We've been a number of times and have always enjoyed it tremendously! The pasta is homemade and absolutely delicious. The sauces and flavors are so amazing. We love everything that we've tried but have a few standouts that we order on repeat as you can see from the photos. I love how they decorate the interior for different holidays and seasons. They really pay attention to the details and it shows. One of our absolute favorite restaurants!!!

Google
Delicious Italian Food with the Most Charming Seasonal Decor in the ShouthShore! Not only is the food here is absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic — but the seasonal decor makes the experience even more special. Every time I visit, the restaurant is beautifully decorated to match the time of year, whether it’s cozy fall vibes, twinkling winter lights, or fresh spring blooms. It’s clear they put thought and heart into every detail. The warm, welcoming ambiance pairs perfectly with their homemade pasta, the seasonal drinks, and heavenly desserts. You feel like you’re dining in a small town of Italy — with a festive twist! Highly recommend for date nights, family dinners, or any time you want great food in a beautiful setting.

They did an adorable job decorating this place. The food was delicious and our waitress was very kind. Seafood platter, stuffed chicken, marsala, cookie skillet, dessert and yummy drinks. The coconut margarita was my favorite.

We came to celebrate a birthday. I was surprised at all the decorative touches! Added a special touch to celebration. The server was nice, attentive and quick. Our food arrived quick, looked just as attractive as the space and more importantly tasted delicious! Highly recommend a visit!

I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. The decor is stunning, which initially drew us in and made us excited to celebrate here. We made a reservation for 7:30 and noted it was a special occasion, but no one—neither the hosts nor our server—acknowledged it. This was disappointing, as we love ordering wine and champagne to mark celebrations, and it would have been nice to feel the occasion was recognized. The service was the biggest letdown. Our server was barely present, and we often had to rely on bussers and food runners to address our needs. At one point, we even had to track her down to find out what happened to part of one meal that was delayed while everyone else had their dinner. Additionally, one pair in our group was sharing the prime rib, which we mentioned to the server, but no sharing plates were provided—we ended up grabbing plates from a nearby table ourselves. Water refills were another challenge; despite asking multiple staff members, our table never received more. When our server did stop by, she seemed annoyed, which made us feel unwelcome. While everyone can have an off day, poor service really affects the experience—especially when you’re out celebrating. On a positive note, the drinks were excellent—the Grinch and White Christmas cocktails were a hit at our table. The food was also tasty, with generous portions that we enjoyed. However, one major issue overshadowed our meal: bugs. We noticed several in the dining room, including on and around our table. It was unsettling and unsanitary, leaving us with a diminished appetite. Overall, while the ambiance and food have potential, the lackluster service and hygiene concerns made it difficult to fully enjoy our evening. I’m not sure if we’ll be returning anytime soon.

Google
This is a really nice place, although seating and service are a bit tough when they're busy. The food was incredible, from the appetizer to the main course. Would definitely suggest and would definitely dine here again.

I took my Wife and toddler out for dinner. Everything was perfect! The hostess was so amazing, she even let my son keep a little toy duck! I was a big fan of the lemon garden vibe they currently have as decor. The waitress was also very helpful and personable. Overall they had amazing service, and the price was great too! We can't wait for our next visit 😃

Google
The outside looked great. Reviews looked good. So why not try for a date night? Worse decision ever. We ordered fried chicken wing app and they came out looking like mozzarella sticks. Literally wrapped in batter and fried like mozzarella sticks!! It was the weirdest tasting wings I have ever eaten. Then the entrees came. One seafood platter and a chicken parm. The seafood was flavorless and tasted like it was in old grease. The tomato sauce tasted like it was canned and expired. It actually started making my wife stomach turn before we even left the table. I understand a bad meal here and there but everything being awful hasn’t happened in awhile. Maybe the disappointment of the year.

Yelp
Attention to a last minute large order was amazing. Staff called to be sure order was correct and timing of completion was agreeable. The front staff assisted to bring order to my car. This was ahead of a snow storm and food was for hard working nurses and CNAs. Staff loved it! Thank you much, Christina.

