This is one of the best pizzas I have had, extremely flavorful. Amazing crunchy crust that is also nice and airy inside, very addicting. The management here also work hard to ensure every guest is happy. I would highly recommend because their pizza is special. Extra props to the owner for being an extremely caring and cool individual. Not alot of places match this level of sincerity.

Great gluten free crust, good pizza everytime I've eaten from there. Not celiac, but sensitive, haven't had any reactions. Love this place. Quirky local type place with good food.

Hands down one of the best pizza places I've tried. The crust was perfectly crispy. Toppings were plentiful and well distributed. Definitely going back. Waitress and chef were super friendly and helpful. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

The first time here, you guys have to come and taste the pizza it was great. It took longer than expected to get my beer, but it was good food chesse bread are good and friendly staff. Definitely recommend this location.

Delicious and authentic Italian food, as always! Creative flavor combinations and satisfying servings with relaxing ambiance make this a favorite spot. Full vegan menu AND full regular menu, with plenty of gluten-free options. :) I cannot stress enough what a relief it is to have a full vegan menu and not have to worry about checking every single ingredient for every menu item. THANK YOU! Too hard to pick a favorite vegan pizza (they're always adding to the extensive menu!) but their vegan sausage calzone makes me forget I'm vegan. And any menu item that has their vegan ricotta (which I think is made in house!) is VERY good. Vegan or not, you won't be disappointed here.

I came here for my first time yesterday. Ordered a vegan sandwich and a Hawaiian pizza. The sandwich and pizza were both great. The sauce on the pizza was really flavorful. You can order pizza by the slice or order full pizzas. The store itself is a bit small, but it’s quaint and has outdoor seating as well. They also serve a range of beers, a lot of vegan options, and even Italian dinners. A versatile and interesting menu full of quirky and inventive surprises — you can tell the owner is putting in a big effort. I recommend stopping by if you’ve got a pizza hankering, or giving the vegan menu a go if you’re so inclined. Thanks, Gianni’s!

Today was my second time here, and it was outstanding as usual. The employees were so welcoming. They treated me and my mom like friends. And if your are vegan...THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. literally da bomb. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been going to Gianni's Pizza for years and I'm so glad that they have built a wide variety of vegan options. All my plant based peeps need to know about it and try at least once. They are located off the 78 in an unassuming strip mall of stores. Highly suggest you Bookmark and check them out! Since I heard that there were new vegan shrimp menu items and I had to try. I was pleasantly surprised that the vegan shrimp is not gummy like others I've had, the pizza and the scampi had great flavors left me wanting more! Pizza crust is on the thin side so it won't keep up with the heavy toppings. My carnivore boyfriend also found the flavors and textures to be delicious, we ordered a medium pizza and we had some leftovers. Prompt service depends on who's working, but ordering ahead and picking up works well for me!

This pizza place was a breath of fresh air! Finding vegan pizza can be difficult but finding a plethora of choices, speciality pizzas and toppings to choose from is a needle in a haystack. Not only was their variety but it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The Penelope Pepperoni was spicy and so cheesy. The worst thing about Giannis is how far it is from my home!!!! We will be back to Oceanside soon and this will be an absolute necessity. Other notes: cashier and cooks were super friendly and definitely no complaints about service.

I usually don't complain unless I'm really disappointed. This is that occasion. We Ordered 1 Hawaiian and one Pepperoni the order was inaccurate , burnt to a crisp and cold on delivery. The order and the fact it was practically inedible I fault giannis.The fact it was D.O.A I fault DoorDash . I understand there are staff shortages , equipment malfunctions and other things that happen , but this was the worst experience I've had to date with either . The Service and quality are usually top notch and we've been happy customers over the years, and understand that everybody has a bad day or 2 or even 3. I will try again another time and hopefully the order is accurate and we get pepperoni instead of burnt cheese and that the driver doesn't get too close to Mt. Kilauea with our next Hawaiian. I was really wanting pizza tonight too

Just moved here for college and have been lucky enough to frequent this place for lunch. Gianni's is an absolute gem. Glen is so kind and friendly, as are the girls at the counter. Prices are great, you can get two slices and a drink for under $10. Bottles of beer are under $5 and pepper/cheese is free. Best of all, the pizza is AMAZING. Comparable to what you have in Europe, this place is a must try. I take all my buddies here when looking for a quick bite.

