Beth our waitress was so bubbly & attentive. She made our experience what it was tonight. She deserves a raise! We ordered a Caesar salad and spinach bread to share as an appetizer. The Caesar salad was good, for me it tasted heavy on the anchovies. The spinach bread was delicious and so was the red sauce that came with it. My entreé was a special: steamed clams. A dozen for $20.00 I enjoyed them! I thought was espresso martini was delicious. I got a cannoli which Beth mentioned she stuffed! The mascarpone was delish & so was the shell. I almost tasted a cinnamon coming from the shell. Powdered sugar is a nice touch too. My guest had chicken Milanese and a cannoli as well, she was raving and took her left overs to go. My guest also ordered white Zinfandel and they had rose so Beth brought her over a tasting glass to ensure she liked it. I had no leftovers as I ate everything. Beth was nice enough to take some pictures of my guest and I against the cute mural on the wall. Beth asked if we would like our checks separate or together without us having to ask. Thank you for having us(-:

As a Toronto tourist coming all the way to here, loving the atmosphere and dishes so much, the staff were cheerful and welcoming. The only thing that I feel kinda sad was the fish was too salty, I mean too much seasoning, which affects the overall taste. PS: the house bread service was excellent especially with the butter and the garlic olive oil.

Jacob our waitress was very nice and attentive! I had Short Rib Meatballs & Lasagna and they were both good would highly reccomend!

Google
A recommendation by Troy from Best Western, I had to try out this Italian restaurant. The staff were lovely and accomodating to my perhaps too-foreign self and tended to anything I needed. I had the gnocchi with beef, and it was absolutely one of the best gnocchis I’ve ever had, though I seldom have gnocchi, it was memorable enough for me to want to try it again!!

Google
Amazing food and service! We got the Penne Pink Vodka "Al's Way", Chicken Parmesean, Peanut Butter Pie, and a Cannoli. Generous portions and reasonable prices for absolutely delicious food! We will definitely be back!

Google
Chose this restaurant on a whim as we looked for parking on a cold, snowy day in Buffalo. Man oh man did we get lucky as this place had GREAT Italian food. On arrival, the host, a.k.a The owner, put 2 tables together to accommodate our party of 6. We sat and ordered garlic bread and they came with a roasted garlic and red pepper and olive butter. Really good. We also ordered a few drinks, The Sicilian Old Fashioned and a Chianti. Finally we ordered dinner (See pics) and everything was EXCEPTIONAL! My son had the Steak Giacobbi which was so darn flavorful that I was a little jealous I didn't order it. Overall great food, great service and cool atmosphere. This is a HIGHLY recommended restaurant when you are in Buffalo.

Google
Food was excellent, the drinks were great a little om the underpowered side but I like it that way! The pasta and appetizers were great, and the the portions are fair! I will definitely come again. *Note the bread is not complimentary, think staff accidently implied it was, had to clarify.

Yelp
Found this gem while visiting family in Buffalo! OMG wished I lived around the corner. I had the signature lasagna- a recipe over 100 years old. Met the fifth generation family member and sommelier. She was fantastic - trust her with your wine selection, she will not disappoint! BTW - Wednesday is 1/2 off wine bottles! Thank you for a perfect experience!

Yelp
We visited Friday evening shortly after they opened at 4:00. We opted for the restaurant Week special. We received three courses to share: charcuterie with Italian meat and cheese, linguine Alfredo with chicken, and two cannoli along with pumpkin cheesecake. The portions were generous. The food was all delicious. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. This was our first visit here, and we were impressed.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant a month ago during Restaurant Week. Shared the special with my husband. The charcuterie appetizer was outstanding...definitely enough for 2. One entree was shared which also was ample but would have liked to choose our own. Dessert was just the right size. Overall was very enjoyable...will definitely go back!!

