Google
Great supermarket to shop in. I like how almost all Giant stores have a similar layout so you basically know where everything is located. Looked like they did a recent upgrade and it has a clean, efficient design that makes shopping easy. I did self checkout but the staff person there was very helpful.

We made a purchase for -almost 600 dollars at the store meanwhile my wife ate three cherries out of the bag. Employee by name is Julian made a big scene could of being done completely different without making a huge deal out of it. We bought whole bag just to satisfy the employee. I think kid should learn how to deal with people bc its one of those cases where employee went overboard by making a scene at the register instead of just talk to us but i guess culture and education is not in his vocabulary.

Google
This Giant is useless. I've been shopping here for 5 years and they decide to take out the Starbucks. Great. Then they decide to take out the pharmacy and all the pharmacy related items, like makeup. Oh and the closest Rite Aide is gone so I get to sit in traffic. What did they replace the Starbucks and pharmacy with? Kids toys! Because a grocery store is the exact place for those items!

Google
Very big variety of this giant really like it. every time I go to this giant everything's always fresh the produce meat. Seafood bakery

Google
I was able to go to the bakery within the last hour, and they were able to make a cake for me. It was really hard to find masculine cakes. I was trying to get a cake ready for a adult male's birthday party and I wanted to make sure that I got the correct writing at the last minute. They were able to get a sheet cake that was chocolate and label it properly for an event later tonight. 😀

Google
This was hard to find. It's behind the tj max. It was weirdly placed tout of sight. 2 parking lots. Small store but it works. It's a gorgeous drive to get to it from mall Blvd. Def recommend setting google maps from Mall Blvd to this location and enjoy the awesome scenery. The houses are stunning the roads are wicked and windey. Just real cool

The giant grocery store located at Saint David has the worst staff after 5 PM until closing and Absolutely, each of them should be retrained on Customer service, the lack of professionalism, and they’re overall poor attitude that is exemplified in their performance and interaction with all customers. I am disgusted after trying to use the app for the first time and the bleach, blonde, with the snotty attitude that I was an absolute bother to her yet would offer no support, guidance, or help with the giant app. Her exact comment was., “ I don’t even know how to use the giant app”. WOW! Sarcasm, passive-aggressiveness treatment of customers spoke volumes of the culture that must come from the top up. The saying is the fish stinks from the head up, so I’d say this is a reflection of poor management, lack of leadership, acceptance of rudeness and aggressive nasty comments to get out of the store. “ We are closed “ . I could get out quicker if you were there to be helpful yet. It was too much fun to sit back with her a few other employees and then a very nasty African-American woman who sadly presented as the possible manager, but who knows everyone’s behavior was despicable and reflected Horrifically and giant as a corporation and an organization who they should take a look at their mission statement. My guess is they probably don’t even know where that is or what that word even means as they don’t demonstrate those actions anytime I’ve gone into the store. I have gone in there. I would say 15 times over the last 10 months is to see that the data was not just an off occurrence, clearly it is far from that. It was a disaster zone in there, hazardous, and the town of Villanova should take a look at what customers are walking around with cables and electricity and exposed wiring besides the horrific unexpectable lack of professionalism. We were trying to check out, asked for help about the app and they grabbed our groceries and started scanning them and we had to replack everything. All they said was the store is closing.5 employees standing there watching this. Not one of them was kind or helpful. The only nice person was a gentleman who let us out the locked door. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. We will NEVER go there again. We plan to speak to corporate and the health department as well.

Yelp
Other than being unable to see the store from the highway ,this store has an exceptional staff ..Alex and his A-TEAM were more than helpful and courteous to help me..in particular a young man named Stephen had a fantastic solution to the problem in which I was dealing with..thank you Stephen and Nate..

Yelp
I changed from my previous review to a better one after a really positive experience... my car battery wouldn't start, I saw a manager out front of the store and thought I'd ask if anyone had a jump, fortunately they put out the word and within a short time someone came out and helped with my vehicle. Kudos to the helpful staff who went above and beyond.

Yelp
Giant sucks, period. When you go on their website, to make a suggestion, this is what you are presented with: Chat with us Report an issue Online order & account Questions In-Store, Rewards & Offer Questions Call Us I don't want to do any of those things. I want to send an email to customer service, because Giant customer service sucks, but apparently Giant is aware of this, and thus, eliminated emailing customer service as an option.

Mitchell K.

Yelp
GREAT SERVICE. They have all that I have ever needed. One man in particular seems to always have advice that has never failed me.