I regularly order from Gianni's as they're located around the corner and it comes fast when ordered through GrubHub. For the price, it can't be beat. Only $8 for a mini sized pizza which is perfect for just me. My go to is a mini pizza with extra cheese and a small Caesar salad. The salad dressing is good, nice and tangy and the croutons are perfectly crunchy. They also have a decadent limoncello cake that is creamy and delicious. For around $20, Gianni's is a great option. I can't say much about the restaurant as I always order delivery but the service is quick.

So I'm sitting here chowing down my pasta, finding myself so shocked and disappointed that the average rating is 3.5 stars. I had to come and defend Gianni's. Have you been here?! This place is amazing. First off, if you're looking for Domino's style pizza, this may not be what you're looking for. But, if you're looking for a place run by a caring owner who has really put his heart and soul into every menu item--caring so much that he literally flew his staff to Italy to train and make *authentic* pies--this place is for you. Its modest, hole-in-the-wall vibes playfully pay an homage to the Grateful Dead through the dancing bears and art on the wall. There's a tiny but mighty selection of good beers, too. One thing they pride themselves on is vegan-friendly options, and they truly excel here. Their meat options are just as great, and let me say their gluten-free crust is literally unmatched (not dead, lifeless, or crumbling the way many are). And you don't have to feel bad about having dietary restrictions or allergies! They are so flexible and will work with you. *chef's kiss* They use clean ingredients--i want to say they're mostly, if not totally, organic, too. Trust me, the quality and attention to detail really shines through in the flavor combinations and precision when cooking. They'll try funky flavor combinations and even have a whole section of the menu dedicated to the not-so-mainstream options. I've tried a good handful of menu items but a few favorites: -getting figgy with it (pizza) -naked hippie pasta with meatballs (the vegan meatballs are amazing too!) -my husband is a really big fan of their calzones, too. TLDR; if you're looking for a cozy local hole-in-the-wall spot that uses fresh ingredients, is gluten and vegan-friendly but also fine for meat-eaters (and really, just pizza-lovers in general) try this place. You really won't be disappointed!

I got a vegan cheese pepperoni pizza and it was so salty I could barely eat it, let alone enjoy it. I've ordered this before and it was fine, I don't know what they did differently this time to make it unbearably salty. My garlic bread was microwaved which made it like rubber to try and chew. I don't know where the garlic was because I didn't taste any. The vegan mac-n-cheese was super dry. Waste of money. I won't order from here again.

Amazing clean and healthy food. That's not corporate. Some of the reviews of this place are so far off. If you eat garbage fast food maybe this isn't for you. Although if you want the goods this is the place.

