Ghost Pepper Taqueria & Tequila

Nice little taqueria! Tacos were pretty full for their size, guacamole order had a healthy portion of guacamole and chips. Margaritas was tasty. Service was impeccable, Emily did a great job of serving drinks/appetizers without being pushy on the main dish order. Kudos to Ghost Pepper too, it was our anniversary and they gifted us an order of churros! Very kind! We will be back!

Finally made it to the Ghost Pepper for a maragrita flight on national margarita day! And It was excellent! Cool Ambience, very chill. Good place to take a date. Nice size glasses with great flavor options. I tried the blueberry lemon/strawberry basil/ black raspberry. They were strong too! We also ordered the Taquitos, and they weren't good to us. No flavor and chicken was very dry in them . Waitress did credit the bill and that was nice of her. I'm definitely going back to try the tacos on Wednesday. There half price! There Weekly specials rock! Nice place! 👌🏾

I’ll start this review by saying how much I love Barrio. But, my wife and I decided to give this place a try tonight. And- wow, I’d so glad we did. Every part of our meal was quality. We ordered a margarita flight ($3 off on Thursdays, I think). They were great. We ordered some chicken tacos. They were so good. The flavors were deep and the meat was very high quality. The chicken was much better than Barrio (and remember- I LOVE Barrio). We ordered chips and queso. The chips tasted freshly made. Finally, we ordered nachos. If we came back, my wife and I would consider only ordering this and margaritas. We ended up only eating half. I’d definitely recommend. We’ll be back.

Amazing! Super clean! Service is well above par. The food is simply stellar. Reservations are highly recommended and sometimes required. I have tried all but 5 menu items and they were all enjoyable. I am not one that can handle spice and my husband can’t get enough spice the ghost pepper tacos were on point for him! I truly highly recommend this restaurant, it is quaint, personable, clean and very delicious! Keep up my the great work!

Everything was great! Our server was a sweetheart. Food came out in great time and was delicious. Margarita flights were awesome, love getting to try all the different flavors. Warning, if you can't handle the heat, I don't recommend anything with the ghost pepper seasoning on it, there's not much flavor, only pain haha

I love this place. The margaritas they have are dangerous but go perfectly with the Ghost whisperer tacos 🌶🌶🌶 the Ghost peper dust on the marinated chicken can be served on the side if you're not feeling brave. Pro tip* Try and order 1 with the double DEEZ shell.

Great food including two nights with happy hours. The taco menu provides different options from the usual fare, huge nacho appetizer, classic and flavored margaritas are excellent, with flights available. Friendly staff.

We had a great experience tonight at Ghost Pepper! The server was friendly and took his time explaining the menu and the excellent Wednesday specials with some spot-on recommendations! The food and drinks were quite tasty and varied enough to please any palate. The spicy pickle margarita was an unexpected hit! Tacos were innovative and well-crafted and we were able to enjoy a unique atmosphere that was fun while still being quiet enough for a good dinner conversation. We will absolutely return for the flavor and friendly staff! What a gem!!!

This place is great for drinks - I had the margarita flight, and they took care providing me drinks that were allergen free. They even made my drinks first before mixing others who were having drinks containing my allergens which I appreciated. I liked the food however for the portion and quality I think the price is a bit steep. I did not think that the food was particularly fresh, in fact my tacos tasted a bit stale. However, the chips and guac were great. I think I would come here again but I would go exclusively for the drinks. I would like to add that I had great service and while the restaurant is small it was clean and well kept.

Terrible service. Can see what your eating lol! More like a nightclub without dancing or a dance floor. Food was...interesting and creative. Cheese sauce on the burrito was tasteless and bland. The chicken was good. The prices are not what they advertise and disclose. They don't disclose their service charges and surcharge on their menus which is a major infraction. So they charge you more than just sales tax without letting you know. Keep your eyes open. Salsa is garbage. If you get bad service and don't tip, or tip little, they will put their own gratuity on the charge. Dissapointing. Needs serious training and consultanting assistance on this one. Nice sign and nice pictures with a large bank account, doesn't quite deliver what is hoped. Has good promise. Catered to women, not an ideal place for men to feal comfortable, especially if men are paying for the drinks.