Yelp
Cucina citta the ambiance very nice. I loved the art on the wall. The service was great, our waiter gave us recommendations. I ordered garlic with olive oil spaghetti on the side with chicken Marsala. Everything was delicious. We came at the right time because it wasn't too busy. Also our waitress was fantastic.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday meal this year. I had the Steak Giacobbi and got the Muddled blackberry bourbon cocktail for a drink. The steak was cooked to the perfect temp and the meal came with a side of spaghetti as well. My partner had the Tortellini ala Giacobbi which she enjoyed. I liked the steak meal and really enjoyed the cocktail, so I would definitely return to try other things on their menu. In terms of the service experience, we ate outside as the weather was nice enough for it and we had a great server who was pretty attentive despite covering tables inside and out.

Yelp
Since it was a pleasant evening on 29MAY2024 during my business trip, I wanted something within walking distance of the Residence Inn on Delaware and Giacobbi's had good reviews. I had the meatball appetizer, which was very good and reasonably priced at $5, but big enough I could have shared. The house side salad was good too! The tortellini ala Giacobbi with spinach and artichoke hearts was delicious! One of the other customers at the bar ordered the bread sampler. It looked delicious, but there was enough bread for 2 people and I didn't want to over indulge. Rachael was the bartender and she interacted with all of her customers and served us well. Thanks Rachael and Giacobbi's for a pleasant evening!

Yelp
Great service and nice place and location. Outdoor seating available and street parking. Food was just ok. Had a chicken special with spinach, sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese. Not a ton of flavor. Came with a side of pasta with marinara sauce. Sauce was very bland.

Yelp
Spectacular. Katia is hands down one of the best servers we ever had ANYWHERE. We had such a wonderful experience that a month later my 9yo is begging to go back so we can see her. The food just tastes better when the service is good. But hands down this was some of the better food we have had in the city as well. Most of our table of 6 cleaned their plates. We can't wait to get back.

Yelp
The food, the service, the wine - bravo! Started off with a Caesar salad and a family-owned canned Negroni. Loved the Negroni and will have to look for the van when I get back home. The meatball was everything - so tender! And the red sauce and crostini were fantastic! Main course was the frutti di mare - hot. It was perfect. My waitress made me feel special, and I was never wanting for attention. Excellent!

Yelp
Gooood italian food. Cuteee restauraunt, lovely and comforting vibes. Staff was super friendly, fun and attentive. We went at around 8pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. Food took a while to come out but nothing to complain about. Overall, worth a visit! The bread service (although an extra 7$) was awesome and very unique. They've got a great menu with a lot of selections, and really good wine. You'll definitely find something to order here. I'd visit again. Live love Allentown

Yelp
Stopped in for Restaurant week. . Sociable staff and clientele. Katia was adorable. Tim was excellent and Nicole was very busy and sweet. I started with a glass of chilled Orvieto it was crisp and tasty. I ordered the pasta fagiole soup it was very tasty a mix of flavorful broth with tomatoes beans greens and pasta. As my entree I enjoyed the shrimp papardelle a mixture of wide flat noodles tomatoes rapini greens and chunks of tender zucchini, yellow squash and mozzarella the shrimp were massive and fresh. Everything was prepared and tasted well. The dessert which is included was a limoncello cheesecake restaurant made and did not disappoint a citrusy thick slice of enjoym. This is a great establishment I will definitely return for more great food and drink.

Yelp
We got the chicken piccata and the balsamic chicken pizza. The food was well made but under seasoned, everything just felt like it needed more flavor. The drinks were really good though!! Great environment too, lowkey and ambient! Good to chat and drink with old movies playing on the screen. Our second drinks took some time to come out because the bartender was chatting with someone for a while, but it was alright! Would go back for casual drinks on Allen but maybe not for food

Yelp
Oustanding experience from beginning to end. Great location in hip section of Buffalo. Intimate setting but not loud as some restaurants tend to be. Attentive service from owner to wait staff. Perfectly tender calamari, wonderful Caesar salad, home-made breads and garlic knots to start. Oversized haddock, fried to perfection. Beans and greens along with pastas were delightful. Best French fries, EVER. Amazing cannolis and fruit to complete our wonderful experience. Bravo, Giacobbi's! We'll be back.

