I was passing through Wayland last Sunday and noticed that there was a Giacomo in the area.. Having fond memories and many a good meal at the former Giacomo's around the corner from me in the South End, I thought I'd stop by try this new location and enjoy some of my old time favorite entrees... WOW ! This location nailed it! Just like I remembered it from back in the day! The tenderloin was tasty and cooked to perfection . My friend had the shrimp and lobster 🦞 with fresh fuscilii. Outstanding!! Oh...and this spot has amazing pizza too! Definitely coming back! Quality value service all there! Thanks for a great meal!

My friend and I had a lovely dinner on Sunday, June 30th. Not knowing the menu and the portion sizes, we managed to order charcuterie, burrata and tomatoe salad and bruschetta for appetizers. Burrata was to die for, fresh and creamy; the charcuterie was delicious too! We didn’t touch bruschetta because we realized we wouldn’t be able to eat the main courses. So it’s still in the fridge, waiting for dinner time. We ordered chicken piccata and shrimps and scallops over linguini in a white sauce for main. Chicken piccata wasn’t very traditional, with may chicken pieces, but very tasty. The shrimps and scallops with linguini was amazing also. The service was outstanding! Many thanks to our server - Mary, for such a pleasant experience. We’ll be back, for sure! And we can’t wait to try other delicious options on your menu.

We did a take out for the first time and to my suprise the Veggie Pizza was so soggy with the sauce. Anything we customize dont seem to fit well here. I have dine in person and ordered pizza right off menu which was great so not sure what happened with take out was quite disappointing

We decided to dine in on a Friday night right after 4th of July. It was surprisingly empty for a Friday night. I guess everyone was away for the 4th of July weekend. Im Canadian and googled best Italian food in Boston. Giacomo’s came up as top 10 in AMERICA!! 😮 We ordered calamari. 6 out of 5 stars! Amazing. The calamari was fresh, the batter coated the calamari perfectly and we ordered the large portion. It was huge! We ordered the garlic bread which I felt could have been more garlicky. The meatballs with bucatini was good. The meatballs were great! So well flavoured and moist. We ordered a large pizza and when they say large, they mean SUPER SIZED! It was absolutely humongous. I enjoyed the pizza and our server told us the caramelized onions were a must. I agree! The sausage addition was a bit salty. The butternut squash ravioli were good but more sweet than I wanted. I felt like it needed some saltiness to balance out the flavours. Overall, it was a tasty italian experience in Boston and our server was the loveliest person ever.

Excellent meals with our friends. Food was delicious. Staff could not be more accommodating. Beautiful place. I usually order the basic pasta and meatballs-so good. Looking forward to going back!

This place is ok. A lot of Italian places can’t separate themselves from the pack of Italian places and this place just falls into the pack. Rule #1 - if you have Papa Gino’s sprinkle cheese containers, just open up a Chinese food restaurant. Ha

Saturday night dinner at Giacomo's for my teenage son's birthday. Went specifically for their zuppa di pesce, one of his favorites. Called ahead to for a reservation, which I recommend, especially on a Saturday night. We were greeted warmly and seated fairly quickly. The dining room consists of several booths around the perimeter, tables for 2 or 4 closely spaced in the middle and a bar with several seats in a corner. Despite the open kitchen, the noise level is reasonable.... We could converse easily without shouting. Our server, Kerry (sp?), was warm, quick and efficient. She was friendly and professional. We had fried calamari as an appetizer. Perfectly, hot, crisp and tender. As an entree, we ordered a zuppa di pesce, scampi style, for 3. This enormous pasta masterpiece is the only entree I've ever eaten at Giacomo's (this was my 5th time). It's THAT good! Linguine with a whole lobster, shrimp, scallops, calamari, clams (in shell), and mussels (in shell) in a scampi broth. Photo below.) You pay market price ($72 today), but it was worth it, especially since we took enough leftovers home for another 3 servings. Absolutely deliciously decadent!