I heard a lot of good things about this place and I was excited to try it out ... let's just say, you won't know until you try. I was disappointed to say the least. It turned out to be a bust. You don't get your moneys worth here at all!!! Our burrito bowls were most Spanish rice. Not much else. The service was ok but that's about it. The chips and salsa were not good either. Flavorless. Glad I tried it. I do not recommend this place to anyone. It's overpriced and the food is bland. Super small potions too. Nah... it's a hard pass for me.

We saw a tik tok on how good this place is. So we decided to come check it out. It was very disappointing. The salsa was very bland. My food was so heavy handed with queso and seasoning I couldn't even taste the meat. My wife's tacos were also a let down. She had the one with the pulled pork and the pork was over cooked. She also got the grouper which she didn't even eat cause it just had a bad smell to it. The service is not the greatest. It wasn't a busy night at all and our waitress was super slow. I like the concept it's the follow through that is a let down.

Had a lovely time trying Ghost Pepper. It has a fun vibe with great decor. The space is lit with red lights and has a great photo opp. Server was good and attentive. Food was delicious. Nachos were huge! Margarita flight was delicious. Highly recommend strawberry and lemon blueberry. Yum!

Great concept, decor and tequila all behind a heavy door with the perfect peep hole. We had reservations, which was a plus, Ghost Pepper was packed. We were seated and greeted pretty quickly, drink specials were given, along with a list of tequilas. The orange margarita was delicious. We ordered the house salsa, a little bland fir my preference, but it was the consistency was authentic. We also ordered the pineapple guacamole, this however was full of flavor, great dish. We placed entree orders, which turned out a bit tricky. I opted for the Diablo shrimp bowl with rice, my husband ordered the pork tacos with the soft/crunchy shell combo...once the orders came out they were mixed up, after a few minutes the ordered were reversed and brought back out. Our entrees were okay, they were both hot, we knew that when we ordered. I guess i expected there to be more flavor to the shrimp than just searing heat, the rice was too wet so the combo just didn't work, the citrus slaw was good. As you can see, Ghost Pepper is funky, good vibe, but the lighting makes it hard to see the menu or anything for that matter. Might try again when it's warmer and the garage doors are open.

The food here was delicious, but the serving sizes are off. Tacos are street taco size and you get 2 for $9-12, however 2 is not enough, but it's crazy to spend another $9-12 to get more..... The queso with chorizo is delicious, but they do not give you enough chips for the amount of cheese, and then they charge you for extra chips (I think it was only a couple bucks but still...) The service has always been fantastic and the margaritas (flight) is soooooo good, if you don't want a flight, the blueberry lemon is super good!

We LOVE spicy food, so I had to come try the Ghost Pepper tacos. This restaurant is almost an hour away, but we so glad we make the trek. The atmosphere was very on theme and relaxed. The ghost pepper tacos with chicken had a lot of heat but perfectly balanced with cheese and salsa. Also tried the chorizo and egg taco, which was flavorful! The fried ice cream dessert was massive and perfect sweet end to a spicy dinner. I wished I lived closer!

What a fun place!!! I will say, if you make a reservation, and they are full for the night, your reservation is only good for 90min The atmosphere is awesome! They might be under-staffed, like everyone else, but the staff is so nice. Our server was Danielle - she was awesome !! We tried a margarita flight (on point!!!!), some guac (peanut/honey), some salsa (we had the ghost), the quesadilla and the Bubba tacos. Everything was AMAZING. I have no idea how anyone could say this place is bad. Such a cool place and so close to home!! Woot for us On Wednesday and he tacos are $4 each and you can mix and match so you can try as many as you want to!!