Yelp
Good, Service , food ambiance left a little to be desired Table from outside moved inside due to rain Tables are close and subject matter from that table was not suitable for a restaurant Will definitely be back though

Yelp
Great little spot. Awesome vibe and awesome waitress. Food was very average. Had the soup of the day- bean, sausage and rapini. This was good. For the entree I had another special- pasta with olive oil, garlic, rapini and burrata. It was lukewarm, with badly over cooked pasta and little flavor. There is a $7 bread charge, but the bread was stale. Daniela and Mulberry are much better choices.

Yelp
My daughter wanted Italian for our last night during our visit home to Buffalo. Specifically, she wanted good bread. After searching reviews, we decided on Giacobbi's I gave them a quick call to see if they had a kid's menu and was told they had options for kids and plenty of tables available. Parking: plenty available spots behind the restaurant (access from Delaware Ave.) The restaurant was quaint, with a small outside patio and inside seating was either high tops by the bar or regular seating as well. Our waitress Jenny was friendly and attentive. Kid's options were chicken fingers, small pizza, or pasta. Personally my kids (12 & 13) need a few more options but that's ok. We ordered the House Bread Service and it was amazing. We all loved every bite. Since the kid's options were limited, we ordered the Chicken Marsala and the Tenderloin (from their specials menu) to share. Both were great but the tenderloin was cooked perfectly as ordered and was delicious. The roasted potatoes were fantastic. Can't wait to visit the next time I'm "home" in Buffalo to try some of their pasta dishes.

Yelp
I recently tried the shrimp linguine at Giacobbi's Cúcina Citta, and it was very good. The shrimp, with its delightful seasoning and grill taste, tastes incredibly fresh-was a highlight. The pasta, coated in a creamy garlicky Alfredo sauce, was enjoyable but could benefit from a touch more salt or Parmesan cheese to enhance its flavor. Overall, a satisfying experience.

Yelp
Our server Jacob was a gem! Food is always phenomenal and the service is top notch. Thank you Giacobbi's!

Yelp
I realize how this is going to sound...but, I generally don't *love* the taste of American Italian food. I just get tired of those flavors easily, is all. But, in the mood for something out of our usual neighborhood rotation, we grabbed one of Giacobbi's takeout Dinner for Two specials. We chose the chicken parmesan from Nonna's Picks. It also includes a side of spaghetti, a chef salad w/housemade dressing and warm Italian bread...for $35. Pretty good value! The thing that stuck out most to me was how nicely they cooked the chicken breast cutlets; they were perfectly done and still moist and tender. Also, the chicken was very fresh and flavorful. We barely made it through half the food that came with our order, so it's more than enough for two people. Where we're from, you would have to specifically search out restaurants that serve portions this big; so, it's still a shock sometimes here in Buffalo...but that isn't a complaint! Everything was tasty and satisfying! Giacobbi's actually has 9 different choices for their Dinner for Two takeout specials...so we'll definitely be doing this again pretty soon. I'm eyeing the Tortellini Giacobbi for next time!

Yelp
Very impressed by this restaurant! Nice little hidden gem on Allen. Everything was amazing. All the meals, the drinks and dessert. The waitress was very nice and personable. I can't wait to go back and try another dish. The only drawback is Allen st parking but we saw something about a parking lot after the fact.

Yelp
The service was off the charts! The ambiance was nice and welcoming! The food took no time at all and the food was AMAZING. I got the chicken prosciutto sandwich. Out of my 41 years of being on planet earth, that was the best sandwich I have EVER had!! This place is a must in Buffalo, New York!