Yelp
I've driven by this restaurant for ages. stopped in for dinner with a friend. Staff is friendly enough and we were seated immediately. In short order, a bottle of still water and bread and dipping oil arrived. Sad to say, the bread was not good. Supposed to be focaccia, but it was dense and seemed stale. Oil was tasty, but we couldnt eat the bread. i ordered eggplant & veal parm combo. friend ordered eggplant parm. My entree was correct but friend was served veal. Server took hers away but it was almost 25 minites before its replacement arrived. I tried to hold off eating my own dinner but it was silly to try. Finally the corrected entree arrived. Server was very apologetic and offered a free dessert to take home. We ate our meals, which did not skimp on portion size, but it was just meh for me overall. My veal was delicious, but the eggplant prep was texturally off--some undercooked, some eneven and hard to chew.

Yelp
We have tried this restaurant 3 times. Every experience was awful. We were regulars before COVID. But since then I can't understand what has happened. Maybe new owners? The service was terrible and the food was gross. I can't believe I'm using that word but it's just what it was. It's unfortunate. I'm heading this from a lot of people so I know we are not the only ones. Hopefully they can figure it out...

Yelp
We had the best experience here over the weekend. My husband got the shrimp and lobster Giardino and I got the seafood and vodka sauce special. Both meals were some of the best food that we have had in a restaurant in years. My daughter loved the spaghetti and meatballs and ate the whole meatball. The pasta as fresh and tasted homemade. Each sauce with each dish felt special and was amazing. The place was decorated beautifully for Christmas. It was a great experience all around. We can't wait to go back. The service was also very fast and friendly which I appreciate with a toddler. 10/10 dining experience. The restaurant also felt clean and well staffed.

Yelp
We've enjoyed dinner here a couple times over the past few years. After a long absence, we returned recently and had a great experience. Drinks, meals, staff...all were on point. We decided to return to purchase a gift certificate for someone special and planned to stay for dinner. The experience we had was 180 degrees from the prior experience. When we had dinner a week or so ago, our conversation with a regular patron revealed a frustration that Giardino's wasn't as busy as they should be. Given all the positives it was difficult to understand why the place wasn't consistently busier. Our recent experience was horrible. We were served bread and water and had to wait much longer than you'd expect for a server. The server asked if we had been asked for drink orders yet. When we said no, she took our drink orders and disappeared. Probably 12-15 minutes later the drinks arrived. We ordered two entrees and finished our drinks about 15 minutes later. We sat with empty glasses for another 10 minutes or so and our entrees arrived. Despite empty glasses, the server didn't check on how the entrees were or whether we wanted to order another drink. Our entrees were delivered by kitchen staff. I know the server was busy but she wasn't giving the attention to her customers that she should have. The table behind us was overheard discussing the lack of service and decided to leave zero tip. We typically leave 20%+ for decent service and did so. Looking back on the experience, I think a floor manager would be effective in keeping things moving properly in the restaurant. It was clear some of the staff was spread thin but with kitchen staff delivering meals and a bus boy (with a rolling cart) clearing tables, I'd expect the servers to be a bit more focused. All in all, the restaurant is very good. Large menu, good drinks, but way too inconsistent. They need to do better. Hopefully, the management is paying attention to feedback and does something to make visiting Giordino's a consistently good experience.

Yelp
Meh. I ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo and the chicken pieces were so thick and hard to chew, it was just unenjoyable. Some pieces of broccoli were cooked perfectly and others were very hard. My Diet Coke was flat and food took a looooong time to come out even though there were only a handful of tables. My cousins ordered salads but the steak dinner came out first? It was really odd. The bread also just wasn't good, it didn't taste right and didn't seem thoroughly cooked. Service was great and the inside was really nice but it took way too long for our dishes to come out considering 2 of the 6 were salads and the other two was a kids mac and cheese and pizza

Yelp
"My experience at the restaurant was fantastic!!!the food was delicious , Steak was so great. the service was outstanding, and the ambience was warm and inviting. The beautiful Christmas decorations added a magical touch, making the evening even more special."

