Ghirardelli Chocolate Outlet & Ice Cream Shop - Permanently Closed

My all time favorites stop after shopping. I love the thick shakes here. Perfect for the summers. The service is quick and they do offer water here. I cannot imagine a trip the outlet without visiting Ghirardelli.

Ghirardelli a big outlet and cafe for coffee and chocolates. We had Americano, hot chocolate and white moca. Didn't like the taste and also they were not hot enough to enjoy in cold weather. Seating is are is too small and cramped.

I mean come on can you really beat their ice cream sundae here? It's all about that fresh Ghirardelli hot fudge for me. Everything about it is perfect in my opinion. The service is always fast and friendly. Perfect escape for a hot summer day!

Let me just say that our experience here today was fantastic. The two girls working (roughly around 6pm) were super friendly and honestly seemed excited about their knowledge of the chocolate and menu. Top that with the sundaes we got and I'd say it was a damn good little visit!

This place reminds me my childhood, i love the combination, all melted in my mouth and so delicious. I’ll try some other different sundae next time.

You can stock up on a variety of flavors from the chocolate selection in this parlor-like sweets shop! The first thing you'll get is a piece of one of their chocolates, but other than chocolate, they serve brownies, sundaes and the like. If you're also looking for free water, they offer it as well. I would definitely recommend their Presidio Passion (strawberry-fudge sundae).

I visited the Ghirardelli Chocolate Outlet in Woodstock for the first time today. They have an incredible variety and selection of every chocolate flavor imaginable. If you're not interested in purchasing a bag of chocolates, then they also offer sundaes, milkshakes and hot cocoas. I always enjoyed visiting their landmark location near Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. This outlet store gives you a delicious sample of most of their more popular chocolates. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm at the outlets in Woodstock.

Located in the Outlet Shoppes in Woodstock, this Ghirardelli location is the sweetest place (literally!) in the outlets! It is also a must stop for us whenever we hit the outlets. It is a mix of retail shop and old school ice cream counter. On the retails side you will find every variety of Ghirardelli chocolate sold in every way possible. You can get single pieces, assorted bags, gift sets, souvenirs and even stuffed animals. On the sweetest side of the store you will find a full service ice cream counter where you can get that sweet chocolate served up in a variety of tasty ways. You can go basic and get you a scoop or go fancy and get one of the many specialty sundaes. You can even get malts, shakes and coffee drinks here as well. Service has always been stellar here. The staff is helpful and friendly from entry to exit. While you expect the items to be pricey, they are priced well being an outlet store. It is a great stop for gifts or for that secret chocolate snack you are hiding from your partner. I have honestly been here for both...

Summer hours have started at Ghirardelli! That means you can have dinner and go to Ghirardelli for a sundae afterwards! Best sundaes in Georgia! Ice cream flavors are limited, they stopped offering coffee ice cream, but if you like Chocolate, Vanilla or Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, you'll find yourself blissfully happy.

The lands end sundae had a really yummy warm brownie, but only 2 small scoops of Icecream and a lot of whip cream. It had more whip than icecream which was disappointing. The cookie crumble sundae was really good as well. This sundae had more ice cream scoops and was very good. I believe 2 different ppl made my order.

Got to the location at 8 o'clock and they were closed an hour before. What a joke. Clearly no one wants to work anymore.

Let's be honest...the ice cream is just a mechanism to get some of the best chocolate to your mouth. Ghirardelli chocolate has been a staple of my life (just like See's candy). Yep, I lived on the west coast in my youth. For years I had to beg friends to send me chocolate to get a taste of home. With the internet and Ghirardelli's expansion of ice cream shops it is easier but it is still a treat. It was mom's birthday and this is a favorite request of hers, even if it is an hour drive to get there. When picking a sundae or shake, think about the chocolate square you like most and put that flavor combination in a frozen treat. Sundaes are large enough to share, but remember you have to share the chocolate, too.

Excellent spot for sweet treats! The staff is incredibly friendly as well. I had the Treasure Island sundae and it was a perfect blend of warm brownie, cold ice cream, and hot fudge! I didn't love the $8+ price, but I knew it would be a delicious TREAT that i don't normally get.

I've been here about half of dozen times since they opened. For many years this was the only place where you could get a decent cup of coffee in the outlets. The place is divided into two areas. A retail place where you can buy varieties of Ghirardelli chocolates from bit sizes to gift tin boxes to gift baskets. The other side they serve Ghirardelli ice cream treats and coffee drinks. I've had experiences on both sides and each time I received excellent professional service. I've bought over the years a variety of chocolates from them as gifts and they were well received. I would definitely come back and recommend them.

Love desserts here just like San Fran. Oh how I miss Cali...loved my banana split and my FREE sample too can't go wrong.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Very friendly staff and quick service. Amber and Ori were both wonderful and I'll definitely be coming back. I got the white mocha latte and it was amazing

A great place to sit down and relax while shopping. The ice cream treats are great. The prices are higher than the prices at a DQ but the desserts tasted much better. The size of my order was much larger than I was expecting. The staff was not very helpful. We did not receive a greeting or any assistance when the menu items when we approached the counter. The brownie and ice cream is worth the trip alone.