Yelp
We were so happy we made it here for dinner one of the nights we were in Buffalo. There were many people at the bar and in the restaurant when we walked in to get seated. The server said her Uncle would be with us in a minute. When the man arrived, we asked to sit outside and went to clear off a table that a couple had left just minutes ago. We sat outside, and the server came back to welcome us. She was very kind and brought us water while we perused the menu. There are so many options, and I was not following Keto, so I was in the mood for pasta. My hubby had a glass of white wine; it was a Chardonnay. I was also in the mood for red wine but wasn't sure which one to get, and the server recommended one for me, and I wish I remembered which was it was because it was excellent. I had two glasses. We learned the portions of pasta were large and could easily be shared, so we decided to get the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and the Penne Pink Vodka. They first brought us tongs with the large salad and share plates. The shrimp was perfectly grilled, and they were significant. There were massive pieces of shaved Parmesan on the salad, and they also brought us some more Parmesan with our pasta. Once we had finished our salad, our Penne Pink Vodka arrived. It was creamy and delicious. Everything about it was exactly as we had dreamed. We ate it all. When we are back in the Buffalo area and in the mood for Italian, then we will be back here.

Yelp
I've been to Giacobbi's many times and was so happy to find they are doing take out. Giacobbi's take out was a lifesaver today...I am especially appreciating the wine take out as well. Someone in my household was craving the Italian nachos and Giacobbi's went above and beyond. We got the nachos, and they were packaged for optimum deliciousness for our enjoyment at home. The pasta chips stayed nice and crisp and all the toppings were warm and melty. It was delicious! Also ordered was the linguine Alfredo with grilled chicken. It was creamy and delicious. Thank you, Giacobbi's, for delicious food!

Yelp
We had a wonderful meal here on Sunday, March 15. Little did we know, it would be our last time dining in a restaurant for a while! The food and service were phenomenal. We ordered diner salads, the bread plate, meatballs and the 'family style' serving of chicken Parmesan. The main course was served with four large pieces of chicken and side of spaghetti. The spaghetti is served with marinara, but I asked for a side of meat sauce because the sauce with the meatball was extraordinary! I also ordered the strawberry Moscow mule. Highly recommend! It was a regular vodka mule with muddled strawberries, so no artificial flavors or sweetened drinks. When life resumes to normal, I highly recommend dining here.

Yelp
Difficult to believe it's been a year since I was here last. Time really does fly when you're having fun. (Less fun, more time?) I'd been thinking about the Italian Nachos (memorable) for about three days, and decided on Tuesday that Wednesday was the day. But in these days of pandemic lockdown, the options were delivery or pick up. We picked up. Italian Nachos and Linguine Alfredo and a bottle of Montepulciano for daughter and her hub, Italian Nachos for me. Allen Street is under construction (still or again, depending on point of view), but parking was no problem. Plenty on Franklin, and a drive off of Delaware runs behind the storefronts on Allen. Easy-peasey and eager to please, Giacobbi's has really good Italian food and is centrally located for downtown. One of these days I'm going to give the Eggplant Parm another go.

Yelp
We called and made a reservation but still waited almost 15 minutes for the table to be ready. When we finally got to the table, the service was rough. Our server was working hard but there just wasn't enough staff there to cover the guests with excellent service. The food was good, not great but still tasty. Unfortunately the service made it a long meal in not a good way. One of our entrees was completely forgotten (whether by the server or the kitchen, I don't know) and brought almost after the rest of our group had finished their meals. When we received the check, the meal that was 20 minutes late was included on it. Our server did fix it and we were not charged but that was disappointing on the customer service side of things. I'm not from Buffalo but the food was tasty enough, I would give it another try if I was in Buffalo and craving Italian again.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way to Niagara Falls and I'm so glad we did! I'm salivating just looking at these photos again :) Everything was delicious! We had the bread basket for an appetizer. It was enough for four of us since we wanted to save room for our entrees. They were all healthy portions without leaving leftovers. The service was fabulous and attentive down to the water refills. My only suggestion is to do something about the air circulation and atmosphere in the back room. It was hot and stuffy, and we were surrounded by outdoor furniture. If you live in the area or are traveling through, I'd highly recommend trying this place!
google avatar

Erica J.