Yelp
We went to Giardino's about a month ago. The restaurant is beautiful. We opted to sit at the bar. We had the pleasure of being waited on by Wendy. She was knowledgeable of the menu. And had some recommendations. Which the both of us decided to order two of what she recommended. They were both part of the weeknight specials which came with a house made soup. I had the stuffed chicken risotto and my friend had the ziti bolognese. Wendy was right! We both loved our meals. The risotto was one of the best I've ever had. Creamy and cheesy. And the chicken was perfectly cooked. Juicy and crispy on the outside. My friend said her ziti bolognese was one of the better bolognese that she's had. Perfect balance. And the pasta tasted homemade. Both meals were plentiful and the price was great! For drinks, I had the salted caramel martini. It was so good. It had a lightly salted caramel rim and had a lacy caramel candy as a garnish. It looked so pretty. My friend had the Giardino's margarita. It was in a huge margarita glass with a light in the bottom which gave the drink a definite wow factor. Unfortunately we didn't take pictures. We will definitely be back again! I highly recommend Giardino's

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Great experience! I heard about the beautiful decorations and had to visit! The food was delicious, and the drinks were so cool. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Brought my daughter out after fireworks so she could have something to eat before bed , she is a picky eater and still enjoyed her jumbo meatballs while I enjoyed my martini and so ya very prompt service as well
google avatar

Shanice G.

Yelp
Cheryl W was so great to us. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and we loved how patient she was with us! The food was delicious and they gave great portions for a reasonable price. We had the chicken Parmesan spaghetti and steak tips and mash potatoes!

Yelp
Don't waste your time and money in this place. I went for Mother's Day for lunch and the food seemed reheated, with a very bad appearance. I chose meat with a terrible flavor, my children barely ate it and not even the dessert option was good. To top it off, the price was absurd and they charge a mandatory tip of 20%.

Joao C.

Yelp
Great food. Great drinks. Never understand how people leave bad reviews! If anything is ever not up to your expectations, they are always more than happy to make it right. I love the steak tips specifically on the steak tips gorgonzola

Diana P.

Yelp
The food was excellent. We got bruschetta appetizer. Very good and plentiful and a great price. My husband got the grilled pork chop and I got steak tips. He loved the pork, best he's had and we know pork is hard to get right. My steak tips were amazing. I really did cut them with my fork. However, we will not be back. The decor was nice but the lighting was up so high you needed sunglasses. The worst part? The music. It was loud and heavy metal. It was awful and certainly did not go with the idea of an Italian Steakhouse. We mentioned it to our waitress and she said tonight was the bartenders choice. Okay, so play it in the bar area, not where people are trying to enjoy a nice night out. Such a waste fantastic food.
google avatar

Nana C.

Yelp
We sat in the bar side which is casual but a bit noisier than the dining room. Our server was friendly and accommodating. The red sangria was delicious with a hint of raspberry. The creative grilled avocado sandwich with gooey cheese was tasty, although the bottom slice of toasted bread was soggy by the time I got to the second half. (I suggested serving it vertically, in a wire basket, such as those for fish and chips so the vegetable juices drain off. The Brussels sprouts that I substituted for the fries were tender but not overcooked. The bacon cheeseburger with mashed potatoes was satisfactory.

Yelp
This is one of my, if not my favorite restaurant. The food is fanatic. I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point, and it has all been amazing. The service is fantastic as well.

Donald B.

Yelp
Waited 25 minutes for service. When no one came over we had to tell 4 women standing at the desk doing nothing about how long we had to wait. Little response. No apology

A S.

Yelp
It was okay but if you're a gnocchi fan, as I am, theirs are not it! More like clumps of, what I assume is potato, dropped into a frialator. Don't waste your calories! Also, your website is terrible!
google avatar

Caitlin C.