Yelp
This place hasn't changed much since it became Giant maybe 5 years ago (it used to be Genuardi's). I don't go there as often as I used to, but stopped in today to hit up their salad bar. They've always had a pretty good salad bar there, and today was no different. As soon as I opened the door, all I saw was piles of cases of beer, etc. everywhere. I almost couldn't even see the salad bar from the doorway. It seemed like a strange place to have it, right there in front of the doorway, but I guess the idea is to stop in for your beer really quick. I don't know - I think it's gonna be a while before I get on the get-your-beer-at-the-grocery-store bandwagon. I much prefer stopping in my local package store. Anyway, that said, this Giant is a nice store and service is typically good.

Yelp
I hate this store It's Thanksgiving, so I ran out to get cranberry sauce You have to look twice after asking for help because it's on the very bottom shelf with no extra signage They have tons of stuff in your face as you walk around the store but you need a magnifying glass to find cranberry sauce on a holiday So I get four since it's four for five bucks But oh, you need your shoppers card! GMAFB This store bleeping bleeps

Yelp
Much better experience with Manager, Dave, who responded to email feedback, and took action to add missing products to store inventory. Thank you, Dave! This store is closest to our home but we have had trouble with availability of organics and gluten-free/casein-free stuff we regularly buy at other Giant locations. I know it is a smaller space, but I (and hopefully other locals) appreciate shelf-shuffling to get my products up there. According to Dave, they will now be carrying the products I asked for, and it only took him a week to get them on the shelves. THAT is service! Will be in soon!

Yelp
Feel like I'm disappointed at least once a visit, be it selection (usually), customer service (occassionally), etc. Obviously a very old store which hasn't been updated in 25+ years. Also has to have the worse bathroom set up I have ever seen: Beside the fact there is a 95% chance it's in use whenever you try, it's got a urinal next to a toilet, no partition, essentially making it a one-at-a-time restroom unless you want to talk to the guy two feet away from you taking a crap Final verdict: tear it down. I head elsewhere whenever I can

Yelp
So for the first time ordering our Thanksgiving dinner this was a flop!!! Thanks Giant I called the 1-800 number as directed on the flyer, spoke to a human being and placed my order. Received the confirmation email with all the correct details. I arrived at the store for my scheduled pick up & not only did they not have my order they also had no knowledge of my order. WTH????? A extremely nice employee took the time to put an order together for me.. mind you I ordered ham... No hams were to be found.... Lesson learned NEVER COUNT ON ST. DAVIDS GIANT FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS

Yelp
It is always a pleasure to shop at Giant. I am very impressed with all of the friendly workers. In particular, I would like to highlight Giant cashier JOSHUA. This employee is a great asset to the store. He is always, friendly, patient and willing to help. Congrats on having hired Joshua!

Yelp
Huge giant. parking lot is a little strange. I hope that the chaos was just from Sandy blowing through and not a normal Saturday, but time will tell and I will adjust my review accordingly. I like the cafe idea although I haven't tried anything yet.

Chris M.

Yelp
So in need of a cleaning and upgrade. I shop here out of convenience - it's very close to home. In the 10+years since Giant took over from Genuardi's, I don't believe I've ever been in this store without seeing a bucket of some sort collecting water from a leaking ceiling. IN A GROCERY STORE! The bathrooms are gross. The 'fresh' fruit and vegetables, when even stocked, are awful . Rotting fruit, old vegetables. Shelves are inconsistently stocked with even the most basic of items. I'm not sure when it became expected that I bag my own groceries in the manned check out lanes, but I just refuse to do so anymore. They will pile your purchases on the small round spinning bag holder and will not places items in the bag until you simply stand and stare. Don't give in! I cannot believe the community puts up with such a mess of a store in an otherwise upscale area. Time to shut this turkey down. Prices are crazy high, so you may as well shop Wegman's and get good service and fresh food for the high prices there. Let's demand better for our town!!! Enough is enough.

Yelp
Got a letter in the mail yesterday (March 25) that the pharmacy was closing on two days (March 27) and that they were sending all prescriptions to CVS in Wayne. What??? Who gives pharmacy customers two days notice of closing? What gives them the right to decide where my prescriptions are going? I have never seen such total disregard of the customer/patients best interest. It is just disgraceful and a clear sign that they don't care about their customers at all. I have been a customer of that store since it was Genaurdis (a much better market). I now have no reason to shop there instead of Wegmans.

David D.

Yelp
There wasn't a single employee wearing a mask there. Middle of the omicron surge and maskless people just coughing into the air. Unhinged.

Yelp
Love the salad bar here. That's what I'm primarily reviewing. Lots of options, all of which always seem fresh. I have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. There is a little dining area if you want to eat in. Lots of parking. There is also a Starbucks in the same location if you want a coffee drink. Solid healthier dining option if you are looking for one.

