One of the Coolest Retro Kitchy Lounge Bar Theatre Experiences you can have in the Detroit Metro Area is at GHOSTLIGHT. I have seen several great Variety Shows there that were very entertaining including Charming Disaster, DAHMER’S BREAKFAST, HAMTRMCK IS GAY, Piano in the Middle of the Room, and more. The Bar is also very old school and cool.

wonderful place. i come here with my friends for dungeon synth night & other weird sht pretty often. good prices, great folks, sound system and stage setup is always wonderful. i would absolutely recommend this venue/bar for anyone looking for a fun show and tasty drinks in the area. i'm moving soon and will miss the hell outta this place. thank you ghost light!

Lovely place to see a show, have a beer, and hang with friends. Drinks are strong and affordable, and the place is clean with nice aesthetics. The music sounds so good.

I love this Bar! I really enjoyed the open mic night for Musicians. So much talent. The MC guy was really cool too. Just a nice place to hang.

A real Rock 'n' Roll establishment ! just go ! Cherry Drop ! Sonic Smut ! and Burning Freedom Tore it up !! my band soft spot traveled from CT to olay Cherry Drop album release and we'd make the drive anytime for thise guys !!

Would not serve me and my friend group. The bartender said the bar is not open to a group of black men and women when two white guys at the end of the bar had drinks. Because of the way we were treated we skipped going to the comedy show next door that was apart of the Motor City Comedy festival

This place has a ton of character. I especially love the lunarloo to be honest. The staff are friendly, and I got good vibes from the patrons when I was there. The beer selection was limited but fairly diverse, and funny burger was delicious. Parking is hard to come by on a Friday night though, and for the other bands playing there, the stage is tiny and cramped. The sound guy was great though, and I'd go back to play another show or even hang out for sure.

Bought some drinks for the wife and I. The place was laid back and the bartender was cool. Will be back again.

Fabulous Songwriter Open Mic Night - the regulars are worthy of following and supporting. Plus Dave is a heck of a host.

Came here to support a good friend DJ'n for a special event - it's definitely a dive bar. Please note when you first come in the door - it's the area to the right; there's also a person at the front desk. The offer $2 popcorn at the front and $1 bag of chips (please note they're really 50 cent bags) but of course you're paying for not having to leave. The bartender is cool and chatty; also will do shots with you. Drinks are strong and cheap beers as well available.

A little dark, dingy, dive bar where they have stand up improv on a regular basis. We went for the George Co-Stand-up on a Tuesday. It was an intimate crowd, not to big, not too small. 2 comics get up at the same time and play off each other. At times it was very awkward and not funny. They seem to default to trash/sex/don't go there topics when they reach a dead zone. I appreciate witty humor to the low hanging fruit type. Full bar, and good prices. Would definitely go back.

Casual, no frills bar where they'll take care of you and make you feel welcome. The bartender (forgot his name, he had an accent) prepared good, cheap drinks in plastic cups and even made me a nonalcholic cure when I mentioned that I had hiccups. I feel like this is a vodka-soda/whiskey-coke type of place, something simple but enough to get out and do something. The music here is chill, and the tone makes you feel like you're at a friend's house, so much so that you almost want to ask if you can crash on the couch. It's complete with a dog in a sweater roaming around by the stage if you're lucky and stay late enough. And just like a friend's, it would be fitting to hang out and grab a drink or two, or leave with your eyes half-closed after having a few too many.

You can't ask for a more awesome place to hang. Filled with wonderful people, really fantastic entertainment, delicious food pop ups, well priced alcohol, & a low key community centric vibe.

My favorite bar in the world. No TV's. Tons of live bands and events. The best staff. Want a quite night to play cards, you got it. Want a loud ruckus night? That's there too. 5 taps of decent beer selection. Cheap cans. Great liquor selection. Many nights they have a pop up food option. The burgers have been great lately.

Great place -- neighborhoodly vibe with lots of great community programming and fun venues close by.

The only bad thing about this place is that the hand dryers feel like someone is breathing on your hands.

Dirty, loud and I have good reason to believe something was put in my drink. Unsafe. There are so many great (safe) bars in Hamtramck. Go to one of those.
