"Opulence is key at this Italian hotspot housed in the home of the late designer Gianni Versace. This destination is like no other from the grand entrance, multiple statues, iconic courtyard, and jaw-dropping swimming pool with 24-karat gold and marble tiles. Signature items include Dover sole Meunier, Gianni’s spaghetti pomodoro, and T-bone porterhouse." - Alona Martinez
"Housed inside the Villa Casa Casuarina, the former home of the late fashion designer Gianni Versace, dining in the expansive courtyard of this Italian restaurant includes enjoying dishes like Gianni’s spaghetti pomodoro and mushroom risotto while marveling at the ornate gold-lined mosaic pool that serves as the restaurant’s centerpiece." - Alona Martinez
"Two main thoughts will occur to you while you’re at Gianni's on Ocean Drive. The first, How cool is it to be walking around the old Versace Mansion, retracing the steps of Gianni Versace himself? And then, How much cooler would it be if this restaurant was actually good? Although it’s aesthetically fascinating and located inside one of the most interesting historic buildings in South Beach, Gianni's is sadly just another Ocean Drive restaurant that exists for tourists. The food is overpriced, and about the same quality one would expect at a boring wedding reception. It’s still neat to come here, sit poolside, and pretend you’re a Versace for the night—but it’s hard to imagine Gianni himself would approve of the aggressively average pasta, steak, and seafood being served on the menu that bears his name." - Ryan Pfeffer
