"__Why did this hotel catch your attention? __ Next to the famed Bucks County Playhouse in the heart of New Hope, the Ghost Light Inn epitomizes the modern barn aesthetic from its riverfront perch. What's the backstory? It's owned by the same people who own the historic Bucks County Theater (hence the name, which honors the light always left on in every theater). Tell us all about the accommodations. Any tips on what to book? All of the rooms have a ruggedly handsome appeal complete with reclaimed wood paneled walls and platform beds with leather headboards. Book a riverfront room for stellar views from the Juliette balconies. Is there a charge for Wi-Fi?No charge. Drinking and dining—what are we looking at?The in-room mini bar has some unusual elements (a naughty box, for one) and Stella, the in-house restaurant, is run by chef Jose Garces. Breakfast is not included, but walk down the street to the Ferry Market for coffee and fresh pastries. How was the service? It is a boutique inn, so you'll get friendly service with a staff that really knows the best places to go in the area. What type of travelers will you find here?Couples of all ages who want to leave the city, but not their sense of style, behind. What about the neighborhood? What else is around here?Unless you're looking for a twee bed and breakfast, this is by far the best place to stay in New Hope. It's in the heart of it all and you'll likely never need your car once it's parked here. Is there anything you'd change? All of this hipster chic doesn't come cheap. You do have to pay up. Any other hotel features worth noting?Check the schedule for the Playhouse in advance and consider planning your visit around a show. Bottom line: Worth it? Why?Definitely. Ghost Light Inn's stylish digs prove that country charm can be cool and contemporary too." - Nancy DePalma

Such a gem! Ghost Light Inn is so beautiful, clean, great view of the river and it was the perfect location where our family could walk to any shops and restaurants without driving. We loved staying here. The staff were accommodating, and I especially loved the pillow menu. I am currently pregnant and we have 2 toddlers with us on this trip, room 5 was the perfect accomodation that offered ample space for our family and the bed was so comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom was clean and modern, I loved the water pressure of the shower. The continental breakfast made it so easy for our kids to eat something in the morning, without us venturing out in the morning. Stella was delicious, we loved the food and the service at the restaurant. The only thing that could've made this place even more perfect was stronger coffee! Definitely will return!!

This is a beautifully situation inn, right in the Delaware River with an outdoor walkway below and chairs to hang out on and enjoy the scenery and water. The rooms are clean and attractive, staff friendly, location in New Hope perfect. The only thing missing is small balconies you can sit out on from your room.

Let me tell you a story about this amazing place called the Ghost Light Inn!!!!!|We stayed from Thursday, 06/19/2025 to Sunday, 06/2/22/2025. My son got married here. I start by saying that there was no power on Thursday, 06/19/2025. The service was amazing. They helped us bring our luggage upstairs to the 3rd floor with the upmost respect and care. Credit was immediately given for the night, no questions asked. From the parking staff, the staff at the welcome desk, the house keeping staff, the event staff, the food, the service, this whole team is amazing, amazing. I asked the management how did they do it? How were they able to finds the same type of people, giving the same type of Service and Care and professionalism at the same time. We felt as if they were taking care of their own family. This experience made the wedding the most perfect event I have ever attended. For those 3 days, it felt as we were at a palace in other part of the world. omg, The food was family style, prime A1A steak, baked chicken, potatoes, asparagus and an array of other food items that were perfectly cooked from a 100-million-star restaurant rating if such a number exists. let's not forget the cocktail hour, please, amazing. I can write a book if I could because this place is amazing. The care they had for us wow, 100 million % if such a number exists. There is truly nothing negative to say because if when we arrived there was no power and they took care of us from the start..... this people are awesome!!! I loved my stay. This was my first time going on a weekend getaway alone. The room was comfortable and inviting. The amenities were quality products, which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the carriage house. The room offered a balcony and it's own sitting area.

We recently stayed overnight for my wife’s birthday. We have stayed in New Hope and Lambertville many times, but in season the Ghost Light Inn is usually booked. Overall it’s a very nice hotel, in a nice location. If my review sounds less than excited it’s because when I pay that much for a room, my expectations are very high. When checking in I inquired about the hours for the complimentary breakfast. I was told that’s only Monday through Friday which was not clear on the website. Considering they don’t even serve breakfast in their restaurant, and don’t offer room service at all, this was a major negative. They must get a lot of complaints about this because there was a sign in the room indicating no continental breakfast on weekends. They should have posted that exact sign on their website! The room itself was nice, but small. On the plus side, The bed and linens were very comfortable. The Juliet balcony is actually a nice full length glass door that opens all the way, and the views are nice, but it’s not a true Juliet balcony. The bathroom was small, but also very nice. I called the front desk to inquire about the complimentary gourmet coffee that they advertised only to be told that they no longer offered it and their website and literature in the room, were not up to date. We did use their coffee maker only to find out at checkout that the bottled Nestles water was actually the “smart water” on the minibar menu at $6 per bottle! If this had been clear I would have still consumed them, but trying to pass a minor brand as “smart water” is unacceptable. I acknowledge that some of my comments could be interpreted as I was looking for freebies, but that’s not the case. I just expect properties to perform to the level they advertise. I also don’t appreciate being nickeled and dimed at luxury room rates. Instead of impressing me by going above and beyond, overall they performed below expectation. With so many wonderful options in the area, we won’t be returning. I hope that this review alerts others, who like me have high expectations, to stay elsewhere.

