Cocktail bar with events and performances, bringing the fancy and the fun back to Cottage St. in the wake of Popcorn Noir/Platinum Pony's departure. Beautifully lit, easily the nicest looking and most unique interior on the street. A vast improvement over The Library (former occupant of the space), far more welcoming, including a floor to ceiling sliding window out on to the street in the warm months. Cocktails on the menu will set you back around $13, but you can get a regular well drink or a $3 Schaefer can. If you do spring for the fancy stuff, it's most definitely worth it.
The charge of "Brooklyn hipsters" sticks: it's a tiny space (hence the ironic name), cramped and not so lovely bathroom, and they even have trucker hats with the Gigantic logo on sale at the bar. A large rainbow flag hangs out front, though not is not ostensibly a queer bar.
Still, a wide range of people come through, the staff is all very friendly, and the events have a joyous vibe. Great place for both date night and mingling.
