Where To Eat New Orleans’ Best Hot Dogs

"This spot is located on a corner of Magazine Street, in the middle of all the shopping. The Chicago-style beef hot dog comes on a poppy seed bun with relish galore, and a side of fries or chips. The big menu with cocktails, salads, hearty sandwiches, and more." - Stephanie Carter, Gwendolyn Knapp

Always a new place to try on Magazine Street, and this past Saturday, we found one we really enjoyed. Surprising at how few customers were here at 1:30 to 3:00 or so. The food was really good, and the service friendly. The price is comparable to other nearby restaurants, and the menu more interesting than many. Give it a try, and I recommend the Ham & Brie Eggs Benedict.

WOW!! That was a wonderful food experience!! My husband's eyes rolled back in ecstasy at his first bite of the home-made corned beef hash, and couldn't stop talking about it all day! I had a fantastic crab and brie omlette and the sauce was heavenly! I feel compelled to comment on the previous reviews complaining about the price - the place has "gourmet" in the NAME people, what did you expect?? You get what you pay for, and what we got was worth every penny!!

The fried chicken sandwich was good. The tater tots with cheeses sauce was tasty. The 7 Mac n Cheese was missing a little something. Had to add salt n pepper. Went on a slow day so service was perfect and the server was friendly.

Breakfast or brunch here is an unmissable experience for anyone visiting the Crescent City in search of phenomenal food. Whatever you order ask for lobster butter cognac sauce on the side, and know that you can eat clean and still experience the ultimate in flavor with the prosciutto salad. It's BYOB here and let me recommend picking up a little vodka if you're a fan of an early day cocktail, because their bloody marys are top shelf.

I have worked down the street from Gott Gourmet/GG's Dine-O-Rama for five years. They are one of my favorites in the city. From the Mac-N-Cheese to the Chicago Dogs, I love it all. They recently updated their menu when the name change occurred, and I don't know how I lived without the buffalo chicken sliders before now. I've also been for breakfast several times on the weekend, and it's super reasonable. Two of us in our twenties leave waddling and happy. Long story short, you can't go wrong with this awesome place.

Goot Gourmet does sandwiches, they do brunch, they even do Chicago style hot dogs. It's an eclectic little place that offers some really good food for dining in as well as taking out. Don't forget about the drinks. Yes, they got a liquor license, which only adds to the enjoyability of the already good dining.

OMG best Reuben sandwich ever! They call it the St. Patty's Day Massacre.. shaved corned beef, sriracha mustard, Swiss, slaw, and wedge fries on the perfect thick rye bread! The wedge fries in the sandwich were awesome! Glad I made my way here during my trip to New Orleans :) plus good service and good music (the Ramones and a sunny day. Great!)