This is my (first time) in placing my online order for Gianni's Pizza on the Door Dash App on my Apple IPhone XR for my lunch time meal. I always enjoy trying out new restaurants that I have never eaten at before and also when I order on the Door Dash App for new places because I enjoy eating a variety of different kinds of cuisines. I was browsing the Gianni's Pizza Menu and I wanted to try their Calzones to go along with a Caesar Salad and I also I love eating desserts. I ordered two different kinds of desserts today. My order is as follows: One Froman Pesto Calzone these ingredients includes: (spicy sausage pieces, mozzarella cheese, sliced mushrooms, onions, and spinach with marinara sauce) that is filled in a calzone. The price is $11.99. I also ordered a Caesar Salad it includes the Caesar Dressing. This Caesar Salad has ice berg lettuce, crunchy croutons, and slivers of parmesan cheese that comes with a creamy Caesar Dressing a separate container. The price is $9.99. I ordered a large size Caesar Salad. This One Froman Pesto Calzone was a big size and still warm when I received it from Liz so I didn't need to heat it up in my microwave oven. I placed these food items on separate plates. I only could eat half of this one Froman Pesto Calzone because I am a small eater. This Calzone did not come with a dipping sauce from this Gianni's Pizza Restaurant. I was eating this Froman Pesto Calzone for my lunch meal. This Calzone was very hearty and also it tasted very good with this (spicy sausage pieces, the sliced marinated mushrooms, melted mozzarella cheese and the sautéed spinach) that was filled inside this calzone. The dough of this calzone was crispy and very delicious. It was my first time eating a Froman Pesto Calzone. Then I also was eating the large size Caesar Salad with the dressing. I was only again able to eat half of this salad. It was very healthy and very flavorful. This Caesar Salad paired really good with my calzone. For my side order I selected the One Cheese Garlic Bread. The price is $2.50. The Cheese Garlic Bread is toasted in an oven and it is spread with melted cheese and another garlic sliced bread is placed together and it looks like a cheese sandwich on a submarine roll. My desserts which I have chosen today were the 2 Brownies. The price is $2.00 each and I ordered 2 quantity so the total was $4.00. I had eaten one brownie, it was very moist with the yummy chocolate flavor. I saved my second brownie to eat at a later date. Then my final dessert order was the one slice of the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake. The price is $4.89. This is a generous piece of cake that is layered between the Limoncello Mascarpone filling and it has 3 layers of cake which is very moist and really delicious. My subtotal was $33.37. The delivery fee was originally $7.49 but since I spent the minimum amount of $12.00 then my delivery fee was no charge to me. The service fee was $6.34 but was reduced down to only $3.00. The estimated tax was $2.20. The dasher tip I had chosen for Liz my dasher delivery driver was $8.00. I accepted this expensive tip for Liz since my order is an expensive Door Dash Order today. My total bill was $39.90. This amount was charged to my visa credit card account. I received my Door Dash delivery order earlier about 10 minutes sooner than I had expected. My Gianni's Pizza Order was dropped off to me at 1:24 p. m. It didn't take very long for this Gianni's Pizza Restaurant to prepare and to bake my Froman Pesto Calzone and then I received a text message from the Door Dash Company that told me my Dasher driver her name is Liz is heading to the Gianni's Pizza Restaurant to pick up my order. And Door Dash will text message me and let me know when Liz will be heading to me to deliver my order to my home address. It had taken Liz about 15 minutes to drive over to this Gianni's Pizza Restaurant to pick up my order and then Liz drove over to my home to drop off my order to me. Liz knocked on the front door then I opened up my front door and Liz said hi and then she handed me my order This Froman Pesto Calzone was in a Hot Box and the other order was in a large brown paper bag. Liz was very friendly to me then she left my house. Everything I had eaten today for my lunch time meal was very delicious and I was very impressed with it being my first time ordering from this Gianni's Pizza Restaurant. Their desserts the chocolate brownies was very moist and this chocolate flavor was not too sweet. The Limoncello Mascarpone Cake has real Mascarpone filling layered in between this really moist cake and it has a really light and really delicious flavored frosting and filling. I really enjoyed eating this Limoncello Mascarpone Cake today for my dessert. I called and spoke to their manager after I ate everything this afternoon. This manager said their Limoncello Mascarpone Cake is their most popular dessert and so is their brownies. Their desserts are made from a specialty bakery.

Amazing food great customer service I'm not vegan but damn this is amazing I had to double check if it was vegan that's how good it was definitely coming back so happy to have found this gem in a sea of over used fast food world each bite brings so much flavor and it's healthy and you wouldn't even know the difference.

Best local vegan pizza! So glad we discovered this place! We have ordered from here I'd say a good 6x or so. They have lots of vegan options, we tend to order the same ones with the intent to order different ones but most of the time we get the same stuff (it's just so good). They also sell pasta and sandwiches. They do have a delicious vegan salad here which is phenomenal! If you're vegan, or curious about vegan pizza, look no further! Thank you Gianni's!!!

Best pizza I've had in north county. New York style. The sauce is delicious and toppings are quality. I stopped in before heading into Home Depot and am so glad I did. Place was busy but my slices came out in 60 seconds. You gotta try it you'll love it!

Gianni's is mine and my husband's favorite pizza place. Their food is ALWAYS good and they have so many vegan options to choose from. The gluten free crust isn't my go-to but I have tried it and it tastes exactly the same as the regular crust in my opinion and when my parents were in town my mom who has celiac disease tried the GF pizza and was amazed. She hasn't tried a gluten free pizza this good in many years. The reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's not the cleanest restaurant. The vibes are great though, it really feels like that cute small business that has a personality. It's just the wood tables feel like they have years of grime caked on them and I once had a smooshed dead spider on the inside of my cup which I didn't realize was there until I was about 1/3 of the way through my drink (they poured it out and gave me a new glass). I'm not really opposed to this level of uncleanliness which is why I'll keep going back time and time again, it's just something the business could keep in mind.