Yelp
The selection can be off at times, but they more than much up for it with great employees, who are always eager to help. The store itself is very clean, and they have a big parking lot.

Yelp
I don't normally shop here. However, this review is for the recent customer service I received on my visit. I came here the other week a little after 7am to get a septa pass. I had to catch the train around 7:40 to get to my class. When I arrived, I noticed the customer service counter where you buy the passes did not open til 8. I was in a panic because I had to catch the train. The man working nearby said he couldn't do anything because the passes were locked in the back. However, he ran around to locate a lady who I guess was a manager and she was able to go back and get me one. It was really my fault for not knowing the hours, but they gave me great customer service, as it should be, and I was able to make it on time.

Yelp
I was in this store for the first time, and needed something v. specific but could not find it. I asked an employee for help, and she couldn't find it either, so I gave up and continued shopping. About five or so minutes later, she came running up to me with a big smile--she had kept looking and finally found it shelved inconspicuously and non-obviously. I wish that I had gotten her name, because she got my vote for Employee of the Week. When I thanked her, she said, "I'm just doing my job". Yes, true. But also way above your job description. Thanks again!

Yelp
I like this new Giant. It is a good grocery store and has all that you need. The pricing is about right. There is a good selection. The one thing I have a problem with at this giant location is SOME of the staff not all. The staff that carried over from Genuardi's are the ones that I truly enjoy and our helpful. The newer staff need to smile more, stop acting passive aggressive and drop the attitude. Half of them don'e even pay attention to customers because they are so immersed in talking amongst themselves. It is great for a quick stop and shop but I say Wegmans is where its at!

Mari P.

Yelp
I went to this Giant store at 550 E Lancaster Ave,Saint Davids. I picked several items and intended to pay at the self-pay machine with a 100 dollar bill. The machine was returning the bill back and when I asked for assistance from the Giant's employees around, they told me that there is nothing they can do. I called for the manager who was Tiffaney and when she came she also told me my bill is not good. This was a legitime bill and she made me feel as I just fabricated it thus the experience was humiliating, unpleasant and I had to leave without my items. Nether the manager nor the employees offered to process the payment manually or break the bill or help in any way.

Yelp
I'll preface this by saying I love Giant. I've shopped at the chain for years and it's never disappointed me -- until now. The fresh fruit selection here is ridiculously terrible every time I go in. I've seen moldy peaches hangin' out in plain view. I've inspected numerous packages of berries with white fuzz already growing inside. Not even 48 hours ago (late Saturday evening), I got a package of nice looking figs. When I got into them the following morning, I found one covered in mold -- blargh. The rest were fine, so I ate a few. But this morning, the rest of the batch were inedible for the same fuzzy reason. I know figs have a short shelf life, but I've never had them rot this quickly. What gives? Maybe it's just soft fruits. I don't know. I don't care. I just know there's no excuse for such a large portion of the fruit selection to be this consistently awful. Everything else is fine though, which is why I give this location 2 stars. But then again, who wants to run around to multiple stores? I'll stick to the other Giants in the area.

Lisa T.

Yelp
I will never return to this store. They gave the RUDEST, most unprofessional staff. The assistant manager told me, "Shhh, don't bother me" when I started to ask him a question as he was fixing something on my self checkout scanner. I told him later that his comment was totally inappropriate and unprofessional. He had the audacity to deny ever saying it. I was a foot from him when he made the comme oh, there was nothing wrong with my hearing. As he kept denying it, they finally called him a typical millennial. He said, "I won't tolerate you calling me names. Please never return to this store." He actually was following me out of the store as he was saying this. It just proves that he is the worst of what it means to be a millennial. I called giant corporate that day and don't know what the outcome was. On top of that, I asked two stockers for the location of two different items and they were incredibly rude. One guy didn't even look at me and just pointed without a word. The other one just looked disgruntled. Who needs this? I'm an essential worker as well and try to make my customers feel appreciated. This giant might want to change their tune a little bit. If you can, go to Wegmans in King of Prussia. You're always guaranteed a professional, friendly experience.

Yelp
Went to indulge in some fried chicken. It was a few minutes before noon and all they had was white meat. Time to find another place to stop

Yelp
Meh. I miss Genaurdi's... This is basically the same thing as the old Genaurdi's minus the community/ family feel to it. No personality... At least they were able to keep Chet :)

Mike M.