Yelp
Not worth the price; the food quality and portion sizes are not what you would expect for the amount charged. The meat and cheese board is lame for $28 considering the variety of meat and cheese is non existent and the meat is below deli quality; it's supposed to be served with fruits and jams but had a few rotten strawberries. I would rather eat at the Olive Garden.
google avatar

Harry S.

Yelp
3.5 Stars. Went here for a family dinner. Food took a while to come out, not everyone got their meal at the same time, not a big deal though. The marinated steak tips were delicious. I will admit they last piece I ate was very undercooked (I ordered medium rare). The brussel sprouts were yummy, but some were hard and some were soft. The gelato was very good but the portion was huge and too much to finish even though I was sharing it with my girlfriend.
google avatar

Ron K.

Yelp
Whatever employee thought it was a "good" idea to turn the entire restaurant over at specific time for Easter need to have their head examined. You had the entire restaurant trying to line up for the buffet all at the same time. Two stations and the people were on top of dash other. Food was cold and staff was no where to be found. I guessing they hired new people just for Easter. In an 1 1/2 our table of 12 was able to get 3 drinks total. Maybe the regular menu is better. Never Easter Brunch again.
google avatar

Patricia T.

Yelp
The restaurant is a great location for large parties. Food is great but would not recommend ordering entrees with steak. The people in my party who ordered steak did not have the best experience. However, the pasta and seafood dishes were awesome! The service was pleasant. The manager accommodated our group by turning on the light so we can take quality pictures of our group.

Shannon O.

Yelp
I'm sorry. One person CAN'T eat their lobster roll!! This is one of the best evah. Lunch tomorrow? Solved!

Donald M.

Yelp
What happened to this place? 8 months ago this place was our favorite. Since then they seem to have discovered corn starch. Everything has a cheap, cornstarch base - very NOT Italian, we tried the linguini with clams - terrible, no flavor at all. Not to mention is there a pasta shortage there all of a sudden? We had to ask for a little more past, there was barely enough for a child. We tried several other "go-to "' meals and the same thing, limited pasta with the serving, and cornstarch-based sauces with little flavor. I don't know if it is a new chef or what but we will be giving this place a long break until they can find a new chef or something. Stop using cornstarch as a cheap thickener, it is awful.

Yelp
Went there for my son birthday, great food, service was good. A very relaxing environment . I would definitely recommend

Yelp
This place is amazing! We went for lunch today and we had a special from the lunch menu. I had a seafood plate with a wine butter sauce, but I put jasmine rice instead of linguine. It was awesome it had shrimp, so many shrimp, little neck clams, and mussels in a white butter sauce with garlic. Lots of garlic. Delicious! There was so much I had to bring half of it home it was just too much. This was the best $18. I spent in a long while. I had a side Caesar salad too. What an amazing lunch I had and I'm worth it! This little gemstone is always surprising me. Just when I think I've had the best meal ever I try something new and now it's the best meal ever!! I've invited a few people now and Pedro has waited on me a few times and he's on par for a waiter, so attentive without being a bother. Just checks enough to find out how is the food and if we need anything else. The best service I've had in a long time. This a must try place and my New Go to Place.

Yelp
Glad we went here for New Year's Dinner. Perfect! Great atmosphere, food and service!

Lorrie R.

Yelp
The chicken marsala was good, the Steak tips gorgonzala was also good and the best fries anywhere. They should get two keno screens, one for each side of the dining room though!

Yelp
Very good place, excellent pizza, thin crust cooked crispy, fresh salad wonderful lunch service give them a try !

Yelp
Love this restaurant.they do not disappoint.food is chef's kiss. Cheryl our waitress is outstanding.absolutely recommend this place.