Stopped in for a brunch slice of pizza. Great pizza and you can get it by the slice, nice atmosphere, I sat on the patio, and fair prices. I'll definitely come back for more.

It's tough to find vegan pizza without having to order it without cheese or something weird like that. Not only does this place have vegan options, they have a ton of them! There are also vegan pastas and salads and sandwiches on their menu too. On top of just having vegan options, they actually taste great too! I actually was really impressed by their pizza crust. I don't know anything about their cooking techniques, but it tasted like someone who actually cared about the flavor of the dough made it. Way better than the dough at most pizza places, IMHO. My only critique would be that they always roll their pizza dough so flat in the middle that it is too thin to pick up a slice of pizza. When you try, half the toppings fall off. The crust is nice and thick, but the middle of the pizza is just too thin, necessitating a fork and knife to eat it, or you'll just have to deal with really messy hands, your choice. I've never tried their non-vegan options, so can't vouch for those, but this place is awesome for vegans! So far my favorite pizza is the Nacho Pizza.

The best vegan pizza I've ever had! Or should I say the best pizza I've ever had! This place was amazing and has tons of vegans options. Definitely a hole in the wall but when you walk in there's tons to look at, they even have beer on tap. The pizza was incredible, I had the bbq chicken pizza made vegan and it was better than regular chicken pizza! The flavor was outstanding, the vegan ranch was so delicious and the crust was perfectly seasoned. I didn't get any pics because we ate it so fast. I can not wait to come back and try more. Even if you're not vegan give this place a try, you can't even tell the difference! So good!

Had a lunch date with my hubby and we will definitely be going back and taking the kids. We got a vegan pizza but substituted the meats for actual meat (we can't have dairy and the vegan pizzas had some seriously tasty options) and the Jughead sandwich on sourdough with no cheeses. I love sandwiches, like, really love them. This was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Bread was delicious and was packed with meats and veggies. The pizza so so soooo good! The vegan cheese is some of the best I've ever tasted, loaded with yummy toppings, and the dough was so flavorful and the texture was perfect. Sweet and friendly staff, didn't have to wait long, and greatly enjoyed the music.

I would give 0 stars of i could. Bad customer service, took soooo long, wayyy overpriced and be prepared to be disappointed with the size. The box can be large, but the pizza is less than medium. Will never waste my money and time there. He kept saying they were so busy, but a sole there, and they in the 50 min i was waiting there were only 2 door dash deliveries. Nothing busy about this place.

Ran across this place while in the shopping center. My son and I each got the sandwich special, and loved it. We went back the next day (because you always return to the scene of a crime) and it was still amazing! It's our new Italian sandwich place. We have not tried the pizza yet and hope it can hold up to our strict guidelines! I will update the review!

THE best vegan, gluten free pizza! Sometimes I can't believe it's gluten free. We've had every vegan pizza on the menu, the Sugar Magnolia is our favorite, but they've all been great. Wonderful owner and employees too!

Love this place. Was vacationing in Italy for 10 days and had local pizza everyday. Was missing "Italian pizza". Ran into a man from Long Island and he recommended this place. Pizza here is great.

Looks like the place got a makeover, but still has the same cool charm. Popped in to try a gluten free pizza with pepperoni, black olives, mushrooms and ohartichoke hearts. The service was quick and small wait times was pleasant. I really enjoy Gianni's salads and pizza, and this gluten free rocks

Found an awesome hole in the wall you gotta try for slices and sandwiches! Giannis has awesome pizza, lots of vegan, gluten free, and low sugar options! Kelly, the person who waited on me, is a vegan who is now gluten free, so she was answering my twenty questions with empathy. I'm always on the hunt for a place nearby to feed my family and friends on restricted diets, so I appreciated her conscientious responses. Very small, clean looking, simple menu eatery with delicious crust that is made the old fashioned way. Yummy croutons on the salad. Those were a nice touch, and made in house out of their fresh ciabatta. I left with a menu and intent to return. For those on a tight budget their lunch special can't be beat-- slice, drink, salad for 7 ish dollars. Limited seating, local beer on tap.