Yelp
The food was good. My husband had Seafood Arrviata. It's spaghetti with shrimp, scallops and mussels in a red sauce. He said it was delicious. I had Gnocchi in a red meat sauce, it was good just need a little more salt . We also ordered spinach and cheese bread and calamari for an appetizer. Both were good. The atmosphere is alright. The music that was playing in the restaurant was nice. The portion size was good. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant. We will come back if we visit the city again.
google avatar

Anisah C.

Yelp
Food: I ordered the spinach bread as an appetizer and found it to be amazing. It was fresh and it tasted great. I had a house salad and found it to be boring. The salad dressing was not enough, they overloaded it with croutons and not enough lettuce. It was a below average salad. However, I the gnocchi with marinara sauce and thought it was probably one of the best gnocchis I've ever had. I loved how they were bigger in size as most places give smaller pieces. It was fresh tasting and very filling. Service: the service was good but we were also the only table there. I did receive attitude from the waitress when asking questions about the menu and found that very rude and highly unprofessional. The prices were reasonable. The reason why this doesn't deserve five stars is due to the awful salad and rude waitress. However, the pasta was exceptional. I do plan on coming back.. hopefully with a better salad and waitress the next time!

Yelp
Giacobbi's is one of the few nicer restaurants on Allen Street. It is a large space, however I must admit I've only gotten take-out and eaten outside! The menu is fairly extensive. I've had a mix of salads and pastas from the menu, all of which have been excellent. I should certainly try other delicious-looking dishes they have to offer. The staff is very kind. They have a nice bar near the main entrance where you can sip on a drink while waiting for a table or takeout. During the summer months, they have many tables outside on the sidewalk - this section of Allen has recently renovated streets and sidewalks too. I plan on returning to Giacobbi's soon and will update my review then - promise!

Yelp
Overall a great experience would go back Gnocchi were by far the best part I am Italian and have had gnocchi at many different places; this might've been the best texture gnocchi I ever had 10/10 meat sauce 7/10 Seafood pasta 7.9/10 Clams 6.8/10 Service 9/10 Drinks 9/10 Drinks were also reasonably priced specialty cocktails were $10 each The one thing I was disappointed with is for an Italian restaurant their house Italian dressing was not that good, this was the only thing I would not get a second time Overall though it was a great experience and a great meal I would get 4.5 stars if possible... Almost gave it five and like I said I would definitely go back but it didn't quite wow me for five but very close
google avatar

Mele F.

Yelp
All five in our party really enjoyed our stop here. We all ordered different t dishes and really enjoyed them all. Lasagna was probably the fave. Other dishes we had were chicken Marsala, Baked rigatoni, tortellini a giacobbi,, and chicken Leonardo. We started with the calamari which wasn't cooked as long as we would like which left it chewier than we like. The menu also said it had olives that even when we checked with the waitress, we were told the menu was incorrect. The ambience was nice but we were seated at a window that had a TON of little dead bugs on the window sill. Thankfully i didn't see it till after we ate. Bottom line- enjoyed the meal and the locale but probably wouldn't go back if in town.