Yelp
Picked a restaurant for our valentines night dinner, we had never been here before and were more than pleasantly impressed. The service was excellent, the wait staff was accommodating, friendly, and eager to please. I ordered the duck and my husband got the prime rib, we ordered off their valentines menu, they were both delicious. They had special drinks with little red lights and free desserts. What a great night.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS! They need to tear this place down and build something new. Restaurants are obv tainted here. We just left lunch and I'm feeling like I'm going to puke when I get home. This place is RUN DOWN, FILTHY, and I cannot believe we just consumed food here. We got the Buffalo tenders, which were juicy and delicious, if you don't count the fact that who ever cooked them ripped them open to make sure they were cooked, I presume (but after the sauce though, idk) almost looked like someone ate half. Then I had a salad with hard boiled eggs and GROSS, the yolks were black! Who serves that to paying customers?! The bathroom was filthy, smelled like pee, no toilet paper and no paper towels. Wtf is going on here?! I'm disgusted.
google avatar

Gabby N.

Yelp
Restaurant is well decorated and I like the raised booth seats that they have. I ordered the steak and mushroom risotto but I didn't know it was based with cheese. I'm not much of a cheese girl but the steak and mushrooms tasted good. The portion was huge though, I was able to box more than half of it and have for lunch the next day. I also like that their to go containers and microwaveable. I would like to go back and explore the rest of the menu.

Derek M.

Yelp
Went to purchase a gift cert for my uncle for 250 dollars, and was charged a 3% credit card charge on top. Thought that was a bit harsh, but it was a gift. Come to find out my uncle had a bad experience during his last visit and refuses to go back, fair enough. I go to return the GC the next day and they tell me they can't do it. I can see why my uncle doesn't want to go back.
google avatar

Deanna M.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and the food. I would recommend the risotto and even buy the side to go sometimes. It is so good and always consistent. When in the restaurant, I ask for the salmon with the risotto and they are always more than willing to accommodate. My kids and husband love it as well so we know we are getting a great meal when we go. We usually get different foods each time we go and they never disappoint. Try the bolognese too, you will not be disappointed. I have been at the bar with friends and the atmosphere is always fun and they have great drinks. Would recommend.

Yelp
Even though we came on a Saturday day night without a reservation we were seated in a weird corner away from everyone, the waitress took almost 25 minutes to even acknowledge us or provide stale old bread and could not even give some recommendations as this was our first time dining here. We had the Sicilian Arancini to start which were ok and cold and for entrees my wife had the butternut squash ravioli which was cold and I had the 14oz Angus sirloin cooked medium which was also cold and had no flavor. On top of that our waitress was more concentrated on a bigger table next to us even though we are great tippers and appreciate great customer services which was lacking here. We definitely won't be back as the food and service is not worth the prices here.
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
We came here on Mother's Day. Considering how busy it was for lunch, the entire team did a FANTASTIC job. They had over 40 tables (including large parties) sat at the exact same time and we got our meals within the hour. I ordered the special- steak tips casareece. Best pasta I've had in years, and the steak was cook perfectly. Having worked in a restaurant before- I know how challenging this could be. Can't wait to return!
google avatar

Yelp
We finally tried them after a few years of talking about trying them out. So happy we did - staff was friendly and attentive but you didn't feel rushed even though it was a busy night. Beautiful atmosphere and extremely clean! One of the cleanest places I've been in ages. The bread was super fresh and served warm with dipping oil with water prior to order being taken. It was really hard to decide because everything we saw pass by and the menu looked and sounded amazing. We were very happy with our choices - filet mignon and the steak tips Gorgonzola. Both of our dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing - plenty of flavor. Large portions so I have a meal for tomorrow and very reasonable priced for a fine dining Italian restaurant. That being said - even though it's fine dining it would be kid friendly since the dining room is huge and spaced well. We will be back for sure! Wish we came sooner.

Debra K.

Yelp
Perhaps the worst brunch I've ever attended. You were given a 90 minute slot for Easter Brunch. Hostess station wasn't prepared for the onslaught of customers. The ENTIRE RESTAURANT got up to get on line all at once. Chafing dishes weren't refilled promptly and the food was sub-par There was no rhyme or reason to which way the lines were going. Everyone on line before and after me was disappointed and complaining. Also, it's Easter. Hire someone to wear the bunny costume with a personality. No friendly banter with any of the young children. Truly didn't want to be in that costume and it showed.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Bread and dipping sauce was good. The home made pasta was out of this world. The shrimp scampi dish was a huge portion and delicious. The Nutella cannoli's were excellent. Great Place.

