happy with their orders. And to top it off the prices are great and the space and atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. One of my favorite spots in WeHo, 10/10 recommend.

I got a matcha latte with coconut foam on top which was tasty. I also got a chorizo breakfast burrito which I absolutely enjoyed with their green sauce! Our barista was really kind and patient with my group of 5 friends. Thanks for the yummy meal!

I got GG's matcha latte, it was smooth and light! So yummy! They use the Rocky's ceremonial blend matcha. It's a cute little local shop with very welcoming baristas! I'll definitely be back to try their coffee next time.

Went to GG's Coffee and Matcha today for 2nd time. The first time I went it was during their soft opening hours so I missed it. Finally I am able to get it today and they close at 4pm. I got the GG's Matcha Latte lightly sweetened. It was really good and not too sweet, mixed well. Definitely recommend this one if you like matcha. Got to talk to the very friendly Logan for like 30 mins haha. She told me that they will be serving baked goods very soon. She was very cool and good listener as I blabbered off about all kinds of random stuff. I came at a slower time so there was a lot of empty seating. The place really nicely designed. It has a very classy high end look to the space. Will definitely come back again and try something new and also looking forward to their daily specials.

A cute little neighborhood coffee spot that's very serious about their coffee. The baristas are all dialed in and are very well trained. Everything was on point which is impressive since they just opened. The prices are also very reasonable compared to all the coffee shops in the area especially since they actually use high quality milks. Definitely going to be a staple in my coffee rotation.

Their matcha is awesome! The staff is friendly and very accommodating... great coffee shop feel, comfortable seating and great music!

Love GG's! So happy they finally opened. They serve Madlab Coffee's Dolly Blend & Rocky's Matcha. Oat milk by default is Koatji Oat Milk. Really cute interior with a few booths and tables. Prices aren't bad considering the location on Fairfax. Drink came to $7.38 pre tip. Will definitely be visiting regularly.

Honestly.. it simply just tasted like vanilla milk. I felt that the matcha flavor was not present, and my drink quickly became watery and not very pleasant to drink. The barista was really nice and it was quiet in there which I appreciated.. but the matcha was just not it.

GG's is my favorite for matcha! All their syrups are made in house and taste so good. They use ceremonial grade matcha and my matcha is the perfect color. I also love the mocha latte when I'm feeling something sweeter. Their coffee is well brewed and has a clean crisp taste. I also love the decor. The ambiance reminds me of a modern vibey NY diner.

I love this cute place on Fairfax. Conveniently located and tasty. Great menu. Simple and straightforward espresso and matcha drink options. Go support a local small business.

So so so happy that you guys have opened! Came here this last Saturday to get some Matcha and an oat milk latte with my girlfriend, and both were so good. The Matcha was delicious which I noticed was Rocky's Matcha ceremonial grade blend with oat milk in their house vanilla syrup..... one word DELICIOUS. Usually I get Matcha at the shop on Little Santa Monica in Beverly Hills and it came out to $8.28 which is ridiculous. Here my Matcha latte was so much better and cheaper. My girlfriend said her latte was delicious too. Really great design as well. Will definitely be back for my Matcha fix.

Iced mocha coffee was good, the matcha was horrendous. The barista didn't even use real matcha powder and it came out of a squeeze bottle when she made it. On top of that, the price was outrageous, at $7.40 for a small size. It tasted entirely like soiled milk. Even with added vanilla syrup after tasting how bad it was, nothing would save it. Amongst myself and 5 friends we almost drank the whole thing by each person having a taste, and the only photo I have to see the color of the matcha itself is here almost done. Save yourself and your pockets and don't get the matcha.