Yelp
Be very cautious. I caught them re-labeling meat. I purchased a custom cut pork loin (huge fricken thing) "Packaged on 10/4/15. Peeled the label off to take a picture to show everyone my purchase, low an behold, a completely different Packaged on date. Corporate didn't even apologize when I called, just said "yea, that shouldn't be happening, I will need to escalate that". Didn't even ask for my name or contact information. This tells me they know about this practice and most likely won't go to anyone past the call I made. This wasn't the first time that I got suspicious meat but will certainly be the last. Not to mention the other numerous already expired food on their shelves. Needless to say, will never ever be shopping at this shaddy Giant again or any Giant for that matter.

Yelp
this place was bought out by the giant supermarket and is undoubtedly better. i wanted the salad bar and enjoyed it pretty well. i was looking all over for utensils and they were located forking far away by the exit doors. it was just fine.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
Great location, clean and they always have everything we need in stock. The employees are all friendly and the service is great. The check out is fast and they always have great deals.

Yelp
Customer service is excellent and workers are nice and friendly. They have a great prepared foods selection for a grocery store and I've had pleasant experiences at this location.

Matti S.

Yelp
I'm pretty much a fan. The Genuardi's that was here prior to Giant opening seemed to carry a limited stock so it's been refreshing to be able to find more of what I want here. One thing I noticed last night while shopping -- I went to the deli to get fresh sliced deli meat. The lady that helped me had been out in the grocery area in front of the deli counter, I'm assuming that she was straightening up or something. When she came over to take my order, she didn't change her latex gloves. She proceeded to slice the meat and touch every piece of it. Normally, I wouldn't be skeeved, but are the gloves to protect her or the customer? After she's touched who knows what in the deli area, it just seems unsanitary. I did notice that all of the deli associates were wearing gloves which gives the illusion of cleanliness, but how often are they changed? Just curious.

Judy D.

Yelp
Like the store and usually stop by for some great NOVA lox. Typically there is a gentleman who works behind the deli counter that takes care of cutting the Lox. He does a great job in cutting the Lox "very thin" as it should be cut (and always was done throughout the ages). On Thursday January 25, 2018 at about 12:30 we stopped by for some Nova Lox. It was't the typical guy who always does a great job slicing the Lox very thin. There was a different guy (older with a cap and wire rim glasses) who had no idea or just din't care what he was doing. The Lox was cut very thick which imparts a different flavor to the Lox/Bagel sandwich when eaten. You would think that for ~$32/Lb they would take their time and do it right. The guy cutting the Lox wasn't a young kid which I could excuse from lack of experience. He was just lazy.

A B.

Yelp
Do any of the check out staff know how to say hello or welcome to the store. This place keeps going downhill more and more every time I visit. The nagger was very friendly though.

Hannah S.

Yelp
the two starbucks employees in this giant location had the BEST costumer service i've ever experienced in a grocery store! kelsey is a great barista!

Yelp
Every week for the last 3 months my Father (who lives several hours away) has called the St Davids Giant and purchased a $200 gift cards over the phone for me to later pick up in the day to help me purchase groceries. This has never been an issue until today. Customer Service Associate Alicia was extremely rude to my Father over the phone, in his words she was arrogant and hung up on him during his request and stated they've never done that before, the conversation got pretty intense which prompted my Father to ask Alicia if she was calling him a liar.. She said if he wanted to buy a gift card he could drive several hours to the store and purchase them himself. My Father called me back in tears upset he was unable to help me as he was able to the last 3 months. We both called back and spoke with assistant manager Rick who similarly told us that they don't take currency over the phone. I explained to him we've been loyal customers, regularly purchasing $200 worth of groceries per week for the last 3 months. Both Alicia and Rick did nothing to accommodate us, and truthfully weren't really willing to even try. It was obvious by the time I called, Rick was annoyed with the situation and did not want to speak with me. St Davids Giant - you just lost 2 loyal customers. How could you tell him he had to drive several hours to purchase a gift card when we've done this weekly for the last 3 months?

Jocelyn B.

Yelp
I've lived in Radnor for 2 years and until recently have I seen the quality go down and the prices go up. Yes, I understand that living on the main line will guarantee higher prices, however their produce always disappoints. I can honestly compare some of the fruit to the fruit you would buy at Wal Mart (bruised or mushy). Like I said, it wasn't always so, just something I noticed in the past few months. However, their fish and meat are always very good. One thing that irritates me though is the rudeness of the majority of employees. Some are nice, especially at the pharmacy but every time I call or talk to costumer service, they just grunt some inaudible short response and are very rude. Unfortunately I don't have the money to constantly shop at Trader Joes or Whole Foods and Giant is within walking distance of my apartment, so I try to ignore these issues, however I feel they need to watch their prices and the quality of their food.
