10 Wonderfully Weird Beers to Drink First at the 2019 Minnesota State Fair | Eater Twin Cities

"I consider the Dill Pickle Kölsch from Tin Whiskers Brewery—served at Giggles' Campfire Grill—the world’s greatest beer to pair with a Bloody Mary. It’s an easy-drinking beer infused with fresh dill and cucumber from the Saint Paul Farmers Market and is appropriately garnished with a dill pickle and a piece of Havarti dill cheese." - Terry Horstman

Attended the 2025 Minnesota State fair on opening day. Was looking forward to trying their ‘new food’ “ Timber twists.” Wow! Was I disappointed! The sausage in the center was flavorless. The manicotti shell was OK. The bacon on the outside was nearly raw, And the way they slathered on the sauce, really did not contribute much and definitely took away from their finger food concept. Every year I always get the walleye fingers as well. Last year they were overcooked, and the fish inside was dry. I ordered them again this year and probably shouldn’t have accepted them because they were so brown. I suspected the results were going to be the same and they were. $25 For those two food items and we took a couple bites of each and threw the rest away. Might want to rethink these items or at least ask others eating them nearby what they thought. While my fingers could be corrected, but I don’t see a solution for the timber twist. That said, the lines moved very quickly, The staff was courteous, and the state fair environment is always a interesting place to people watch!

This is always a "must eat" at the State Fair, but this year the walleye fries were a disappointment. Dry, tough, overcooked. Next year we will try the walleye in the Food Hall

Had an ice-cold Grain Belt Premium tall boy can here during Back to the 50's car show. It hit the spot.

Had our all school reunion here in September. It was terrific! Out door venue, good food and very unique to be at the fair grounds when it is so quiet!