Yelp
I had heard quite good things about this restaurant so finally decided to give it a go. The ambiance is pretty casual. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The service was prompt. The food however was somewhat mediocre. *No bread service at an Italian restaurant!* They specialize in "family style" dining, and encourage people to share. Pretty much all the pasta and main dishes can be ordered family style or an individial portion. I ordered from the specials menu, manicotti with meatball. My friends got the Chiken Milanese and Shrimp with Paperdelle. *No bread service at an Italian restaurant!!* My dish was 2 crepes(manicotti) filled with a cheese mixture, topped with red sauce and a meatball. The sauce was flavorful and thank gawd, not sweet. The meatball was a bit tough, and lacked flavor. The manicotti itself was also disappointing. The filling was a bit chalky and didnt really have any flavor. My friends were happy with their meals. Maybe I should have ordered off the regular menu. And for one last time.... *No bread service!!!* There are so many good Italian restaurants in Buffalo, at every price point. Giacobbi does not deliver, in my opinion, at the price point they are operating on. At this point I am not inclined to return, but being that it is on Allen, one can never exclude a drunken stroll in, to sober up!

Janus C.

Yelp
Kind staff and everything is very solid. I always go basic and get the Chicken Parm when I'm here, but that's always just what I'm craving.

Yelp
Delicious Italian restaurant in a trendy neighborhood. A knowledgable waitress. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken pizza though the pizza is huge and feeds two hungry pizza lovers! The Bread Service appetizer tasted hot and fresh with two delicious sauces.

Yelp
Came here for the first time this past Saturday and had a great meal. We had no reservations, but the 3 of us were able to be seated with no issues immediately around 7pm. Service was fairly prompt and we got a nice cozy table in the back. Even with most tables full, the second room's noise level is very comfortable. The menu is laid out with single portions (which the waitress advised may be able to feed two) and family style which can feed four. I think her estimations were a little generous or for those without a huge appetite. While my wife may be able to portion one of the family style meals into four, I ate 3/4 of it in one sitting with no issues. For our meal, we shared a shortrib meatball ($7). This was incredible, although I wish the meatball was bigger for the price (especially because it was so incredible). It was simmered in a marinara broth with a ton of flavor. For our entrees, my wife and I shared the eggplant lasagna, while our friend ordered a cheese & green olive pizza. Our lasagna was delicious, although I did think the family style portion was a little small. She only ate 1/4 of it and I ate the rest. No left overs. I think they should adjust expectations and promote it as being able to feed two, but not 2-4, but that's just me. Took a star off for the upcharge for bread. Not a fan of "ordering bread," as customarily it's included, but hey -- I guess it's up to them. All in all, the food was excellent. The service was pretty good, although there were periods of time where water wasn't refilled, but I do drink quite a bit of water. I'd recommend this place to those looking for delicious Italian in Allentown.

Yelp
It was our first visit to Giacobbi's, and we had a great experience. We chose this restaurant because my husband wanted Italian food, and it was one of the higher rated restaurants that was open on a Monday. We started with their house made bread, which came with a garlic dipping sauce and a cheese spread both of which were great. My husband ordered the lasagna and myself a penne dish. Both meals were fantastic! We were also pleasantly surprised to find that there is a Monday wine special, so we were able to order a bottle of wine for $17. This restaurant is definitely worth visiting!
google avatar

Nicole C.

Yelp
This was my first time here. No complaints whatsoever! We sat at the bar and the service was great. It was hands down the best eggplant I've ever had! I'm Italian and I tend to steer away from Italian places because I can "always get that at home," but I'm really looking forward to coming back! The Italian nachos... so different and yet SO good - definitely a must try! The one thing I would recommend to the owner / chef is to rename the Stuffed Ribeye that was on special, because we really thought the cheese was stuffed INSIDE the meat, when it was layered on top. It did say it in the description but "stuffed" ribeye is really what caught our attention.

LaSashia C.

Yelp
GREAT FOOD!!!! Traveled with our basketball team and they accommodated us perfectly. Customer service was top tier and the food was absolutely magnificent! If I'm ever in Buffalo again, I will return.