Ghost Pepper Taqueria is outstanding! The food and drinks are all made with fresh ingredients. Ghost Pepper has a large selection of good quality tequilas and every type of margarita you can imagine. I have to say the orange habanero margarita is my favorite. If you can't decide what kind of margarita you like, sweet or spicy, you can get a flight. We started off with guacamole, salsa, and chips. I have my guacamole a twist and added the bacon and jalapeño which made it even better. All of their guacamole and salsas are made fresh to order! Every dish we ate off the menu has been yummy. All of he staff is friendly, from the time you walk in with the welcoming host to seat you, our waitress, Jenna, to the cook from the kitchen! Our waitress, Jenna is the best around! Jenna is friendly, conscientious, and knows the menu. I highly recommend Ghost Pepper.

What a great hidden "red" gem! We saw Ghost Pepper a few weeks ago when heading into Olmsted Falls and knew we had to check it out. It's in a random plaza with only the logo outside the building. It gives the vibes of a place that should be in Ohio City or Tremont, but in a plaza in Berea. The inside lighting and decor is so cool. The food and drink is even better. We had delicious margaritas, that were not too syrup-y. Also the tacos were divine and fresh! We told our friends to immediately check this place out because it's a for sure go again!

Came here based on high ratings from a Tik Tok review. Well... I've since unfollowed that reviewer based on our experience here a few weeks ago. We started with drinks and the corn dip & queso. The drinks weren't the greatest. I got the lemonchello margarita. Unfortunately, it only tasted like tequila. The corn dip was very watery and the queso was so so. Our party ordered tacos and a bowl. The rice tasted like it was a popular store bought brand and the tacos were alright - nothing earth shattering. Among 3 people who got one drink each and one entree (the tacos don't come with a side), the bill was over $120 before tip. The atmosphere was great but overall, I wouldn't return.

This place hard to find but worth it when we finally located the joint. We were visiting from out of town and the directions took us to the next door location because Ghost pepper was literally not easy to locate. The food, drinks and staff made up for it so good we even went back a second night and ended up meeting the owner. I made suggestions about Al Le Carte tacos for those that want to sample each.-- the answer was NO lol (yelpers keep trying!!) We entered the red lights were cute and it wasn't over crowded. We sat at the Bar and Mike was the coolest bar tender -- he gave suggestions and insight on which drinks were most popular. The Margarita is the ONE! Food- it was very tasty, hot and well portioned. Thank you to the chef and the help I would Definitely go

Great date night! Started with the margarita flight which was a great way to try a few different flavors. I really enjoyed the Orange Habanero one! Hubby got the bistecca tacos (flat iron steak, cabbage slaw, creamy avocado verde, roasted corn, cojito cheese) and I got the Floridian (blackened grouper, pineapple salsa, queso fresco). I do wish there was an option to add a third taco for a few dollars more (each order is 2 tacos). Would also love to be able to mix and match. The food was good - prepared well, nice presentation, and decent value. Word has it there's going to be a quesadilla added to the menu soon.

We've been talking about trying this place, we arrived at 8:20pm. The closing time online was 10:00pm. The bartender informed us that the kitchen may be closed at this time but she would check. This was fine with us, we could've just gotten a drink and went elsewhere. She said she was still taking orders so we ordered tacos and queso, both very good. The aesthetic of the restaurant, and the menu was very appealing, however the bartender made it clear she didn't want us there, the couple sitting next to us informed us of the drink specials. The bartender turned all the lights on at exactly 9:30. When I asked what time they closed she said "we close at 10 but we never stay open that late" Overall, food was good, margaritas were great, bar was cool. Service was subpar as we almost didn't feel welcomed, which definitely threw off the vibe. This misunderstanding could possibly be fixed by changing the hours of operation online!

Was my first time going to ghost pepper Taqueria and tequila. The tacos were OK, but I'm giving this review five stars because of their tequila and tequila selections. They have the best tequila menu I've come across so far, granted I've only been in Cleveland for a month. If you like to drink tequila like I do, this is definitely a good place to go. Great atmosphere too. Chill vibes, cool lights. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it.

