I am extremely disappointed after ordering from Gharer Khabar today via Uber Eats. I’ve always trusted this place and frequently order from here, but today was a letdown. I was really hungry and eagerly waiting for my food, but when it arrived, the chicken was undercooked, and there was no gravy (even though I requested extra sauce in the notes). Additionally, the rice was cold, not up to the usual standard. What’s even more frustrating is the lack of attention to detail in preparing the food. My husband was very upset and said he will never order from this place again. When I checked the reviews, I saw that three other people gave 1 star within 45 minutes, which is concerning. The owner should really take a look at the quality of their service, especially when customers are excited and hungry to receive their food, only to get undercooked meals. How do you think they’ll feel? We will never order from here again until they improve their cooking methods and customer service, and, most importantly, pay attention to the notes when preparing the food, ensuring meals are hot and delicious.

Must try place for Bangladeshi food. We ordered samosa, beef tehari, Chicken roast, borhani n tea. Tehari was missing the authentic flavor.. it was more like polao with beef but with the chicken roast it tasted awesome!! They gave us a full bowl of salad as well. Tea was also good. Asked for water several times n we were real thirsty. But was not getting it. Then we got it ourselves. The waiter was really smart and professional. But there is a room to improve the service. On our 2nd visit we ordered 2 morog polao, shami kababs and beef curry. Morog polao was just wow!! We bought extra shami kabab for takeout as we liked so much. Beef curry was not bad. We ate half of the beef n wanted to bring rest of it. I went to wash my hands n when came back it was already gone!! They should have asked us before cleaning the table if we wanted to take it or not. So these guys need to improve their service quality. We also had Hilsha curry for take out n it was good.

Awful experience. I won't recommend anyone to come here. The portions were too small. Compared to that the food was expensive. The food quality and environment was not good. The chicken biryani taste dull and plain. I was not satisfied at all even though I had to pay 10% gratitude by default.

tried the morog polao, plain parata with chicken curry, mango lassi, and finished with their desi-style milk tea — everything was delicious and tasted just like home. the portions were satisfying. The place is small but cozy, and the service was friendly. Definitely coming back!

As a repeat customer with a family of eight, we ordered a variety of items. Overall, the food was delicious, but there were a few exceptions. The stuffing in the Mughlai paratha was burnt, making it unappetizing. The murgh pulao seemed old, like it was leftover from before. The kheer was extremely liquid, more like a drink than a dessert. However, the chicken roast was delicious, as were the kacci, Shutki, and beef bhuna. The menu is hit or miss, as you can see.

Very popular Bangladeshi restaurant in DC-Virginia area. Food was good, a bit oily though. We ordered Moghlai Porota, Kachhi Biriyani, Chicken Roast, Goat curry. Biriyani was really good, very flavorful with perfect aroma in it. The mutton in biriyani was also very tender and soft. Moghlai Porota was also crunchy outside and soft in inside. Chicken Roast was very oily. Goat curry was cooked well. The restaurant was not clean at all. The restroom was even worse in condition. Better to pick up food and not dine in.

This place is an authentic Bangladeshi restaurant. We come here to enjoy deshi food and we do also cater from them. The owner and the staffs are very kind and helpful. They listen to your needs with attention. We ate their shutki vuna, fish curry, chicken roast, sorisha ilish, chicken fry, samoosa, haleem, tea and what not! All of these foods taste yumm. Their price is also very reasonable. My personal favourite is their chicken samoosa, chicken fries, sutki vuna and milk tea. They do have iftar buffet also! You must visit this place to enjoy some good foods!

Food really wasn't that bad. It was really okay. Some of the food is really delicious. Went there for lunch. Fish items were unavailable, but other's was really good. I'd recommend to go. Also, fuska was really good.