Yelp
If you're craving Italian food and want a huge welcoming experience, come to Giacobbi's! Casual, local, creative, and delicious describes this place. No pretense or inflated prices here, only reasonable, consistent, real Italian hospitality every day and night. The owners bring their decades of experience and awesome cuisine from the former Carmine's on Transit Rd., and it's even better now, in my opinion. My personal favorite is the Chicken Piccata, a winner every time (and they even make it in a Family Size portion if you want to share it). Be sure you check out the specials when you go, especially the Artisan Pizzas. Last night was a pesto prosciutto with fresh mozzarella and fresh basil -YUM! And the Buffalo chicken is sooo good! Call them and get pizza delivered with a Caesar salad or any of their amazing entrees to go. You will not be disappointed. You choose: Brunch on Sunday with Mimosas & Bloody Mary Bar. The best, most reasonable lunch menu around. Pizza, dinner, drinks, and awesome bar any night. This place is where you gotta go in Allentown, in Buffalo for real Italian and the real local experience. ...in my opinion...

Yelp
Awesome restaurant. Huge portions. Food came out hot. Service was impeccable. I really liked this place. Great vibe. I had the spicy rigatoni. Loved it. Nice bit of heat. Mom had the caprese chicken (special menu item). Delicious. The calamari was super good too (and came on a nice bed of greens). Can't stress how great this place is.

Yelp
I'd be hard pressed to report any negatives about our great evening at Giacobbi's Cucina Citta. The service was absolutely spot on! The atmosphere, ditto. An interesting layout with nooks, spotless flooring, some pub height tables, some cozy romantic two-toppers, a winding bar separated slightly from diners...all this in a fairly smallish space but feeling wide open with windows on Allen Street if you are into watching the bustling passers by. We started with the Bruschetta Trio which was $8 -- Caponata, Ciliegine pesto & bruschetta tomatoes with grilled Italian bread & fresh grated Romano. I had no idea what those ingredients are but wowza! Super party-in-your-mouth. Everyone ordered something different from lasagna to tri-colored tortellini served in an Alfredo sauce with fresh spinach, prosciutto and artichoke hearts. Kudos to dear Nonna for her red meat sauce recipe! I seldom even eat meat but tried it anyway and thought it was delicious on spaghetti. One in our party ordered the Restaurant Week special for $20.18 choosing chicken parmigiana, salad and double-baked cheesecake which we each sampled. Again, yum. Drinks were all good, Italian beer, Pinot Grigio and a mixed drink. Salads -while a reasonable $3 add on- were fresh and not just anemic iceberg, rather greens, garbanzo beans, cucumbers, carrots, grape tomatoes and creamy Italian dressing on the side. Notably, the service was terrific, food too. We'll be back!

Yelp
This is a review for takeout pizza. The crust was barely done with minimal tomato sauce on the "create your own" pizza. The prosciutto pizza was definitely better but really tasted more like garlic bread with caramelized onions in the shape of a pizza. Take out took longer than projected. We'll find a different spot for pizza.

Yelp
First time visiting Giacobbi's on Allen on a whim on Wednesday night and I was very impressed. The restaurant's atmosphere made me feel relaxed and right at home. The staff was very friendly and although it was my first time there, they made it feel like it was my 10th time visiting. Also, the temperature inside was PERFECT. During the summer, most places have the air conditioning cranked all the way up, at Giacobbi's the temperature was perfectly comfortable to match the beautiful summer day outside. Moving on to the food, bread service at this restaurant is $3 and worth every penny. There was a variety of bread selections (see picture for more details) as well as a delicious olive spread and olive oil to top the bread with. How can you not have bread with a big Italian meal? Ordering the bread service is a must! For my entree, I got one of the specials which was a chicken and eggplant dish with peppers and onions baked underneath the cheese. On the side was spaghetti and spicy red sauce. For dessert, I decided with the strawberry limoncello tiramisu. I wasn't sure about this dish at first but I was so satisfied that I decided on this. I can't put into words how delicious this was. If you have a sweet tooth like me, you won't be disappointed by their dessert selection! The closest comparison to Giacobbi's is Michael's in Niagara Falls. It gave me the same homemade Italian food feeling! You can't go wrong with this place; the food is amazing, atmosphere is laid back, service is friendly, and the location is prime right in Allentown. 4.5/5 stars from me!

