Will has really created a magical little spot here at The Giddy Gannet in St. Monans. A place where the local community and tourists alike can come together for great coffee, a bite to eat, and wonderful conversation.
The scones are incredible (make sure to try one of the stuffed scones if you haven’t already!) I’m told the recipe is an age-old secret, stolen under cover of night centuries ago, from the Greek Goddess, Hestia — and then smuggled to Scotland to be forever guarded by Will’s family.
The cafe is dog friendly and also caters to those with gluten allergies. Your dogs will love it here, especially if you feed them a bit of bacon or sausage under the table. Sean, Tatiana, and the staff are all very friendly and provide service with smiles and positivity. Actually, I think our dog Stella loves them as much as she loves us.
I can’t say enough good things about the Giddy Gannet - it’s one of our favourite go-to places for a morning coffee fuel-up that feeds both the body and the soul.
**Be warned, however — If you DON’T like great coffee, scones, soup, cakes, and service, or if a mediocre cafe is just more your vibe — then you should probably consider somewhere else.**
Just go to the Giddy Gannet, tell them I sent you, and thank me later. Cheers!
