Giardino Lago, Minusio-Locarno, a Member of Design Hotels

We stayed here in April 2024 and have nothing but great things to say about our stay, especially thanks to Sandro and Phillip! We were due to arrive a little late and Sandro emailed us to make sure we weren't having any problems finding out way to the hotel. As soon as we arrived in the evening, he was very attentive to every detail and even notified us that we had been upgraded to the best room at the hotel! The hotel itself is very small and intimate, but our room was spacious and had the best views of Lake Maggiore and the front of the hotel. They also have bikes and paddle boards that you can borrow free of charge, so we went for an evening bike ride along the river which was very serene. I should also note the convenience of the location of the hotel, as both the bus stop and train station were only a few minutes away and Philip at the front desk was able to get us free bus passes. He was also very informative and able to answer any questions we had. We had breakfast at the restaurant which is attached to the hotel. They had buffet style items as well as a menu from which you could order omelettes etc. The inside of the restaurant was decorated very nicely and also offered a nice view of the lake as it is right beside it! All in all, I would 100% recommend this hotel if you're looking for a relaxing getaway. We're already planning on going back with more people next year!

Hello everyone! The hotel is just fantastic. Its location on the lake is perfect. The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond to meet every single one of our needs. I would particularly like to thank Philippe at the front desk and Sophia at the restaurant. They made our stay very memorable. Now, let’s talk about the rooms. This is a small boutique hotel, so the rooms are not big, but they are still very enjoyable. Some of the rooms also have terraces. Additionally, for the guests of the hotel, there are bicycles available at any time in front of the main entrance, as well as a paddleboard stand. Overall, the ambiance is very calm and relaxing, and we will definitely come back for sure!

I travel frequently but have never been inspired to write a review. This trip was my first fully relaxed vacation. The hotel is gorgeous, overlooking a beautiful lake and line of wonderful snow capped mountains. The staff is very friendly and accommodating-all of them! The restaurant has very good food with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating. The rooms are quant and comfortable with a home-like feel. I will be back!

Our short stay was exactly what we hoped for. The service was outstanding both with the hotel staff as well as the restaurant. Front desk help was very professionally and kind. It was truly a lovely experience. Clean rooms, beautiful terrasse, great food. We will be back and I will recommend to family and friends.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Giardino Lago. The hotel staff were so kind and hospitable. We used the provided bikes and paddle boards to explore the town. Breakfast and meals at the restaurant were wonderful. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Very nice boutique hotel, with very welcoming people. Great food at the hotel restaurant with an astonishing view right at the lake. They offer bicycles for free, only 20min ride from Locarno, along the lake, very nice. Breakfast of high quality food, presented in a very nice way, not too much on the buffet plates, but really high quality food.|We will definitely come back as soon as possible.

Based on pricing we had high expectations and were disappointed as “value for money” was definitely not there. Personnel was rushed and less attentful. Rooms relatively small and food/ drinks prices too high for what you get!

Clean, hotel beautifully situated on the shore of Lake Maggiore. Excellent breakfast included with the room which was packed with amenities.
