This is great hike with options of route ranging from easy to moderate. The views are great when there is clear weather. Choose to visit in off season and not a sunny day of you want to avoid crowds. The highest part has a few chains to suppor, which are fun to use.

I hiked to Giewont at the beginning of April. There was still a lot of snow on the ascent from Kuźnice, and I’m glad I didn’t descend on that same side, as it would have been quite difficult. The top of the mountain is easy to reach; climbing up through the chains wasn’t difficult. I descended on the west side of the mountain, and it was much better. There was barely any snow, and the stone stairs looked well maintained. I definitely recommend having microspikes with you when there is still snow above 1500m. Trekking poles can also be helpful. Beware of the avalanches. The view from the top is totally worth any difficulties!

Might be a bit scary for some, but the view from the top is incredible beyond breathtaking.

Giewont mountain is one of main popular in Polish Tatra mountains. Personally I like other places more as this is quite busy trail. I reccommend getting up early and starting climbing with sunrise.

Amazing mountain range in Zakopane. We visited in May 2017 and enjoyed the fantastic views. As you might expect at this altitudes, the weather can change pretty quick and we had massive hail stones. Worth packing a change of clothes just in case!

I went up this mountain twice on the first day of hiking and then on the last. View from the top are absolutely amazing. Always attempt to climb only when the weather is perfect ie no chance of lightning as the top of this mountain has a giant iron cross which I’m sure would love lightning so make sure you check the weather. in the summer when I went in June the mountain on the way up and down near the top had rocks which were very slippery and it was very dry. If it was raining I would not want to go up that mountain just because you have to be much more careful. Not to say that it can’t be done but it would not be as enjoyable as much as if it was a clear and dry day the view is stunning I love this mountain and I will come back to do it again.

Moderate to hard hike. Nice and sunny weather in October and less people. :) Breathtaking views.

Many tourists try to climb down wrong side causing danger to others. Be ware. Beside that, it is easy to climb and you get nice view from the peak.