I'm still disappointed this place isn't open on Mondays. We'd bring them a ton of monthly business if they were, however, I am once in a while able to get here (three times now with small groups), and I've been happy with the vegan menu, so far. I LOVE the calzones I've tried, but was not impressed with the chicken pickle sandwich. Seems like the cheese didn't meld well with the other flavors involved. There are plenty of other things to try, so no biggie. I wish they offered vegan pizza by the slice, but I understand why they don't. We'll be coming here again.

We are so impressed with the vegan options. Every one of the pizzas we have tried has bn incredibly good. We are going to attempt work our way thru all of them. The vegan salad with balsamic dressing was not as tasty and I'm not sure why but I probably will not order it again. Looking forward to our next visit which will include the vegan calzones alongside the pizza. Ravioli was pretty good too. Most of the food was delicious and I truly appreciate and the vegan options.

Looks can be VERY deceiving is what I can say about this place. Do yourself a favor and get pizza at Costco, or better yet, get yourself a frozen pizza and bake it at home. The pizza is just awful. I had a personal pan pizza and my husband had the pizza-by-the-slice and we both felt like we were eating cardboard with an itty bitty amount of sauce and a light layer of cheese. You'd think the toppings would make up for it but no. We were given an estimated amount of time to receive our pizza in 15 minutes but we got it in 30. And normally, I am patient enough to wait on quality food but like I said, we were better off buying a frozen pizza and baking it at home. Regrettably, we spent $11 on our pizzas and we should have bought a whole pizza at Costco for that price.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE coming here (or ordering if for delivery) pizza from here. It's so delicious and never burnt. Most places that offer vegan pizza more than often burn the crust because they can't get the "cheese" to melt correctly. But with Gianni's it's always a win.

Tucked into a shopping center near home depot, you'll find a hidden gem called Gianni's. It was quiet, calm and perfect. The blt was honestly delightful. My hubby got the pepperoni pizza slice deal and he said it was great. It was one dude working so you might have to wait, but honestly it was worth it and like they say "good things take time". So be patient and give it a try if you're up for something that might surprise you and is made fresh #support local

Bad pizza and service was worse. From NYC, have been eating pizza for decades. They Burned the cheese on one pizza and the burned the crust on another. Returned the following day with photos and was told "We make our pizzas crispy." Just pathetic.

Small business and "hole in the wall" type of Italian pizzeria!!! One of my favorite go to places are always the small, no one would notice it, and "I wish I knew this sooner" type of restaurants!! Not only have they been here for 30 years, but the owner also served me!!! Full menu plus vegan menu!! You cannot go wrong!! Super pumped for this place! It'll definitely be one of my go to's from now on!!

This Pizza place is the best in town by far!!! Their pizza is amazing (so many awesome vegan options we have yet to try them all). The vegan meatball is AMAZING!!!! Any by the way they have the freshest Fat Tire on tap we have ever had other than the brewery, not sure how they do it but do yourself a flavor and make sure you stop in for some amazing food!!! The staff is beautiful and so sweet. They have great customer service. The food blew me away! All fresh ingredients and locally sourced and you can taste the love that goes into the food. I highly recommend this place.

Legit dough!!! Owner makes everything fresh daily. Got there when ciabatta was being pulled out and ordered a fresh sandwich. Ingredients are high quality. I can tell owner takes pride in his craft. Got a pizza to go as well for family dinner. Pizza is NY style. Crunchy crust, tangy sauce and real mootz. Reminder me of growing up on east coast. Did I mention prices are like 1990's. Just goes to show you that owner is putting quality over profit. More restaurants should follow his lead.

This place is horrible. Customer service is terrible. Theres college girls working here drinking on the job and the products they sell are terrible. Do yourself a favor and go to Cusimanos down the street. I will never be back and I want my money back. Calzones are supposed to be packed with cheese and there was zero cheese. The pizza felt like they heated up an old pizza and also didn't barely put any cheese there. Products looked way better on the photos. Don't go here

I noticed the "Pizza" sign after leaving Home Depot and decided to stop in for a slice. I am so glad I did. I loved the very light crispy crust, sauce was great and somehow the crust was crispy but soft on the inside. I will be back to try their sandwiches on their home made ciabatta bread that looked and smelled amazing! SO glad I found this little gem!

This spot is great! No need to say extra cheese because they are generous with it. Also a great place for cheap drafts and lunch specials. My wife says their vegetarian stuff is good but I just like the thin crust and plenty of cheese. Quick good service. Thanks glen and Sam!