What a lovely getaway location! Regardless if it is for a night or a weekend. Location is in a heart of New Hope center with lovely view of Delaware river. When opening curtains in the morning ducks were in the river to greet me. Restaurant is excellent, staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a thoughtful luxury feel

Very nice boutique hotel in a perfect location - right in the center of town. Onsite parking is a breeze and staff was great. The room was excellent, fantastic shower, bed and linens and nice amenities. We’ve done bed and breakfast places and lambertville inn but this was much nicer

We had an amazing time at Ghost Light Inn. My husband and I did the midweek getaway for our anniversary. Worth every penny! Champagne and fruit waiting for us when we arrived. Early check in. Room was absolutely beautiful with a juliette balcony and the doors pulled completely open giving us a great view of the river. The staff downstairs was so knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They walked us to our elevator. Our welcome note was personalized with where we traveled from, loved that special touch. $150 gift card to Stella included. We had brunch there before we left. So delicious and they even brought us a glass of champagne because they found out it was our anniversary. When checking out I didn't realize I left my necklace behind and the maid had the front desk staff call me right away so I could get it back. I really appreciated that. They made us feel special and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a couples getaway. They really go the extra mile for their guests.

Yelp
The staff was very accommodating. Our room was ready when we got there at 12:30 pm. I love when we don't have to wait for our room. Everything very clean. Comfortable. When they heard it was our anniversary we found a box of chocolates outside our door. Their restaurant Stella, had a very nice brunch. Setting is beautiful overlooking the River.

Yelp
Pros: Beautiful location Clean spacious room Very nice employees Cons: $20 for parking is a ripoff Mini bar prices ($12 for a beer) Shower awful Loud when a wedding is going on

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous, relaxing. This is the most stunning place we have been. We like to travel around to little boutique hotels for a recharge. This is by far the best one yet! It's a little tough because my wife and I sleep in separate beds but not that night!!! If you are looking to go someplace special with somebody special this is it! We stayed in the carriage house suite and it exceeded expectations. The management is top notch!

Yelp
We live less than 5 minutes away and have been wanting to try this place since it's gone up. We finally stopped in for an early dinner on Friday. It was gorgeous and the staff were very friendly but the food was eh. I am a 'clean my plate' kind of girl. I always finish my entire meal and then usually my husbands as well. And we both left a fair amount of food on the plates. We ordered the fried shrimp and grits to start...it was just ok. I wanted to love it, I went into it really trying to love it. The shrimp were very crispy which was nice but didn't pack any flavor on their own without the Chili dipping sauce. The grits they were on were very tangy, it was an odd combination. I ordered the roasted chicken entree and was surprised when it was just a thigh/wing. The chicken itself was good and the mashed potatoes it was on was good as well but the sauce it was sitting on and vegetables were inedible. It honestly made my eyes water. I'm not sure if it was the Yuzu or what but it was all over everything and I was unable to eat anything but the chicken and some potatoes that didn't have the sauce on it. My husband ordered the Porkchop and it was cooked nicely but again the flavor of the sauce was just very odd. We both left most of our meal and went down the street for burgers. The menu itself was very small as well. Maybe going for the atmosphere and some drinks would have been a better experience.

Yelp
We booked my birthday for an overnight stay. We haven't been away since the whole covid situation. I was a bit worried staying at a hotel but I was pleasantly surprised at how everything was handled. Jimmy was outstanding and accommodating. Our room was room nine and it had breathtaking views of the river. The room was immaculate just like their property at The Carriage house. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Yelp
Great location, amazing river views, really nicely done. 4 stars instead of 5 because the room was dusty and the window screens were extremely buggy - not the end of the world but would expect better for the price

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for a weekend at the Ghost Light Inn in March 2022. We stayed in the executive suite (room number 3). The room was clean, spacious and had a very pretty view overlooking the Delaware river. The bed was very comfortable as are their chairs. The hotel is right in New Hope and in walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this quaint hotel when visiting New Hope.

Yelp
Clean, new and a very accommodating hotel with a great view. But most of all, Mark the night manager went so far and above his duties to help us. Our TV had an issue and he worked on it for almost an hour to resolve the issue. The entire time Mark apologized for the inconvenience. I would hire this guy in a minute. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. The parking situation was not as good but nothing is perfect.

Yelp
I love Ghost Light Inn and so did the guests I brought here, the producers of "Let's Travel Radio," who travel around the world for their work. We all were so appreciative of the quality of the rooms, the amenities, the incredible eye to detail. I loved the Juliet Balcony where I looked out the window on the most beautiful views and felt like I was on a cruiseship -- not on land, the water is that close. I recommend it highly!

Yelp
HORRIBLE end of my WEDDING NIGHT. I called to make my reservation and paid a couple days prior to my wedding day. As far as I was told I was staying at the Carriage House Inn. NOTHING was mentioned about Ghost Light Inn. I arrived at the Carriage House and not 1 sole was in the building or at any front desk. No sign. A Button to push for Front Desk. I pushed it, nothing. I called the hotel. A third party answered and they didn't know about which hotel I was even talking about. I explained I needed help getting into my hotel The Carriage House, my KeyFob wasn't working. I have videos and pictures to prove everything. The third party person over the phone said they will have someone call me within minutes. NOT 1 CALL was made back to me. My and my husband decided we couldn't stand outside in the freezing cold anymore and called another Uber back to take us home. The hotel Owner will not refund my $450.. They keep calling my situation a "cancellation" but it wasn't. I went there on my wedding night with nothing but full intentions on staying over and i was locked out with no help even after calling the emergency line. NO ONE GIVE THEM BUSINESS. Not professional on how they are handling it.