Yelp
Whether your looking for a cute date night place to go or top knotch Italian food.. I 110% recommended Giacobbi's Italian on 51 Allen! My bf Dan & I were planning on going to "Allen towns first Friday art walk" because we usually do, but this time I submitted one of my works into El Museo Art Gallery. I've heard rave reviews on the new Italian restaurant near by, so we decided to give Giacobbi's a try! It's the same owners as Carmine's that used to be on Transit FYI We were greeted promptly and told to sit where ever we would like. Once we sat down we were greeted by the waitress. Dan & I wanted to share a few items so we chose the veal/ sirloin meatballs with mushroom sauce and the steak, Asiago, spinach, tomato garlic pizza! The sirloin veal meatballs with mushroom sauce were probably the BEST meatballs I've ever had! I'm Italian and my dad would kill me for saying this. But these meatballs were full of flavor (3 good sized ones came in the dish) with two pieces of crostini bread, sliced portobello mushroom, and that mushroom sauce. It wasn't even red. I don't know how they made it but it was To. Die. For. When the meatballs were done the waitress came by to refill our waters (Awesome service) and I reminded her not to take the plate and she said she knew because I mentioned how much I enjoyed this special mushroom sauce! I had a plan for the remaining sauce... do a lil dip "action" with the fabulous looking fresh pizza! Ha I knew the pizza was going to be good because of the meatballs and the way it looked. But WOW my tastebuds exploded with joy. You could tell the dough was high quality homemade and the lite garlic sauce paired well with the Asiago, parm blend, spinach, freshly sliced tomatoes, sirloin steak! I usually leave the crust but it was so tasty I had to eat it also and dip it in the mushroom meatball sauce that was left over. We were 110% satisfied and could tell Giacobbi's uses high quality, fresh ingredients. I knew it was going to be good but my first visit here blew my expectations. If it's a warmer day the pizza and meatballs is a great option to share. I asked if they have happy hr and the waitress said they will soon have happy hr specials and serve lunch. The kitchen is getting used to everything first. Well a little note to the kitchen staff, "A +++ on the food and presentation"! Dan and I can't wait to return sometime soon to this Italian gem in the heart of Allen town! Giacobbi's will not disappoint, I promise!

Yelp
My friends & I had a wonderful time at Giacobbi's last night. The food was tasty & our server Jaime, was fantastic! We are a lively bunch & she was a great sport when it came to taking care of us. She was able to accommodate all of our needs & checked on us several times throughout the meal. I had the chicken piccata which was very good. There was nothing left on the plate by the end of the meal. It was very nice getting out & having a nice dine in restaurant experience during these COVID conscious times. Will be going back soon!

Yelp
Came in for dinner and drinks with some coworkers, always wanted to give this place a try. We got in easily before the dinner crowd so it was really my group(4 of us) and like 2-3 other groups in the restaurant. We got seated right away and our waiter came over to ask if we needed any drinks. I inquired about the happy hour deals and he stated is only at the bar. So I asked if we could step to the bar and purchase a drink and bring it back to the table (because we really did not want to pay full price when the restaurant is empty and no one was at the bar and is happy hour time). My simple inquiry pissed him off I guess (unprofessional to say the least), because he brushed it off, came back and said "if you really feel the need to do that then go ahead" Needless to say I was turned off by it, and I ordered a glass of wine at the table. We got a bread basket as starters and the bread was great, fresh out of the oven, very tasty. I ordered the Prosciutto pizza, it was pretty good, it had roasted garlic sauce instead of regular tomato sauce and I quite enjoyed that. It tasted even better the next day for lunch. Overall I loved the food, the wine could be better, and atmosphere was great and the waiter just needs to have a little more patience with new customers.