Yelp
The food was so amazing and the staff was so friendly. Great food and great prices too. It's great for birthday celebration. They even sing for you. Great vibe and decor as well. Lastly great cocktails

Yelp
My wife and I were bummed when our Monday night sushi joint closed down (Great Chow). We thought it funny the Italian Restaurant that moved in would have sushi on the menu, but we gave it shot several months ago just after they opened. The sushi was terrible. Bland, too much rice... but, since the closest top class sushi place is all the way in Quincy, we decided to go last night to give it another shot. Fool me twice, shame on me. It's not sushi. It's an Americanized, poorly-crafted, knock-off. Still too much rice, anything spicy just means heavy gobs of spicy mayo, and (I can't make this up) the tempura flakes... French's fried onions. Do yourselves a favor and just scrap the "sushi" menu. It's embarrassing.

Yelp
First time in this area with some locals, and they're first time at this restaurant. All in all one of the nicest places I've been to in Massachusetts. The locals have even stated this is a new favorite date spot. Got the meat and cheese board for an appetizer and it was perfect for 3 people to share, with a selection that screamed freshly made. Entrees included a mushroom and spinach risotto for myself, grilled orange butter salmon for another, and a classic chicken parmigiana for the last. All three were beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. For dessert we shared the dessert sampler and again it was perfect for three people as well, with a taste of everything and something for anyone. Overall this was an amazing meal in a beautiful place and I would gladly be back. Also glad to try a place that seems to pride itself on fresh and homemade cuisine.

Yelp
First and last! The Hostess (loose definition) brought us to our table caarrying, menus, specials, drink specials and ournapkins/silverware . She left the "pile" placed and placed it onto the center of the table and left. We needed to set the table four ourselves. A bottle of water and empty water glasses were brought and placed on top of the menus. We needed to pour the water for each other. We each ordered a cocktail, an appetizer and our meal. Appetizer was served and a short time later (never asked if we wanted them served at the same time), the meal was brought. Our served never cleared off the appetizer plate so everything remained on the table. We were never asked if we wanted another cocktail. I asked for extra cheese. Server asked what was wrong and I said I just wanted extra cheese. She brought back three containers and tossed them on the table and abruptly left and not seen again until we wanted the check to leave- meal uneaten. Pasta was undercooked and veal overcooked. It was about 6:30, three tables were occupied and as far as we were concerned, others must already know what we learned. Staff is just rude and totally incapable of knowing guidelines for food service. The atmosphere and decor is as cold as the staff, no table cloths, nothing on the table other and salt & pepper. Stay away! There are many other restaurants around who serve food in a manner that says they are glad to see you, that they want to please and present their food in a manner that shows they have pride. Joao Jardim, you dropped the ball! One and one!

Corina S.

Yelp
horrible. 25 minutes for a burnt pizza with the wrong toppings. and zero apologies.

Yelp
The good was good enough but the portions are what try make it worth it. Their standard marinara sauce was very flavorful. The only glitch was that I asked for fettuccine and I'm pretty sure they gave me pappardelle (that, or they cut their fettuccine noodles too thick). Either we came out on the decision that we would definitely go again. :) also our waiter, Matt, was very personable and helpful.

Yelp
Pros - food and service were spot on. Shrimp scampi and even the kids ravioli had lots of flavor and you could tell the pasta was fresh. Our waitress was very attentive yet not pushy. Love that they are on Open Table to make reservations. Cons - there's something about the atmosphere of the place. Feels a bit disconnected between the bar area on the left and the main dining area on the right. Feels like they left a bit too much of the previous Chinese restaurant behind. Like the other poster said, the lighting is very bright and gives off a cafeteria feeling with the high ceilings. Definitely needs more ambiance/Italian vibes. Would be a great take out spot if we lived closer.