Food was good, a nice selection of tacos, burritos and bowls with plenty of flavors to choose from. I got the ghost whisperer and the Bubba tacos both were very good. I'd recommend getting the ghost pepper dust on the side and experiment, otherwise it could be trouble! Crazy hot stuff. My wife had the Al pastor and barbacoa tacos and enjoyed both. Queso was very good and large portion. Very friendly and expedient wait staff, greeted us at the door and sat us and took drink orders very quickly. A great assortment of Tequilas and Margaritas, I had the black raspberry and it was delicious. Fun Interesting atmosphere that matches the logo, comfortable and clean. I'd recommend giving it a try. We will be back.

this place is extremely annoying, like it's always "something" with this place that always leaves you irritated, like i legit just tried placing an online order at 8:20 something pm (since you can't call and place a takeout order like a normal restaurant) on April 5 2023 because Google and Siri says they close at 9pm on Wednesday after placing my order, my mother went to go pick up the order for me but they closed early and some guy named Kenneth called and said they can't make the order because they closed, thats bs, i do not care what reason it was, they should stay open until the designated time that's posted online. period. and when you order online for takeout, you're FORCED to leave a tip, there's no option for "no tip" but there is a tab that says custom tip, but that's dumb, i just want the option to opt out and click no tip without all the extra steps. also, i genuinely hope this place closes down, it's such a headache dealing with these people.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try on a random Wednesday night for dinner. We walk in to an extremely super loud and dark atmosphere. All of a sudden all eyes turned to us. We felt extremely out of place as everyone was I n groups and mainly wearing sport coats abd dresses. Not sure if this was a with parry or a special gathering for somebody but we felt judged. We were just in jeans and t shirts. Not sure what the dress code was. Secondly, no worker came up to us to see what we needed, didn't see anyone working as a server and didn't know what we were supposed to do. My wife and I left. I'm not gonna give it a poor review for any certain topic. We were excited to try it bit felt uncomfortable so we left. I guess my only advice would be to maybe if it was a work party or a private event then maybe advertise that. I'm sure we will try it in the future, just not on a Wednesday. ​

We love this place, especially when the margarita flights are on special. They have specialty margaritas and tacos. The only drawback is that it is small but most speak easys that I have been to are. It gets filled up quick on the weekends.

Staff and owners are just as amazing as the food and drinks!! Never have had a bad experience in all the times we've gone. The ambiance is nice and inviting. One of our favorite places to go for margaritas, my husband wasn't feeling any of the flavors this time around and just wanted a plain peach margarita (which isn't on the menu) our server made it happen for him!

do not waste your time at this awful restaurant. waited for 1.5 hrs for 6 tacos while everyone seated after got their food. the absolute worst service I've ever experienced in my life. im sure this place will not be open long. disgusting.

First time visiting. Food was good and margaritas were great. It's a very cool place and a nice take on the whole tacos and taqueria thing. But very expensive. For a family of 3 with alcohol the bill was around $100. Also the service was a bit slow starting out

I have to say I had very high expectations coming to eat here. we ordered the chips and house salsa which was amazing! ordered a side of queso which never came. the drinks were on point and great but took forever when the restaurant and bar were not even busy...we ordered our food well before our 3rd guest joined us, and our guest got their food way before they brought out wrong items to our table for the 2nd time. at this point our server had to come over and re-ask us what we ordered...at that point we told her to forget about our food since we had been there for a hour already. I will definitely not go back. very disappointed.

We went on a Friday night and everytning was below average. Drinks, tacos service and everything. Not impressed.

Ghost Pepper is our favorite new place to eat! We have taken so many groups of friends and family there and everyone absolutely loves it. It's such a break from the typical Mexican restaurant. The food and drinks are innovative, fresh, creative and absolutely delicious. We drive 40 minutes once or twice a month to go. Highly recommend the jalapeño margarita and the Ooh La La tacos. The nachos are 100% the best out there as well as the guac with hot honey. Do yourself a favor and try it!