Overpriced and too rich in flavor, ingredient ratio was disproportionate. I realize those things listed above are personal preferences, but those are of my own. $9 for a small cup of an inch and a half of hot chocolate drizzle at the bottom, which hardened quickly when only about a scoop of ice cream was placed on top/in the cup, then a whole mound of whip cream. There was more whip cream, as filler, than ice cream. I'd much rather buy ice cream from Brewster's. The chocolate drizzle was delicious, do not get me wrong. But either management is telling its staff to stretch ingredients out, or the staff that was serving that day wasn't trained well.

Love going in this place because they always offer a free sample! They will actually let you sample 1 of whatever you want you just have to ask first. They also have delicious ice cream. They always have sales so look out for the one you want. When they have deals on the candy bars I like to buy those.

The sweet smell of great chocolate. 1st time visit to the store was very clean and the staff was very professional. My daughter and granddaughter made purchase and was very satisfied with purchase.

Yes, y'all! I had the Land's End brownie sundae with Ghirardelli chocolate and black cherry vanilla ice cream. By far, the Ghirardelli chocolate ice cream is the best choice. The cost is a bit high at $12.19, including tax, but it's definitely a yummy treat and it also served as my dinner.

Slow as hell. I can't even tell you if it's good or not because I ordered my frozen hot chocolate 20 minutes ago and I'm still waiting on it. Overall time from when order was placed until we got it was 20 minutes. At least my son is happy with it.

So to start off this place is awesome to go too for a treat every once and a while. They have banana splits to milkshakes to full fledged sundaes that are delicious. I have had the mint milkshake (when is seasonal around fall), which was great. I have also had their cookie dough sundae, which was great as well, but I will warn you if you don't have more than one or two people to help eat your desert with you, it is a sugar overload. That brings me to my next point, sugar! The ice cream and deserts here are extremely rich, so if you don't like sugar, or can't handle a lot of it then this place is not for you. Unfortunately to me, throwing sugar on top of sugar, and then covering it in sugar does not make something taste better. I am a die hard desert fan, and review deserts pretty intensively, so unfortunately for me I have to take one star off as I don't see sugar overload being equal to a great flavorful desert. Now that's not to say the deserts don't taste amazing, they do don't get me wrong here, but I don't think after 3 or 4 bites I should be in a sugar coma already. As far as atmosphere goes, it's a very small space, and it showcases their chocolate well which you can buy separately if you desire. This is the main reason I am taking another star off though, every single time I have been, there is little to no seating, and the place is extremely crowded. So if you go, be prepared to eat your ice cream outside somewhere. As far as price goes, this place is more on the expensive side. One sundae can cost you around $8, and water is around $3 a bottle. So while this is a great treat, I only do it once or twice a year.

How do you wreck a hot fudge sundae? You do it by refrigerating premade blanks I guess. The hot fudge and marshmallow was hard and chewy. My husband broke off the plastic spoon trying to dig it out. The staff was friendly and welcoming but please make the sundaes fresh.

Watching this poor guy try to do his job and get his Co-worker to actually move. If this was a prize for moving slow she would definitely win the prize. Worst employee I have ever seen.

As we walked in the smell of chocolate instantly had us drooling! Lots of different flavors of chocolate bars to choose from. The more you buy the bigger the savings is:) there's what reminds me of an old fashioned soda shoppe inside where you can purchase freshly made shakes, sundaes, and floats. We ordered one with hot fudge, vanilla ice cream, & mini chocolate chips, and let me tell you it was very tasty. I would have preferred the sundae w/ a warm brownie, but me & my bf were sharing so I had to compromise;( darnit! Next time i'm gonna pigout and get what I want!

Great service even in the middle of the Christmas season rush. Well organized, well stocked, and great attention to detail. Very helpful staff that made sure we found what we wanted without being pushy. We will be trying out the ice cream and drinks offerings our next time through.

I love Ghirardelli but the service here today was not good. Pretty slow and my brownie Sunday - brownie was supposed to be hot and it was not. Hopefully it will better next time than to wait 15 minutes after placing the order. Pretty sure they forgot about us.

Absolutely love the free Samples. They get me in there every time for a free chocolate and I always end up buying ice cream!! My kids love it too. A little expensive but a wonderful indulgence for my family. Their staff is friendly as well. How can you go wrong with chocolate and ice cream?!

It's fun to walk in here and let the decadence of chocolate wash over you but don't buy in to the idea that the prices are dropped for you here. I got excited when I saw their chocolate bars "on sale" 5 for $12. I scooped up 10 assuming I was on to something. And you HAVE to buy in increments of 5 to get the discount. In reality, they are only $.12 more at Target. I saved a whopping $1.20 . It was disappointing after realizing this. When I make the journey to an outlet, I expect to find good deals, and this was barely a deal.

The chocolate is fantastic and the staff is amazing!!! Everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is very clean and well maintained. There are several different sundae and drink options and you can customize whatever you'd like. The coffee is my favorite!

The worst services in town I wait 30" for my golden gate and the staff just say sorry somebody already pickit up the last time for this guys

These people are very stingy with the ice cream. We've been there a total of five times I don't think I'll be coming back. The one thing that really annoys me the most is that they do not fill up the cup. The ice cream is below the top of the rim of the cup and then they topped it off with 2 pounds of whip cream. In addition they expressed that they pack the ice cream in the cup, however, that is not true. They really just fluff it in the cup. Do yourself a favor and support your local creamery.