We've been here several times now and haven't been disappointed yet. Besides the great tacos and beverages, what keeps us coming back is the bar staff. Jess and Alliha (I hope that I spelled it correctly...lol). Being a business owner myself, I know how hard it is to find great employees. So just go to Ghost Pepper Taqueria, grab a seat at the bar (or at a table if that's your thing), order yourself some tacos and a beverage and enjoy. You can thank me later.

i would not come here, their tacos are small and overpriced (just like everything on their menu) like you can go to maya down the street on bagley rd and get a full dinner for the price of one order of tacos from this establishment. also, the staff is rude, they will gossip about their customers when they leave, I've witnessed it while sitting at the bar. please save your money and go to a real authentic mexican restaurant if that's what you're craving, and you can thank me later for giving you the heads up about this place.

The BEST burrito I've ever had!!! I ordered the Mack burrito and it was amazing!! Also this place is super decorated and the mirror at the bar is a super cool touch. The service was amazing. Shout out our server Jenna

Great atmosphere. Got to speak with the owner she is so passionate about what she does. We got the margarita flight- all were delicious- totally recommend the jalapeño one. Ordered the bubba tacos- shrimp was large and flavor was awesome!!

The amount of 2 star reviews with good things to say is honestly very funny. People in this area are the definition of privileged. Chill out Bill. There's more important things to complain about other than $10 tacos (comparable prices to other taquerias in the area). When I went for the first time with some friends, we received top tier service. Bartenders were extremely helpful and friendly, food came out fast (Mexi is always fantastic), drinks were wonderful, and the QUESO...speechless. With saying this, I've returned multiple times. Alliha and Jess are definitely ALWAYS doing the damn thing! Their constant efforts to ensure that whatever group I bring in has an extraordinary experience is definitely a reason why I come in as much as I do. Crazy to think this cool lil spot is in Berea of all places. Will most definitely return.

This place is so cool and the tacos are super yummy. I like that on Wednesdays you can get each taco for only $4! The Korean taco is my favorite.

I was super impressed with this establishment. The Smash-berry craft Margarita was fantastic. It was like a tequila bramble with tres agave. The mint and salt rim definitely gave it good contrast. My second margarita, the jalapeño margarita with a tajin salt rim, was also delicious!! We ordered the Nachos and they were some of the best we've had. The chorizo chicken blend with the creme Fresca was addicting. Our table of four had no problem clearing the large helping. The Floridian and Bisetta tacos were out of this world! I highly recommend!! Service and ambiance were great too-we will definitely be back. So much more to try.

The service was impeccable. At a time when most places are apologizing and asking for understanding because it's so hard to get help this place couldn't have been more accommodating. So five stars for the wait staff. But the tacos servings were way too small - just a few little shreds of pork amidst I don't know what. And there is no excuse for cold stale corn tortillas. Not sure who's idea of Mexican this is. Very very very loud.

Margaritas are fantastic! Lots of variety and super fresh. HOWEVER, our waitress was super sweet, but the hostess came over multiple times to essentially shoo us out. It was very uncomfortable, and I was disappointed. We are two parents on a date night that made a reservation well in advance. Very local and love to support our community, but will definitely look elsewhere for a parents night out!

So after finally finding this place (they will be getting signage soon) we started with one of the house margaritas. Delicious. Queso with chorizo was delicious. Bar staff was knowledgeable about tequila and the menu. Tacos were delicious and portion size (2) was more than adequate. Will definitely be back and hopefully to try the fried ice cream.

I loved this place! I have been all around the country and have had many tacos from many places, these tacos were great! The margaritas are amazing too, so flavor full and I don't like my drinks too sour, so these were perfect. The salsa had a bit too much cumin for my taste and although the chips and salsa are not free they are plentiful. The chips they fry themselves, I mean who does that anymore? They also have a huge range of tequilas from all over. Go check this place out!

If I could come here everyday I would. The tacos are so good. The drinks are crafted perfectly. It's a small place, and gets busy quickly, but the staff does the best that they can. I recommend this place 10/10. Some of my favourites include the following tacos: bubba (if you like spicy and shrimp), al pastor, and the pollo. For drinks, I love their craft marg the smash berry. Bottom line: if you love high quality tacos and Margs, and a cool ambiance, this gem in Berea is the place for you!
